Invasion Rains of Contruumere [One Sith vs GR Invasion of Contruum]

Objective: A the killing fields (aka ruin Jedi Grandmaster's Day)
Location: The Killing fields
Allies:
Enemies: [member="Corvus Raaf"]

Vengeance shook his head.

"Sith only have one color always have and always will." "I think we both know that."

He chuckled at Corvus.

"You and I both know that surrender is not an option.............probably for the same reason." "I have no desire to fight you but I will not step aside for some fool Acolyte to get themselves killed trying to chase the glory of taking out the Jedi Grand Master herself." "Acolytes are stupid that way........even I was back then."

He watched her with a smile. A stalemate of will it is then. She didn't want to make the first move. What was it he had always tried to teach Vaulkhar. Feel out your opponent and test their defenses.

Vengeance held his saber in his left hand. He slid his back food forward to meet his front foot just has he thrust out with his saber about stomach high on Corvus. He then rotated his wrist slashing left to right bending at the elbow following through Vengeance slashed back right to left. He would then rotate again slash vertically coming from underneath slashing up at the last second rotating his arm and slashing back down vertically to center. All in the well practiced motion of a duelist. His demeanor clam and reserved ever a man in control. Face it he was probably the worst Sith ever.

Location: Killing Fields, gonna get this Jai Maleling and capture him for a breeding mate
Allies: One Sith
Enemies: [member="Aston Jacobs"][/color]

The Nightsister saw the Jai barely through the haze of her tempest spell. Bright crimson eyes upon that painted visage would narrow. He disappeared from her vision, like a ghost in the shadows. Boulders, debris, leaves. All of it would bring a haze to vision, obscuring it.

"Waytha ara quetha way. Waytha ara quetha way!"

Her chant would roar over the howl of the winds, furious as her lust to dominate the maleling Jai. He would be mine! MINE! Her greed and crawling desire for the powerful maleling would not be denied.

Whispers of the ancients would call at her ears. An ethereal wailing of banshee screams in warning. A strong arm would suddenly jut forward and up. A large boulder soon would come to her grip, held right above her as the tempest spell was released and went wild.

There was no controlling it now. He and she were now caught within the eye of their personal tempest. The blast would shove down forcefully, far more powerful than a mere padawan could handle. Ah, but there was a reason for that.

Aston Jacobs was twin to another. Birthed of the Force.

The wall of energy blasted down at her, but would be caught in the bulk by the boulder she had used for cover, shattering in half and raining debris upon her At the same time, the Nightsister would then shove the boulder back, hoping to catch the Jai as he came down and smack him with the same halves and pummeling him with them to hopefully bring him down.

Grid 33
The fister at the ridge radioed the success of volleys on their targets, as two enemy emplacements were destroyed however, their attention was now drawn to the south, the southernmost Republic arty batteries were looking to acquire range and targets past the mountain peaks. The Master Gunner had Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta moving before the commands could even leave Gulliver's lips, a wry smile on his face.

Five minutes had more than passed for Sinistra's briefing and now the Tannhauser and Lohengrin were joined by 30 each of Phaedra and Croesus anti-air guns to pin the Repub ships in the garrison down. The drop ship stayed as low as it could behind the peak of the bowl shaped mountain that hugged the backside of the garrison. The Phaedra were designed for heavily armored bombing ships, and the flak guns were sounding their resolve into the darkened skies over the battlefield along with Echo battery.

There were so many ships overhead, Sinistra began to wonder how the Republic forces weren't running into each and colliding as they skirted mountaintops and strafed the narrow valley. It was time to thin the herd. Once the Phaedra and Croesus had achieved ready status they were given the same "FIRE MISSION" command and they opened up on [member="Lash"], taking aim for the fighters in the crowded airspace that were going after the Mandalorian assets around the garrison base. The Croesus blazed red, 2,000 bolts a minute flying down on the enemy ships, harassing them to vacate the airspace or be destroyed.

She and Gulliver were watching the map now, the FO's from the northern command feeding their information to Sinistra and allowing her a better view of the engaged forces. Adekos reported sniper fire had chased him off the road. That would need to be dealt with, but it looked like whoever was in orbit was paying just as close attention to the battlefield movements as Sinistra because an additional group of dropships radioed their approach to drop assets for use in grid 14.

Sinistra looked at the movement's of Bane's armies and shook her head.

"Governor Bane, I see you have learned nothing since Taloraan. Pity, I think I shall have to attend to you personally and unlike your rapport with Ms. Arceneau, you will not find me so accommodating of your failures."

