Suddenly, the male diver appeared hesitant to hand her his gun. Meanwhile, the female diver rolled around in agony on the sea floor.

“Hand me the gun right now or there is no chance to save your friend!” Darth Azurea shouted through her face mask, bubbles drifting up, obscuring the view between them. She had no time to Mind Control him. He had to willingly hand her the gun and within seconds. Before she saw it, she felt the sturdy weapon as the fellow diver thrust it into her hands. Just in time too because out of the corner of her eye, she could see the shark swinging back around, lunging towards the both of them.

Darth Azurea fumbled around and finally shot off a harpoon. The gun had more kick-back than she had even imagined, but she used the Force to steady herself and fire off another round. The shark had three harpoons jutting out of its massive body now. Azurea then let go of the weapon, and put a Force bubble around herself and the two divers. If the woman, now lying listlessly at the bottom, were to survive they needed to get her to shore and a bacta tank within minutes.

Mythos was awe struck when she placed a crown on Kida's hair and accepted his dance, still Kida would not be out of his sight for long so he placed her in The Princess Chair after he had taken the princess hand, Mythos for a moment there held the hands of Two Princess at once, had he told that sentence to a year younger version of himself he would have Scoffed, at himself. As he placed Kida in the Fancy chair knowing she would be well looked after by the Staff of the Princess he turned and took the princess ti the Center of Ball. Now Mythos and Thais were quite literally and figuratively the Center of the Ballroom. He took the step back extending his hand and taking a bow as the music started. His dance teacher at Naboo used to say that you can learn much about a person by dancing with them, he found this to be, terribly true. He closed in the distance and placed his hand in her Hip and the other in her hand held closely to his chin and stepped to the Music, his movements effortlessly and leading the dance. "I must say i don't mean to be bold" He twirled and moved in a way that sent their dresses in an White and Gold arc that to the onlooker must have looked quite gallant. "But you truly look beautiful" He smiled as he found that she was in fact, a very good dancer.

"Hmm well, the Magistrate has been quite unreachable for the past few weeks Galicus, i really don't know what to tell you but" The Muun sighed fidgeting with his drink. "I will Try to get you an audience, does it have to be now?" the Muun seemed oddly pressured not to disturb the Magistrate but Galicus of the Sagious House, Patriarch of the Sagious was not deterred and was getting quite impatient. "If you don't mind i would like to speak with the Magistrate or a Representative of the Intergalactic Banking Clans as soon as Possible, it is of Utmost importance Haskani. I have with me the contracts and paperwork needed for a very important project that would mean an Investment into the Baking Clans already spoiled and rotten coffers." Galicus frowned hearing that the Very Banking Clans he had been raised to represent was suddenly barring representation and made themselves unattainable, this kind of behaviors would not last in Galicus' time. Haskani looked taken aback, his Muun features contorted with such an important declaration. "I will send a call to the Magistrates' office immediatly, you do know where the Conference room is do you not?"
Galicus looked at him in a Sarcastic way before saying. "My Boy i was in the conference room when you were learning how to spell your name, be quick please, i beg of you, Do this and we are even." Galicus said matter of factly.
"Of course Sagious, i will be right on this" With that the muun went to send a call to [member="Vassik Kilvaari"].

And there it was, his first gold mine. He couldn't put a name to the face, but that was fine, because his surroundings provided it soon enough anyway. It was easy. Again. Intel gathering; now, that was a whole another animal. It required a different skillset than picking valuables off of people who never really earned them — okay, some may have — and that skillset included nice smiles, smooth talking, and bribery. A lot of it. Sometimes people didn't even know they were being bribed, but that wasn't really the point.

The point, as you might wonder, was to convince the target, or goal, or partner — or mark, if you will — to believe that they were getting the better part of the deal, when in fact they were being screwed over in every direction if at all possible. Now, the usual information broker had to take care not to anger his clients during exchanges like these, but Laguz wasn't burdened by the woes of the normal information broker, mostly because he could look like someone else within a matter of seconds.

Angry customer? No problem, the dude they closed the deal with would be gone by the time they blinked twice. It was a saving grace, considering his business policy — which, unsurprisingly, included cutting corners whenever possible — and might just save his hide a few times tonight if it continued like this.

