Solarii (Camellia Swift)

Balaya looked at her as she raised an eyebrow and spoke. "We are getting back to the tests my pet but can't have you having conflicting emotions and we need you strong to be able to be here. If you are not able to control some of your lesser sisters then there will be some problems." She was holding her finger out while she looked into the room where the final sensors were set up. One of the croa was dressed in a robe and holding a smaller version of the basin while the black ooze that was the croa virus sloshed inside of it. The girl on the table had monitors all around her getting a look of fear in her eyes while they set the basin near her head. "We are nearly ready."

". . . Understood Lady Praelior." The Rendili woman understood, the virus made her understand, as she leaned forward and drank in more of the blood, the conflicting voices wiping from her mind, until she was perfectly at ease with what had happened to her and her people that day. Though as a result she felt incredibly drowsy and and bit inclined to rough someone up if the Sith zeltron told her to. Though she could still think somewhat clearly as she turned her face towards the chamber where the experiment was going on, guessing what was going to happen next. In all likelihood, the human girl wouldn't be human for much longer. "I feel much better maam."

"Good, very good." Balaya flicked her finger as she spoke. "Proceed." There was the screens and the basin was lifted. The thick black ooze poured over the girl as she was screaming and slowly the virus ooze slid into her pores and mouth. Going to her nose, eyes and ears for a moment before Balaya turned her attention to the screen as the girl face was covered in black streaks. Their sensors were observing the heart rate and brain wave activity as they were watching the body of the woman slowly pump through her body once it entered her bloodstream and her brain. "Watch as it slowly acts, traveling along the length of the body until it is slowly within every part. Seeping into every cell and organ. Her body morphs, her heart rate increases and her brain." She was looking at it as the area's of the brain seemed to glow hot with activity as it was slowly being assaulted.

The screaming was disconcerting, but then again even Camellia had to admit the method of infection was more frightening than it needed to be. A simple bite from the Croa in the room would be less . . . .fear inducing for the subject, perhaps a good sign in the Rendili woman's eyes that people facing the infection from the Croa would not realize the threat until it was too late, a bonus to their deceptively pleasant outlook she would tell others. Black ichor pouring over your face and creeping inside you. . . .that was terrifying from a first person perspective. The vitals monitors were ecstatic with the text going on, the virus effects on the subject's body putting the sensors into a flurry activity as they tracked what the human body was being put through. "I suppose I wasn't paying attention maam, but is that blood from the Croa from the last test? I apologize but it just feels excessive to infect her in such a disturbingly flashy way when a simple bite would have worked as well. Plus if it isn't from the Croa in the last test I'm confused, I thought we were testing if that subject had been on the threshold of degradation. So I'm sorry if I missed noticing the blood was drawn from that subject if it was."

There was a look on Balaya's face while she flicked her eyes to watch and spoke. "It is what is left after the croa dies yes. The body burns hot, so hot it liquifies and becomes a pool of infection. The one in the other room joined with the source. The sithspawn that is inside each and everyone of you and watch." She was pointing to the screen as the virus killed the brain, activity stopping while her heart seemed to stop. "A bite will take time, will be a small amount of infection over the body. A concentrate dose is needed for testing them otherwise we'll be here for days watching." She continued to watch and seemed to be counting as slowly there was a twitch, an spark and small impulses were showing again while the brain seemed inactive at first. "The degradation will shut down parts or only bring back some but prioritize the most basic of functions."

Well, Camellia hadn't expected that to say the least. The Sith Zeltron had disposed of the previous subject just to move onto this one. Of course there were some statistical and logistical issues with that, but the Rendili woman felt that Lady Praelior was having an oversight of a crucial detail that might be a concern. "Not to say a mistake might have been made maam. . . . . but if that substance is the previous subject, then rather than the infection becoming diluted through the bite injecting the Virus in a new body, won't our current subject be so filled with the last subject she will be of the exact generation rather than one below it? It doesn't make sense for the virus to weaken in this case to the next generation if she's completely filled with the previous subjects component. . ."

Balaya looked at her. "No mistake, I needed the transformation to happen so I could see what areas were not being changed or coming back." She made a motion of pointing to the being on the table as their transformation was happening. Parts were morphing and shifting, their body changing as screams were silent from their throat while the vocal cords were near paralyzed from terror and shock. Balaya was laughing while watching the screens again to see what was coming. "The more virus in the initial infection the stronger and faster it will be. The more traumatic their bodies can change and morph. For you I just stabbed with an injector of the virus and it went to work. For her a pure concentrated dose of croa into her very pores."

