Rebellion Of Atrisia OOC

[member="Seria Ventreme"]

Just for the sake of clarification: Elpsis is not a Jedi. None of my chars are. She can't stand Jedi. Just hates Sith more. Alignment wise she's neutral, but probably closer to the dark side. Most of her friends and family members are dark-neutral. Her boss is a Dark Jedi Master. Yes, it's a strange family. :D

As for Force Storms, I agree that they're devastating. That's the key point: They're extremely volatile and difficult to control, even for the person who summoned them. My understanding is that the person who summoned the storm would have to actively direct and control it. It would probably be as much a danger for the Sith as for the Jedi. I had Elpsis' fighter crash to reflect the fact that it would be a threat when she landed on the planet. Trying to banish it has been an ongoing process over several posts.

Could the storm have done more? Personally, I'd find it amusing if the Storm had gone out of control and both Jedi and Sith were in danger of being hit. Would make for a fun, apocalyptic setting, especially given all the Force crap that's being tossed around. Hell, given the staggering amount of deaths that took place over the course of the thread, Jar'kai ought to be a dark side nexus by now. That should make cleanup difficult if the Alliance wins the Rebellion.

I fully expect Elpsis to suffer some damage ere the thread is over. Be it because a number of people are shooting at her, or because she's trying to siphon a volcanic cyclone (I am not sure how that one was created). The Alliance also took plenty of damage when Cthulhu appeared in space.

Had a good time dancing. Wish you guys were still alive - would have been fun rivalries. Good writing, great story - now I gotta figure out how to cough up some ash ;)

If you want to retreat from the thread then that's alright, nobody can Force you into staying (pun, not a typo) but I hope you'll do a post describing how Rapax leaves to let everyone know in the area you're out, otherwise it would be a very bad form.

It would leave those like me who try to wait for everyone involved to have a chance to post hanging in a sort of limbo waiting for a reply from you that would never come, plus the whole challenge of writing PvP is dealing with what people throw at you, sometimes you can deal with it through preparation, like mastering Force abilities or for example HK making himself a Phrik body to face off lightsabers with devices that make him immune to Ion attacks that people like to throw at him, or through improvisation, which in my opinion is the more exciting of the two, trying to set up traps over multiple posts, using the environment to your advantage, taking the resources they have an using them in an unorthodox way to surprise your opponent. But in the end our PvP system comes down to egoistical philosophy debate about possibilities.

[member="Darth Lykos"],

I agree with Lykos in that things were moving way too quickly for everyone to catch up with everything and there was a lot of more or less vital information that went under the radar as a result. That's how things started to spin out of control in the first place, when the Alliance was first coming in Sith were posting about a fleet in their system, without clearly listing their total numbers, what ships they had, links to them, etc., so we overestimated their numbers thinking they were preparing for some sort of second surprise attack on Coruscant like the One Sith did, fleets were mustered, allies were called. We came in with 20,000 meters of ship against their 2,000-4,000 meters. If things were slower or clearer from the start, we wouldn't do that because, well it kinda doesn't really make sense ICly, at least for me.

But the problem is, I think, that no one expected this thread to turn the way it did, so we didn't really prepared for anything special to keep track of the events because they thought that at most this will turn into some fleeting and then a bunch of duels and we'll be back home before Thanksgiving. Plus, to be honest, I don't think this is even the fastest moving thread we had, Invasions can get even crazier if it's two major factions going at each other, and even then it's usually up to each writer to read up on everything that is happening that would more or less affect them, for example in their area or planet wise, and at least mention their reaction to it in their post.

I think what we should start doing is, along with an OOC thread, have a Tracking Thread where whoever starts the thread for Invasion has one front post with areas listed and under each area a bulletpoint list of what took place there and then a global section for big things like appearance of a volcano ash cyclone or what is happening with the Storm.