Grid 29
As the AT-AW creeped northward, a group of fighters broke through the clouds to fire down on the walkers. The enemy pilots would see the blooms of AA fire sitting just behind the walkers. Half the Phaedra and Croesus crews (15 each) were given orders to fire at will on incoming aircraft, and if [member="One-Eyed Jack Varren"] wanted to have a go with the OS, he was certainly in for it. The Phaedra's flak guns fast tracked the K-wings and opened fire while the Croesus spit red bolts through rapid-fire laser cannons.

If he wanted her walkers, he was gonna have to dodge hell first. Not only were the OS forces targeting him from in front, but the garrison base was starting to shell southward, with continuous barrages of heavy fire. Forward troops were taking fire and scattering the best they could at the wide wash south of the lake.

Meanwhile the Lohengrin and Tannhauser were shifted to begin assaulting TG0004 in grid 22 and TG0003 in grid 24. Once they were on target, their heavy fire continued on, the mountains echoing the thunder of the cannons in a storm of fiery death.

Grid 14
The western approach was eerily quiet of activity as the OS dropships were in and out, depositing their payload and keeping low to the ground until they could clear the peaks of the valley and hightail it back to the volatile orbit. However, that was perfectly fine for Sinistra as Kilo, Lima, Mike, November and Oscar joined the fray. The Tannhauser and Lohengrin were given TG0009 and TG0010 as soon as they were able to begin fire. The eyes from the northern base camp were more than helpful in marking their targets and with solutions in place, HE shells started to pelt enemy lines.

The combined Phaedra and Croesus anti-aircraft guns were equally welcomed to the battlefield as half their numbers (15 each) were tasked with pining down the hangar on the garrison base while the remaining fast tracking guns began to target the artillery shells fired by the garrison, aiming to shoot them out of the air before they could hit the OS forces pushing down from the south.

Grid 3
Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel, India and Juliett were a welcome sight as the dropships skirted the perimeter of the engagement zone to unload and then beat a hasty retreat back away from the southern edge of grid 3.
The small peak offered them just enough cover and plenty of wide open space for artillery to have a good position to return fire on whoever was harassing Bane's forces. The Tannhauser and Lohengrin targeted TG0008 to support the efforts of the troops in the valley.

Meanwhile, all 60 Phaedra and Croesus anti-aircraft guns fast-tracked and opened fire on [member="Taneas Haring"]'s freighters which seemed far too many in the skies for such a narrow airspace.

All told with all the AA guns, artillery and walkers on the ground, firing up into the air, it's a wonder a moth could fly past a lightbulb without being immediately targeted by weapons fire and burnt to ash. Meanwhile the Sith had begun to ring the edges of the engagement zone with heavy weaponry. The pressure would either turn the Republic to ash or diamonds, but either way something was burning.

Summary:
  • Sin's arty at 33 are targeting D
  • Sin's AA at 33 are targeting the hangar on her side of the garrison face and [member="Lash"]'s fighters.
  • Baelor's arty at 35 are targeting H & D
  • Baelor's AA guns are attempting to repel [member="One-Eyed Jack Varren"]
  • Sin's arty at 14 are targeting A
  • Sin's AA at 14 are targeting arty fire from A and the hangar on the garrison
  • Sin's arty at 3 are targeting A and J.
  • Sin'a AA at 3 are targeting [member="Taneas Haring"]'s frieghters

His lightning strike had some degree of effect against Siobhan, but her shield held rather well under his unrelenting assault. And then she suddenly dispelled her shield, the lightning now thoroughly rebounding across her beskar plates, no doubt fusing the inside lining of the armor to her battle-worn skin. Then came the crushing pressure in his chest, and memories of Wayland flooded back into his depraved mind. He grunted in annoyance more than pain as she began to compress his lung, and momentarily cut off his lightning assault upon her person. Instead he began to weave intricate lines through the empty air in front of him with his fingers, his hands performing complex gestures as the Dark Side welled up within him to fill the atmosphere with the overwhelming, oily feeling of dread and despair. He opened his mouth, his lips cracking even more with the effort, and uttered a blasphemous arcane word that no doubt Siobhan would remember fondly.