Because, really, some of his 'colleagues' were downright awful at blending in. Their postures, stiff; their glares, obvious; their shoes... well, at least they hadn't come wearing military boots, but some came karking near that capital blunder. It had take a last-minute intervention by the shifter to dissuade a particularly stubborn Bleeding Sun agent who was supposed to masquerade as a caterer at the ball, and a rather lengthy explanation as to why wearing boots to a party simply wasn't the way to go.

Their fashion crimes aside, however, they weren't doing all that bad, or at least not quite as bad as Laguz had expected them to. Most of the problematic parties had been discreetly removed already, and only a few with better bodyguards and a crazier paranoia were still left standing.

Initially the Muun tried to resist his grip, but his inferior physical strength was no match for that of the Archivist's.

Security of course, had been watching the scene but were dismayed when the turret did not spring up to rain bolts down upon the Sith, who had finally lived up to their suspicions. Without any other active defences in the vicinity it was evident that they had to signal the alarm, a sign that Hal knew meant that his time here was limited.

The struggles began to cease as Hal forcibly invaded the Head Librarian's mind. It was almost overwhelming at first, the vast amount of information that resided within his mind was almost tenfold in comparison to those that he had practised the technique of drain knowledge upon. A lifetime of learning, memories and useless information about art. Despite his lack of interest a notion hissed within the back of Terrano's head.

Take it all.

His teeth grit, the utmost focus was placed upon utilising the dark side ability. With every ragged breath that was inhaled by the man came with streams of the Muun's knowledge. There was something pleasurable in the very act, the veins upon his hands and head becoming ever more prominent as ninety years of study was sapped from one and drank by the other.

Security would be arriving soon.

Once upon a time Hal Terrano had been a man of the utmost restraint.

That man was truly gone in this moment, when in his greed and lust for knowledge he continued to tear everything from Grottil's mind. The urge to have it all, even useless memories was far too great for him to deny. His lifetime had been spent repressing his wants.

No more.

He wanted it all.

Every. Last. Drop.

Soon that desire became reality, as with malicious focus and searing hands he had taken it all. His own mind now brimming with that which he did not know before. The sensation was almost overwhelming in itself as finally Hal released the Muun's head from his grip.

The Head Librarian crumpled into a finely dressed heap upon the ground. Likely the damage to his brain would be irreversible. There would be no recovering of rehabilitation from what Hal Terrano had done. If Zhin Grottil was not already doomed to a comatose state, then he would be a shell, a vegetable.

The double doors burst open.

Little Kida peered up to try and catch sight of the crown which was settled in her hair. Once a certain HK droid had presented her with a crown of leaves and twigs from her homeworld of Endor, and she had almost immediately torn it apart in her glee to have the scents and reminders of home. The funny little droid hadn't even cared, in fact he had probably made it with that exact purpose in mind. This crown was different. It still had a somewhat earthy scent, likely due to the gems which inhabited it, yet she knew it wasn't to be trifled with.

It fell down over her eyes and the little girl squealed quietly in delight. She then tipped her head back to settle it back in place properly and nuzzled against Animus as he once again lifted her up and held her for a moment. "Taa-oo!" she said to the Princess, as she was being settled into the woman's chair. She watched as Animus and the Lady moved further from her, and part of her wanted to follow. But she had to behave herself, so she stayed put and watched as the light caught the crown and cast funny rainbows across the ground. Oo she liked that so very much!

Princess Kallisto watched as Darth Mythos placed Kida Malgus onto her chair. Again, her attendants appeared visibly uncomfortable, but Thais couldn’t be bothered with her ill-tempered advisers now. When would they learn that the Crystal Heiress did what she wanted, when she wanted to as was her purview and right as a Kallisto?

She yielded to the Sith Knight's arms as he held her, and to the movements of the dance as he propelled them along. Mythos was an excellent dancer to say the least. She wasn’t exactly sure of the precise steps but had learned enough waltzes that she would follow along gracefully. A couple years ago at her sweet sixteen party, she remembered dancing with a young, acne-marked Baron and feeling awkward and gangly. But in two short years, her figure had strengthened and her elegance compounded.

Abruptly, she stumbled but Darth Mythos caught her before she even got near to the floor. And what an embarrassment that would be.

“You seem to be able to predict my terrible dance moves,” she said, smiling. “Are you good at predicting bad business moves as well?”

