While there are several things we would like to see about Finn, Rey, Luke, Kylo, Hux, Snoke et al, of course, for the space battle there is but one thing I'm hoping for (I'm not sure about whether Rogue One met both criteria), that is, a space battle where:

1. Capital ships fire at each other and
2. They play a significant storyline role for both sides