"̵̥̺̓̊K̴̠͉̝̖̮̬̈́̎ͪ̑́I͚͗͟R̶̯̳̺̬ͧͯ͊͗͞Ḁ̭͈̻̖̥̒̅̆͌ͪ͠Ż̢̘͉̬̭̑̀͋́͝Ḯ̗̯̜͎̲̒ͨ̋̎̽̕!̵̵̳̘̥͗̈̍ͭ̐ͭ̂ͮ̕"͕̪̞̜̳̫̯̟͒ͤ̀̀̋̏ͬͣ͛͠

The air shimmered vividly before him, and from that shimmering mass billowed forth plumes of thick greenish smoke that quickly plummeted to the ground in great heaves until the ground could no longer be seen wherever the mass of smoke wandered. Then the fog shimmered as Vornskr exerted his dark will upon it, and it began to slither and morph into thick tendrils that assumed a snake-like personality, and with a silent command those tendrils of consuming energy began to move onto Siobhan. The tendrils swam almost gracefully through the air, but life withered wherever they moved and the ground turned black and whatever plants had survived their initial skirmish were sucked of all life and collapsed into black ash.

He would weather the crushing of another lung, which happened moments after he had unleashed his monstrous spell upon Siobhan. Blood welled up in his throat, a good deal of it leaking past his lips and down his chin to stain his armor and the ground black. His body was artificial and had been further altered by his dealings with the Dark Side besides just the outward appearance of decrepitness and corruption, for his blood had turned the darkest shade of black and oozed out like a foul pestilence. His eyes only blazed brightly and more angrily as the battle waged on, his will totally set on subjugating (and eventually destroying) Siobhan's entire existence.

Blane listened carefuly to what Mythos said, his words were like knives, making his anger to grow every second he could only laugh in the end... "What makes you think there is something I love?... Your kind took everything I ever loved." It wasn't a laugh of amusement, it was because of the irony. But he stood silent for a time.. he couldn't help but remember... The lake.. the beautiful lake.. where he was meeting every time with a single person, the one he loved, he closed his eyes remembering that moment... it was all he could do... just a second and it almost calmed his rage completely...

Blane smiled with nostalgy still under the cover of some metal debris "That was a mistake... He thought it's revenge he gained... that... I would let them take him to jail... So that his men could get him out but I will tell you what I told him... Monsters do not go to jail, monsters get killed." With that, Blane reloaded his AR-47 and checked his wound, he was preparing himself for another attack, his knife and grenades were also ready for whathever he wanted to do with them. "And now.. you come here like an angry puppy warning to bite, when there is nothing left to bite. None of these will ever scare me for there is nothing I can loose anymore. I will hunt you sith.. all of you from this day until my last, every time you will hurt an innocent, every time you will raise your fist against justice. And when I will be surrounded and disarmed I will still be able to defy you... but it won't be over... the worlds you've burned... the billions you've killed... demands justice! My death will only ignite courage within all those who still fight for freedome, they will all rise against you, there will forever be a Blane Nightfall to hunt you in every corner of the world!" He took a deep breath and waited patiently with his left hand on another grenade.

Turn on the Uplinks.” I said over the comm-link. Hearing the triumphant roar from the Titans as they heard it over the open channel. The triangulated holobeacons turned on, emitting their beacons up to the heavens at the ships waiting in orbit. The enemy had choked the skies with frieghters and Starfighters and had not gone unnoticed. The cavalry would need escorts to deal with such, and it had been prepared. Still my will pressed against the wills of those Republic soldiers within the mountain we were preparing to storm.

The peak of the mountain had been heavily secured with the subterranean levels being sealed against incursion. But they would not keep out the coming storm. Not now, not ever. Mandalore killed were it wished, regardless of obstacle.

Aboard the Mythosaur in orbit, a lone Mandalorian warrior gripped his lightsaber in a chamber. He longed to be on the ground with his master, fighting the enemy where they lived. But that was not his charge. Drahr’buir had ordered him to coordinate the forces in space and deliver them as needed to the ground. With klaxons blarring green the triangulators had been lit to attract the coming drop pods.

Gorran. Take your warriors to the surface. Drahr’buir has called you at last.

The massive beskar armored wookiee roared in response, the sounds of hundreds of Mandalorians joining his own voice. They clambered into drop pods and mole miners ready to storm the mountain like a great flood. Seconds ticked away as they began dropping, a hundred lights screaming towards the surface. Aten watched them as the cargo hold emptied as the Mandalorians left for the planet. Perhaps next time the Akaan’Drahr’alor would join his brothers in battle as he had done countless times before, but for now he was stuck in orbit.

The Titans held hallways, and did their best to cover the landing grounds where the Drop Pods and Mole Miners would be hitting the mountain. Once they landed the Mole Miners would start drilling as deep as they could and the Mandalorians would storm the tunnels they created.