She seemed to remember Darth Mythos as a middleman of sorts, able to connect various individuals and companies, and like complicated dance steps, pull them altogether to form a graceful waltz. She wouldn’t be able to have a Sith Knight as a court adviser on Isis, as Crix Meriet was, however she could find a way to keep Mythos close. As long as he didn’t mind that they would be forced to do their business in the shadows.

To dive deep, to learn something new. The Slayer craft, in all it's forceful guidance, set down upon a rocky outcropping, jutting out violently from the ocean floor. Below, turquoise and blue foam sprayed against the basin, soaking against sparsely vegetated stone. As the monster vessel set down in the field of prairie grass, likely brought about by some form of wind dispersal, Maalik stepped out from the beast. His glowing eyes, searching and curious, led him to the edge.

To explore, to take time for knowledge. He felt the scars across his face, born from a treatment not his own choice. There was very little done to him that he had any say in. The monstrosities on Selvaris, the torture and breaking and repair - all things beyond him. And perhaps there was a sagacity in that choice - that when given the chance, he crashed upon the planet recklessly. It was obvious that he shouldn't be the one in control, not when he was so easily led astray.

Removing his cloak and placing them softly upon the grass, he placed his boots down and removed his pants. Folding them up nicely, he led out a sigh and turned back towards the cliff face. He assumed the place was a beautiful sight, something to capture in the mind and remember. But for the life of him, that dullness sweeping over and controlling observations, he found no utility in this beauty. And in turn, he couldn't accept it. With that, he pushed off, feeling the wind rip against him as he plummeted to the water below.

Security had finally arrived but they were far too late.

The first two that stormed into the office were met by a simple Force push, but one that sent their considerably frailer bodies rocketing into the opposite wall, one knocking slamming into a painting, knocking it off the wall, the other crashing into a bust, destroying the sculpture and possibly his spine.

A familiar snap-hiss of an ignited lightsaber filled the room for a brief moment, flooding the dimly light office with a brilliant blue hue. The Head Librarian likely kept the room this way in dedication to his favourite painting.

He was right, the contrast certainly did add dramatics to the scene, or perhaps that was the Sith standing there.

There was more security outside the room but they did not dare to charge in, although they were likely depending on Hal to walk out into the barrage of turret fire that was most definitely waiting for him.

“Come out, Sith!”

A familiar voice.

There were grins exchanged, and furtive glances suggestive of things that Laguz never planned to actually follow up on, but they didn't necessarily have to know that. In fact, what they needed to know was the exact opposite — that is, they needed to believe that what he would give them in turn was worth every bit of danger they were putting themselves into by talking to him.

Laguz, dastardly as he was, did not give a chit about how badly the reputation or health of those people might suffer in his wake, for when he made a deal, he made sure he'd drained the mark — or target, or goal — of everything they had to offer, simply because he was well aware of the style of his bargaining and therefore had no interest in returning to the same spot twice. He was a leech, in short. An exploitative bastard who liked to feed off of that which other's may or may not have earned through hard work, storing it away in vaults an caches and offplanet accounts under false names and shell corporations, wrapping it in a myriad of red tape and privileges earned through other means.

In the end, his network of information and credits was constructed on the blood and wealth of others, yet still it somehow ran without much interruption or attention, and so long as he had his wits about him, the merc had every intention to keep it that way. One of the reasons he liked working for the Host Lord, really; the Prophet didn't really care for the means, only for the end, and the end was currently welcoming Muunilist to their fold.

The shifter had come to the ball with his own ulterior motives, naturally, but nothing prevented him from satisfying both at once. Maybe it would finally get him a foot in the door with the woman, though at this point, the merc had his doubts. At any rate, the seduction of the umbaran was secondary to cleaning up a small mess left behind by one of the agents who'd forgotten to mop up the few drops of blood.

Amateurs.

Mishk... poor [member="Mishk"]. He could not help but to think of the tiny form of the Jawa as Zambrano dwelled upon the dark side, dwelled upon the life and memories of the island, sitting there awaiting the responses of his students to break him from his trance. Although the skull painted face of the serpent remained constant, and emotionless, beneath the surface his soul wept in prayer. The catalyst for the rise of the Black Prophet had been his passing, and the reason for his piety being the strength that kind Mishk bestowed upon him as a final gift.

