We Meet Again

Ashe Senari

I was raised to be a weapon, but I was born to be
Ashe's head cracked against the wall, hard. The force of the blow knocked her unconscious and she fell to the ground limply. Her hair was beginning to tint red as she lie on the ground. She stayed completely still and unresponsive after being hit so forcefully. Yusan had never hurt her this bad while sparring before. She was totally unprepared for this kind of violent retaliation. Sure she had expected anger, and maybe a kick to the gut or something, but being slammed against a wall was as far off the spectrum of responses that she expected as it was possible to get. Yusan breathed slowly and sighed as his eyes turned from their bright crimson color to the blood red ones, focusing on the unconscious body of his friend and blinking. "For force sakes..." He keyed in a button on his datapad, alerting the staff that he needed a med team now, his body moving over and kneeling down. He spoke, softly, hands lightly tapping her cheek and trying to wake her up without causing more damage. His hands allso tearing off a swash of his cloak and pressing it to the back of her head, not having meant to harm her this bad.

Ashe groaned as her eyelids fluttered open. She whimpered a bit as she felt Yusan press the swash of fabric to the wound on her head. She looked up, slightly fearful, at her friend hovering above her. "You've never.... hurt me like that before..." She said as she tried to sit up. Her skull was throbbing, she had a headache and likely a concussion. She blinked a few times, trying to will the pain to disappear. [member="Memorial"]

He looked at her, the fear there and for a moment he looked down, not letting up on her head though. "Sorry, i didn't mean to harm you like that... well i mean i did but i wasn't thinking clearly..." He could feel her pain and started to strip it from her, taking her pain to his own mind and leaving her without it so that she could think a bit clearer. The Med team would be here soon, and he could only sit there as he had harmed his friend.

She nodded a bit. "I understand I think.." She replied, finally managing to sit up on her own. The fear was gone now. On some level she knew she deserved the violent retaliation. What she did hadn't been fair in anyway. She also knew that Yusan would never intentionally hurt her that badly over a sparring match, or anything for that matter. She smiled at him a little when she noticed the state he was in. "Stop worrying, I'll be fine," She told him, trying to cheer him up a bit. [member="Memorial"]

"You have a gash in the back of your head and probably a concussions, im sorry but your definition of fine is a bit lacking." He didn't even notice how close he was, tearing another bit of his cloak and using it in replacement of the old bit to keep the blood from matting too much. "You know, that hurt by the way." He grinned, looking at the face of his friend, only a foot from it.

Ashe blushed fiercely at their close proximity to each other. She reached her scarred left hand up to feel the damage, but dropped it back down to replace it with the right one. She sometimes forgot that aside from intense pain, her left hand had no sensation. She looked over at Yusan and bit her lip before speaking. "Sorry... Guess I kinda deserved this after that dirty trick," She replied calmly. She debated pulling his hand away and pressing the cloth to her wound by herself, but decided against it. Something about having him take care of her felt good. She smiled a little although she was still blushing. She held up her left hand, making sure he could see it before speaking again. "I will be fine you know. I mean, I have had worse," She reassured him, glancing meaningfully at her crippled limb. @Memorial

"Right, and im a hutt's uncle. Good try missy, but im not stopping any time soon... and why are you blushing..." He stared at her face now, still largely unaware the distance was not something that was normal. Too much time fighting with the grand army did that too him, forgetting that normal people had such a thing as personal space and that sitting a foot away from eachother was not generally a easy thing to look past.

"N-no reason! I'm fine! I-it's probably just from hitting my head!" She managed to stutter out a response, as stupid as it may be atleast she had said something. Ashe had no idea how to handle the present situation. Her social expertise didn't go past a polite greeting. She'd never really had a friend before and she had no clue if being this close to someone was normal. She didn't want to appear rude by moving away, and with his hand still pressed to the back of her head she probably couldn't have moved anyway. So, Ashe did the only thing she knew how to do, sit there awkwardly and wait for something to happen. [member="Memorial"]

"Sheesh, after we get you patched up, im going to have to show you how to relax and unwind. You are one of the most stiff necked people i have ever seen, and thats saying something as i am a damned Senator in the place where stiff necks gather daily." He smiled and looked at her eyes, staring at them for a few seconds before shrugging, never moving an inch the entire time.

