"You are correct I fear letting go"

There is no victory in admitting a fear, "I don't know what to do Connor Harrison." she gave a nervous laugh. "if we are detached then we cannot be hurt, and if we act as if we don't care no one sees how much we really do." If anything she understood this and it pained her to admit it.

"I'm sorry that you have been in hurt Connor" She was beginning to think they could be friends...........maybe.

"Don’t be sorry for me. You don’t even know me and I assure you it’s not worth it.”

He stepped back again and nodded towards the main door to the large cell.

"Have you thought about what you want to happen to you? People are going to start asking questions if you’re missing for a long time, am I right?”

She shook her head, "Dessert Connor it's ok if someone feels sympathy for you. I don't have to know you to know hurt I can be sorry for it. And yes someone will begin to, Izumi she's lost too many recently if she loses me after losing Ren she'll be beside herself. So I have to decide something, one thing for certain I have to return to Hyogo even if I denounce my Sith ways I must go home and face whatever happens"

She contemplated where she was and her surroundings, "Can you tell me more of these Jedi who use dark arts and yet are considered Jedi? Would it be hard to be one of them?"

If she could be herself be something more than what she was at this very moment then all of this twisting of her emotions within could stop, and perhaps she could emerge stronger because of it.

Connor held his finger up to her – signalling to give him a minute – and he walked to the Ranger station in the middle of the room, the main control bank for the cell which was currently un-manned. He leaned over and activated a channel to the main Temple hub and spoke into it, relying a message to get transport for the Sith and an escort once she was allowed to leave.

He returned, a small smile.

"Forgive me. I don’t turn away sympathy, but I don’t respond well to it as I don’t like to let anyone in close enough to feel that way. I know it’s human instinct to pity those in positions lower than our own, but I don’t need it. It’s just another…it’s just something that gets in the way.”

He avoided saying “weakness”.

"I don’t favour Dark Jedi on our turf, but I know we have them. They are the ones who fight for the good of the galaxy usually against the Sith and others, but they don’t stand tall with the Jedi and openly disagree with their views and ethics. They are almost a law unto their own code. I don’t trust them. I myself am one of the few we call Rogues. I fight for the Order of the Light, and the Jedi, but I don’t play by the rules. I fight dirty against dirty opponents, but I stand with the Jedi, not above them and I am united in the same goal as they.”

"The word is weakness. I'm sith trained Connor, I know all about purging weaknesses, not admitting to weaknesses, and never ever showing one." She didn't smile. Sith weren't allowed weaknesses and if they had them you had best not let anyone see it.

"If I am hearing you correctly you may think of Dark Jedi as just another form of Sith. Ok. Since I do not understand what they are I will assume I am correct on my assumption" She looked down she had to think since she had admitted to her fear of letting go she would admit this as well. "I don't know that I am good enough to be of the light. How would I go about doing that?" if she were going to push away the Sith teachings then she did not want to have anything to do with anything that looked like a Sith it would be too easy a point to be exploited.

Finding her weaknesses would also be too easy and now one person, just then her cobalt blue eyes rested on Connor, one person knew it.

He didn’t give much emotion through his facial expression, but it was clear he was listening and appreciating her words.

"You return to your home, you close that chapter and do what you need to do, and then return to Sanctum space. We will bring you here and see if we can help you find your way. If you find a true calling, you would be a true Jedi, renouncing the Dark Side and fighting for the Light and the good in all. But,” he smirked, "I somehow foresee you’d be a Rogue with the best of us. Only you can decide what side you wish to stand on.”

She was afraid and if he didn't see it he had to know it.

"I think you understand and since you know my fear as I prepare to do this, will you accept correspondence from me to help, reinforce, assist, me through changes. Cause I am afraid. I guess what I am asking is..........." she felt rather idiotic a grown woman saying this, "be my friend?"

He couldn’t help chuckle, but he didn’t mean to. It was partly that he was expecting it, but also he was a little touched.

”You don’t ask for friendship, Arabella. It just forms. I think we have a mutual understanding and I wouldn’t want to confirm a friendship until you know your path forward. It would be rather unfortunate if two friends were forced to try and kill one another and the other’s ideals in a conflict, wouldn’t you say.”

Harsh, but true. Just like he preferred.

"But if you come here again looking for a way forward, then yes, I will consider being your friend and will help you. How’s that for a deal.”

She smiled, "scary actually."

She had let her last friendship form, she had gone to the Tenno's palace looking to replace his woman and steal the Tenno's ear to protect her house. instead she ended up her protector and confident, she hadn't been able to protect Ren from herself. and her desires. As many times as she had tried to tell Ren to stay away from the Axe to stay away from the Blade, and to find a way to go home to leave Mythos she wouldn't, or couldn't Bella never really knew.

And now Ren was gone.

Perhaps it was best that they not be friends look what happens when they don't listen to half way descent advice.

"You're right Connor."

With a smile, and a reassuring wink, Connor backed away.

"I always am. I'll see that they come and make a decision either way how long you are to be here, but I'll tell them I feel you should go home. You pose no thread to us. To yourself? I'm not sure. Only you can decide that.”

He walked to the wide stairs and took them slowly, opened the door and looked back at the cell and Arabella on her own.

"Trust in the Force, as an old friend used to say to me. Trust, and I am sure will meet again, Miss Darkhold.”

A final small, reassuring smile, and Connor left the cell to initiate her next steps forward
