Dev Shadows of Atrisia

[Junko Ike]

Junko interest was raised but she was seeing... a lot of scans. Miyoung looking at it with her as she spoke. "It looks like when the moon was rebuilt they used debris from the battle here as well as the temple. Those are Imperial ship markings and sections... looks like it might have been whole areas which could mean." She tapped it. "There could be an entire armory in there... walkers, ships, weapons.... You could gain the supplies for a small army and some of that military hardware was designed to function for a long time. If it was preserved it could have been done... or it could be a weapons lab with some of the destructive weapons they designed... prototypes and designs."

Junko looked at Miyoung and if that was a possibility... then prototype weapons could mean bio or even superweapons.. they could have been doing the work for a terrorist group and they were looking to dispose of bodies. "Then we should hurry, if there is a danger of something there Ahri is already in the middle of it. I don't think she would give them anything unless they were threatening her team... but I am not certain how many she had with her. We only found three bodies and that vessel was made to hold twenty on a good team." There were nods as they were moving out. Barca taking the lead and Miyoung working to try and tap into the systems of the ships just in case.

THey kept going, deeper and deeper following markers now that they had the signal until the warped section of temple changed into ship hull. Then Junko was looking at it and motioned for Qi to come with her while she closed her eyes. "Help me, reach out with the force and expand your senses." The padawan said it with a nod of her head for Junko as they were searching... allowing the force to breathe around them and pulsate attuned to everything. The feeling of the temple was there and they could feel others... the Kanzer who had come back here to overtake it. Dark and dangerous as they worshipped what was in the rift and darkness of the unknown regions.

"Focus." THey would do no good against something like that if they attracted their attention. THe Kanzer would likely come anyways... whoever had set this up wanted to take this from under their noses after all that was why they had Ahri do it. Insatiable thirst for knowledge mixed with a drive to discover things long lost... worth it in many cases and Qi nodded as Junko felt it. The sections of ship had been brought together and condensed which was why it felt off and she could feel Ahri who seemed to feel her. Familiar warmth but she was lost in that twisted maze of hulls and tunnels in an older hanger full of ships. "I sense her master."

Junko nodded, she could feel her as well in that mass of ship corridors and rooms. The older hangers were twisted but thankfully... no dread or coldness just the sense of a whole lot of confusion. "I think running in there was a mistake.. she didn't know what it was completely like." SHe said it and coming out of the meditation was looking around. "If whoever they were hired by chased them down this far and into the ships after they unsealed it." She was looking at it and if Ahri was in there.. they would find her. SHe might be in danger but she might also be able to use it to her advantage like she was to get away and stay away from a threat."

"Unless they chased her in there and sabotaged it to let her starve. Between the temperature, likely limited supplies she would have presented and water. THey might think her and her team need to head back to their ship daily." Barca said it as she was scanning and had her rifle at the ready. "A few of us know the technology... most don't and those food compartments in the belt look like they would just hold a handful of rations so a weeks worth of cubes, if you stretch them out with limited water in the canteen. Smart move would be to starve the person out... retrieve what you have been looking for over their corpses. THey have waited this long what is another week or two."

Junko looked over at the mandalorian and nodded... it was bad when she made a dark sense... It would be practical and less resource intensive to just let a group starve to death in the tunnels and they could collect afterwards. No need to waste manpower searching or effort trying to get them... just needed to make it so they couldn't leave by locking and sabotaging their ship. Phaidor must have been thinking the saame thing. "Never helpful or good when you are talking sense... I much prefer the Barca hitting on every female around her." She got a snort but there was nothing wrong with it. "It happens from time to time... Warriors like the mandalorians and Atrisians I doubt would do it but not as many cultures are as evolved."

THat got a laugh from all of them when they pressed forward and into the maze of starship hulls... this deep down the only light being their own and the makie droids that were appearing. "Good thing nightvision is standard on these interfaces." Phaidor said it and they were able to enclose their face in case of problems but also with the hoods of their cloaks and armor create a secure channel. Something that would allow them to communicate without disturbing and alerting. THeir footfalls becoming much much more silent when they moved in a line checking out. "THe nightvision is good but better is the links to the aruni and makie sensors."