And I helped! I fought off that black energy tentacle to protect Spency :p

[member="Seria Ventreme"],

While this is all good in canon, like Adele said we can't really have a world-ending planet-eating power that can't be fought back against without going against the board rules. I would also like to point out how each effort for and against the Storm was done, when it was conjured, it was Mephirium and the other Sith each writing out their part, it was all nice and good, but it was done in the spun of few hours, and sure they did die, but meanwhile me and other writers who were in the city, well we could have done something to stop it. But we didn't get the chance because by the time the writer I was waiting for to post got replied it was all over and the Storm was summoned.

Meanwhile when Spencer was fighting off the storm with support of others, either by power being channeled into her or her being protected, it was done over multiple days, the Sith were given a chance to try and stop her again and again, she even has to face off a volcano elemental ash thing to do it.

But like I said, it's not over until it's over so no reason for anyone to give up, at the end of the day we're all here for the stories.

Context time. In the 'Return of the King' thread, the one that comes right before this and sparked it, the Sith were writing massive fleets. I know at least one had a 2,000m flagship, others had ships at or over 1km, and Sith people were writing it as a fleet to make the GA weep. That got backpedaled, split up, evacuated, etc. when this dominion launched, but the GA had every reason to believe they were bringing in a fair amount of ships, even yielding the initial advantage.

The last bit of energy from her absorbed tutaminis was blasted towards it, hopefully to pop it and make smaller fire tornadoes? I dunno, but a clarification as to what happened to it would be nice. Kind of blindly going along with things. Currently dealing with an assassin so if you will, drain the living heck out of it :D

Honestly this is pretty much what it feels like to be a droid fighting alongside Force-users in this thread and on the board in general :p (Little warning, they drop the S bomb near the end)

I feel this too, and I'm a master.

Hi Dar'rak. [member="Deacon"] posted to you and is joining you to fight. Other than that, depending on where no Atrisia you want to go, there are different things going on.

I do believe you had already discussed with a potential fighting partner to duel with though, right?
This is true, and I feel bad enough for making them wait so long for a reply from me. Though with the planet basically falling apart around me due to the chaos, I was hoping to know what 'environmental' was happening near the palace where I crashed thanks to a combination of the still raging storm and something that blew out my engine after entering the atmosphere. Could have been a Sith ship, could have been Mr. Volcano I left it open as I have no idea what is going on. It seems like the flow of this topic somewhere others are feeling the same way.

I almost don't want to read the topic after reading this one because I am afraid that there is going to be another 10 pages of, "What the fudge did I miss now". I think the last page I was on was around 19, and there is something like 26 pages now? I have to get ready for work soon and leave for another 8 hour or so shift before returning and getting to try and catch up once more.

@Dar'rak

No worries. We have been writing up summaries based on the location you would like to be in. I believe your opponent already posted. You can simply insert yourself as weathering the remnants of the storm while heading to the palace to land and get your boots wet.

Any other help feel free to ask.

Things around you guys are pretty tame from what I can understand when compared to the outskirts of the city where most of the fighting now takes place.

The ash monster from the volcano moved out there to the outskirts, but the two of you would probably get some ash fallout as well, there's also fighting between Sith + Trandoschan forces against Mandalorians and some of the GA so you could probably mention that as well.

Plus there's also the Schrodinger's Force Storm that may or may not be calming down, so pretty much describe that as you would like or ignore it until we have a set consensus as to what's going on with it :p

[member="Darth Ferox"] Oh no, you are not getting off so easily my friend. If you still want to I am down for conflict.

[member="HK-36"] Yeah I vaguely remember a post saying the ash was sweeping through streets and alike, but was not sure if that was near / at the palace or on the outskirts somewhere near where it started. Dar'rak had landed prior to me reading that, so did not want to simply bypass it entirely.

[member='Deacon'] If you are still around I will try and do a quick post search so I am not ignoring you either. I do apologies for the major delay in my posting.

Oh, that's weird. Didn't get this tag. Only saw it while scrolling through the OOC.

I am currently with another Master, [member="Aeron Kreelan"], so I am unsure if it would be very fair to you honestly.