Once they hit, Titans to the holes. We go level by level as deep as we can. When the Sith get here they will follow, but until then, just Titans will hold the entrances. We can’t have the Republic trying to inhabit ground we have already cleared.

OYA!” Came the response of the Titans, their blaster cannons blazing out across the open space where the landing would begin, hoping to clear out any soldiers trying to put a stop to the Titans. Mandalore would keep its word here. The One Sith had paid very well to ensure victory, and they would get their conditions met. That was the way of Mandalore.

Like meteors the first drop pods and mole miners smashed into the mountain just below the peak. Dozens had been caught in the AA fire and followed by enemy aircraft, but many more hit the mountain in the storm. A full half the Drop pods had been filled with ammunition for the beleaguered Aliit’Drahr and Titans that had been deployed earlier to take the beachhead, but now the cavalry was here, and they were taking the fight to the enemy. The mole miners, fully capable of drilling through starship armor in short order burrowed quickly into the mountain side, angling towards the base of the mountain. Half of the miners stopped after gaining entry to provide fresh holes in the mountain for the advancing Mandalorians as they stormed the garrison, and also to be protected by them so that they could not all be destroyed or disabled before their task was complete. Their complements held within still, a surprise for later.

The drop pods smashed into the mountain, bursting open and deploying their deadly payload of beskar and flesh, howling and sprinting for the holes that had been made by the mole miners, Titans rushing from their positions to take up positions in the shafts the Mole Miners had created. Had the opposition not collapsed the main tunnels, the Titans had intended to hold the enemy there to be taken from the rear, but that route had been closed to us.

The massive wookiee in beskar was the first into the hole, his Dinu’ul shimmering as the Force Sensitive wookiee tore into the base like an animal. Mandalorians followed him in, their Shields strapped to their arms as they stormed the first level like a tide. No doubt the defenders were prepared for a full frontal assault, but perhaps they would be surprised by having some of their forces circumvented by the mining shafts being drilled into their mountain.

Gorran. As commanded. Level by Level. Leave none alive. I have another mission to see to. Beskad group, with me.” I dropped into the mining shaft, following the mole miners down as they drilled ever deeper into the Garrison.

The Mandalorians met stiff resistance in the first level, the Republic Forces having been amassed there to repel the titans prior to the Mandalorian arrival, however the Mandalorians had arrived in force. Working in their units, half would form a shield wall while the other half fired high powered charrics and slugthrowers into the enemy. They made heavy use of EMP Grenades to disable enemy weapons and defense when they clustered, and wrist rockets would follow these. Once the shield wall got close enough, acid throwers were used by the shield wall to decimate their opposition. YVH Probes provided fire support as the Mandalorians advanced throughout the first level of the garrison. The enemy made use of anti-tank weapons where and when they could, trying to level the playing field, sending several mandalorians into the Manda with each use, but it was not as though the Aliit’Drahr did not use such weapons as well.

The groups pulling up behind cleared rooms by blasting them open, dropping for anti-personnel grenades in, and then sweeping the room. Moving in groups of eight one team secured the door, while the other four swept the rooms they were engaging. Most of the Republic Soldiers were working on slowing the advance of the Mandalorians rather than hiding in rooms the Aliit’Drahr were sealing behind them. Their commander, having once used ArmaTech equipment should know that the sensors built into the helmets could detect troops hiding so nearby. Those that did hide, had a fire team’s weapons waiting for them. This would not be easy for the Mandalorian Forces, but glory was never easily gained.

Outside the Garrison the Mythosaurs got bombed and one of them died. The other two fired their missiles at the remained enemy Mythosaurs and continued advancing on them.

In the forests, the Mandalorians led by the Barabel Drahr’alor turned their attention elsewhere. This was a loosing battle and their task had been completed. The Imperial Forces were injured and had their attention had been held away from securing the Garrison. Now it was time to help their brothers once more. “Fall back to the garrison. Medical supplies and ammunition await. Our brothers and sisters need our aid in the garrison.”

Almost with a whimper what forces remained withdrew, using Jump Packs to gain distance between their opposition as quickly as they could, leaving the Imperials to fight the Chiss forces. The bloody stalemate had been costly, but the Drahr’buir’s plans had worked. So much had left the mount to keep the One Sith from getting to it, that it wasn’t as heavily guarded as perhaps it should have been. Once in the forests, descending to the base of the garrison mountain the Imperials would have trouble detecting and engaging the Mandalorians as their armor provided them a degree of stealth allowing them to find some peace in the forests as they moved to bring their arms to assist their brothers in storming the Garrison.

