Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

I hope for two things, either


The Last Jedi plays out like the Empire Strikes Back. It focuses more on the villains (Although I hope they change them really, I'm getting tired of what is essentially a mix of Nazi Germany and Crazy terrorists who have no self control nor really have order) and the good guys don't entirely win. But really just make up for somethings that (I perceive) that didn't go well in the last movie, like Phasma being a total wet rag, and Rey getting very close to being a Mary Sue, etc.

Or

I hope the Last Jedi plays out like the Last Samurai, because that would be awesome.

Keep in mind people that "Jedi" is the same both singular and plural.

I hope that this film follows the motifs set with Rogue One rather than being a continuation of The Force Awakens. TFA was extremely disappointing and I'd very much hate for The Last Jedi to be the same way. The names of the films are certainly taking a dive...

The last Jedi. Now in the same era of the legends universe there were plenty of Jedi by that stage. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Disney, grrrrrrrrrrr why I like legends better. Its still Star Wars anyway so I know I will love it all the same and watch it probably like 4 or 5 times at the cinema when it comes out including at midnight on the release date like all the Star Wars movies before it.

The foreign language titles have been released over the past few days and given the difference to English, it confirms the title means Jedi PLURAL. As in Les Jedi, not Le Jedi.
