Rebellion Of Atrisia OOC

[member="Darth Vitium"]

I noticed, and, to be honest with you, I've done the same thing in the past; written something not thinking on how it could possibly be taken then later editing it, so I can understand.

Honestly, I agree with you. But, I do not think that the expectation of keeping people up to date on the big, story/plot/thread affecting events should fall to the people themselves. Personally, I think that the responsibility lies equally between the people and those that make/write the big events. Using the Force Storm as an example, though I am sure that I'm going to stick my foot in my mouth in the process, I do think that, along with people who are confused about what happened reaching out to ask question, the writers who stopped the Force Storm should have, in my mind, said something, just so, at the very least, there was a post for people to point at and say "Look, this's what has happened.", something that would clearly display, as I said, what has happened so as to prevent the spread of misinformation and its corruption into anger.

Anyway, I'm tired, running on fumes, struggling to put thoughts into words properly and honest to God scared of how many people were paying attention to my posts in this thread, so, I'm just going to go and rest up. As a final word, if, in any of my posts, I said something that ended up insulting someone in any fashion, please, please, please do let me know somehow so that I can extend the proper apologies.

Do we have any Paddies or Knights who are still left without an opponent? There's [member="Michael Sardun"] and [member="Aeron Kreelan"] who are on their own, but that's two Masters

And thus, Ostanes summons cthulu, and after seeing his beloved tea fields burn, abandons this mortal coil....

Have fun killing Cthulu folks! I'll be subbing a material for the hide left behind for us all to use as an 'event reward' type thing.

What exactly did I miss while at work the last um, 7 or so hours? I still haven't even gotten to post a second time yet.

Hi Dar'rak. [member="Deacon"] posted to you and is joining you to fight. Other than that, depending on where no Atrisia you want to go, there are different things going on.

I do believe you had already discussed with a potential fighting partner to duel with though, right?

Sorry if I missed anything. There is so much going on that it is hard to keep track at this point. :(

* catches up on ooc *

I've been presuming the Storm may still be around, but it ought to be very diminished if it's still there, since a ton of effort was put into thwarting it by several Master level chars over several quality posts, instead of it simply being handwaved away. But that's not my call to make, especially since I haven't been involved in it beyond Elpsis briefly giving Spencer a boost.

As for Vulcanus, I'm currently waiting for him to post. As of my last post, Elpsis is trying to drain him, but I can't determine the effect that'll have till I get a reply.

Misinformation is the word, Lykos. I really feel bad for Meph. Every time he gets a leash on something, someone else goes off the rails and starts spewing salt. Then groupthink turns that salt into 'truth,' received wisdom, even when it's got no resemblance to the facts. Far as I can tell, a ton of work has gone into countering the storm, far more than went into making it. As for the sacrifices, most of those were walked back almost immediately. Props to Nulgath and Praetorias for being the exceptions.

One little thing you did miss, Ajihad toppled part of a small building on you and Spencer to create a distraction for him to assassinate her.

No biggie, but I'd appreciate it if you incorporated that into your post somehow :)

The issue with force storms is that they're so incredibly powerful, and to even manipulate one puts you at risk of dark side corruption. A few force barriers (something that usually collapses after a few hits) is not going to decimate fleet destroying, planet eating wormholes, and any further involvement with directly manipulating the force storm itself would likely make the Jedi fall to the darkside as they're using it, but unfortunately I hear the Galactic Alliance imprisons anyone who uses the dark side -even accidentally-.

This removal of the storm is just an attempt to ruin the direction of the thread and is destroying the one constant of its narrative; that is the Jedi and allied forces slugging their way through almost impenetrable Sith defenses through sheer force of will in order to kill our supercharged leader and take down the force storm, which would pretty much enable you to take control of the planet. (bar Darth Vulcanis)

You, and every other Jedi I've encountered have been a pleasure to write with, and I know that if and when I lose the fight against you all its result was fair and that you'll continue on towards the threads conclusion, but if we allow this removal of the force storm with such minimal effort to occur, we've essentially lost the dominion and any resistance simply becomes mop up duty for the GA. Its also unrealistic, and none of the Jedi doing it appear to have taken any ill effects. Which all feels like rather poor form when we've thrown away so much to enable its creation.

Another point I'd like to make is that Spencer was at one point being boosted by another Jedi, but now is not. Yet still stands at the center of a 5000 degrees firestorm with no issue as the oxygen around her burns up and a building lands on top of her as it melts into lava. Even if she made yet another barrier it would likely have failed, and her lightsaber and any other metal she wore will have likely melted, but she's still fighting off the storm. Even if the barrier held, I'm sure her concentration must have been broken by now. If she's not dead, then she should be more burned than Anakin when he went slightly too close to 700 degrees lava. I'm not sure if all have followed all five plus masters plus force nexus that have been used to boost Spencer since day two. And they have been working on to show a gradual control and disbursement of said storm that has gone beyond what normal canon dictates a force storm works.

Plus the rules that no one is forced to kill off a character unless okayed by the writer.

There were also very heavy damages taken by the alliance and also tons of concessions made with no requested edits that would have normally been denied as board rulebreaking : because forcing death on many pcs via an unmanageable force storm makes it a super weapon in and of itself and against the rules. This thread would have been very different had the GA staff had not simply gone along with it with the spirit of the thread along with allowing the over extended use of minor and company fleet limits.

Spencer may not be boosted by me any more, but she is still being done so by others. Not to mention the other writers who are also manipulating the brimstone cyclone as well. There are MANY pieces of the puzzle in here at work. Not just Spencer it self. One has to read the entire acts of all the people helping her and around her to get the big picture.