Through the trees, Adekos and his scouts continued to move. Occasionally they would hear the crack of the sniper rifle, but the closest they came to hitting them was to graze their speederbikes. These few, these merry band of heroes continued on unabated. Two more of his biker scouts peeled off at random intervals and into the woods to survey the road, though that was going to prove to be unnecessary in the coming moments. The buzzing in Adekos' comlink indicated that some reinforcements had been deposited along that stretch of ground. Considering there were snipers up in the nearby mountains, Adekos found that to be a rather poor idea, but he supposed if it drew away their fire, he couldn't complain.

This was swiftly becoming an unnecessary scouting mission. The probe droids failed to report any hidden, amassed Republic forces anywhere. There would be no surprises.

Adekos braked, allowing the scout troopers to shoot ahead of him towards the final destination. "Continue to the pass. I will rendezvous with the rest of our force. Keep me appraised of any developments."

If there were any fortifications placed by the Republic, any traps to speak of, they would have been sighted by now. Since there were none, the main affair could swiftly begin. Adekos turned himself around and began to make his way back to the landing zone.

Corvus returned the smile. “Don’t pretend you don’t know of plenty of Sith that turned to the Light-side. But I accept your decision not to surrender. Respect it even. You are truly a man of honour.”

“And the option to withdraw is an open one. At any time, you may walk away from this battlefield unmolested. You have my word.”

He moved his feet and at that moment the Force told her it was time to act. His first effort was aimed at her stomach. Her hand moved instinctively to the right position and her saber slapped into the plan of her hand as it was moving. A snap-hiss and violet light indicated it had been activated as she parried the opening blow in the inner circle. The riskiest defence yet one that offered an immediate counter option — especially as he went for a combination move. Text-book stuff. Padawan level. She tsked as she dealt with the blow.

For this was Corvus. She would bide her time and not take the easy opening. She was the eye of the storm. The ultimate in defence, waiting to wear him down. To learn his preferences, weaknesses and wait for tiredness or a mistake to capitalise on.

So as his blows continued, so her blade moved faster and faster, allowing her to become a shield and minimise her own efforts. She invariably parried and never blocked.

And her smile remained throughout. “Good, good,” she offered — as if schooling a Youngling. “A nice opening combination but your initial blow was risky. I’ll explain later. For now? Show me what else you have to offer.”

Her bladework was entirely dictated by the Force. There was no conscious effort. There didn’t need to be. She trusted the Force…implicitly. It had yet to let her down.

Vengeance chuckled.

"Only if the initial blow was actually an attack." "Then yes risky for many reasons." "A wise person knows better than to try and defeat a superior opponent in a single blow, a single attack even if it is a combination." "A duel is Sabbac not Pazaak is it not."

He smiled holding his stance.

"No by all means Grand Master if you have a thought then let it be heard."

He was intrigued by the thought of another point of view. Even if it did come from somebody who was supposed to be his enemy. He was a successful duelist by Sith standards but by no means a perfect one. He knew from her tone she was speaking down to him but much like he had taught Vaulkhar he would not be baited to anger and lash out. He would keep his mind sharp and his emotions controlled. A battle of wits just as much as a battle of blade and force.

Nubica was aware that her Master had joined the fray. She shot him a quick and definitive stare. It said back off. If [member="Varus Shatterstar"] knew what was good for him, he’d pay attention to that look. He was in more danger than the One Sith if he didn’t follow her very clear instruction.

This was a one on one duel. She’d live or die on the strength of her own abilities — not due to any outside assistance.

Fortunately the glance was momentary, and she was able to focus on the fight once more.

And she wondered why her opponent hadn't pressed her advantage. This was honour in war, but wasn't it a Sith saying that there was no honour in being dead?
She was pleased her saber had drawn first blood but was a little concerned her opponent caught the hilt on its return journey. Another reason why she considered the saber to be unworthy of the title weapon. Way too easily lost — especially when she’d gifted it to her.

Maybe it was a feint? For no sooner had the saber been thrown back to her than she was aware that her opponent was attempting to remove her legs. So she ignored the hilt for now and focused on avoiding keeping the parts of her body below the knee.

Being caught in two minds was a weakness. She jumped a fraction too late and felt the burning pain of a saber slashing her thigh as she landed as she was taking evasive manoeuvres.

The wound was cauterised but was causing significant pain already. A Soresu user might have struggled with the distraction. But she didn't use Form III. She was using Vaapad.

