Mia paced on the bridge of the Mythosaur, unsure where to place her emotions. This was a dangerous move to make, it could cost them, yet a message needed to be sent, one that the Republic could not ignore. Thrice they had broken a treaty with The Fringe, and now they had broken a treaty with the Mandalorians. An allegiance that went back almost two years was all but destroyed by the move to take Etti IV.

In truth it was inevitable, with the Empire gone the scramble to claim territory was bound to lead to a clash like this. The treaty had been set up to prevent this, and the Republic had ignored it. Her orders were clear: Make a point, do not engage. Perhaps Gilamar was doing this to test her loyalty, too make sure that Mia's heart was still with her people, regardless of who was in the Republic. She almost hated him for it.

Almost.

"Reverting to real space."

Mia stopped pacing and stood firm in the view port watching as the streaks became stars and Coruscant loomed beneath them. Her chest tightened but she did not flinch. "Fan out, deploy all fighters. Contact the ports and tell them to freeze all outgoing transport, if they argue tell them to look up." There was a shuffle of movement behind her as her orders were carried out.

"Open a channel to the Jedi and to the Senate."

Forgive me for not contacting you, Rel.

"Senator's of the Republic, Jedi. Look to your skies." she began "Make note of what you see. Too long you have encroached upon our borders, your continued expansion, does not, at any point take into account the people in which you are surrounding. Your actions and drive for galactic dominance rivals that of the late Sith Empire. We have had enough. You will send your leaders to Coruscant space, to join me and my companions to negotiate a strategic withdrawal. I do not need to tell what will happen if you do not comply."

The transmission ended and Mia clasped her hands behind her back. "Do not fire, unless we are fired upon. Make sure that order is crystal clear to our troops."

Preliat glanced around, holding his helmet under his head. He was on the Bridge as well, but he did not enjoy space, or at least, fighting in space. That was Larraq's territory. His eyes glanced over to Mia, nodding. The Rally Master would make sure, that his men followed orders to the letter.

"I don't think the Republic will like this, and I don't think they want to have a big fight so soon, if at all. My men will comply, as will I, Field Marshal."Preliat inclined his head, and waited for further instruction.

[SIZE=10pt]Sarge hadn't even finished his 'discussion' with the Senator before a Mandalorian fleet was in orbit. As he peered out the window of the Temple he could see the double-shield of Coruscant snap into place as no doubt myriad space defenses came online. Clearing his throat as the Mandalorians decided to talk, Sarge found himself frowning.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]The Jedi Grandmaster would have much to answer to - he'd not been informed of any treaty. He couldn't imagine what the treaty was - but he knew two things. Sith had been on that world, and they hadn't set foot on it themselves. Appearing in space over a planet didn't make you the owners.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]As the Mandalorians well knew, given the current situation.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]"A single ship would have done, Mandalorian." The Jedi Master said solemnly into the communications channel opened by the Mandalorians. "I see that... based on what you've brought with you, that the Archives were correct in how little the Mandalorians have changed. But I must ask whether or not this was necessary. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]A request, had it been made, would have been honored readily. A show of force, intended to intimidate... well, I may be a Jedi but dem's some fightin' actions. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]So here's how this will play out instead. You will vacate the airspace above the planet - I know for a fact you haven't the firepower to penetrate the planetary shields before the fleet arrives - and I will call the Grandmaster... right now... and request of him to meet you at a place of your choosing; alone save for whatever ship ferries him to your location.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]That location, however, cannot be here. I can respect a desire to protect what you view as your borders. I cannot respect a blatant show of intimidation when a simple holocall to set up a meeting would have sufficed. [/SIZE]

So that is the choice I am giving you, Mandalorian. Vacate the airspace, avert war and meet on ground of your choosing to address your grievances... or the Republic Navy decides to act upon the fact that you've illegally brought warships into our orbit." That wasn't a threat made by a Jedi, in fact the man was overtly pleasant.

"I await your response. And while I do so, I will contact Grandmaster @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]about what is currently going on above the Temple."