Thus in a way, Mishk lived on, through him. Balagoth granted this singular consolation to him, to give him an anchor, a means by which he might pull the spirit of his apprentice back to him, from the Unseen Plane... though such a quest was long in the making. An order of Seekers had been founded, for the sole purpose of finding this gateway, which had stolen the lives of billions across the galaxy... in the hopes of instituting their return.

They toyed dangerously with the fabrics of nature... and none were more dedicated and motivated to rend the natural laws apart than the Black Prophet.

Anja stood aboard her Cathedral-class Battleship, Unbreakable, the large cruiser slowly approached the planet's atmosphere. Despite being a warship, she was here because many months ago she made a deal with the Muuns that she intended to keep...

"We're approaching optimal trajectory," an officer announced.

Other hands on the bridge were hard at work to bring the behemoth down as it broke through the thick layers protecting the surface below. Slowly the starship descended, cascading a shadowy cover over the many buildings and souls beneath them. Anja herself had resided in her chambers, "Your Worship, your shuttle is ready." The announcement came over intercom.

Anja rose and began her trek throughout the ship's bowels and towards the hangar bay where her personal shuttle awaited to take her to wherever the Host Lord wished to go.

Finally, after all this time. She exhaled before stepping onto the shuttle.

What mysteries lie in that dark, to call him here? He hit the water like an aerodynamic bag of rocks, his form perfect but the transformation into Yuuzhan Vong not allowing for any true form of buoyancy. As he hit, the body of water gulped him down, spraying white mist upwards in retort of the intrusion. Peak physical conditions, one of the view benefits of the transformation, Maalik twisted towards the underwater vertical column of intermingled granite and eroded marble.

Swimming forward, he pressed his hard hands against the transition and attempted to appreciate the change in texture. Nothing. What purpose did it serve, was it something important of something hardly worth of note? He landed on the latter despite his every intent to appreciate what was before him. Bubbles rose from submerged aquatic vegetation, clinging to life against the sunken stone. That struggle, that survival in such a dynamic and changing and harsh conditions, that was a thing he could appreciate. A smile, that was what they called his expression, as he returned to the surface for oxygen.

Whipping his hair back, he rubbed the salt from his face and looked around. Nothing. Piercing back down into the water, he gulped at the air as he spotted the reflection of something and a deep pool beneath. Curiosity, an odd thing for someone who had dismissed it. He took one last large breath and began a downward descent. He wasn't sure if Yuuzhan Vong enjoyed swimming and if they didn't, he must have in his former life. Because he moved like a blue shark through the water, nearly blending seamlessly into the foreground of his own wake.

Down and down some more. The sun would soon fade as attenuation no longer became viable.

Darth Azurea could tell now that that the male diver was romantically attached to the female diver, but she couldn't tell if they were husband and wife or lovers. But the anguish on his face was enough that she knew. As they tread water, he cradled her in his arms as she struggled for life. Bubbles from her diving mask indicated she was still breathing.

The Sith Knight, still feeling somewhat conflicted, put aside her coldness and brutality for one moment and helped to get the female diver to shore. After a short swim back to the beach as soon as they reached the sand, the male diver began giving the female mouth to mouth. Azurea ripped off her own mask, kicked off of her flippers and ran to where her own supplies were, including her lightsaber. She had hidden them under a few small rocks.

Coming back with the lightsaber, she saw with relief that the female was breathing but she looked extremely pale and clammy.

"Stand back," said Azurea. "I'm going to cauterize the wound so she doesn't lose any more blood."

And that's exactly what the brunette Sith Knight did.

He could feel the price of his exertion in his mind. One did not just raid the entirety of a ninety year old mind without paying a physical price for such. He expected as time went on that his exhaustion would increase as he weaned himself off of the harsh rush of the Dark Side.

“Come out, Sith!” the voice demanded again, this time with an increased sense of urgency and panic.

He could hear mumbling through the other side of the doors, but not in basic, instead it was in Muun. However, his newly acquired knowledge left him knowing their words. They were afraid. The nervous chatter, blasters likely rattling in trembling hands. Lacking such physicality truly did have its downsides.

“I have acquired the knowledge that I sought, I wish to leave now,” Hal replied, voice an unwavering but now sinister source of calm.