Junko had raised her hood and enclosed her face with the ablative mask. FIltering the air as well as the sounds as her interface went over her eyes. GIving her a better looking mask. "It helps, we have a lot to do still and this is only going to be the easy part." She said it and Phaidor looked at her. "THis was easy, we are hundreds of levels down in the depths of a temple the size of a moon with a dangerous cult that if alerted to us will violate us, eat us and kill us... hopefully not in that order." Junko looked at her and nodded. "True they could do that and we have unknown employers, Ahri at risk and in trouble.... again but... we are all together and unified we are much stronger."

She didn't go into it, PHaidor knew much of the Atrisian sayings and four strands of rope together always became stronger. Barca didn't look just going towards the corners. "We are a fireteam, we got this and playing it smart is key. Securing an exit, fortifying the pathway will be a good first step as well as not making more known then it has to be. IF we were just going in guns blazing there would likely become a lot of problems... as it is infiltration and extraction... much safer and we just have the risk who these mystery employers. If they are monitoring the situation then they know we are here and likely going to try and ambush us which is a mistake... or they are going to hope we just take Ahri and not notice whatever she might have found."

Junko gave a nod of understanding to that... if they took Ahri and didn't know what she might have discovered then well some things might happen... but it was Ahri there was no doubt she had discovered what was down there... that she was evading them most likely was proof of them. JUnko moved through the hallways when Barca went to a door. "Leads to another lift and the beacon is stronger down there." THey were looking around and it would be easy to seal this area off while they moved and worked on it. Setting up two of the portable turrets and the drones to monitor. MOre drones incoming as their systems for the armor were working. Miyoung building a model for them as the other scout drones were converging.

"I have the drones moving in and providing alternative pathways that we will be able to use, if we navigate it correctly we should be able to get out if someone tries to block us in." JUnko nodded to that and Phaidor jumped to the other side of the lift as she was looking up. "It looks like it goes up one level." She climbed it and was anchoring their back up lines while opening the doors. "It looks like and emergency stash for Ahri... like back up supplies should something bad happen." SHe had a smirk in her voice. "It has been accessed. Some of the drones are gone and being rebuilt to replace them." SHe saaid it and anchoring next to Ahri's lines she activated the other drones.

Additional drones were never a bad thing as Junko coordinated them, to secure the area and set up a fallback location at the top. With shield gates covering the entrances as well as sensor masks. WIth Miyoungs data feed and map... Barca's scouting and Qi pack of ablative strips they were able to use them properly. "We have most of this area secured and reports from the other checkpoints that they have begun fortifications and security procedures." Which meant guardian scythe turrets on the walls and more barricades. Plus spreading out using the mapping drones to create additional routes where it could be done.

"Good work." SHe said it while reaching out to try and sense Ahri.. or anyone down there and it wasn't easy.. she could just barely brush the mind of another before they were going back to trying to hide. She looked at they started to head down the lift shaft and started reproduction procedures for the drones. THey would be able to find a place and convert some of the matter to make more of themselves and supplies. A small amount and it wasn't to damage the structure. With the debris they had plenty of space and things to do which would make it easier to secure... and with the protocol in place repair drones would be the second phase. THey would reinforce the pathway for them.

Junko let her senses expand outwards and there was more... the Kanzar and other things here on the moon were not aware of them yet.... that small window before they stumbled across the signs that people were here... in the lower levels or in the hanger was a brief window that was getting smaller. THey needed to be quick but they couldn't rush and make a mistake that would alert to their presence. INstead she was thinking about some more of it and had a grin on her face when they opened one of the doors and that sound of a starship was there if even for a moment. The shwoop of them sliding in and out. The mouse droids on the ground and this far down... still polished floors.

"It looks preserved." Miyoung said it next to her and she was pulling up the map as. "IT looks like standard imperial layout in terms of position. If they combined several of them it will be difficult but not impossible." She was moving and Barca came through as she was pointing. "The droids seem to be cleaning the floors more that way." As she was pointing. "If AHri and her group came through here... the droids would be cleaning up after them... good for us and bad for them as it could mean anyway they go the droids will alert to their path unless they hacked them." he got a look and nod while heading out with her rifle at the ready. Miyoung and Qi with their pistols and blades and Junko in the center of them.

