looks like you plan for a Nagatina type polearm.
and beskar is usable in small ammounts.

Well, I suppose all I can do now is hope that any mistakes I've made have been minor :D

Indeed. Naginata or Yari was definitively the route I was going for, if not a stylistic mix between that and traditional HEMA weaponry, such as the Ahlspiess or the Halberd.

Nice been wanting to do HEMA. Been doing sports fencing though and they have a rapier section once you've proven to be safe with saber and epee. It's pretty historic but focuses more on the sports side of it.

Yeah, I hear you. I tried to get into fencing, but... well, the rapier just isnt my jive.

HEMA is all good though. It's nice to be able to see the techniques that survived throughout history, and theorise about what they might have been before then. I in particular find an interest in the application of the spear and shield in Danish warfare. You can see some of the possible techniques in Norman spear play, but no hint as to where they originated or what they might have been

I'd have to disagree with you there. My experiencing with how such things play out here isn't much, but shorting out the blade that strikes the spear would defeat the purpose I think: especially if the opponent is skilled enough to use that short against me, a risk I wouldn't want to take. I would have even opted not to do the beskar if I wasn't concerned about someone chopping the spear in half while I'm trying to keep them at bay.

I'm actually finding the weightiness Beskar to be quite appealing. It would allow for me to mimic traditional fighting techniques that would require such weight (bashing with the pommel, as I suppose is the appropriate term for a lightsaber-esque weapon).

But I appreciate your advice. Truly. I apologise if I'm coming off as difficult.

And I'd be glad to buy it off you.

Also considering that if I wanted a sauroter it would have to be another beam of deadly light... yeah, the beskar is appealing. Having a sauroter would, I think, limit the range of motion, which is a no-no for me. I would need as much range of motion as possible