“I said, come out!”

It was time for a short break. Even professionals with upwards of two centuries of field work and experience couldn't keep it up constantly, and Laguz had enough money in his caskets to be a ble to afford a small pause as he went out for a smoke with an excessively attractive arkanian. She was in the cloning and gene engineering business, or so she said. In the end, the source of her income didn't matter much to the merc, only that she had one, and that it was sufficiently hefty.

As they stood there on the balcony, staring out into the light-polluted night, the two talked about the shallow society of today, about their empty pursuits and the incessant need to out-do each other in the luxury they could afford to purchase, ironically demonstrated by the ball they were attending at this very moment.

Laguz used the quaint, philosophy-colored moment of intimacy to permanently borrow a signet ring she'd been wearing before excusing himself back inside with a pretense of another engagement waiting on him. It would be highly inconvenient for him to still be there once the woman stumbled against the railing as consciousness left her, at which point she would likely fall over and into that same ditch so dutifully prepared by the Bleeding Sun. Many of her compatriots in thought were already there, decomposing nicely and quickly, ready to welcome her into their rotting embrace.

The fresh air had done the shifter well, and once more the dashing rogue was ready to face new pockets and minds that he could relieve of all that was worthy of selling on to whoever bid the highest. Because, truly, this life was naught if not a very long, very obscure price list.

The pressure builds. He moved his arms as his legs fluttered behind, a seed spore in it's downward spiral. Until finally, he found that shine and glimmer. The reflection bouncing against some metallic object, lodged into the face of the column. Maalik wasn't near the bottom, he wasn't sure his body could withstand the pressure. And air was becoming an issue as he cupped the heart shaped locket in his hand, fiddling with the device as he attempted to understand it. As he displaced pressure, it opened up to show a picture of a woman and man, offset from one another. The female had locks of blond hair and rose cheeks, the mans skin was dark and his hair short cropped. They were in love, Maalik thought, not truly understanding the weight of such a measure.

The inscription on the outside, read by a figure recently taken to the idea of reading, recently removed from passions by the transformation to slayer. If you find this, come to our spot, in the cavern bay. I'll meet you there.

It was just then that he realized the black pool, spotted before was an entrance of some sort. If it was a cavern, he would find what was inside. And see what this meeting was about. Peddling his feet, he entered the mouth of the cavern, extending upward into the vertical column. Upwards, he could see light, and took the shot as he pushed upwards. This would either be a revelation worth the risk, or a meaningless death. Neither of which he would celebrate or mourn.

He was merely in the state of existing.

The shuttle launched from the hangar bay and began its journey through the towering cities of bankers, businessmen, and developers. It was truly extraordinary what the Muuns have accomplished, how was it that such a proud and cunning race had fallen into obscurity? Perhaps they preferred it that way, much like the Umbarans the Muuns were not known to be very open, but neither were the two dishonest. An Umbaran was a master of politics whereas a Muun was a master of economics.

Together, the two would be formidable and could dictate galactic affairs with ease--only if Umbara and Muunilinst were closer, then perhaps such an alliance could exist. Regardless an alliance between them and the Primeval was well within the realm of possibility.

Anja herself had exploited her relationship with the Muuns already, their top advisors helped them take control of the Rift and truly profit from its vast resources.

While the negotiations carried on, Sinistra's team lead by her Umbaran operative, Fela, located Lan Porgata's domicile, gaining access while he was otherwise occupied here at the meeting. The collection of rare artifact on display was impressive, but that was not their focus on this trip. Fela tiptoed to the target, his personal computer console in what looked like his private office. It did not take them long to duplicate the hard drive, although the staggering level of encryption on it was paranoid, even for a Muun. Fela looked at the clock. It was time to get back out, leaving everything just as it was, including a loop of security feed to cover their foray into his private sanctum. It had taken them less than 10 minutes to breach the location and leave again. Sinistra would be pleased.

Kira received a confirmation message during the meeting, but she did not bother to pull her comlink out to check it. The chime alone meant there was mission success. She shifted her weight in the chair, watching her diplomatic liaison, Lorta work the Muuns over like she was born to it. She would be due a raise soon if she kept it up. Lorta was not a Kuati by birth but she had been an asset to the CMH ever since Kira had found her on Naboo.