And a less well-known fact about the Form was that it was also possible to apply Vaapad in unarmed combat, with the user's arms becoming too fast to see. So she looked down at her hilt on the floor, in the expectation that her opponent would follow her gaze, and she instantly jumped into her opponent, her arms whirling so fast as she rained blow after blow. She aimed to get so close to the Chiss that her saber would be useless and self-defence would become her main focus.

The dark side surged through Mullarus' veins as his anger and hatred fed the Force flowing around him, squeezing the Jedi's neck. Suddenly, he felt as if his sudden immense hate had gone away and...he stopped. He couldn't explain the feeling, his muse to fightbhad just drifted away for a moment.

In fact, now that he looked, the entire field of battle was empty. What is going on? I can't move! Mullarus could not see nor move for some reason...

Gear: 1x MKI bolter, 1x bolt pistol, 1x sonic shotgun, wrist-worn flamethrower, vibroknife, grenades, lightsabre, beskar'gam. Technically also Sith Lightsabre since Sio grabbed it in my preceding post after it was thrown at her.

He had blasted her with lightning. This hurt her. In retaliation, she had confiscated his lightsabre and collapsed a lung. This seemed like a fair deal to her! However, it went without saying that the former Emperor was far from beaten. His lightning assault ended, relieving her of the pain she had been feeling when he had sought to fry her. However, there was obviously no reprieve for her as Kaine called upon the darkest of magicks. She felt the palpable shift in the Force as an aura of dark side energy descended upon the battlefield, an oily feeling of dread arising as he performed complex gestures to harness the dark power. Gestures that were very familiar to her, for she likewise remembered Wayland. Then a blasphemous, vile word escaped his lips. One equally familiar to her.

"̵̥̺̓̊K̴̠͉̝̖̮̬̈́̎ͪ̑́I͚͗͟R̶̯̳̺̬ͧͯ͊͗͞Ḁ̭͈̻̖̥̒̅̆͌ͪ͠Ż̢̘͉̬̭̑̀͋́͝Ḯ̗̯̜͎̲̒ͨ̋̎̽̕!̵̵̳̘̥͗̈̍ͭ̐ͭ̂ͮ̕"͕̪̞̜̳̫̯̟͒ͤ̀̀̋̏ͬͣ͛͠

There was fog, then snake-like tendrils of evil were given shape. Siobhan steeled herself for the attack. When faced with the choice between trying to block it or push forward with her own attack, she chose the latter. She had been mentally preparing herself to summon a shockwave while unleashing pain upon his lung, now she gathered her willpower, pain and hatred and pulled at the strands of invisible power. In the same moment as his drain began and the snake-like tendrils of darkness shot towards her, she fired off her telekinetic shockwave. Rubble lying between them would be broken apart or tossed far and wide as the massive blast of telekinetic swept towards him.

The pure, unadulterated wave of telekinetic energy rippling from her hand would impact with all the force of a bomb blast and she focused it all upon Kaine. All her will was focused upon crushing him, shattering his bones upon impact and sending him flying to smash into a building beyond.

Then the tendrils of evil struck her, coiling around her body like snakes. The most vile thing about Force Drain was that it was not just physical pain that it caused, but also mental one, for it sapped at her willpower and life force, seeking to consume her. She bit down hard on her tongue as she felt her body weakening under the strain, seemingly unable to move as his dark magicks took their toll on her. Since she had been focused on summoning her telekinetic wave and driving it towards him, she had not had the time to summon a barrier.

It was like a foul pestilence had infected her and she struggled, spasming as the dark power tried to eat at and claw her. Breathing very heavily, actually more like panting, she forced herself up once again, though her legs felt shaky. Beneath her visor, her eyes had turned as dark as the night sky. In a rage she sought to wrap the Force around her to shield herself and dissipate the onslaught.

Ella begun her descent back towards ground. The invisible hand she had felt clenched around her neck had lifted itself off, under the machinations of her own powers. She had felt the pressure building in every second and she was thankful that the Force Stun had worked. Otherwise, her neck would have broke.

She didn't have time to be thankful, however. The moment of hesitation on the part of Nerius- a small slight as it might have been- gave the Jedi Knight extra seconds to time her parry. As quick as a flash, the pink blade soared through the rain towards her. It met blue, just as she fell back down into the mud.

Mud sprayed up from where she landed, kicking itself up into the air from the impact. Parrying the saberthrow had left an opening in her defense. As Nerius closed in, Ella tried to swerve her body, moving her legs back the way Nerius was charging in from. Her stomach was cut open by the briefest of glances on the Sith Acolyte's weapon. Not fatal. It wasn't even deep. But it burned. It burned a lot.

