Like always....I'm late to the party and have to clean up after everyone.

First....BDT......great actor....not sure about a SW figure.

Captan P: Like to see more of this character!

Final Thought:

I liked SW VII.......but I nearly creamed over Rogue One. So.....if your sitting next to me for E8....I apologize in advance for the flood.

Well....glad you enjoyed them and can't wait for your...reaction to 'TLJ'!

There are several possibilities:

1) He might be referring to the fact that, as long as the Jedi Order has existed, powerful Force Users have risen up to oppose it (Sith/KoR etc), so the only way to break the cycle is to remove the Jedi from the equation. It's a popular theory that's been espoused by NFUs before, so perhaps Luke feels it's appropriate now.

2) He may well be looking at a more grey/neutral philosophy, one which dictates that the Jedi Order's ways have to die before it can be acknowledged - he may even be referring to the Unifying Force philosophy that was adopted in the EU novels during the Yuuzhan Vong War.

3) He may simply be choosing not to train any Jedi beyond Rey, thus seeing them as the last two, but a few of the other lines in the trailer make me doubt that interpretation.

There are other possibilities too, of course, and it could also be that it's another quote taken 100% out of context, as they often do with trailers. Who knows?

[member="Tyluko Dubykee"] Seemed like there was a Grey Jedi Order symbol in that trailer too 01.04secs in.

If it is a more 'Grey' area for Luke, like [member="Tirdarius"] says, maybe the Jedi of old need to go so this new era can begin.

And Rey does say she sees light, darkness and a balance....?

Yup, that's what I picked up, too. The continuation of the 'balance' theme from the other two trilogies is probably going to come to a head in this one. We may finally learn what Luke thinks of the idea. Maybe he learned of the 'Chosen One' prophecy? That book looks an awful lot like 'The Jedi Path', which is supposedly IC. Maybe Luke finally found a copy.
