Mi'la had prided herself as an adventurer of sorts. To her, the force was something to unravel like a mystery box. Of course, her time in the Living Sea had shown her many things, the wisdom she had garnered she felt would put her on par with Master Sakadi herself; but that simply was not true. If anything, her long hiatus had given her peace of mind, but that odd sensation lingered within her still. The nature of the Force had...changed for her. Not the force itself, but her place within it, and how she worked with it....it was indeed different. Not the same as when she had learned as a padawan, but still something she could use; though, it was difficult now to do so.

For now, the best she could do was to continue on. As the jedi from Gazian had revealed to her, the Force would guide her on, until she found that which she needed. Sadly, that route seemed to keep her away from her master. Away from many others that she called friend. She wondered if they even knew she was alive. A small part wondered if they cared. The truth was, it didn't matter if they did or not. The fact was, she was, and that would be enough.

Which brought her back to her current adventure, as she sat within the Karakoa, trying to process what all Master Yeoh-Mei had placed into the craft. The wold of Elyriat was an unknown for her, only known was it belonged to the Bryn, and few had set foot on the world. Which was all the more exciting to consider. Poking at atmospheric sensors, and frowned at what came back to her. "Type Two atmosphere. Looks like we need breathing masks. Not alot of life signs, so that's concerning. Thought the Bryn owned this world. Hm." She tapped at her lip, cybernetic lekku shifting over her shoulder, and coiling around her neck gently. She glanced to the jedi master, smiling.

"Well, this could only be the second worst decision I've made in my life, ready when you are master."

What was one more cybernetic appendage after all?

The Karakoa was moving and it was an coming up on the Bryn world... carefully as she knew from reports a lot of what they had done. "The Bryn fro reports largely took worlds and wiped out the populations." She said it with more of a dower and downcast head... it was a graveyard most likely and poisoned or at least a hazard. The atmosphere was something they could deal with as her robes gleamed with energies to protect her... a rebreather in her survival kit as she had it ready to be used and looked at the twi'lek. Someone she hadn't met before but she was always happy to meet new people. That the world they were going to was a Bryn world well she knew how to adapt and have some of her equipment securing her scarf as it hung behind her over the shoulder. "We should be touching down in a moment, there are rebreathers and other equipment if you need it."

The Twi'lek frowned at the jedi master reciting the history of the past. She had missed the ordeal of the Bryn, stuck in her own little hell with her loss of the force. She hadn't been there to be a protector, nor protect anyone. How useful was she in that conflict, the answer was not at all. Regardless, she would have to just accept her failure on that front. No use in whining over spilled milk. That was a human saying she had heard, and it was rather apt. She nodded, frowning slightly as she rose. "Understood Master, just hope this doesn't go south in a heart beat." She spoke, moving to retrieve a breath mask.

Unlike her companion, Mi'la wore no robes. What seemed like a suit fit for a smuggler, what with the short sleeved shirt and utility pants, coupled with goggles? She would seem no more a jedi than a space port mechanic. But, to Mi'la, that was part of her charm. Sabers clattered against her hips, but the Force around her was...off. She was a wound, a ghost in the force, and in spite of herself she could not keep that fact hidden.

She awaited her companion, fully decked out, goggles and mask on and ready.

She couldn't wait for this bad decision to be over.

The jedi master looked up at her... small Jin sure but she had jedi physique and muscles so that helped as she stood there in the shorter sleeved robes. The ship touching down and she rose up. "Ah have some trust in the force... this could end up being either really bad or really good but a place like this there may be a chance to plant the seeds to start healing the world. Something that would benefit other generations down the line." She said it and set the ship to cycle the air for them to go outside. Sliding her rebreather on and her saber was on her hip... the Hua blade on her hip as it pulsed with the mantle of the force Jyoti had gifted her. She opened the door and looked out on the world with nod nod of her head as the blue filter activated on the rebreather.

Mi'la suppress the urge to correct the master. Her trust in the force had ended last with her missing a limb and part of her Lekku. The Force and her hadn't seen eye to eye in a while, and she felt it would be sometime before they ever did. She reached out with the Force, like a blind man reaching into the unknown space, this place felt wrong. Sometimes, there were wounds so deep and horrid that not even the force could heal.

As the Master joined her in opening the door, embarking out into the world, they were met with a lifeless husk of a world. A dead wind bellowed, bringing a small rolling of dust with it. There were no structures. No plants. No animals of any sort. It was as if this planet had been wiped clean of life. Mi'la's hand settled on her blade, frowning as she stepped forward.