The parties movement forward was important in many more cases.. they were following the trail of droids that were working to clean around them and Junko's senses expanded out. She could feel her handmaidens but she could also feel Ahri was down here... with others but she couldn't sense her completely. Just her presence but it meant she was alive as Barca pried open one of the doors Junko was indicating. The sounds of the metal scraping on the floor as Miyoung spoke. "THere are older scuff marks that the droids were cleaning up... not perfectly but we will be able to follow their trail enough for now."

The door opened and Barca peered in with her rifle as someone charged her... a piece of metal acting like a club. Striking the rifle didn't do much and Barca raised her hand to grab the woman. "Barca don't." Junko moved forward and looked at her. "Su." THe smaller researcher was being held up by Barca who was looking at her. The researcher looking. "Princess." She seemed happy and going inside of the room Junko was able to see two others there around Ahri who was propped up in a corner. "Ahri." Junko looked at her and moved as her eyes were going around... nothing else in the room but the lead researcher was there as Barca was closing the door behind them and setting alert drones.

Junko moved and she crouched down to her knees as she was next to the woman and there was blood on her shoulder and neck. "AAhri." She felt something hitch in her throat and couldn't say much more as the woman opened her eyes and looked at her. "JUnko..." Her hand came up and she grasped her fingers putting her hand in her. "What happened?" She said it while looking at her and the bacta patch was there. "We got a job.... we came down here and found.... we found." She groaned and was in pain as Su-Young looked at her. "We found cryotubes filled with darktroopers." Junko heard the word and she felt a chill as darktroopers were dangerous against anything.

"What generation?" She said it and looking at them. "It looked like third... their armor readouts were weaved with beskaar and built in flight systems but they seemed to be droids largely." Which was dangerous. "Was there anything else?" She wondered it. "Yeah, the armory was filled with their suits for soldiers... it was an invasion force likely from Mandalore." JUnko nodded while looking at them. "We found your ship, they sabotaged it and I am sorry, the oxygen systems were gone." There wa sa nod. "DId they get everything?" Su-Young looked at her. "Not everything we managed to seal the hanger and armory but they shot Ahri and Mei was taken."

JUnko looked at Ahri who was feverish from the attack. "Medical equipment?" She asked it looking at the woman. "In her pack which was in our forward encampment. First place that they struck. We were preparing food and showering." Su-Young looked at her and was starring down at the floor almost in shame. JUnko realizing what she likely sounded like brought her hand out and touched her shoulder. "It is okay Su-Young." Luckily there was a jedi here with them and Barca knew a little of being a combat medic for the field. "Miyoung... we need some more bacta." She was looking at Ahri as Miyoung was coming over with her pack.

"Qi, make sure they have food and Barca we need to find Mei." She said it as she rose up though and looked around the room that they were in. Linking their interfaces she was able to get their maps and overlay them to see where their forward camp was for exploring and searching. As well as the armory and hanger that they had managed to seal. "Now where would you take her." SHe had to work on the assumption that Mei was alive... it was important but she was checking on some of it. "Phaidor, Sun please tell me something good?" SHe said it and breathed in and then outwards to center herself where she was looking.

"That might depend on your definitioon of good news." Sun's voice came over the comlink aand JUnko looked over at the others. "Ahri's hurt... we don't joke right now." She said it and the mood changed... she could feel it as Phaidors voice came. "Sun managed to trace back the accounts to an account for a moff from the sith. One of the smaller ones that tried to overtake the One Sith specifically after he broke away." There was a look and they didn't need to say the name... all knew who he was in reference to in most cases when it came to sith, imperials and Atrisian involvement. JUnko didn't like getting angry but felt her fist clench. "You are certain?"