Well that made sense, so the Sith Zeltron was expecting the subject to be the same generation as the previous croa had been under the circumstances. The difference was that Camellia hadn't thought that Lady Praelior had intended this so that they could judge off of what was a healthy and relatively *perfect* subject what effects the virus would have on their mind at this generation in case the previous croa had been a fluke or glitch in the plans. As for the remarks about the amount of pain and suffering the subject was going through in the transformation process, that one the Rendili woman understood quite perfectly. It had been grating to her very core when she went through it, and from the sounds of what the Sith giantess was telling her, it was likely nothing compared to what the subject was going through considering the amount of the virus that had infiltrated her body as that black ichor. "No progress without sacrifice is the only consolation I could think to give her after she gets through, besides becoming a better being than human of course."

Balaya looked at her and was watching the reaction on the woman. "Exactly." She was walking towards the window while she opened it and the construction continued. The sounds while they got to the other sections and finished up more parts of it. Secondary sections were coming online now like freshers and they were working on water filtration and moisture evaporators overhead giving it the entrance of a farmstead that operatives could oversee while protecting the lift leading down. Balaya was in the room as the croa was convulsing and noiselessly screaming as her hands touched the girl. Reaching in with the force to check her while she was feeling below the surface of her skin. Veins going slowly from blue to black as it spread.

Camellia became distracted with the departure of the Sith Giantess, though in truth she knew there was indeed a lot going on. It was easy to catch the sounds of construction too she supposed, what with the subject's transformation occuring silently with the amount of stress being put on the girl's psyche most likely. The amount of pain the experiment was putting the soon to be Croa through was nothing the Rendili woman herself wanted to experience again. Still, Lady Praelior was soon back to checking on the subject, the use of the force making Camellia's hair stand on end a little as she drifted to the side to stare at ongoing construction herself. The rest of the base really was progressing smoothly, and the whole farmstead angle was rather well decided. They could provide water for the base while appearing legit, in truth the Rendili woman appreciated the effort, just as much as she appreciated the hard work the Zeltron was putting into studying the virus and ensuring the Croa were functioning correctly.

Balaya continued to watch the signs of the girls transformation and her cybernetics were linked to the computers while they were moving. She motioned for Camellia to follow her as she was monitoring the screens and seeing it. She was looking through the scans and speaking while walking through the other things there. She went through the facility leading to the lift and he zoo part of their vase was showing now. Other rooms with some of the sithspawn and mutates while she led the way down to a lower level where a larger chamber had the croa gathered together while Balaya spoke. "While the transformation finishes we shall test some of your skills my pet. I want to see how well you can command your sisters."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

As they moved along Camellia was beginning to admit feeling lost again, though not out of a feeling of uselessness. Rather, she felt things were becoming highly erratic and jumbled with too many things happening at once. Yet, it was not her place to question, only follow and obey as Lady Praelior commanded her to. Which was exactly what the Rendili woman did as the next experiment unveiled itself. This time something a little more interactive for her it seemed. "Yes Lady Praelior, is there anything in particular you wish for me to command them to do?" This actually appeared to be an excellent way to pass the time while waiting for the subject above to finish transforming into a Croa.

Although Camellia did have to admit being confused. Was there something special about the batch below? In all honesty in her time running Rendili Stardrive and governing her homeworld since the Sith occupation, there hadn't been any instance where any of her Croa sisters had disobeyed her. The ones on the stations were her employees from the start anyway so that could be a factor she supposed, but the Arch-Provost deferred to her readily since she transformed the former human man. Then again for all she knew a Sith had compelled obedience from the others for her. . . but even right after she had spread the infection they had seemed willing and loyal. . . . . well she supposed this test was useful whatever the reason was. After all, maybe it was just to see if she could command even the feral in large numbers accurately.

Balaya looked at the girl as she was motioning her forward. "Anything you want, right now we are using our time for something semi productive. The transformation needs to take place, the base needs to finish being built and hidden away." She walked closer and got their attentin while holding out her hand as she slid her implant across her finger again to slice it open and make a little more blood well up. She was standing over them and letting it drip as she spoke. "Like catnip for them. Sithspawn blood is pumping with the darkside and all sithspawn seek to feed off of the darkside my pet. I want you to control them without my influence."

Well anything was a dangerous option to give the Rendili woman, but she was professional so she wasn't going to let half the ideas sit in her head for long. Nor did she linger on the thoughts of what the Sith more than likely wished her to order, at least what she thought the Zeltron would most likely request considering how. . . brutal some earlier tests had been. Still, it seemed this test was completely for her to decided upon, although technically the experiment itself was to see if she could indeed give orders to any of the Croa she wished as their progenitor. It was nice to know though, that from the sounds of it, so far the Sith hadn't imposed on the Croa to make them listen to Camellia, which she supposed she just now had to prove for the sake of science.

A good way to reveal more information while waiting on the other subject to be ready. "Very well Lady Praelior. . . . . .Listen! All of you form a circle around the room, facing the wall!"

