Steeling herself, Mi'la moved forward with the master, leaving their prints in the lifeless wastes as they trudged on-wards. She tried to think about what was wrong with this world, trying to remember if she had felt this before, and found nothing. Voss came to mind, but that was just from the dark-side. This was...almost like a perversion of the force. She wished she had more experience with the Bryn truthfully, because without it, she felt truly lost. As the pair neared the cave, the unease only grew within her, and Mi'la tugged harder on the force within herself for comfort. "Master Wu, have you ever fought the Bryn before?" She questioned, as she began to enter the cavern, drawing her saber and igniting it, as the lavender light of her blade cast down upon the pair, and punctured the darkness within, revealing a wide cavern, and a rather ominous dark hole in the ground ahead.

Large claw marks covered the stones here, and a strange goo like substance seemed to cling to the surface, the stench made her face curl into a disapproving wince, as it smelled like rotten fish. What in the name of the Force was this place? If the pair moved towards the large hole at the other end, they would find a strange glowing light from within, a sickly yellow color, that seemed to be emanating from down below, perhaps within another series of tunnels beneath them. The thought of going even further in however, did not sit well with Mi'la, but they had a duty to do. Looking to Wu, she shrugged, then looked back to the hole. "They never tell you how to deal with these things in the academy."

"No I never did." She said it and walked with Mi'le though as she thought about it and... she had retreated with some jedi to Tiantang.. to try and help it.. the Jin had managed to join the galaxy only for infighting and civil war to come to the planet and then space emperors.. not sith per say but they were the machinations of some... they wanted to exploit the world and use it... but didn't care about the local populations... so they just set about having them fight each other. Wu came back to herself looking at the hole as she thought about it and agred with the woman. "No they never do... though my master was a strange one... she would have put this as a scenario and likely just left me alone to deal with it." Jyoti hadn't been the best but she had taught the JIn the value of being attentive and careful with the details.

Well, it was unfortunate that given they were both jedi, neither had any idea what the Bryn really did. Regardless, she had understood most of the Bryn no longer existed, but that wouldn't be the first time some of the archives were incorrect. "Master Sakadi wasn't much different." She mused, wondering if it was possible their two masters knew each other. Not that it mattered. Some jedi masters were just stubborn like that, want their students to think for themselves, though with Sakadi, well Mi'la wondered at times if the woman was just trying to get them all killed. "Right, so, I guess I'll jump down, and if I scream then....well, I guess you go and get help?" She shrugged, smiling with a hint of uncertainty to the shorter woman. She really didn't like that purple light down there. Heck, she didn't like most of this stuff.

"Right, here we go."
She muttered, stowing her saber, and leaping down the hole. Using the force, she kicked herself back and forth between the rocks, lowing her descent as it turned out to be a nearly thirty foot drop, but Mi'la managed it with a big of difficulty, coming to a stumbling stop at the end, though she was fixed in place by what she witnessed. "Hey, you should see this." She tried to call out to Wu, but her voice died in her throat. Before Mi'la, several dozen vats of various creatures lingered in large tanks, a sickly yellow glow shined from within each of the containers, and she was left to marvel at the horrific sight of deformed and twisted creatures were kept within. She realized not long after, that a blast door had once kept this passage sealed, and was currently laying half way into the room, crumpled and bent to scrap. The Force disturbance screamed at her now, and Mi'la was sent to her knees as she felt the creatures seemingly taking notice of her, several unusual force entites began prying at her mind, and she was forced to stifle a yelp as she felt herself being picked apart, yet...there was something that kept these creatures from gaining hold on her mind. She managed to rise to her feet, but her saber burned brightly in her hand, as she felt that something foreboding was coming.

She really hated this place.

Wu was looking at her as they spoke about the Bryn. THe traveling was a small time though as they came to a hole and she looked down it.. there was something down there and Mi'la came up with aan idea... a horrible idea but they were jedi.. this was what they did and she watched the woman leap down into the hole as she tapped on her survival kit for the rope that they would be able to use and it was for descending downwards as she got it secured. She was looking at more of it as she felt something igniting her blade before she was dropping down to join her. The light from her blade casting light around her and Wu touched down making sure the rope was secured as it could be used to get back up quickly... her attention going around before she looked at the vats holding different things and Wu spoke. "Well this is not what I was expecting... something tells me there could be worse things down there."