The Force told her to attack. Offense was the only form of defense that was available to her. Putting out a foot to stop her momentum in the events that had followed Mullarus' Force Choke, Ella wheezed- her throat raw- whilst releasing a battle cry. Exhilarated, the Jedi closed in on Nerius before he could retrieve his second weapon.

She aimed to slash into Nerius' lightsaber deliberately, in order to knock it one way, before closing in for a dissecting blow to his right leg whilst his weapon hand went to the left.

Whilst Mullarus was incapacitated and Nerius with only one weapon, she knew that this was the moment in the duel where it would turn one way or the other. She would endeavor for it to go her way.

"My reign of tyranny?"

Vaulkhar perked his brow in confusion. He himself was a pretty lazy Sith, he must admit it. There was very little the man did, aside from training and fighting here and there. In terms of Sith, he was likely the lowest upon the totem pole of power. Shaking his head, more towards himself than his opponent, he simply shrugged.

"I suppose I am oppressing the galaxy, but I must ask you, what is it that makes something dark or light? I find the whole darkside versus the lightside argument a little foolish."

Vaulkhar releases a sigh and lowers his lightsaber slightly. After a moment of slight hesitation, the young Sith dashes towards his opponent once more and begins a flurry of attack that follows no pattern of movement. It is quick, it is brutal, and it is without pause.

"There ist no light or dark. There ist only the Force."

That was the teaching of his father. It was the only thing the man had told him in regards to the Force before he'd disappeared. It was an essential philosophy, though. The Force itself did not choose sides, or seek to balance, or anything of that nature. The Force simply was. The only thing that made it light or dark was the person that was wielding it. It was all about personal responsibility and the personal moral code. That was what separated a Jedi from a Sith: humanity, in the figurative sense of the term.

The Sith came at him in a flurry of strikes. Barrien twirled his blade around, blocking and parrying strikes as necessary, doing just what was needed to keep from getting sliced in half. He was on the defensive, and he was alright with that. Let the Sith tire and grow frustrated. It would only serve him better.

"Thou art wasting thy time by being here. Thou shouldst leave."

"Lieutenant, the satellite interference has dispersed. We are clear for an attack!"
Jaccer Ramirez appeared at monitor which showed a birds-eye view of the battle. Destruction, death and fire ruled the mountainous terrain below, and now it was time for the Lieutenant to add his share of chaos. Tapping on the monitor, the view of the battlefield zoomed in and centred towards the South of the garrison. At the edge of the war zone were the artillery pieces which had been continuously hammering Republic emplacements since their relatively recent deployments soon before. Anti-aircraft guns were destroying any drop ships entering or leaving the airspace. These batteries would have to neutralised if the Republic and their allies wanted any chance of support or reinforcements from above.

"Let's show these maggots some real firepower." This was all Jaccer was required to say before his staff began tapping on their monitors and talking down their comm systems. A shark-like grin appeared on the commanding officer's face. He and his men knew what would come next. It would without a doubt be glorious to watch.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Each grid coordinate, both 33 and 35, had 60 K-wing assault fighters flying above at altitudes far greater than any other of the aircraft already in play. Most AA weaponry wouldn't even consider these aircraft a threat. This height wouldn't allow any weaponry to be used accurately against the forces below. Luckily, with the sheer amount of firepower this force had between them, they didn't need accuracy. "K-1 copies that dropping payload." "K-2 copies all, bombs away!" The confirmations from the pilots continued until all 120 K-wings were accounted for. All 1,200 concussion bombs were in free-fall towards the two targets. The sight of this alone would undoubtedly cause great fear in any One Sith forces below, if they were capable of seeing the bombs from so far away. This predicament for the One Sith would be solved shortly, as the bombs rapidly approached their final destination.

600 bombs at each of the designated grids fell towards the ground like metallic rain. But the damage caused by these weapons would be a thousands time more severe than anything the rain was capable of. The combined payload of all 120 K-wing's detonating would do extreme damage to the surrounding area and anybody unlucky enough to be caught in the centre of the destruction... that was if the bombs hit their target.

As the bombs exploded on the floor beneath him, Jaccer's grin would widen into a sinister smile. What could be seen on the surface of this planet was both astonishing and terrifying. 1,200 explosions such as this was capable of flattening a small city, but instead of that it was used against a small force of One Sith soldiers and vehicles. Some would call it overkill. To the lieutenant, this was necessary.

