Asteria let Patricia laugh and smiled as well, she did probably look very funny fuming like she was. When she explained what had happened, she shrugged her shoulders and replied in her 'normal' voice very matter-of-factly.

"Well that explains a lot." She paused for a second, then added.

"Except for this strange craving for mushrooms, I don't even like mushrooms."

She looked around for Cryax, then seeing him, had to hold in her own giggles and covered her mouth so her smile didn't show.

Deva Cleric

Objective: Win game, get lekku
Allies: Ravens

Cleric spell? What did the voice think she'd read the stupid book? No, she had not! Of course now that she was thinking about it, she found knowledge pouring into her mind about these so-called spells. She apparently could cast a calming spell, but to hell with that. If she wasn't calm no one else got to be either. Tossing the crier to the ground, the Deva moved to stand closer to the intimidating dragon-man that was [member="Foebacca"], mace suddenly in hand. Smashing a few heads, that would be good. That would make her feel a little better about all of this.

It probably said something that the man who used explosives to make landing sites because meh, why not, was the voice of reason instead of the usually diplomatic female. As [member="Jarven Zexxel"] righted the town crier, and gave him back the stupid bell before addressing the citizens, half of it made sense, half of it was mental. This might be because of their current situation, or it might just be Jarven, it was hard to tell.

In any case, the Deva had at least half composed herself, though the mace was still tightly clenched in one hand ready for some serious smiting, her features were otherwise possessed of an otherwordly stillness and serenity, reminding the villagers of their own pathetic mortal natures.

Now it was starting to make sense. The Ravens had all been polymorphed into different alien bodies by some Force mumbo jumbo that...Wait, why was everyone laughing at him? It must have been his tiny hands. Or maybe it was his ridiculous beard. Either way, Cryax rolled his eyes and tramped over to the tall, silver-skinned near-human with the glowing white eyes and gave her skirt a tug. From the faint tiger-stripes on her skin, and the wailing she was doing about her Lekku, it didn’t take a genius to realize that this was Chiasa.

From the way that the other Ravens were wielding their strange, primitive weapons, it seemed like they were about to smack some of the villagers around. “Hey! The woman said to cast a cleric spell, Chiasa,” he said. Perhaps he was too far away from his vantage point near the ground for his tiny words to make it to her ear because she didn’t seem to hear him.

Oh for the Maker’s sake, did he have to do everything himself? He pointed his gnarled root staff with the glowy thing on top and aimed it at the townspeople. Force knew exactly what kind of spell he was casting but they’d all soon find out.

Things were getting complicated, really complicated. From that one idiot's ramblings about justice to the Deva freaking out about her stupid head tails. And to make things worse the giant scaly dragon thing looked like he was about to start murdering things, and this was all caused by Chiasa freaking out about her lekku. The villagers began to grow aggravated and scared as various people tried to step in only to create more chaos between them, they didn't know who to listen to or pay attention to. It was all just too much, some drew swords and other began to pace away.

But luckily the short little wizard [member="Cryax Bane"] and his adorable baby hands stepped up to save the day. Charging his spell the rod of the staff focused the magics of the area and began to illuminate the air in a tiny fireworks display that crackled in the air with a grand finale that read

"We're Sorry!"

The villagers calmed down and were now brought back to normal, tensions were now eased. The villagers began to disperse leaving the party alone and carried on with their daily lives. They would not be giving the ravens any cool gear like Jarven had suggested, perhaps in the future it would be wise not to be such a tool.

"Your party calms the villagers, you are now free to proceed to save the king." The disembodied voice sounded not so annoyed after a good nights sleep and lots of anger therapy classes

As all that business was going down and the fireworks were popping off the sun began to dip bellow the horizon slowly and dusk began to break slowly as an unnatural darkness was starting to grow in the air. Starting from the cemetery a thick black blanket of merck began to grow from the headstones and a faint green energy grew from that darkness.

The cemetery only a fifty or so meters away from the party began to glow in that dark green energy and the blanket of dark mist continued to pour outwards. There was a moment when everything went silent, all the oxygen was sucked out of the air and soon.

