I can fight you, provided you'd be interested in a 2v2 with [member="Aralu Sar"] and whoever comes with you.

I was asked to give a brief summary of how the orbalisk shuttles work.

Step 1 - latches onto hull
Step 2 - freezes hull with cryoban gas
Step 3 - cuts through hull with plasma torches.
Step 4 - creates airlock.

In between steps 3 and 4 atmosphere might escape for a few seconds. It would not be explosive decompression as far as I know, but some of our local PhDs are free to correct me on that.

Carry on.

For those of you waiting for my response at Hoth, I'm sorry, but it'll be going up tomorrow. There's a lot to read through, and I want to make sure everything that's been posted is accounted for. Sadly there isn't enough time in the day between work and this lovely place. ;-; (Thanks for being so patient.)

For those parties interested, my story on Hoth is directly involved with [member="Torian Pierce"] . All of the units in the mercenary contingent who touched down with him should be considered neutral parties and their fate moving forward will be left to whatever happens during the thread.

As obvious in the thread, they are firing on First Order fortifications, but will in no other way directly aid the Alliance. They're just doing a job.

Wrynn's overall involvement will ultimately benefit the First Order.

"They have to realize they're in a trap by now." Commander Dellos said as much to himself as to the junior officer. "There's no new activity from them? No active scanning, no formation shifting, no coming about... Nothing?"

Just wanted to give you a heads up, Alexandra has been actively scanning with her non stealthed ships since the first post.

Order Given:

Alexandra Morrow said:
"Have all weapons crews lock in, I want active scans the moment we are clear of the cronau wash.

Order to continue watching scans:

Alexandra Morrow said:
"We'll have to take care of it after the battle...keep an eye on sensors..."

Just wanted to let you know, as your post states that there aren't any active scans going on from the Alliance fleet.

[member="Alexandra Morrow"]

huh... I guess I did miss that.

*Does some rummaging*

Let's see... Full-spectrum sensor array and HSI on the ship, plus the towed array... Towed array hasn't been deployed yet, so... Outside of keeping an eye out for Hyperdrive signatures, you're really working with civilian grade sensors.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Full-spectrum_transceiver

Or... that's the closest canon source material I can find for "full spectrum sensor array"...

We can either leave the post as-is and chock it up to the Maalraas Nobilis mistaking the low-fidelity sensors for passive scans or... If you like I can edit in a comment from the sensor officer to that effect.

On an OOC note, you guys didn't really bring any dedicated sensor boats with you (other than the un-deployed towed array). I think Cathul's got it the worst. Her ships don't mention sensors once, which means she's got basic/standard sensors... But all her ships utilize a fancy tactical display that requires "high-performance sensor suites" to work properly. Sooo.... Cathul's got herself about 20 HDTVs hooked up to a dial-up modem. :p

Yeah. I love your ship design btw. I was sad to see you jump straight into combat in your opening post. I was really hoping you'd come in at long range, spend the hour or so deploying the sensor net, then coast in as the coolest kid on the nebula block. I would have had my hands full playing cat and mouse with you!

To be fair, considering as several GA writers can attest my Hoth opener caused me a miniature panic attack the night before the invasion, invasion set up posts can be hard to write. You never know how much is too much or too little.

I was a slow potato and sorry for the wait :c I am a potato...

I may not get to post this evening. [member="Pharazon Draken"] feel free to NPC Des following and establishing a location in the trenches with your squad if you beat me to posting. [member="Brennan Cabrol"] Feel free to post ahead of me and get you and Ara to the plant. Thanks for your patience everyone! ((I am never teaching 4 classes over the summer again))