His enemies would burn. There would be no stopping this crusade.

“Lose the saber, my dear. It wouldn’t have helped you in a fight anyway.” Greta was told by the man to holster her weapon, albeit in a rather arrogant manner. The arrogance is clearly strong in this one. There was two ways why she thought that this might be the case. Firstly, the man could be exceptional skilled in the arms of combat, so advanced that she stood no chance of winning whatsoever. Secondly, he was just plainly over-confident with himself and simply said what he pleased. Perhaps there could even be a third option that she hadn't thought of.

Whatever reason it was, the way he said it annoyed her. However, her instincts told her it would be unwise to mess with the man unless otherwise necessary. Greta had learnt over the years to trust and rely on her instincts, so this would what she would do this moment. Returning her lightsaber to its position on her belt, the Sith knight crossed her arms and sulked at the stranger like a spoilt child not getting what she wanted. "Fine." It was not fine, and she was not okay.

The man spoke once more, this time with a proposition in his words. “I have a few ideas… do you have plans next friday? I am thinking Windu’s, they just opened a place orbiting Telti.” Now, that took her by surprise and was a quick turn of events. Greta had been to Windu's once, and the food there was actually pretty decent. Her anger simmed down, taken aback by abruptness of it all. "Now, that sounds like a better place for a date. Have you tried the Windu's Signature Burger? It's fantastic."

Now that was a neat trick.

Oh there was no denying the brunette was skilled in illusion. She wove a mighty fine, and dare he say, vertigo inducing sway. However, this was't Micah's first rodeo. In fact, this was the very reason the Talith had crafted items that would help him combat such trickery. The Circlet of Salee around his neck was meant to protect him by amplifying his mental defenses. His helm? Well he had forged and alchemized it with Kasha crystals within the phrik to clear his mind of distractions and create a perfect meditation environment.

This wasn't even counting the Force Hunter's talisman, which much like a Tashi Bond Tracker, when he was in close mental or physical contact with the brunette, he was able to get a measure of awareness as to the proximity, distance, and emotional state of sapients that have a strong force bond... much like with a master and apprentice.

All in all... Micah was about to show the duo about jumping headfirst into battle with a Talith without proper precautions.

Oh, I'm sooo going to enjoy this, he would muse.

So when the half Vahla came at his back, Micah was ready. He felt the ties that bind at his throat... but he had learned his lesson on Ord Mirit. His armor would offer resistance to a direct Force choke -- but that didn't mean he wasn't about to go along with it. Oh he was....

All of a sudden he would pretend to start choking. He even made a couple of noises for the joke's sake. Let them believe they had him.

On the contrary... they were about to find out that Micah had a load of tricks up his sleeve.

"If-- I-I do?"

Choke, choke, choke... Faking it that is.

Just wait for it.. waiiiiiit for it....

The Force suddenly went surging through him like a surge of lightning. A blur of movement, and he spun on his foot. The orange blade would parry Sena's lightsaber, just as his gauntlet-ed hand would reach out with a sudden attempt to grab at her free arm.

"Would you lie down with me?"

Were it to land....

Well, Micah did take after his mother.

The gauntlets were made to send a powerful electric shock upon striking the target, used to temporarily paralyze his opponents with non lethal damage.

BANGARANG!

Nerius caught the movement of the arm just as it began towards his leg, and though he saw the movement, his own speed was not enough to evade it entirely. Attempting to twirl away, to the left as his own saber had been deflected, he was caught along the back of his leg.

It didn't slice clean threw, but it did indeed cut enough to smell the metallic ozone smell that permeated when he was wounded. Dropping to a knee, at the same time as he brought his own blade in to bash his opponents away before it could go any further. Throwing himself forward, into a roll, he slowly rose, favoring that leg.

His insides told him to heal - now. But with the intellect provided by the Robes, he also knew it was time to pounce. While she was still haggard from the dual onslaught. Plus, he had to break her concentration to allow Mullarus his faculties once again.

Luckily the insanity of the Pink Monster had allowed his will to overcome the Stun, while the other hadn't.

Lunging in close, Nerius used his saber with two hands, condensing his arm muscles to a degree he hadn't even reached before. Three blows came in quick succession, one aimed for the neck, the next at her right knee, followed by an upward diagonal from her left hip towards her right clavicle - hoping to play on weakness usually found in a downward block.

Though his attacks were devastatingly strong, he hoped that favoring his leg was not going to cause him this battle! As well, hoping this would release Mullarus, as he couldn't do it alone - not without healing!!
