Private So We Meet Again

[Gnox the Insatiable]

If there wasn't food currently being cooked there'd be much, much more for Gnox to discuss with Shai Maji about her tackle. Instead he laughed and grinned, shoving her lightly as he sat up to look back to the meat. "Big talk. We'll have to discuss this more after dinner, mm?" He'd sit quietly as it was cooked, then watched the woman curiously as she dressed the meat up with some kind of sauce. A brow raised curiously, but he accepted the sandwich. In truth he didn't expect to be able to taste it. He hadn't been able to taste anything for a very, very long time. The booze had to be a fluke. A trick of the mind.

He ended up just staring dumbfounded at the sandwich as he chewed.

"I.. Can taste it." Whether it was good or bad he didn't say. The disbelief that he could actually taste it was what he was commenting on. He started to dig right in, quickly eating the whole thing before bursting out into laughter. "It tasted amazing! I can't believe I can taste!" He smirked a bit more at her poke before shifting to face her. "Can't take me seriously, or too busy thinkin about taking?"

Her nervousness was replaced by confusion when he started to get excited over being able to taste. She only remembered after a few seconds about his issue when it came to things such as taste. Definitely cause for celebration. She grinned at him and placed a kiss on his cheek as she looked back to the meat. "Well there's more where that came from so don't worry. Once these are done we're set." she quipped as she turned the other pieces over and seasoned them.

Her grin widened at his comment as she glanced at him. "It's hard to keep my mind out of the gutter around you at this point." she teased as she bumped him with her shoulder. "Though don't get any ideas. I'm starving after today."

When the other pieces were finally done, she served them up in the same fashion as the first and immediately devoured her first bun. She slowed considerably with the other two, savouring them with each bite. Done with dinner, she laid back with her hands resting on her stomach as she stared at the stars.

"I'll be honest with you, I got no clue what time it is... but I'm not exactly in a rush to get back. This is nice." she spoke softly as she turned her head to glance up at him. A warm smile adorned her lips as she idly reached over and pulled his arm for him to join her.

"More is good. I'm positively famished." Was it a joke? Dark humor to say the least, if that's what he intended. With his grin though it was likely just that. He just waggled his eyebrows at Shai Maji as she mentioned the gutter. Then, it was feasting. The food was just amazing for him. Gnox truly enjoyed being able to eat. And taste. A couple different ideas came to mind, but he pushed those off as he finished off the last of his own food.

He watched as she laid down. He didn't, mostly because he wasn't entirely sure what she was doing. But as she reached out to him he gladly joined her, pulling her close as he rested in the grass. His eyes never left her. The stars could be falling and they wouldn't be worth looking at while he had her there with him. His own smile formed after a moment. No wide, cocky grin. No laughter or bravado. Just happy, pure and simple. "Thanks for not ejecting me into space."

He joined her on the grass and pulled her in close. With a smile she went even further and laid on top of him, staring down into his brown eyes. For several moments there was nothing said as they enjoyed each other's presence. He finally broke the silence with a comment that earned a snicker from her. She relaxed and returned his smile, placing a kiss on his lips. "Thanks for not eating me." she muttered softly. Her gaze turned more serious as her arms wrapped around his head to hold him close. "We'll make it work." she stated softly as she looked into his eyes.

She leaned in and gave a kiss before resting her head on his chest. "I'm actually liking this. It's not cold or anything. We can just stay here for the night." she commented as she closed her eyes with a smile. "Plus I think any person or animal trying to get the jump on us is gonna get a very nasty surprise." she snickered as she lifted her head up again.

After a few minutes of simply enjoying herself on top of him, she gave a drawn out sigh. "I should have brought my datapad, though. What are we gonna do before we fall asleep?" she muttered as she glance at him.

A grin formed as she kissed him. An unspoken joke though, as he didn't want to ruin the moment as she held him close. His grin softened as he nodded once and leaned down to kiss her forehead. "We will. Definitely." Screw the Sith. Screw the Mandalorians. Shai Maji was all that mattered now. That's all he wanted to care about. Wherever this would lead, he wanted to know, and he wanted to put his all into it. His hand found her cheek as he guided her into another kiss. Soft, gentle.

Playful.

The grin returned as he pulled back. "Oh you and I both know a couple ways we can enjoy each others company."