The filtered air tasted odd to her, and as she gazed upon the world, it reminded her briefly of Ryloth; but even her world was not so dead. "This place, it's...odd." She could feel a ghastly presence, almost like the specter of this dead world murmuring from underneath. It wasn't danger she felt, no, but mourning. She had felt such things before, when she witnessed death on a mass scale.

She felt alone, in-spite of the fact Mei stood beside her. She glanced down at the Master, uncertainty on her face. "Do you really think this place can know life again?"

She didn't feel so optimistic.

"I do." SHe said it walking out and she had her hands free to grab her blade should they need it but she was uncertain if they would. There was a feeling here on the world that was twisted and wrong but. "Life will eventually find a way, the chance to rebuild itself here might take time.. it might not be in our lifetime but with some help we might be able to encourage it." Wu said it while she was walking forward and searched around. Making everything in visually before motioning for the other jedi. "Besides a world like this... all of the worlds like this in the wake of the Bryn are going to need healing. THey are going to need jedi and many others to try and help them.... we have seen what can happen with House Io attacking Kashyyyk because they blame the jedi for the Bryn... it would go a long way towards breaking the dangerous rhetoric of Laertia if we bbegin the process."

Mi'la's brow raised at that, rubbing her temple. She knew the cycle of life, how things moved in mysterious ways and what not, but she didn't understand the wat this Laertia spoke. Truth be told, she didn't understand how such a woman could even ponder such things. She doubted that healing a world could fix much. With people like Laertia, there was only a handful of ways that could end; mostly in the death of the extremist. "No offense master, but, with a woman like that, I don't think sense can be made to them. I've seen her recordings, and what she says. She's lost herself to grief, or just distrust. It's hard to say but, sometimes others fall so deep, there might be no way for them to crawl back out." She sighed.

"Perhaps, such worlds should not be healed, but rather used as a means to show that failure is possible. Or, is that too negative to think of master?" The Twi'lek inquired, looking to the shorter woman with a glance of curiosity.

"It is not." She said it in regards but nodded her agreement in some cases. "Laertia is going to be hard... compassion for her would claim she isn't beyond reason but practicality says she isn't going to give up and based on the times she has been encountered by different jedi even when faced with the truth and proof she retreats into arguments largely about feelings ignoring the facts. Master Vanagor has had the most interaction with her." She said it and had seen the interactions, the speeches... it was absolute in how she went which the knight was not wrong... she wasn't going to be one to crawl back out of whatever pit she was putting herself into. That she encouraged killing not citizens of her house only meant she was quickly turning other governments off to her views which would be more dangerous. "But this world it should be healed or at least the attempt should be made... a memorial to the actions can be done... a rememberance to what came before should be here but leaving it scarred can create echoes that resonate in the force... a gaping wound." She said it and looked at her. "Not something that the jedi should ignore. If we can help we must."

Mi’la forced herself agree with the Jedi master, wondering if there was a way to reason with a mad woman. Mi’la personally didn’t think so, but that was not her place.

Nodding slowly, she took the masters words, and stewed with them. It just felt…difficult to grasp. Could such a place come back? She supposed deep down, she was pondering if she took could come back from what had been done to her. “As you say Master.” She sighed, hands setting on her hips, yet she still did not feel at ease. Something shifted under this world, Mi’la could feel it, like something scratching at the back of her mind. She stepped forward, and knelt down, hand pressing against the hard ground, as she tried to fixate on these alien sensations. “Sorry Master, something is…wrong here.”

She truly hoped this wasn’t just her.

Wu bowed her head to the jedi and well she wanted to ask more questions there seemed for a moment to be some thought but it was fleeting and gone before she could make an impression with it in her mind. THe twi'lek went towards the ground as she searched and Wu went over crouching for a moment as she touched the ground with a nod of her head. SOmething was here... something shifting and she spoke. "It isn't just you." She said it and mostly guessed what she was thinking... fun thing about mind games sometimes you tricked yourself but she had a grin on her faace as the thought.... "Well we didn't just want to be walking around a wasteland this could mean there is some sort of life here on the world."

The flow of life on this world was disjuncted, Mi'la could feel that now. The cycle of life did not work normally here, which had caused the lifelessness of this world that the pair now witnessed. The ground trembled underfoot, as Mi'la could feel something within the world itself shift. No, not the world, something under it, hidden. Mi'la frowned, rising as she unclipped one of her sabers. "Something has taken note of us."