Ashe was about to make a comment when she remember something. One of the last time's she had seen him there had been a woman with him, a Miraluka. Ashe didn't know her name, but she vaguely remembered that there had been something between the strange woman and the Senator. "That woman you were with the last time I saw you, the Miraluka, where is she?" Ashe asked curiously. She didn't know if this was a appropriate question to be asking someone she had only talked to a few times. No one had ever taught her about prying into people's personal lives and she hoped the question wouldn't upset him. [member="Memorial"]

His face instantly dropped, all pressure gone from the wound and his hands dropped to the ground like sacks of mud were tied to them. "She... shes gone, taken and being tortured, probably dead by now... i... i cant..." He closed his eyes tears forming and he was deathly silent now, trying to shut out the thoughts of what could be happening to her, how he could do nothing and how his failures left him in pain.

Ashe regretted asking the question when she saw how sad it made him. She moved a bit closer and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly in an attempt to be comforting. She had seen people respond this way to someone being sad before and so she assumed it would be a good idea. She briefly remembered her parents hugging her a few times in the past, when she was alot younger and hadn't started truly training yet. She pushed the thoughts aside and leant her head against his shoulder as she continued to hug him. [member="Memorial"]

"Thank you..." He simply sat there, still just sullen and broken for a moment, arms hanging dead a this side and eyes closing as he smiled. "I think we can rule out a concussion, you seem to be perfectly alert but maybe we should still get you checked just incase, the medical team will be here in some time.... where ever the hell they are. Good to know neither of us are dying."

Ashe nodded and continued to hug him for a few more minutes before finally letting go and sitting back on her heels. She noticed a lone tear sliding down his cheek and nervously wiped it away. She hoped he would feel better soon, seeing him so upset was making her sad. Emotions weren't something she knew how to comprehend. The warrior had always been taught to ignore emotions and to bottle everything up. She wasn't sure she knew what any of the 'typical' emotions really felt like, she was to used to being stoic. "Yeah... Dying would be bad wouldn't it?" She said jokingly, hoping to make him smile. [member="Memorial"]

[member="Ashe Senari"]

He grinned, weakly but it was there. "Almost as bad as anything you cook." He left the joke hang there as he tried to remove the thoughts that were not cycling in his head over and over again, running in circles and pushing on the walls of the barriers he had set to keep him sane. God he hated this waiting game, but in the end he would soon find himself victorious and that was all that mattered.

"Hey! I've gotten good at cooking!" She pouted a bit at the insult. God, you accidentally burn noodles one time and suddenly you'll always be bad at cooking. She noticed that he still seemed to be thinking about the Miraluka woman. She hoped she'd be able to help him get his mind off of her. She'd hate to see what he would be like if things didn't work out in his favor. [member="Memorial"]

"Right, and im the queen of Naboo, good luck making me believe that." He smiled as he laughed, his face brightening up a bit more as he talked with her. He wouldn't forget about Carliah, but he could move on for the moment, think happier thoughts and have fun with his friend, he would go back to sorrow and pain no doubt, but for now he needed to be positive for his friend.

"So does our wonderful Senator still live in a cave somewhere?" She teased, smiling a bit. She noticed she was still really close to him, less than a foot away now. She blushed and moved a bit so she was sitting next to him, instead of being nearly in his lap. Ashe wondered where she would stay now that she had left home. She didn't have much money, and Yusan was the only person she really knew outside of Eshan, except for that Jedi kid, but she definitely wasn't going to join the Jedi just to have a place to stay. "No, i have a home on Mayferria where i am the current Senator of, and here on Onderon where i have an old friend that is helping me set up the planet for the war that is brewing ever worse. Many on Eshan have long since viewed me as a traitor and condemned me to an early grave so it is probably best i not go near it any time soon."