BOOM
tumblr_mco83xSfIq1rbavngo1_500.gif

An explosion of green skulls and energy came puffing out of the cemetery in a mushroom cloud and the first wizard of the council stood in the shadow of that massive explosion. Raising both his hands a small force of skeletons around sixty or so began to rise from the ground

skeleton_army.jpg

The skeletons formed around the necromancer and soon the hooded figure began to step forward with a limp that sounded out.

Drag, thump, drag, thump, drag, thump, drag, thump the necromancer grew closer and closer with it's force of skeletons with it's head bowed concealing his face. As it grew closer the necromancer lifted his head up to show his twisted face.

kuzvoWJ.jpg

Raising his hand at the party he snarled a few words and it began.

"MALICRUX!!" He snarled and green energy poured out of his hands aimed at the party of adventures, and soon the rest of the skeletons charged some wielding rusted swords others with branches as clubs.

Location: The Village
Objective: Learn to walk, don't get eaten by Skeletons
Race: Dwarf
Class: Warrior

The new Dwarf continued to try and struggle to his feet while the others argued amongst themselves about lekku and cleric spells. He wans't making much progress. However, the Dwarf trampling around the bushes looking like he was attempting something between doing The Worm and having a seizure was quite a thing to see. Why wouldn't these feet go under him?!He was supposed to stand up! He'd seen humans do it all the time! It didn't look that hard! However, eventually he gave up, deciding to just try and crawl on all fours, hands and feet, like he normally would do. This mode of movement was more sucessful, but all the more... interesting.... to see.

Soon after he'd finally figured out how to move around somewhat sucesfully, the unnatural darkness followed by the nearby green mushroom cloud caught his attention. "Ooooh!" It was like a light show! He wasn't sure what the heck was going on, but whatever was happening seemed cool! Well, until of course the skeletons started lurching out of the woods with rusted swords and clubs. For some reason or another, he felt like he really wanted to fight them... Normally he'd just run away, but he was bigger now! He was huge! He could take on the skeletons, right?

After a quick descision that yes, he could definitely take on the skeletons, the Dwarf ran forwards. Err... Crawled forwards? Kind of like an inverted crabwalk maybe? He somethinged towards the enemy! Very slowly.

Foebacca's vison changed. Apparently he had a type of nightvision. His eyes went to the green glow, the villagers no longer threatening the beautiful healer lady who he knew to be Chiasa, he now focused on the booming and the green bolt of energy heading towards the party. "Behind me. Pretty lady keep us alive. Little men... bite ankles or something." He hadn't quite figgured out who they were yet. " Archer and skimpy clad lady take out the deathlord. I will try to keep some of the dead occupied." With that he braced for the impact of thegreen bolt after putting himself between it and Chiasa.

Chiasa was not sure how she felt about skeletons. I mean, she was definitely not in favour of swords or various other weaponry being weilded at her by anyone, but skeletons? She'd never understood the threat to be honest. They had no muscles. They had no anything really. If you saw a shriveled 90 year old woman advancing towards you would your first instinct be ooo spooky, so much threat? No, probably not. Plus couldn't you just chop or rip off their arms? What were they going to do? Headbutt you? A skeleton couldn't weigh enough to do any serious damage surely. Whatever, it was probably magic. Snarky-voice would probably snap at her if she sneered at them.

The yelling guy was a bit creepy though. He was like.. a reverse skeleton? Part of a skull ripped off revealing gross creepy flesh? She didn't know how that worked either, and was not exactly keen to find out, content to step behind [member="Foebacca"]. Keep them alive? Oh right. Spells or something. Rolling her eyes, she opened the book and started to do some truly last minute studying. She was distracted however, by a small squat something lumping it's way towards the skeletons in a bizarre but determined fashion.

"Uh, are we missing anyone?"

She asked the party at large, nodding towards the form of [member="Robbi"] as he crawled, crabbed, wormed and occasionally rolled his way towards the enemy.