There was a pulse in the force, something twisted, not Light or Dark, but just....wrong. Mi'la had felt it once before, when the Sith used creatures warped by their alchemy to attack, but this was different. It felt, like a droid. The Twi'lek tensed, feelings tightened in her gut, as she ignited her saber, feeling the entity drawing closer, yet she could not see it. She could sense it, and only barely at that.

Suddenly, it struck.

The ground before Mi'la and Wu exploded, as a large creature, covered in flesh and steel landed before them, mounted on crooked legs, it's body being part organic, part machine. A large bladed tail wrapped around from it's back, having narrowly missed Mi'la, as she raised up her saber to deflect the initial strike, parrying it into the ground. To her dismay, the tail did not snap at the strike, indicating it was far tougher than she would have thought. What truly bothered her, was that this thing was alive. It had emotions, feelings, and nothing she sensed now indicated a remotely positive reaction. It was warped with pain, rage, and concern. With the parry, it leapt back, some sort of anti-grav device nearly knocking Mi'la onto her rump in the process. "Well, so much for talking this out..."

Right as she spoke, the entity began to fire at the pair, as balls of plasma shot towards them from a cannon on the creatures shoulder, seemingly spraying weapon fire where ever it could even attempt to aim.

Swearing quitely to herself, Mi'la was focused entirely on dodging, as she flipped and tumbled past the on coming bolts, trying to work out how they could engage this enemy.

The twi'lek Mi'La was right as Wu sensed it she didn't need to crouch towards the ground... her hand coming out and being able to feel it from her small size... one of the benefits at least and she was prep;ared moving forward with the force when the thing first came at them. Her blade going to her hand as it activated with a purple blue color and she was able to feel it radiating throughout her body. Like static charge raising the tiny hairs on her arms. The first strike being deflected by the jedi knight while Wu moved to the side leaping and kicking off of some debris to catch its shoulder... then it jumped and she felt a repulse sending her back over. A twist and mid-air correction to land properly allowed her to go on and prepare when it started firing and her first instinct with the large bolts of plasma was to try and deflect.. her blade was able to do that with its internal components... but the shots were large and not directly aimed at them they went everywhere which could be an advantage while she breaathed in and then jumped dodging and speaking. "If one of us distracts it the other might be abel to get behind or close to take off some of the weapons." She could feel the emotions there and if it felt pain and emotion she didn't know if they could or should kill it but it was also shooting at them and that needed to be addressed first.

The globes of plasma sizzled and burned through their points of impact, the scent of the burning and boiling targets made Mi’la’s face twitch in disgust. Her lavender colored blade moved forward, swatting one of the globs down, bubbling a small bolder to her side. Realizing just how bad this was getting, she leapt upward, twirling about, her saber managing to find and intercept blots of plasma that came too close.

Landing, she could see the creature was seemingly on a warpath, not caring what it was targeting, as if it was panic firing. She had seen it before with new recruits, but never with machines like this. What in the name of the Force had happened here?

Hearing Master Wu speak, Mi’la ignited her second blade, as she held two sabers now, hoping that perhaps she could find a weak point here. “Try and distract it, I’ll go and see if I can take out it’s servos or firing mechanisms.” With that agreed upon, Mi’la channeled the force into her steps, but it lacked the totality of true force speed. Mi’la’s movements were like sudden bursts of acceleration, but she still moved far faster, although it looked so strange as she advanced on the target, attempting to come up from behind it,

She gave a nod to that... the twi;lek with two blades as Wu moved and focused... her sash around her neck moving behind her like a solid line as it enhanced her body and augmented her in the force. Being able to move and dodge around as she focused on the force and small particles of dust in the air. Using it to dust step and jump around with ateru to draw more and more fire. She was weaving between it and twisting he rbody. She stayed within a zone of control thhough and batted away plasma from her into the air and ground directly below being able to see the slagged rock and metal as it was hot enough to melt and turn it to glass for a moment before crackling and spiderwebbing itself.

The Jedi master was doing her job of a distraction rather well. As Wu continued her maneuvers to evade their attacker, Mi’la rushed up from behind, her steps slowing as she gathered the force from around her feet, and channeled it around her body. She leapt, using her control over air to wrap around herself, catching a large heaping of dust, as she flew up, and onto the shoulder of the creature, the impromptu dust cloud still raging about her. Using her sabers, she jabbed both ends into the firing port of the creatures shoulder, and was rewarded with an explosion of blue flames, she flipped over the creatures head, narrowly landing on the opposite shoulder no thanks to its movements, and followed up with another series of stabs. Again, more fire poured forth, and she found herself standing amoungst a mess. The cloud of dust she brought with her was now scattering, bits of newly formed glass shattered against the creature, though it did little to no harm in the process. Digging her sabers into the creatures arm, she allowed herself to fall, her blades unable to breach the armor, it rather kept her attached as she circled, and fell down. Using the force, the Twi’lek gave a series of quick slashes as the creature attempted to buffer her, Mi’la’s sabers striking at exposed sides, with only a few finding a mark.

