OOC - Woe to the Vanquished

[member="sabrina"] are you actually in your frigate? It doesn't seem like it. Your sentence about having your men run to your sheep hardly seems like something important among the multitude of other posts, including your own.

It doesn't really matter Isaac. Domino just said she basically plans to ignore anything that hurts her people significantly because that is how its planned in her mind. Lol so essentially even though this is just a prison and not some high tech military base or facility, we can't hack their systems, jamming their coms.... Really nothing if it harms their position greatly.

And domino. Really? Me complaining. You have basically complained about every action my character has done so far. I have merely defended it. I haven't complained about any of the massive defenses you posted having.

And as for your turrets being manned. Lol they don't physically control where the turrets are aiming. They would be moving around a joy stick in simplistic terms. And since they have sensors, they can be hacked. Considering you don't have any slicers here acting to counter my actions. Its not a stretch at all. Give me a break, and take a hit. You may have a fleet coming...whenever they do. But they aren't here yet. Currently you are massively outgunned. You can't expect us to believe despite our huge current advantage that we can't inflict losses.

As for the jamming thing. It works even with basic systems. I was merely giving you the example of what I had. And again. This is a prison not some high tech military base. How do you expect us to get the prisoners out if you basically wave your hand and say none of our actions affect you?

Didn't see the latest post till now. Like I said before. I wasn't complaining about the prison defenses, or asking you to change them. I had thought they were over the top. However, I like how you explained it. Kudos.

[member="Ice"] it was planned between myself and your faction leader over skype, it was also planned that this was to be a slow start to give us time to interrogate your people IC, yall jumped the gun on that and now I'm not feeling so nice. All I've complained about is your spontaneous jamming and hacking of guns that should not be hackable. Nobody hooks up their defense guns to wi-fi. So unless you can make one of our guns suddenly have a sensor profile matching one of your ships and nobody hit an override, I doubt it's possible to hack through sensors like you claim are a vulnerability.

You're the only one that's voiced a problem with what I've done and multiple people have complained about how your handling things. I don't think I'm the problem here.

We are taking losses, you're just attacking a fortified position with advanced planning to inflict maximum losses before falling. Your own FL has admitted that a frontal assault would mount casualties before the thread started. I made sure that he was intending this to be his stratagy. Please note that I'm also not auto-hitting or saying what losses your guys are taking. I'm simply saying who my guys are targeting and shooting at.

Let's just agree that the Ravens have the upper hand through surprise and number but it will be a meat grinder due to the entrenched positions and and fortress defenses of the Black Sun contingent. No need for people to lose their cool, just play it out and things will be okay.

Agreed. No special tactics. Nothing fun and interesting. We'll just caveman this and blast them into submission....eventually after we lose most of our resources... -sighs-

[member="Domino"]

We were not informed of these previously agreed to losses and traps when our group signed on. Last i was told, we had been given free reign to lay waste to the area. This is what I was told by the powers that be. So I apologize for the misunderstanding. And for a third time. I didn't have a problem with what you were doing outside of ignoring my post on jamming comms. And yes, I'm sure everyone who had their comms cut have complained. Despite the source material, canon examples. And your retorts being nothing more than guess work and possibility with nothing to back them up.

With that said. I yield the point. I'll edit my posts to show nothing works and we are now sustaining huge losses for small gains.

I'd love a compromise. But apparently, there were preagreed terms that we were not privy to. So we now have to take it up the tailpipe unfortunately. -shrugs-

[member="Isaac Ideus"] lots of things, to be honest.

Also I am still waiting for edits, on ignoring my frigate. As well as ignoring my men, who should got to the prisoner before your people did.

[member="Colap Ticon"] also I have my men with you, with disruptor carbines.

To be honest youth, perhaps the problem isn't people ignoring you... perhaps the problem is how you roleplay. It seems nobody noticed you or your frigate, or at least nobody decided to confront you-- but it doesn't mean they were ignoring you. Anyway, how did you magically find yourself on this distant, God-forsaken rock in the first place?

Let's act like adults people.

I am sorry that the ooc agreements about this thread that were made to prevent this type of situation from arising were not made known to you, I assumed that all relevant information had been made available by the instigating faction leader when he hired people. Regardless, we are both having to deal with the situation now and it's understandable that tempers are running a little hot. However, I am not altering from the agreed-upon plan simply because people want to power through and crush defenses in a post or two.

You will win, it will not be pretty for either side. Our Kessel/Maw fleet is coming to prevent loss of the planet. It is big, it is mean, it was created to halt a CIS or Republic invasion force until help arrived.

Only reason this thread is happening is because the Ravens asked for it rather than having their guys released which is what I originally suggested. I'm simply trying to make it reasonably profitable for my side since so far the RR have done nothing but attack, it's time for my side to get a blow in (however small).
