Just for the sake of clarification: Elpsis is not a Jedi. None of my chars are. She can't stand Jedi. Just hates Sith more. Alignment wise she's neutral, but probably closer to the dark side. Most of her friends and family members are dark-neutral. Her boss is a Dark Jedi Master. Yes, it's a strange family.
As for Force Storms, I agree that they're devastating. That's the key point: They're extremely volatile and difficult to control, even for the person who summoned them. My understanding is that the person who summoned the storm would have to actively direct and control it. It would probably be as much a danger for the Sith as for the Jedi. I had Elpsis' fighter crash to reflect the fact that it would be a threat when she landed on the planet. Trying to banish it has been an ongoing process over several posts.
Could the storm have done more? Personally, I'd find it amusing if the Storm had gone out of control and both Jedi and Sith were in danger of being hit. Would make for a fun, apocalyptic setting, especially given all the Force crap that's being tossed around. Hell, given the staggering amount of deaths that took place over the course of the thread, Jar'kai ought to be a dark side nexus by now. That should make cleanup difficult if the Alliance wins the Rebellion.
I fully expect Elpsis to suffer some damage ere the thread is over. Be it because a number of people are shooting at her, or because she's trying to siphon a volcanic cyclone (I am not sure how that one was created). The Alliance also took plenty of damage when Cthulhu appeared in space.