"Yes, it looks like Syuri had its intended effect, the ones who stayed loyal to him stayed away. Either going to Kiliea or in this case they seem to have tried to pull what credits they could to get someone to find them an armory. Lots of possible search locations but they were hiring Atrisian search parties. We did some references and there is a pattern as some groups have disappeared at sites we are guessing had equipment to try and wage a war or at least make a better last stand." Junko was thinking about it and what they would be able to do ith this information... it didn't sound like they had enough yet. "Send the information priority channel to my mother and the emperor so they can prepare and start their own investigation."

There was confirmation chirps. "Done, we are sending all of our information.... from what I can find they have no backing on Atrisia itself... none of their companies have been able to file for offworld permits due to investigators." Sun was good and she would find it in many ways... she could look for just about anything that would tie to them and she knew that Junko might joke and flirt... a friend being hurt like this... was no laughing matter and she was responding properly. "There is more." Phaidor was speaking with something in her voice and she didn't wait as Junko's silence for her to continue should have been enough.

"Based on what information we are finding, they went for different eras but specifically targeted teams that were led by lords and ladies that could be considered rivals.... or were working to redeem their family names. Likely a grudge if we dig further there." Junko nodded to herself while she was standing there. "Look into it, if we can unmask them then we can figure out one part of it... then the other part will be easier as well." She had a feeling it wouldn't be but so far they liked being in the shadows, they liked striking those unaware and AHri messaging her that something was off likely hadn't factored in. "ANd be careful they aren't attacking outright yet but they are likely not going to like being exposed."

"Understood princess." There was nods among them all even over the headsets. The jedi princess finishing up there as Barca came back with the map from the room that had been taken and where the armory was. "Can any of the equipment be used?" She looked at the tall mandalorian and there was a nod. "Yeah a lot is preserved and could be used. Mostly weapons and armor but also several hundred troopers.. all droids if the read outs are what is there. Even if only a handful are operational fully that could be a strong force." She said it and seemed to have a sneer in her voice. The troopers were built off of beskar and destruction of mandalore.

"Well, see if Miyoung and you can sabotage them... best case scenario we can retrieve and deny it to our apparent enemies... worse case scenario we blow it all up and disable all of it." She said it and looked at Barca as Qi went over to take Miyoungs place and she was joining Barca... who radiated excitement. "We can do that, it will be a shame to slag all of that beskar. just returning it would be well worth it but if we can piss off some shady nobles... or ex nobles I guess really. I say we do it." She said it and JUnko was going with her as they would do what they could. She went back to Ahri while Qi was working on the healing processes.

Junko looked at Ahri as she was kneeling next to her and using her healing with the force. The infection was going away slowly but it had spread throughout her body... whatever they were planning this had gotten personal as the only one allowed to hurt her friends was her and that was done tastefully and playfully... not like this. "You really stepped in it didn't you, but at least you knew to message me when things got bad sweetie." She said it and brought her head to the womans as she could feel the sweat there and it was sticky and clammy. "We'll get you to medical on the ship." She looked at Qi and Su while speaking. "What do we have for transport?"

The two of them looked at each other. "Nothing much." Qi said it while she had been checking. "THey have the portable tank but that is meant to be stationary and can't compress it with a person inside of it. The shuttle would work but can't really move quickly blasting through floors will alert the kanzer. We have some metal plates, we could rig them up as a stretcher and transport her but it would be slower moving. Most of them are strong enough but to quickly move while carrying a person might be too much and Barca is going to need her hands free to fight and cover Miyoungs sabotage of the equipment."

She was thinking of the best way for them to take her back and stopped herself... she was rushing ahead... she had someone who was injured and for now wouldn't be safe to move... it would take some time for things to be properly sabotaged and Miyoung and Barca would be able to gunk up what was there to make sure no one used it. All of this would serve a purpose for them and she was looking more at what they could really accomplish in the short span. THey had secured a means to get to the ship and marked their path back.. they had drones and defensive biots securing said path and nothing hostile had been reported yet.

"Even if they somehow beat our sensors... my wardroid would still be able to report." Barca said it looking at her as if reading her mind in this situation. Her wardroid was a beast of a mount and they would have heard if someone was attacking it so again there was promise. JUnko breathed while looking at her and the larger woman knelt near her placing a hand on her back. "You got to keep the level head... like you always tell me princess. If they were hoping for them to starve so they could come in... they failed. If they were preparing to mount an attack or hunt them down... we are here now and they have failed."