Asteria jumped at the thunder, and all thought of laughing left her as she saw the necromancer and his army of undead skeleton warriors. She unsheathed her knife sword and got in a ready stance.

"I'm with dragon face here, we should hold off the back and you guys run ahead or something."

Asteria wasn't good at plans, but at least it was an idea.

Dak could care less about all of this abracapocus magic stuff. She had a giant two-handed sword and she wasn't afraid to use it! She let out a howling battle cry which sounded like "YARRRGGGG!" and charged toward the skeletons, cutting through them left and right with warrior moves she'd never used before. Rib cages broke apart and the rattle of bones sounded around her as she raised her sword over her head and jammed it into the mouth of a skull, pile driving it into a pile of bones.

Wilhelm the Dragon screeched and swooped down upon the next row of skeletons, twenty in all and breathed his baby dragon fire all over them. The burning bones made the village smell vaguely like a backyard BBQ.

Dak laughed and Wilhelm took a perch on her bare shoulder. "Ouch," she said, wincing at the dragon claws. "This is another reason this armor bathing suit doesn't make sense," she muttered to herself. She and Wilhelm surveyed the damage. They had single-handedly eliminated at least twenty-five of the skeletons.

Dak struck her sword into the ground and shouted triumphantly: "Kneel before your Warrior Queen you dirty bag of bones! You may call me Briana Von Dragonskank!"

At the sound of the explosion Keira's hand instinctively dropped to where her lightsaber would have typically been at her side, but instead found a dagger sheathed there instead. That would take some getting used to. Also on her person were a number of what she assumed to be throwing knives, weaponry she had little experience with aside from wielding her saber in a similar fashion every now and again when the situation called for it. Of course, that was when she had the Force to assist her, and that was a variable she wasn't entirely certain of just now. It remained to be seen just how effective that strategy would be against their newest adversary.

When the...well, she wasn't exactly sure what the correct term was, but when the shortest of their party spoke up, she determined in short order that it was likely Cryax. With that she'd identified all of the Ravens that she knew personally. Not much could be said for the few strangers of the group, but they hadn't tried to kill anyone yet, and that was more than could be said for the so-called Wizard Council that was responsible for their being here in the first place. But the group of robed men wasn't present, and so her focus shifted to the next priority: the small group of what she assumed to be the undead steadily shambling towards them in some state of organization.

Taking another stock of all viable weapons present, she found a short sword strapped across her back, and after having drawn the weapon, found that it was unsurprisingly heavier in hand than the lightsaber she was used to. It would take some adaptation, but she could make it work. Spinning it once in her hand to get a feel for the balance she once again regarded the skeletons, blinking as a number of them were decimated before she could accomplish anything edgewise. Maybe she wouldn't need to be of assistance.

"Cryax, I hate to say it, but you might want a lift out of here. I don't think you'll be moving anywhere all that fast." She wasn't intending to necessarily come across as rude, but sugarcoating things had never been her best talent. It was always better to be straightforward with people. "And I don't think we've made enough friends for you to walk safely just yet."

Cryax had never seen anything like it. First he lost his beautiful blue skin, and now fething skeletons were rising up through the earth? This was all too much insanity for one Chiss to take.

When Keira, or the horned creature that sounded like her, suggested that he might need a lift, he rolled his eyes and raised his bearded face to shoot her an irritated glare. "I don't need a piggyback ride," he scoffed. "For Force's sake, I'm short. Not disabled."

The being controlling the skeletons looked to be some sort of Sith Lord. The enemy Sith then surrounded himself with a miasma of green Force energy and shouted a battle cry in...was that Huttese? Oh well, the tree-root-weapon-thing worked before, maybe it would work again? At this point Cryax wasn't feeling too creative. Letting out a grunt, he swung his wizard's staff through the air with his tiny arm, and with a dramatic flourish, aimed it at a row of skeletons.

"Take that, corpse-breath!" he shouted in his squeaky gnome voice as the spell flowed forth from his mighty staff.

