Solarii (Camellia Swift)

Sector Two Research Lab

[member="Camellia Swift"]

"Are you certain?" Her words came out while Balaya sat in the office of the base. the sectors had been redrawn mostly and her new area was different but at least she was able to keep some of the work in the Roanoke class that had been in the sector. The Savan class great for holding whatever horrors they had while her plans to use the knowledge and skills of one of the more skilled people she had met. It would serve better for her even though she wasn't in her sector. Beyond Arcanix who was one of the few sith she could stand being in the company of for longer then a few moments. Camellia swift would prove quite a task to beyond one or two of the things she had going. "Ensure she is brought here, that Rendili woman holds what is left and what we are going to use to fix this plague." She had more thoughts while the four women gave nods of their heads to go and start working. Her sector members were working hard on their duties from the ships overseeing and to make a criminal network until sith forces could infiltrate and overtake worlds.

Camellia wasn't much of a fan of traveling really.

Before her transformation into a Croa and the fall of her homeworld to the Sith after the Republic had abandoned them as a result of the mysterious going ons at the time, she had actually enjoyed her position in the Republic Navy as an officer and the times she had to move around the galaxy in a combat group. However, as she wasn't really sure of her place yet within the Sith's heirarchy considering her only recent conversion due to the virus used on her, the head of Rendili Stardrive was a bit lost as to what to do so sticking close to home had seemed like the best and most comfortable idea for the time being.

Still, when the Sith responsible for her infection called upon her to make a trip for some business regarding the virus she couldn't very well refuse. In fact because of her infection she didn't even mind it, she was just a tad concerned leaving control of her world to others while she was gone during such a delicate period as society adjusted to their new status as both a new species and people with almost all new identities and emotions. Nonetheless, whatever their Sith creator wanted of her, it was undoubtedly important. So once she arrived, Camellia smiled happily, tail swaying behind her, as she was led to Balaya's location and greeted the Sith woman.

"You requested my presence Lady Balaya? Its good to see you again!"

Balaya remained there for a moment and looked at the girl, amusement playing across her face though while she motioned her closer with her hand taking the time to really look over her work. There was the virus they had been working on but it needed more focus and power, best way to do that would be to get it into a lab and work harder on making the sithspawn aspects of it focused, refined, the infection and danger of it something scary... or there was the obvious way to handle it. Show how dangerous a virus could be that was able to think and target different species overriding their wills and turning them into servants of the Dark Lord. With the recent... on goings she would prefer the course that kept her from getting headaches and being in measuring contests she had no interest in with other sith. "It is good to see you my dear, how are you adjusting?"

Camellia smiled at the maker of the Croa virus as she was asked how she was adjusting since becoming infected. "I've been doing very well Lady Praelior. I feel much happier since the transformation, my body feels much better and more powerful than it was before. I'm a fan of the alterations it made to my people's physiology as well. We've merely been trying to reorganize society as of late but it's going well all things considered. Everyone is happy in their new forms, and production has gone up in most fields. Ten percent of the population hit the mark for degrading in capacity to a degree but that was the best we could achieve while trying to convert everyone as quickly as we could. We've maintained most of the population's intelligence and the most difficult roles are all filled by many capable and much more enthusiastic people now. The hardest part now is trying to figure out our role in the galaxy since we now live with the Sith and we need to figure out how to keep business going. Although it would be so much easier if we could make more worlds like us to have the most favorable trade partners."

Balaya looked at the woman as she was speaking and raised an eyebrow. "Using this on more people would make for an easier more agreeable thing but my dear..." She kept moving, kept her eyes flicking back and forth before continuing. "The work on the virus needs to be contained. We do not want others getting information on it or seeing before it is ready. That is why we are here working on it away from prying eyes." Her hand moved now to open a datapad as she slid equipment around. "We'll test it and see what can be done but shall have to work carefully to not alter or raise suspicion. Any subjects that cannot be contained will be eradicated."

Camellia was disappointed by the response she received from the creator of the Croa virus that had altered her as it had, but at the same time she understand the logic of the situation. Her intelligence had not been degraded, her loyalty only warped and biology changed, made better, greater. Praelior spoke well, and Camellia found herself sighing as she stood in front of the Sith zeltron, her tail flicking behind her as she thought about the situation. "That makes sense Lady Praelior. What then is it we must do to refine the work and make it better then? I admit being a bit apprehensive coming all the way out here. Projects and making sure Rendili adjusts as well as I have await me when I return."