As Wu moved to join her, Mi'la couldn't shake the discomfort she felt. Not with the fellow jedi standing by her, but just that something felt very wrong here and now.

She really hated this place. "I've heard that the Bryn had force sensitives they took into their fold, they morphed them into abominations, loyal to the cause. I wonder, if that's what these creatures are." She muttered, eyeing the tanks, only to feel that the creatures within them were starting to stir, as she realized it was not just herself these creatures were taking notice of, but the jedi master with her as well. "Wu, I...think we best depart." Mi'la advised, as she caught sight of something up ahead stirring, in a much larger vat directly ahead. Unlike the creature they had fought above, this entity had no armor welded to it's hide, though that did not make it any lesser. Rather than confusion and curiosity she detected from the rest of the vat creatures, the one ahead pulsated with aggression, and it was then Mi'la realized where that odd sensation had come from. For one reason or another, these creatures were being awoken just by the pair standing here, which to Mi'la made her wonder, just how many of these creatures were still on this world, waiting for a jedi or another force user to awaken them?

While she told herself it might have just been this batch, she very much doubted it. "No offense Master Wu, but I'm starting to doubt it could be much worse." Mi'la found that they could continue on wards, there was a walkway directly to their right if they wished to take it, but it meant walking past the vats that seemed to be stirring now. "Do you wish to keep pressing on Master, or....should we leave before we get in any deeper?" She asked, feeling that the longer they stayed, the worse things were going to get.

Wu was looking at the vats of creatures that seemed to be stirring and then there was something in front of them.. something that was aware and angry towards them. Her eyes flicked to it and she looked at it. "Maybe but you haven't fallen in a pit of dianoga.... lots of tentacles." It was meant as a joke... they were slippery and weird and lots of teeth but als usually just as scared when they were small enough. Wu was prepared though and spoke as she motioned backwards not taking her eyes off of the creature. "But we should maybe let it be... if it is stirred by us then like terentateks we should leave it be until we are prepared and ready to deal with it. Back up the rope."

Mi'la gave a concerned look to the jedi master as she spoke of falling into a pit of dianoga. The look, to say the least, was incredulous at best. Mi'la didn't want to ask, and she most certainly didn't want to hear whatever story might have been linked to Wu's knowledge on the matter. "Well, that's one thing I never hope to deal with in the future." She said calmly, eyeing the vats once again, and became alarmed at finding the creatures within it seemed to be stirring awake. "Right, back the way we came, yes?" She tried to sound calm, but she failed on both accounts, her tone and body language showing that she was rather concerned about what was unfolding before her.

Moving out of the vat room, Mi'la had began to slow jog towards the rope, though to her displeasure, she could hear a low 'thudding' of fists against the vats, enough that she brought herself to a halt, wanting to make sure Master Wu was not in danger. "Master, I think now would be a good time to run." She advised, hoping that this wouldn't serve to be some sort of 'lesson' Wu was trying to give her in the field right now.

Wu gave a nod and was moving back quickly but keeping her eyes on what they were seeing.. not looking would mean they had the chance to attack them from behind. She went to the rope though and motioned the other jedi up. "Get climbing... I will be right behind you." SHe said it while digging through what she had and the survival kit did have nothing highly defensive but she could at least use one of the compartments as a distraction and obstruction as she grabbed the field armory kit and tossed it with a small delay so it would open and create the mechanical station. Then she was starting to climb quickly with the force to enhance her movements up the rope with Hopefully Mi'la above her.

Mi'la didn't need much encouragement, as the knight merely shook her head and began to climb. Rather than taking the rope and climbing like a traditional person might, Mi'la called upon the force, and leapt, going into a flip as she touched the wall, she used it to kick off of, moving a good five feet up the passage, before catching hold of the rock wall, and again using it to kick off of. Her impromptu wall jump managed her a good ten feet up the cave, from which she grabbed at the rope on her return, hoping she had spared the jedi master the pain of having to wait for her to climb faster.