And so it was that the Grandmaster was brought into the conversation.

Captain Rygel Larraq sat upon the command chair of the Mythosaur and watched the woman pace before him. It was night on Mandalore when the call had reached him and the Mand'alor had requested his presence on the Mythosaur. It's wasn't until they were already in hyperspace that he truly realized what was going on.

Larraq sipped at his 7th cup of coffee and continued to watch the woman pace as she drew the fleet close to the planet but outside of planetary defense ranges. He would be more than prepared to assume command should the situation demand it, but for now he chose to take a back seat and enjoy the view of @[member="Mia Monroe"]'s backside as she jiggled back and forth across the deck like a predator in a cage.

Larraq sipped again at his coffee and waited for the Republic's response.

Mia prowl across the view port continued "Of course they won't like it." Mia replied to Preliat. "I don't like it." She glanced behind her at Larraq and rolled her eyes when she realised what he was looking at. "Pay attention to the defenses Larraq, not my backside." she snapped at him before a response finally came through. She recognised the voice of that of the Jedi that had been at the Senate.

"Requests, require patience Jedi Master. Patience is something I'm lacking in. The last time I made a request of the Republic I was insulted and the discussion as you may well recall went round in circles and got me nowhere. I have tried doing things the Republic way before, believe me when I say this gets much better results." Yes this was a show of force, yes this was a move to intimidate, but wasn't this a better way to test your enemies? In a millennium the Mandalorians hadn't changed, nor would they.

"You have no power here, you do not control the Republic, nor do you speak for it. The Jedi are nothing but a collection of badly leashed pets. Send your poor excuse for a Grandmaster here, and while your at it, why don't you contact the people that actually matter? Like the Chancellor, and the Vice Chancellor. The sooner you do so, the sooner we can vacate Coruscant airspace."

@[member="Mia Monroe"]

Speaking of higher ups... or rather he used to be but the topic of Vice Chancellor did come up so why not oblige the Mandalorian. Sitting in that of the main senate chamber with people such as @[member="Jack Harkness"] near him in the center pod and those like @[member="Alena Beswin"] and @[member="Bard of the Hyperlanes"], Yusan cleared his throat as a hologram erupted and he spoke almost immediately. "Excuse me, since at what time did the Republic start to let those of outside forces bring a -WAR- fleet into the space of the capital planet of the republic. I ask you now Mandalorian to leave the system and come back in a single ship that is meant for diplomatic purposes because at this moment it appears very much so that you are here to bully the Republic and the Jedi into submission under threat of attacking the home of trillions. I am sure i speak for everyone..." His eyes shot to Beswin when he finished. "... that your presence in your current for is unnecessary and will only serve to cause terror." He had gone ahead and alerted everyone for a evacuation of the area's most likely to be harmed by a battle or a Mandalorian invasion as well as calling for reserve fleets to return to Coruscant, he had done so with clearance that was never removed from his hands from when the Vice Chancellor position still remained, but he was still Keeper of Order in the Senate and while that position remained he would be here too. "Now, would anyone else like to say something to the aggressive guests of ours?" His hands worked on his datapad, alerting @[member="Carliah Dakrone"] and @[member="Stray"] to evacuate off planet or to get to the far side of the planet soon.

He also linked the Senate Chambers to that of the Jedi council, giving those like @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"], @[member="Carn Dista"], and others a view of the meeting and to add their own imput.

"Then I am afraid, Mandalorian, that we are at an impasse. I simply said I would request he meet with you - but I cannot speak for the Chancellor, or even the Vice Chancellor as you have so graciously noted. At least in speaking to the Grandmaster he would be able to speak with them. Alas, it seems, you're hellbent on not seeing beyond whatever arrogance funnels through your veins. You know as well as I that Jedi are not fazed by shows of strength."

There was a thoughtful noise from the back of his throat.

