Raining Cats and Dogs

Vulpesen yanwed and stretched as he walked across the surface of onderon. Since leaving Veradune, he had made his way through numerous planets, helping who he could and learning about some of the things he had missed. Though, now it seemed that everywhere he went, the glances he garnered were the same. Puzzled looks to the glowing eyes, shimering coat, and single pointed ear in conjunction to the hole on the otherside of his head. Of course, with such a wide and weird galaxy, such looks were only truly earned by his true puzzlement as to what the galaxy had been through in the past two years. Deciding to take a break from the puzzlement, he now walked out of Iziz city towards the jungle that now stretch out between him.

As his boots trod through the grass in the intermediate zone, his ear flicked at an odd sound from above, causing him to look up to what couldn't be a pleasent ride. A single ship seemed to be heading for the ground, and by its path he could tell it wasn't entirely intentional. "Well, the force wills what it wills." Dropping down, he allowed his legs to pop into their secondary joints before taking off, heading to where he felt the ship would likely land.

"Kriff!" Kheera shouted out as the cockpit of her small-sized Consular-class cruiser blinked red. Her pink dyed ears were flattened on her head as the piercing alarm screamed over her voice. Despite knowing her attempts were hopeless, she continued pressing countless of buttons and smacked all the levers she could find with her paws, but nothing helped. The grounds of Onderon came closer as the flames licked the outer shell of her ship. In a final attempt, the Cathar swung her claws around the steering wheel to try and pull the cruiser's tip up. The fur underneath her skin began to hue red as groans escaped her lips while the ship slowly began to change axis. Yet it was too late as trees and plants began to scratch against the metal and block out the sun that once shined brightly through the many windows. Before she could brace herself for the impact, her body swung against the buckle, causing the air to escape her lungs.

The red ship pierced through the horizon and within seconds it crashed within a denser forest, leaving behind a loud blast. A thick cloud of black smoke quickly began to raise from the cruiser, smogging the area around and above the treetops. Small embers danced like lovers over the grass and mud, trying to find anything to light up. Animals that belonged to the forest scattered away to safety, not daring to stay at the crash field any longer.

The zorren continued to sprint, following the nosediving ship, as well as the eventual crash of steel against earth, a noise so loud he couldn't help but flinch. Seems someone screwed up. They'll be lucky to walk out of that mess. Despite the morbid thoughts, he continued on, majing his way through the jungle and past the various wldlife that was dashing around him. Before too long, he found himself at the edge of the crash, looking down ont he smoldering remains of a consular class cruiser. "Great... A jedi." Years in the republic made him more than familiar with their ships, but given this one's size, it seemed to be downgraded for a more personal use. "Oi, anyone out there!?" His voice barked out above the fires and billowing smoke while his mind stretched itself over the area, searching for life through the force.

For a moment there was nothing but darkness. Not a single spike of pain, not a single stroke of light. Yet this beautiful nothing was disturbed by the ear deafening silence and humming that came from within her ears. Once the humming filled her head, the pain and blurry vision followed. Slowly Kheera placed her hand onto her bleeding sleep while moving herself forwards, out of the straps of the pilot chair. Her other hand collapsed onto her forehead as she leaned forwards towards her own knees. Force sake... This has to be my greatest crash yet. She thought while moving her muscles carefully, trying to see if she still has all of her limbs. I can feel my toes... Knees... arms... My head is definitely there. The Cathar grid her teeth together after another wave of pain rushed through her head.

"Oi, anyone out there!?" Was that... A voice? Kheera closed her eyes for a moment before shouting back as loud as she could, yet the sound she produced was very weak and scratchy. "Anyone?! I ... am here!" She swung her right hand onto her throat. Okay, my vocal cord might be damaged. She thought while slowly getting herself onto her feet. She had to get out of the ship and find the strange voice.

Vulpesen's hand extended as he looked over the wreckage. A voice whimpered above the sound of creaking metal and his ear flicked out to catch it. "Good, you aren't dead." The force billowed out as a gust of wind, removing some of the obscuring smoke for Vulpesen to catch sight of the beat up cathar. His hand lifted up, causing some of the wreckage to float away, giving [member="Kheera Reach"] some room to move. "Which might actually be a miracle. how the hell did you screw up this badly?"

Kheera's pink dyed ears darted up, hearing the man's voice far in the background behind the hums. But it was clear enough for her to understand him, partly. She closed her eyes, sensing the usage of the Force followed by a raw of sunbeams showering through the fire clouds as the wreckage moved out of the wear. Kheera didn't hesitate for a moment and clawed her way out of the cockpit which wasn't the easiest with her headache. Clumsy her body fell over one of the torn sides of the walls, forcing her to slide down over the metal until she hit the dirt. The Cathar remained there for a moment until she suddenly yet unsteadily moved onto her feet.

"Ah, erhm... well..." She spoke to him with trouble. "You see... I... might've.. maybe.... fallen... asleep... and... didn't hear the first alarms..." Kheera painfully reached for her throat before looking towards the man. Her eyes thinned as her head tilted to the side, trying figure out who he was and how he looked like. Her vision was still too blurry to capture details, yet from the main shapes she was very certain that yes, he was indeed a male. "I ... Thank you!"

Vulpesen's brow arched highly as she squeaked out her excuse. "You... fell asleep? You somehow fell asleep, and didn't notice the blaring alarms, telling you that you were on a collision course with a multi-million kilometer mass of earth and water. A collision, which could have very easily blasted you into fiery Oblivion." He started to pop and crack his fingers, "Thats actually rather impressive. Invest in caf." Stepping forward, he reached out a hand to help move her from the smoldering crater.

Kheera cracked a smile towards the stranger before squeaking back a response."I... am known to... be... the worst... flyer..." She rolled her shoulders with a groan, feeling her muscles protest. "They... should remove... my license." She wasn't sure herself how she managed to remain asleep through the beeping noises, or how she fell asleep, to begin with. All she could remember was setting her hyperjump towards the Japreal System. A moment later she was awoken by deafening alarms, screaming into her ears. And while she had many crashes before, it never turned into such a fire hazard before.

Thankfully the Cathar took the man's hand and began to climb her way out of the smoldering crater. Come on legs, just a few more steps... Her ears lowered onto her hair, ignoring the stabs of pain. Once the two made it out of the smoldering crater, Kheera looked around at the forest they were located in. It was quite beautiful, despite some trees looking very miserable from the crash. Some of the creatures slowly peeked through the bushes, looking at the two beings and the crater behind them. Kheera's eyes eventually rested upon the stranger before she took a small bow, something she was taught to do by the Jedi. "My... name is... Kheera Reach. Thank you... Again!"

Vulpesen nodded slowly to her statements and started to wander around the ship-made clearing. Calling on the force, he started to douse the flames however he could, also making sure to consolidate the wreckage. He turned to face her once more after moving a twisted piece of engine back towards the main body of the ship. Seeing the bow, brought back a spark of a memory and made him smirk a bit. "Vulpesen Torrevaso, you're quite welcome." He made his way over to the Cathar, his tail flicking a bit. "I suppose Jedi piloting lessons must have gotten a bit lax since I left."