Skeletons flew left and right from the combined might of Dragonskank and her pet dragon Wilhelm, bones littered the ground and half of the enemies force lay in shambles. Things were looking good and the necromancer would soon surly be doomed to fall at the not so just hands of the Red Ravens. The warriors held the tide successfully and the little dwarf man had taken out a few skeletons by crushing their feet and shins in a most mighty crab walk.

And the wizard [member="Cryax Bane"] leveled his wooden staff and with an effort of will and power Cryax found himself yelling a word he did not know as he flung unseen force through the air.

"FORZARE!!" He yelled and a unseen kinetic force push simply exploded a line of ten skeletons sending their bones and weapons scattered everywhere. The necromancer was down to ten skeletons and the ravens were kicking ass and taking names.

The Necromancer hissed and watched his skeletons be destroyed one by one leaving him with only ten, but rather than run or unleash his soul taking power he simply began to laugh a laugh that sounded like nails on a chalkboard. It was a simply unearthly sound that would haunt the nightmares of children and take years to forget. He watched his skeletons bones and instead of seeing his army in disarray he saw a canvas in which to pain his enemies doom.

Clapping his hands together that green energy swelled and went positively crazy as power hummed in the air. Raising his hands like a puppeteer the bones began to shift through the air and even the current skeletons were swept up into the hurricane of clattering bones. The sky blackened and thunder cracked, and soon the tornado began to form something as bones linked and molded together.

The necromancer let out a howl of power and screamed a hearty battle cry.
tumblr_mfuwpwOKQY1rz38mwo10_r1_500.gif

"MALITUS!!" He screamed at the top of his lungs and in the blink of an eye only robes were left on the ground as if he were Obiwan being struck down by Vader.

The bone tornado shifted over to the robes and it settled, what stepped out was something nightmarish. A large black boned green eyed dragon roared without any vocal chords and green fire spewed from it's mouth directed at the adventures and the crab crawling dwarf.

Karking chitsuckers knew nothing of tactics. Attacking head on with no coordination only opened yourself up for pain. Thise skeletons weren't much of a challenge but maybe this wasn't supposed to kill them. If this necromancer could be put down as easy..hell the council 8s gonna be a joke. Guess the Ravens were gonna just wing it. Foebacca headed towards the big karking undead dragon in a dead sprint. As he got closer he jumped and grabbed ahold of the dragon's knee where he started bashing at it with hammer fists. Chips of bone flew off the jount as fist after fist rained down soon there would be nothing left of the joint but splinters and dust.

Robbi was amazing himself with how well he was doing. This wasn't that hard! Why did humans bother walking on two legs when this was so much easier? The skeletons didn't really seem to know what to do with him. And in the half moment's pause it took for them to wonder how to go about killing a crabwalking bearded Dwarf Robbi had run through them like a very small volkswagon. It seemed like only a minute of bones clattering before he heard the strange guy that had been standing not far away yell out some strange word... Where they getting more things to fight? This was fun!

It seemed Robbi's wish cam true: the bones shifted and changed, flying together like something out of a dream until a massive monster stood before them, spitting green fire and roaring somehow. "Cool!" The Dwarf wasn't very fast on his... limbs... but he didn't waste much time in charging... sort of... forwards as the dragon appeared. A mixture of the joy of having such a 'large' body, and the warrior tendacies of his new body was turning him into quite the fighter for the time being. However it's difficult to be a fighter while... crabwalking. And crawling through the dragon's shin to knock him down like he id on the skeletons werne't working. Instead he wrapped his large brawny arms around the dragon's ankle.

Err, what was he doing? How was he supposed to fight the dragon clinging to his foot! Robbi stared at the giant bony ankle he was bear hugging for a moment, before shrugging his large shoulders and sinking his teeth into the dragon's shin. He chewed bones in dumpsters sometimes when h couldn't find anything to eat. This owuldn't be much different, right? It sure tasted funky though...

The Dungeon Master said:
"FORZARE!!"
Is that a Harry Dresden reference?

