What I don't understand is isn't it somewhat obvious that it is likely Luke who is touching R2 with his robotic hand?

It's easy to assume that hand touching R2 is Luke, but then we don't know in what context or even if it IS him. I think it must be him, but I guess other fans aren't happy unless we actually see his face and hear him speak dialogue from the film.
Don't understand why everyone needs to see him and have everything revealed before watching it. It's obvious he's in it, so why can't people happily await a surprise reveal?
Social media is a pain sometimes for how easy it is for people to demand more and spoil things.

I am glad that they are keeping a lot of information close to themselves. It is one of the reasons why I was thrilled Abrams was put in charge.
I'm very impressed how he / Lucasfilm is handling the marketing. Look at the effect of the 3rd trailer and ticket sales - what more do they need to do without crossing the line and giving away the big surprises?

But if fandom and expectation are anything to go by, we certainly need to see a female Jedi now after 6 films of having very, very few take center stage. I'm not counting the wooden appearances of those in the prequels either.