"I am afraid, however, that I cannot do as you request. I will make a request for the Grandmaster to wait in the Anaxes system until such a time as you stop seeing red. If he agrees, I will contact you again." One could only imagine the twinkle in his eye. "But you are not Mandalore, so I doubt he will put much stock in your words, just as you have put such little stock into mine." It amused him that her likely retort would be that she was empowered by her leader to make a treaty, but she couldn't assume the same for him. "Oh, and, for whenever you get around to speaking with the Grandmaster and Chancellor - insults aren't the way to get what you want. Our Archives have Mandalore the Ultimate described as an unparalleled warrior... and even stronger politician. I'd suggest you take his example and learn from it." The line went dead, he wasn't going to be insulted any longer by a hyperaggressive child playing warmonger.

This entire situation was ironic to him. Now Sarge simply need wait to speak with @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"].

@[member="Mia Monroe"]

Josh was later to the party then he would have liked. He'd been teaching a school of younglings the importance of meditation. The escapades of the Mandalorians and the Senate did not reach him until he was alerted to it, as well as to a call from Jedi Master @[member="Sarge Potteiger"].

A sigh escaped Josh's lips as he looked down at the children, who had sensed his worry and had opened their eyes, staring at him. He smiled faintly.

"Find a Jedi Master to watch you, and find a safe place to stay until this incident has passed, children" he instructed, giving them a small, reassuring smile. As the younglings filed out, the Grandmaster adjusted his robes and made his way to the comm terminals.

Finally, he managed to contact Sarge.

"Master Potteiger, you wished to speak with me? What's going on out there?" he asked as he peeked out the window. The Jedi Master could visibly see the Grandmaster raise an eyebrow and shake his head as he saw the Mandalorian warships on Coruscant...

Carliah Dakrone

Walking the Path to Redemption
Carliah was one of the first to board the evacuation ships. She made sure @[member="Stray"] went with her. She would not risk the lives of her two unborn children because some idiots wanted a war. She made sure to tell Yusan that if he got hurt she'd be sure to comeback and hurt him even worse. She wanted their kids to get to know their father and she didn't want Yusan taking an unneccessary risks.

"We've a fleet of Mandalorian warships in orbit, Grandmaster. The planetary shields are up, Jedi are mobilizing - civilians are being evacuated from areas of importance, just in case. All in all, we're on the brink of war." The Jedi says, sounding entirely nonplussed by the situation.

"We weren't informed you were back, however, and neither were the Mandalorians. They're demanding you go up there to talk to them, so I told them I would request that you meet with them in the Anaxes system. I think we can all agree, Grandmaster, that keeping this fleet in orbit will not do our population any good."

If he wasn't wearing a helmet, he'd have pinched his nose in exasperation, but... helmet. "I did it, partially, to give them time to cool off. I've seen more tame tantrums from Younglings. We're standing on a minefield. You may want to contact the Chancellor."

He sighed. "And it's not Mandalore who's demanding any of this."

Unlike other Jedi, Carn was known to have very little patience for agressive parties. He was however, more than happy for the current Jedi playing the political game with the Mandalorians to continue their work.

However the Mandalorians had given the Master of the Order no reason to trust them, or their intent to depart the system, or republic space in a peacful manner. To this end he contacted the planetary defence forces, and alerted the Republic fleet to a potential threat on world. He even went so far as to establish a continuous communications link with one of the fleet's capital ships in order to ensure that if the mandalorians jammed comms, or did anything too agressive, they would be alerted and the fleet would be able to arrive and decimate the fleet that had appeared.

For all intents and purposes, Carn was simply waiting for the agressive party to take it one step too far - and so was the combined might of coruscant and the republic fleet.

Ah, the scent of warm tea was refreshing. It had been quite the exhausting day for the Master. Training, training, training and then some more training. It was just a typical day in the life of the Master, but he did enjoy a break every once in a while. He was sitting somewhere in the temples where it was quite and where he had a good view of Coruscant. It was a great view. The clear sky, the lights of Coruscant, the speeders and ships flying around. It was as fascinating as the first time he had seen this. Hayato took a quick sip from the tea. Perfect, as always. Some of the Jedi in the temple made excellent tea. Then he looked out again, ships had appeared in the sky and shortly afterwards he sensed an general feeling of uneasiness, as if everyone had either sensed or experienced something that caused great concern. ''Well, something had to ruin my day.'' He said. Then he quickly drank the tea and started going towards some place where he could help with something. So there he was, wandering through the Jedi Temple in search for someone who could point him into the direction of people who could tell him what had caused this sudden change in emotions.