The crab walking dude was about to get roasted, she had no idea who he was, but even from afar and hairy there was something about the determined little idiot that tugged at long repressed and vehemently denied maternal instincts. Flipping through a few more pages she searched for something useful.

Bless water.. what's wrong with bottled water? Perfectly good as it is..
Comprehend languages.. Maybe they should just learn Basic...
Magic Stone WHAT. What.. Ooo, look at my magic pebble, this is stupid...
Eagles Splendour I have no idea what that is but might bear revisiting...

Shield of Faith!

This was.. This was not a very good spell book. It just had a picture of some guy waving his mace around (not that one) and a line around him that might be a shield. It had some other lines coming off it that might be like rays of light or something. Maybe she needed the Clericism for People With at Least Moderate Intelligence edition. Fine, whatever, this whole bloody thing was ridiculous.

She waved her mace in an exaggerated fashion as the fire started to spill out of the dragons mouth. Nothing seemed to be happening.

"FaaAAAaaiith!"

She intoned in a dramatic fashion.

Apparently idiocy was all that was required. A blinding flash of light grew and expanded to shield the party, the green flames breaking upon it. [member="Robbi"] and [member="Foebacca"] went unscorched, success.

The Necromancer dragon roared in pain as the Dragon Born warrior [member="Foebacca"] began to hammer it's shin hard with their mighty fists, he was doing some serious damage and cracked through the the first few inches of bones leaving a crater where a sizable part of bone was supposed to be. And what was better the cleric had shielded him from his fire and even though the spell had now worn off he was being attacked from multiple angles. The twenty meter long bone dragon let out another deafening roar and began to flap it's massive bone wings.

And even though every single aerodynamic law of physics said that a heap of bones couldn't fly, the dragon lifted itself into the air and took off up up and away into the dark clouds carrying the Dragonborn and the Dwarf warrior [member="Robbi"] with him.

With the bone dragon in the clouds it began to spin and barrel roll trying to shake off the two warriors who had clung to each of it's forward legs. Trying to finish them the dragon dipped down into a nose dive and screamed down green fire glowing in it's rib cage. And with a roar the dragon streaked past the village letting off a wave of green fire that set buildings aflame with ethereal fire. Pausing in the air it flapped it's wings again let out a shriek that sounded like a ring wraith and dove towards the adventuring party spraying more green fire as it dipped.

Cryax was delightfully stunned to find that his spell worked again. Being a wizard was kind of fun. Unfortunately the Force energy that burst from his tree branch had decimated a row of skeletons, but left the hooded Sith Lord, his face a misshapen rictus of death, still standing.

Suddenly the sky went dark, but it wasn't from the black of night. The adventurers were standing in the shadow of a gargantuan bone dragon's wings. Swooping down, the bone dragon carried off the large scaly alien and the tiny alien who looked human but might have been some sort of crab hybrid. The creature rose in the air with a defeaning roar, its wingspan blotting out the sun.

It was kind of cheesy to simply aim his tree branch again wasn't it? Cryax was starting to think that perhaps wizards were one trick ponies. The Chiss didn't want to simply spam the same move over and over again, so he decided to wing it and see what happened. He raised his staff in the air with his stubby arms and hollered at the sky.

"I call upon the power of the elements!" shouted the transformed Chiss, having no real clue where those words came from. "Wind! Thunder! Lighthing! Strike this foul beast down from the heavens!"

Cryax waited to see if his spell would have any effect, but the Chiss was doubtful. He was really flying by the seat of his pants here, much like the little crab-crawling dwarf in the bone dragon's talons.

As the darkness and the green mist started to spread towards the town, Jarven had to force his way through the teeming, panicked crowd. By the time he got clear of the crowd, the skeletons had been largely dispatched and had coalesced into a giant bone dragon form. The dragon had lifted into the air and was about to dive bomb the group! He unequipped his shield and sword and ran towards Patricia. He grabbed her up and set her down out of the dragon's path. Jarven then ran back towards the group, but he would not get there before the dragon if the dragon's progress was kept unimpeded.