Balaya looked at her and spoke. "That is understandable but I avoid the core worlds whenever possible." She was thinking about it and ensuring the virus took on Rendili. She was interested more in what could come from it all. This one in front of her was a marvel and she needed to make sure it was protected. her investment in the future compared to some of the things she had seen and bee dealing with. It might be best to find a nice and quiet place to bunker down with her experiments. Widek was lonely and isolated with her nightmare child secretly floating around. No one bothered it, there were other other creatures like the GRN-DL that Mrrew had gotten for her and now there was her little Croa zero as the sith spoke. "We'll just have to find a nice place where experimenting with you and refining the virus can be done but within sight of Rendili... preferably not to far in the core.. I don't like dealing with some of the other sith."

The Sith were certainly a disagreeable bunch, especially with each other, at least that was what it seemed like to Camellia, even with her opinion of them tweaked to be much more favorable. Nonetheless, Praelior at least, was the one certain to hold the loyalty of the Croa above all others, only her orders would be followed if other Sith tried to question that authority to use them for other ends then they would be ignored. Still, the news about the testing on her to refine the virus and make it more potent and effective worried the Rendili woman. Being away from her homeworld at such a time wasn't exactly thrilling. Plus there were several designs she wanted to start producing which would require her presence at the shipyards over the planet, especially since some of them were for clients around the galaxy she had to make contracts with. "Of course Lady Praelior, how long will testing take though? And will I be free to carry out the work of the shipyards between experiments?"

[member="Camellia Swift"]

Balaya looked upon her and thought about it. Someplace she could work with her pet on things and there were a few thought. "I do not see a problem with you working in the shipyards on some designs for the sith. Staying close to your world will help for not arousing suspicion as it were and give us access to its resources." She had ideas for what they had and could get. If the others weren't going to capitalize on it then she would and it would allow access to subjects she could test the battery on to find the right subject. "Now lets hear about some of these designs, I am always up for new shiny things."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

It was a relief to the Rendili woman she would still be able to watch over her homeworld and continue to conduct business, since that was what primarily kept Rendili useful and allowed her to maintain control now. It was actually rather funny to her that since everyone had become Croa even the former Arch Provost deferred to her for being the first turned. It was. . . .almost empowering. However, what somehow felt truly empowering was the eagerness she interpreted from her maker about the designs of any ships her company was building. Camellia couldn't stop her tail from flicking excitedly behind her as she answered Lady Praelior. "Well we were thinking about a new cruiser, fighter, and interdictor design. The Interdictor is a point of sale we're aiming to the ACA, and the fighter will mostly be bulk product to sell around the galaxy. The Cruiser we're hoping to introduce to the Sith Navy once we're done with it."

Good good but oh she was thinking about a few more things with it. As the lab work was coming in the voice was watching all that she could. Her eyes flicking back and forth over it all while she spoke. "That is good, while it might not be everything wanted I think your ships could prove invaluable in the long run. Introduce something new to keep them guessing." She had more ideas but was letting the commands for the kree medical ships go out, experiments being done in different areas with different subjects. It wasn't as skilled as the doctor would be able to make it but she had a few ideas that could go with it. Mostly keeping in mind her equipment here in this lab as they were working on things. That was why she was heading into the alchemy lab and speaking. "We will need other ships down the line, some less conventional but not without purpose. One able to contain a lab such as this will be needed." The Alchemy lab here was different then her others, it didn't have a forge it had a basin filled with black ichor while red tendrils of darkside energy seemed to feed into it.

Well Camellia was certainly one who wouldn't say no to contracts for new ships, it was her homeworlds specialty after all. Rendili Stardrive had been in the shipwright business from the very beginning and it held proudly to that lineage. In truth if you had asked the now Croa woman before the Republic abandoned the Inner Rim to the One Sith's advance if her company would ever provide vessels to the darkside armed forces, she would have said no. Things had not gone the way she had anticipated at all really, but life was most certainly full of disappointments. "Non-conventional ships can be the most fun. I feel like the Interdictor project has been one of the most interesting lately. A ship to include a lab and research section would be different, perhaps with stealth equipment and kept smaller for the sake of project secrecy. What is it we'll be doing here though?"

She smiled to that, staying in the lab and looking on the vat of black ichor as she moved to stand next to it. She was letting the energies flare into the pool while speaking. "This is just a lab where the virus is made, Sithspawn can be so temperamental and you need a control of it." She had a small smile on her face and even working on something so small they had need to harvest and create it. The voice needed something to focus on. "You cannot create something from nothing after all and the organisms from something simple served a better purpose." She would have to have the shipwright look at the Kree class, which for now was the advanced lab ships, paired with the Roanoke which served to hold test subjects... but she debated keeping this one away from the good doctor.