With a head start, Mi'la was already working her way up the rope, and being a skilled climber, she was already halfway to freedom as Wu began up the rope. Unfortunatly, she could hear the pounding of fists against the vats, and knew all too well what was unfolding below them, as a thunderous 'roar' echoed the cave that the pair were seeking to climb out from. "Talk about kicking the Mynock nest." She grumbled, wising she could somehow climb faster.

Mi'la Undari Mi'la Undari

Wu was climbing and gave a nod of her head as she listened to the pounding but she was calm... freaking out would not help them... it would only serve to possibly slow them down at this moment... when they got out of the hole and onto solid ground.. then run and make a note of how dangerous this place was. She was climbing faster though and getting out of the hole behind the twi'lek she rolled severing the rope so nothing could follow them... wishful thinking most likely but never knew. They would be able to move quickly as Wu stood up prepared for anything. "Maybe but it is best to know what we have here... we can get the other jedi the information about what is here and the risks.. they can proceed from there."

Mi'la was nearly to the top, though Wu’s words did very little to comfort her about the situation. Mi’la wasn’t panicking per say, but she had reservations about how the outcome todays events might unfold. Nearly at the top now, Mi’la conjured forth the force, and cleared the final stretch between herself and the cliff. Landing atop, she ignited her blade, and waited for Wi to finish her climb. “No offense master, but just in case….” She muttered, as she flung her saber overhead, cutting into the ceiling of the cave, and dropping a downpour of rock and debris into the tunnel below.

It probably wouldn’t stop the creatures from clawing their way out, but at least this way they’d be able to escape without having to worry about something following them. If Wu managed to continue on, Mi’la would follow behind the master, eager to put as much distance between this place as possible.

She gave a nod of her head using hewr saber to mirror the knights and drop rocks on the creatures. "No offense taken." She said it offering a raised eyebrow and then was moving back towards the ship as the saber came to her hand with a smirk appearing on her face.. it wasn't perfect but this was rather fun.... minus the chance they may have been torn apart but adventure was why she had joined that first team leaving their world and being discovered by the galaxy... that and her half sister well didn't know she was there... their father wanted her to protect her if even a little. "We'll be better able to do things from the air with my ship it has a lot of defensive cannons."

Happy to see Wu was on the same page as her, Mi'la kept in step with the woman, though what did her little comfort was the immense tremors she felt within the cave. Given how it came from below, she doubted it came from the pairs rock dropping tactics, the pained pulse that emanated from the force informed her that indeed, something horrific was now awake. "Right, so, thinking on it now, we probably will need those turrets of yours." Mi'la added, feet moving quickly against the ground, as that horrific feeling was only growing now. The pair would just manage to reach the ramp of the ship, before a plume of rock and dust arose from the cave.

To Mi'la's horror, a wave of creatures, too numerous to count, were rushing towards them, with one rather large hulking mass wading in the back. "Right, where are those turrets? We got one too many critters inbound." Mi'la stammered, feeling that sinister presence coming over her, and try as she might to drown it out, she could not.

Wu nodded when she felt the tremors and ran up the ramp of the ship as she was activating it. "Activate defensive cannons." She said it and the collected stars activated and was controlling the ship when she ran through it. Getting to the pilot seat and motioning to the weapons seat. "There are some of them." Her hand went to her saber and she slid it to the console between the seats as it was activating the vanguard cannon. The cannon using the saber hilt to unlock its firing mechanism as she spoke. "Just keep them towards the center." She said it while turning the ship and giving a chance to fire the guns but she was lining up the shot. The vanguard was important for a jedi as it was designed to only be fired after contemplation and thought about the weight of their actions... the jedi master pressing the trigger as it created a purple beam of energy. Designed like the high republic vector cannons which cleaved ships in half.

Mi'la sat down in the ship, watching as Wu began to warm up the weapon systems, recalling similar technology being used, but on a much less impressive level. She kept the controls focused, calming herself, directing herself on the mass of monsters that came to swarm them, reaching out for the Force for focus, for calming. Taking in a breath, she exhaled, the Force reaching for her under the mountains of disturbances. She could find it, an echo of the Force within the dead world, and from it, within herself.