"Correct, I am here to bully you into submission. My presence is only to cause terror and yes I am seeing a lot of red. Red is pretty much all I see these days. But you are not to blame for that, you are just the unfortunates that have to suffer my wrath and you would be mistaken to think I cannot see clearly through it. You can thank our current mand'alor for subjecting you to such poor political prowess. It is at his request I am here, so I speak for him. With that in mind you will listen."

She stopped pacing. "This fleet will stay here, until you comply with my requests. Anyone attempting to leave the system will be stopped. The time to abide by your diplomacy is over."

She cut the transmission and looked to Larraq. "I get the distinct impression we're going to be here for a while."

The Grandmaster looked out the window again.

"They don't look like they're leaving for the Anaxes system to me, Master" he said, tilting his head. Were the Mandalorians truly this soulless, to bring terror to innocents for no reason but to bully and get what they want?

Bloody warmongers, the lot. Ah, if only Aleidis could see this. The poor girl would be throwing a fit.

"I told them that you would contact them if you agreed to be there, Grandmaster. If you wish to meet them at Anaxes, I will tell them. If you are to meet with them though, let it be on your terms. Bending over backwards for these guys will send a bad message to the Republic member worlds - that we can be pushed around easily. Do not let that happen. Strike the balance of diplomacy and strength.

Recognize your position, recognize theirs.

They're on the rise. They want to show their strength; they thrive on that. Show them that we won't be cowed by thuggery. That is my advice. If they don't leave, however, we will have no choice but to open fire. They're likely banking on that so they can play the victim."

Yusan sighed and spread his arms to the Senators in the main chambers. "Senators, i suggest you all get to safety, things do not look like this if going to go well. As Keeper of Order in the Senate i dismiss this meeting." Yusan turned to @[member="Jack Harkness"] and nodded. "If you would excuse me Chancellor Harkness, i think its about time for me to leave, i also must ask that you get yourself to safety, you dont need to put yourself in the way of harm. If you don't mind my leaving i think that there comes a time when one must do his duty and who would i be to just shirk off that duty at the moment. Though i do want to ask what you plan to do about the whole situation in truth, do you think the Jedi would truly shoot down those that tried to evacuate the planet?" His hand worked at the Datapad, attempting to link it to the Jedi that he knew more from several experiences with, those being @[member="Carn Dista"] and @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] should they let him connect to them through comm channel.

He nodded a bit. "Aye..." he began. "We will not be bullied into meeting on their terms. Tell them that I will go and meet them. One of them. A representative, or the Mandalore himself, on Anaxes" he said calmly, yet with a firmness that told he wasn't happy about the proceedings.

"Is there anything else, Master Preacher? I need to prepare my ship" he added, taking a breath.

Aedan Miles was pacing before the troops of the Red Legion all of them wearing the symbolic red armor that they had been issued when volunteering or being conscripted. The armro had been specifically made for each of them so it fit their species perfectly. The only member of the Red Legion not before him was the Dragon @[member="Polarius"] who was in a docking bay somewhere or on a ship that would shuttle him to the surface should their presence be necessary. After he made sure his men were all situated correctly he quickly barked out a series of commands and the men went to find someplace to wait on standby for the call to come and if it did not then they would stand down and prepare for the trip home. With that Aedan turned and made his way towards the bridge of the Mythosaur hoping to be present there as things went down.

Aedan strode onto the bridge of the Mythosaur his helmet pulled over his head as he looked around. The newly appointed general of the Red Legion wore the symbolic armor of his men. He looked around absently before he reached up and pulled his helmet from his head so he could see clearly. He looked at the field marshal and saluted her lightly as he looked around. "Field Marshal the Red Legion is on standby as ordered."
