Suffer the Consequences of Your Actions [Republic/Mandos]

Mia nodded slowly though her stomach was twisted into knots. The truth about a commander in the mandalorains was this, you did not control your men, the mand'alor did not rule. You made suggestions your men wanted to follow, so it was important to listen to what they thought, only then could a judgement be made. "Arm the missiles." she said finally to @[member="Captain Larraq"] "Target the Temple and open the hangar bay doors."

She turned to @[member="Preliat Mantis"] "If this becomes a fight, which it undoubtedly will, I want your men in drop pods. You will secure the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and any Senators, eliminate any Jedi that stand in your path. @[member="Aedan Miles"]," she turned to the commander of the legionnaires. "Have your men ready to depart for Annaxes."

She highly doubted after this move that they would be going anywhere, she fully expected at this point for the game to become nasty. She opened the channel once more to the Jedi. "The fleet will remain, Jedi Master." she said firmly "I will meet The Vice Chancellor and The Grandmaster on Annaxes."

(( Well.... Josh is LOA now, ill poke him when hes needed @[member="Mia Monroe"] but i guess youre stuck with me mostly...))

Yusan's feet carried him into the transport ship, ushering in @[member="Stray"] and @[member="Carliah Dakrone"] before looking to @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]. "Well, lets get this underway now why dont we, i mean, what better time than now to prove the political prowess of the Republic over the Mandalorians?" He smiled and took a seat and waited for the ship to start its ascent, its engines werent the loudest but he found himself deaf to anything else, to Carliah or to Joshua. His heart was beating faster than he wanted it too and that was something that he was not so simply going to let drop as it kept his eyes moving, even in the ship as it entered Hyperspace he found himself hoping that no one stopped it.

-A Few Hours later-

Yusan stood with his hands crossed behind him at the meeting table on Anaxes, his eyes scanning the door, waiting for the other party to arrive and show its ugly face. Beside him, sitting, was Joshua Dragonsflame, Grandmaster of the Jedi Order and peacemaker of the Republic. He and Yusan both knew that peace was better than war and Yusan would not let a war begin on his account unless everything reasonable was done, his hand tapped on the table as he stood there nervously. Carliah and Stray were off in another room, kept under watch by a full squad of elite troopers, which had been his own personal guard that had been provided by the Anaxees forces, but he would rather see those two defended when Yusan knew how to fight himself.

And so he waited and waited, watching for the woman who had been on the channel.

"Sir!" Barked a clone manning one of the nearby consoles. "The Fleet is informing us that the Mandalorian have opened their hangars." One could only presume then that they were arming their weapons, as well. "Get me in contact with the Fleet." There was a pause. "Sir, looks like @[member="Carn Dista"] is already in communication."

"..then get me Master Dista."

The man nodded and a few moments later, he had what he wanted. "Master Dista, inform the fleet to arm their weapons. The Mandalorians now have five minutes to vacate our airspace."

Giving a nod to another communications officer, he gave another order. "Contact Shield-Comm. Overlap the shields above the Temple and the remains of the Senate Building which are still being repaired." The order was given. Sarge was feeling the weight on his shoulders again.

"Mandalorian, that was not the agreement. The Vice Chancellor and Grandmaster will remain on Anaxes only so long as that fleet leaves our planet. If not, they disappear until such a time as it is safe to return here. It has been about ten minutes since I gave you an hour.

You now have five minutes. Leave, or we open fire." They'd no doubt be registering the weapons of the Republic fleet arming and locking on their vessels.

Carn relayed the information calmly to the fleet. If the Mandalorians chose to remain where they were, in less than five minutes the ships around coruscant would open fire. And the moment that happened, any and all ships in the nearest systems would leap through hyperspace and open fire on the mandalorians from their other side, effectively penning the agressors in with a most lethal net of firepower from two sides and thr planet.

If the mandalorians remained, they would face complete annihilation by the republic. If they left however... Well. There would be no lives lost, and the peace would remain shaken, but intact.