She found peace, certainty, and conviction as she lined up the Vanguard, and unleashed it. The two bursts of energy fired forth, slamming into the masses, and reducing them to particles as they cut a swath through it all. She swept the weapon, back and forth as the numbers thinned, before focusing the cannon at the large creature, lining up at the center, hoping Wu's weapon would join, as the creatures seemed to have been eliminated in it's entirety, the Force roaring back at her now, as the creatures that disrupted it were reduced to nothingness.

She felt something however, something reaching for her, as if the Force was trying to come back to her. Yet, it again, felt odd. She felt so strange now as these creatures died, something Wu would feel as well, as the Force gathered around her, and seemed to almost dissipate as it did.

Mi'la Undari Mi'la Undari

Wu looked at the cannon fired and went right into the creatures... the power of it was immense and thaat was why it was locked without the saber as she removed it. The rest of the weapons would allow them to fight without the cannon. She set the autocannons to automatic fire controls that the computer could use... its variable weapons for attack would be important as she stood up and could feel the force. THere was something different here and she was wondering if they would be able to keep exploring or if they should head up and deploy some more equipment. With the droids in the small mobile bases she could deploy they could work on the tunnels and clearing them out.

Mi'la let out a sigh, relaxing as the creatures seemed to have been wiped out, and yet, there was a tremor still within the Force that didn't sit right with her. The ship dealt with what was left of the creatures, and replaced the concern with a great deal of issues to ponder about the current situations. Mi'la was left to question what the pair was to do. Maybe with inflection, and time to ponder about the coming course of action. "Wu," She spoke, feeling that the master was okay with their first name basis now. "I...know this sounds crazy, but I think we need to push deeper. I mean, that had to clear out most of those creatures but, I think we need to go deeper into the planet. The Force here, it's telling us something. I don't know what, but it is here, and it's loud." She suggested, smiling as in-spite of how much this bothered her, the questions that bubbled in her mind were something she had missed.

She gave a nod as she was sitting ther ein the chair... attention on the scaanners but also on the twi'lek as she offered a smile. "I agree... though we shouldn't go in ill prepared" She said it and brought up a screen sending off a message and alert for their location... make it so others could find them should they not report in. Wu was looking at more of it and she had her equipment replacing what she had used as well as getting a few more things... They would be better able to climb with newer climbing axes but there was also the lights they needed for exploring down below the surface. "We can take it slow but there are some barriers we can set up for traps.. they use saber technologies to create a grid that slices most things that charge into it."

It seemed the pair were in agreement on one thing, they needed to be better prepared, and let someone know where they were. Listening intently to what was said, she was in agreement with the woman certainly. Thankfully they had come fully prepared for this sort of mission. "Agreed, glad we brought your ship, mines not spec'd at all for this sort of work." Now they were starting to getting into what she had always wanted. A full on exploring job, all on their own. Seemed they would be staying here for a while then. She expected she'd get to know the Jedi Master rather well before their little venture was done.

"Hey, Wu, since we're gonna have to spend some time setting up and preparing, mind telling me a bit about you? I'll go next, or first, I mean if you'd like." She shrugged, pressing a few buttons as she warmed up the droids they had on board. Mi'la brought up a map of the area, and began to carve up a grid so they could start the work.

Mi'la Undari Mi'la Undari

She looked at her and shrugged.... curious. "I am a Jin from Tiantang, we only within the last decade joined the galaxy but I was among the first making first contact with the jedi and the Republic. When my sister returned to our homeworld I stayed and joined the jedi order becoming a chef in the temple. Then a master and trained really only a couple of padawans... Sky'ito Yumi Sky'ito Yumi and her little sister Akari. Their mother is a mercenary and half Jin." She said it all and had her equipment ready for anything that they would be able to do down there. She had one of the lights on her hip and it was made for dark caves as well as activating two of the makie droids... the little things great for scouting and being able to roam around.