Ah, Camellia was actually somewhat interested now after hearing that. After all, it was something of a wonder and curiosity to the Rendili woman how Sithspawn were made. During her time as a Republic Officer she had fought against quite a number of them, and had typically assumed they were created through sith magic and rituals in some sort of specially prepared altar or something. However, since being turned from a human into a Croa, she had thought a little more on it since this and a number of Sithspawn were developed through viruses. It seemed like there was a lot more science going on in the methods than she had originally believed. "I always did quietly wonder where Sithspawn came from, I suppose my curiosity only got more curious after being turned Lady Praelior. So what is it you intend to do now today? Where do we start?"

[member="Camellia Swift"]

She was looking at the girl and smirked. "It varies from creature to creature. Some are made by altering a species to add or augment their existing bdies. Good for a few things but in the long run they will tire you out. There are the rare ones you can design that will be able to reproduce but they take a great deal of energy. The bigger the creature the more energy needed and given the rush by some... People only want bigger and bigger. Until you create a creature so large you do not know what to do with it." She mused about her baby, the Nightmare child that was the largest of all the sithspawn. "No the secret is to go smaller, the croa will serve a purpose few others can... It will replace what was lost."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

That sounded. . . .eerie and cryptic. Plus since Camellia was not exactly attuned to how SIthspawn were created, the politics behind them, or even aware of just what kinds there were currently in existence, she couldn't very well understand much of anything that Lady Praelior was trying to tell her. What was lost? Replacing? It was very vague, and almost alluded to ship designs in a way considering the sparse words used to describe everything, it wasn't helping the Rendili woman figure it out at all. "What do you mean Lady Praelior? What was lost? And what do the Croa have to do with it? What experiments will we be running to accomplish this?"

[member="Camellia Swift"]

She chuckled while looking into the basin and the ichor before running a finger within it. "Awaken my dear." She spun her finger as the ichor shifted becoming almost solid in places. "The ancient sith knew how to harness certain things. Use their talismens to incite change in people instead of needing power. We have lost that talent with the destruction of the murr talismen... but we have learned how to do some other special things.\" She held a grin on her face as the liquid become more like an ooze when she lifted her finger and Balaya was speaking low in sith'ese to allow the red pulsing into the basin while she let force energy radiate off of her. "You are merely the first step towards securing a legacy as it were and oh the plans that can come from this lovely virus." Her hand came up as she activated a screen and was looking as their location with some of the humans they had captured. A mother and her child before she spoke. "Ah good, now to see how they react when infected with a stronger dose."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

Camellia was merely witness she felt, for she had little idea as to what was actually transpiring. So instead of trying to fake an understanding, she simply maintained her gaze on what was going on as Lady Praelior did something bring the ichor to life within the basin and have dance for her briefly around her finger. In truth this was beyond the Croa woman's expertise. Rendili specialized in ship building and design, and Camellia herself was rather immersed in that business and was more akin to understanding engineering than something in the sciences of chemistry or organics like this. The only thing she did catch was this was part of the tests. . . .and a poor mother and child were going to be the subjects for it. "What is the virus supposed to do? I have to say I'm lost in all this."

[member="Camellia Swift"]

"It will twist them to serve a purpose, make them serve the darkside and the dark lord instead of petty thoughts of individuality, morality, their ideals on religion. This will free them all from it and have them under the dark lords vision. I need only look to you for a prime example of abandoning ones self for what you were designed for." She wasn't one for anger or cruelty but being sinister that was easy and she wasn't one to play. This was a sithspawn, something designed from her own power and with a purpose.... Even if it would be able to think at first it would still serve. Her soldiers brought in the woman and the child as she let the nail implant be covered in the ooze before slicing the womans neck just a little. To make sure it got into her body. "Now we watch and wait."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

Well it definitely sounded quite amazing, but that still didn't quite explain what effects the substance would have on the subjects bodies. It would make them loyal that was the most Camellia was able get from that, but she didn't quite see what else the virus was supposed to do to the two unfortunate individuals the Sith had opted to use as subjects for this experiment. So in the end the Rendili woman guess she would find out whenever Lady Praelior applied the ichor to one of them, which wasn't long to wait for at all as Sith soldiers brought in the older of the pair and the Sithspawn maker cut the woman lightly and applied some of the ooze to the wound. There wasn't much Camellia had to say on the matter either as she was riveted to watching what would happen next.