Inspite of her best efforts however, she was sent spinning as the creature back handed her with its tail, smashing her into the ground, knocking her air filter aside, and sending her tumbling across the harsh barren ground. But it was not in vain, as erupting in gouts of blue flame and plasma, the creature reared back, slowed by Mi’la’s wounds, and if the right pressures were applied, it could very well be felled.

Wu could sense much and she was reaching out as Mi'la was attacking it.. she was at first seeming to fail but she had managed to damage it. Wu stayed there as she was deflecting and working to stop some of the last plasma coming around.. her attention to detail hopefully beneficial as she stepped off and lept into the air. Dashing forward and away from the craters to rejoin the jedi. She could see her lose her air filter and there was a danger there before she pulled with the force and pushed to have it go up and back towards her... the saber coming out and she slashed with it channeling the energy into her body and through the saber to send a shockwave so that she would try and detonate the damage done.

As she rolled, Mi’la felt her breath being taken from her, rasping for air as she finally came to a halt, she scrambled for the breathing device as Master Wu put it close enough for her to utilize. Being able to breath once more, she realized her sabers had slipped from her grasp during her tumble, and she was able to bare witness to Wu finishing off the monster.

As the Jedi master began her attack, the shock wave had an unexpected effect, as the blue flames were pushed against the creature, something within it seemed to ignite, as plasma mixed with something flammable, as it erupted in a magnificent display of flame and metal. A loud ‘boom’ echos, as the Jedi Master blows the creature in two, it’s body consumed by the flames, as it is reduced to a pile of flaming flesh and steel, only for the flames to quickly begin to die as the lack of oxygen saps it, leaving a disgusting glowing hunk of whatever that was.

Mi’la rose, collecting her weapons as she motioned to her master, rubbing her back as she was a bit sore. “I have no idea what that thing was, but I feel like there might be more where that came from. Wonder if we should just file a report and return with more people.” She muttered, gaze moving about trying to find a source for their attacker.

The only thing that stood out to her, was a column of rock several paces away, with what might have been a cavern nuzzled at its base. Then again, after that display it might have been better to just leave. She looked now to Wu for insight.

Wu stood there and in a moment as the explosion came she brought her arm up and prepared to shield herself with a force barrier. THe benefit of the robes and scarf were ease of force use... it made the strain of using stronger skills less on the mind and body when she watched it. Closing her eyes as the light got bright and she could see the aftermath. It reminded her and scenes from the Silver rest after the explosion and in the recovery phase... a dangerous time and she felt a sadness before speaking. "We could report it but we are here... if there is a danger of more of these things then we will want to put it in the report otherwise they might strain the resources being used for recovery and rebuilding the Rest... we want to be sure."

Mi'la gathered herself, calming her adrenaline riddled mind for several moments, before letting out a long breath. She supposed that made sense, but she was concerned if they could handle any of these creatures if they were to encounter more of the? She didn't like the answer that came to her mind, but they could at least report that this place was indeed dangerous. "If you think it wise Master Wu, we can continue on, I just fear there might be worse things than, well, whatever in the world those creatures were." She secured her sabers, turning towards the cave, and scowled at the sensations that it brought forth.

There was something just not right, but she couldn't work out what that might have been. The force was....twisted here, at least to her. Like the currents, the pulls, they were all wrong. Something was causing it, but following that line, those trails, it was beyond her ability. "Remind me when I have padawans, to never bring them to a place like this." She spoke, rubbing her brow as she shifted to the cave. It would be a bit of a walk, but she figured if they could just probe a little deeper, there might be a method to this madness.

Mi'la Undari Mi'la Undari

Wu gave a nod, they should continue on but being careful of it.. She wasn't going to say it would be perfect but she was more then happy for them to be able to improve in some cases. She was walking as she felt the force and the world itself.. Mi'le wasn't wrong there was something wrong on this world and it wasn't just the creature or whatever they had found... or had it found them. Wu was prepared either way and the pair of them would have to work at it. "I am ready though... we will just have to see what there is." She had a sense of adventure and maybe it was Kurenai rubbing off on her... you couldn't be around the mercenary mother of two of her padawans and not become braver in terms of going at combat scenarios.