Balaya watched, her presence in the room and in the minds of the sithspawn within the room. She was looking at Cam to see if she had managed to keep her authority as a leader among her people. The ones there seemed to be looking at her as she spoke and looked around the room. Walking around Cam and scenting her while some went to the walls standing towards them and facing them. The ones who weren't following orders Balaya looked at and tapped a finger to her chin while she spoke. "Perhaps establishing your dominance with them."

Well to be honest Camellia was irritated enough she didn't mind actually showing the resistant Croa who was boss, mostly because she was hardly pleased with being embarrassed in the fashion she was after being so vocal. Nor did it help that it felt like the Sith giantess was looking down on her, not that the unnaturally tall zeltron wasn't always looking down on her in a literal sense of course, with the way she suggested asserting control. There were no words to say either, as the Rendili woman felt replying to the Sith would only serve to aggravate her and make things more awkward, as would being loud again or showing she was frustrated. So what she did do was lash out, backhanding one of the nearby Croa just staring her over.

Part of her wondered what was wrong. Were they early generations who were resistant to a pecking order? Were they so feral they didn't understand to obey? Was she merely wrong to believe she could command the others? Was it because of the Sith as she somewhat suspected before? Or was it because she was Rendili Stardrive's CEO and had turned the Arch-Provost so that the others followed her? So many questions and some of them easily answered of course if she directly questioned the subjects, but frustration often blinds some thoughts as she glared at the subjects who hadn't gone to the wall, especially so at the one she had struck. "To. The. Wall."

[member="Camellia Swift"]

Balaya continued to look upon her as she was directing the ones who were looking at her and not going to the wall. As Camellia seemed to be going through many thoughts and emotions the sith warlord was grinning and watching the sight of it all. She could feel her emotions and the darkside rise up as she was speaking. She wasn't like the other sithspawn but she was the smartest of the croa in the room as the ones around her finally went to the wall and Balaya was moving to stand with her. A smile on her face while she was going behind the pet with a small clap of her hands. "Oh how wonderful and such fire in you my pet. Your no less commanding then you were before but you must work on that authority."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

In truth Camellia disagreed, it was because of the setting and nothing else. She clearly held social status and authority on Rendili after all. There infected or not, people knew she was the CEO of Rendili Stardrive, that she wielded power on the planet because of how integral the company was to keeping the world relevant on a galactic stage. Her affiliation in the Home Defense Force as well aided more air to her, and none of it was malevolent. She was respected for her efforts and work, even prior to the Croa virus turning so many. In fact it probably gave her more authority. After all, she was now visible as being in charge, a capacity that helped reduce the amount of direct control the Sith had, putting many at ease since the Sith's dominion. Plus the Croa's inclination to obey, a bit strenuous as it was, due to her being the first infected, also increased the amount of support she had from her homeworld.

The Croa present she was mad at perhaps because she was accustomed to such respect, plus because of how obvious a certain fact was. "Croa or not, they should realize by the fact I am dressed in such a fashion and standing next to what they can likely feel is a Sith Master that I have authority. Maybe they were confused because you were here Lady Praelior and they wondered why I was giving orders and not you. Or maybe they were too feral to recognize the situation." She wasn't attempting to shift blame onto the Sith Zeltron, just trying to come up with possibilities. . . . .and for some reason she desperately did not want to fail in front of her Sith maker. They could tell by her scent who she was, even if Feral she thought, so there had to be something, like the fact the giantess of a Sith had been waving blood about and clearly revealing herself as a Sith.

Balaya was looking at the croa woman as the others were near the wall and she walked crossing her arms. "So if I wasn't in the room they would have been listening to you? Your sisters do not know the difference between you or them, that isn't them being mindless that is them being croa." She continued to walk and motioned for the woman to follow while going back to the lift and checking the status as she headed the way up towards the first sub level and what were showing as the quarters for the scientists here. More of the engineers were working but the medical staff were moving in as Elara returned. "Master, we have completed initial construction and setting up the air filters with some going to the surface. The area above has been secured and monitor and sensors for early detection. As well we have a message referencing Al-Khali and calling in more discreet sith to help out." Balaya watched it while she was walking the halls and led the way into a room with a transparasteel floor that looked down into the room with the Croa transforming below. "Then once we are done here, we'll just have to go and help there won't we."

Regardless of what was said the Rendili woman was going to remain dubious as to the actual issue, not at all because she was stubborn and paranoid. Still, she followed the Sith Zeltron quietly, not about to argue on the subject since in the end it hardly mattered. After all, she had gotten results, results she liked no matter how irritated she had gotten in the process. Returning to the other level and hopefully to a subject finished transforming into a Sithspawn, Camellia waited patiently as more information came in about the base. Which she personally was more interested in to some degree because of her preference for engineering projects. Hearing about the air filters, the Rendili woman hoped the Sith were ready for the intense care. Considering the wear the desert sands would have and the shifting dunes may eventually cover their access to the surface, they were going to be annoyingly problematic to upkeep.