Junko looked at Barca and she was confident in her plan and actions she would always have to give her that. Few could really deny the kills despite what most thought of her... well Junko had fought her in battle first and foremost so she was certain about her talents. It was just a matter of getting something that wasn't boring to the mandalorian. JUnko turned her attention to stay on Ahri as they shifted her to be able to lay down under covers. Despite the outfit being made for it she was shivering as JUnko drew the woman next to her and focused on the healing force energies. SHe remained there while doing it and the others would be able to set things up with the directions.

"THis is familiar." THere was a laugh to her voice and JUnko looked at her tapping her arm. "Shut up... accept my healing." She said it and there was a smile from Ahri who was there and still covered in sweat. THe anti septic smell of cleaning the wounds was also there. Qi moving a little to let them rest as she joined the others to coordinate a plan. A few hours later JUnko work up while Ahri stirred and had moved onto a position so she was fully embraced by Junko. She could feel the force was working stronger in her now and revitalizing her body rather then just healing and combatting the poisons that were within it.

Junko shifted mostly so she could look around and pulled up her interface to look at the others and what they were doing. Barca was checking what equipment and weapons they had been using... it wasn't much but she managed to get the others with some weapons. Miyoung and Qi had made a sled they would be able to carry AHrei around with them and were using the makie drones to give it repulsors... a better feat since it would allow them to get it up the shafts. Ahri stirred more as she was there. "Thank you." Her fever had broken.,.. she was just covered in sweat and Junko looked at her offering a small smile. "IT is alright."

As she rose Barca came over. "PHaidor messaged us, they tracked the sources to another building and are investigating. The coordinates were sent to Sun and the ship in case something happens or they don't respond but looks like they might have found something. They haven't contacted us since going dark to infiltrate." Junko nodded and while she did worry there was time before they needed to risk checking or worrying about danger. JUnko stretched as she was helping Ahri get onto the stretcher that they had made and securing her to it so she wouldn't fall off if it got rocked she looked at Miyoung and Barca. "Is everythign else ready?"

"YEah it is, we have charges set with a reverse proximity sensor. ONce we get to a safe enough distance it will detonate and Miyoung suggested an anti tampering switch. If they do try and come in here when we leave. Once they try and disable or move anything it will detonate it. If they are just waiting for us to leave or try and attack us." THe large mandalorian had a grin on her face though as she was bringing her helmet up and enclosing it. She secured her rifle while moving t the door and Miyoung and Su grabbed the stretcher with Qi next to them able to switch should Miyoung need to slice or use her portable computer.

"JUst hang in there." SHe was looking at Ahri who was laying there on it and secured with straps. The droids lifting her up with ease as the sound of the door being opened came. MEtal scrapping on metal... she pushed forward to stand near Barca as one of the droids stood in the room and joined them. "Oh sorry princess, we installed an Aruni in one of the droids to serve as a vanguard and seal the doors behind us. He'll much things up real good so even if they try and come later they won't be able to get in and it will help mitigate the explosion." It was a smart plan and JUnko nodded when it was following behind them as they moved.

SHe looked at the droid when they were going, the sounds of them moving were muffled just a little as they moved carefully, quickly and as quietly as possible. Wanting to draw as little attention through the halls. The first indications anything was up ahead of them came from the aruni which identified them and the makie droids... then two of the security biots were set up and prepared. THey had secured the entrance as shield gates were shimmering and Junko moved through it. The broken sections of tunnel, the shaft for the lift and the areas that had been cleared out and then fortified had new barricades and gates on them.

The work the biots had been doing was evident in most cases they were diligent in their work and with the combat ones it was guards.. engineering biots were working with the repair crews. THey had smaller biots there and they were securing the walls and frames... making it so they had a tunnel and the drones would be able to operate as turrets. JUnko nodded seeing them and they were giving reports as the kanzer had been told about them on some of the lower levels... engagements were minimal as they seemed to be testing but it was recommended as they came closer and closer on more floors not to stay.