Rygel Larraq nodded silently at @[member="Mia Monroe"] before issuing the orders. She had the cargo manifest staring her in the face, so she either knew what she was getting into or she was in for quite a shock. Either way, Larraq didn't care about her reaction. The Mando'ad simply began issuing orders from his chair.

“Dreadnoughts and Assault ships, open missile tubes and prepare a triple volley of Nuclear Missiles. Kad'ika Cruisers are to open missile tubes and arm five volleys of Ion Ram'or Assault Missiles. All ships ready all fighters and open hanger doors.” Larraq barked out in quick succession. “Prep the fire-ships for immediate deployment order the Haran'uliik's to spin up their Vulcan Cannons to standby mode. The rest of the fleet is to keep their weapons in standby as they prepare to provide covering fire.”

Larraq was about to issue targeting orders to his fleet when a massive energy spike from the planet set off alarms on the bridge of the Mythosaur. A junior officer reported what his sensors were telling him and the holographic projection was adjusted accordingly. Someone on Coruscant had stacked the planetary shields over a single location. As it would happen to be, that location was directly over the Jedi Temple.

“Self-centered fool.” Larraq mumbled to himself as he stared at the holoprojection. He had no idea why the Jedi would chose to save themselves at the expense of the rest of the planet, but perhaps they truly were no better than the Sith. Even had he targeting the Jedi Temple before the shields were raised, targeting a location with missile weaponry is far harder to detect than when pointing the barrel of a gun at a specific location. Whatever the Jedi were doing, it was not as a reaction to Mandalorian agression. The jetti were choosing to save their own backsides. “Fine then.” Said Rygel Larraq to no one in particular. “Reap what you sow.”

Pressing the button on the arm of his chair that routed his voice to all ships in the formation, Larraq continued his orders. “All weapon systems target the city itself. I want missiles hitting in a 3km ring with the Jedi Temple at the center. Leave nothing standing but the temple itself. Let the galaxy know that the Jedi would rather save themselves and their precious temple than the millions of families that live in the surrounding cities.” Larraq said with a cold and heartless edge to his voice. “No ship is to fire until my express orders are given.” Larraq added as an afterthought.

It was then that the voice of the Jedi returned to the bridge as speakers broadcast his voice onto the leaders of the Mythosaur. This time, when @[member="Mia Monroe"] opened her mouth to answer, Larraq held up a hand to give her pause.

Larraq wanted to speak with the Jedi himself.

A simple nod from the woman was all the confirmation he needed. Standing, Larraq began broadcasting his voice to the Jedi.

“At no point was an agreement made, Master Jedi.” Larraq said with obvious contempt. “You issue demands like Sith and expect the galaxy to tremble before the mighty Jedi and their sacred temples. You are as vane and arrogant as any darjetti I've ever met and as quick to violence as one. You've dictated your terms and we've dictated ours. But it's time for you to stop your posturing and recognize the position you are putting yourself and your people into.”

Hitting another button, Larraq began broadcasting the conversation on all frequencies. “You can dictate terms and threaten with violence all day long Jetti. But this fleet will not move until the clans desire it. We want peace. We are here for peace. We have come before you today and asked quite simply that you bring your leaders to us that we may negotiate continued peace between our two nations.”

“The Mando'ade are a people of honor. We have no desire to bring war to the galaxy. But your continued aggression forces our hand. You have done nothing but threaten to open fire upon our ships should we fail to fleet the system. You accuse us of holding your planet hostage, yet we have made no such claims. We are simply here.”

“And yet you continue to threaten violence. The kind of violence that invites nothing but war, Master Jedi.”

“So we will ask you one last time. Will your leaders meet with us today, here and now to broker peace? Or do you invite war to the Republic?”

"You amuse me, Mandalorian. I make demands because you are in our space. I make demands because you have brought a fleet armed for war into our orbit. You would ask us to leave as well if we appeared above Mandalore. You are trying too hard to make us look the villain."

Coruscant's planetary shields functioned like any other with shutter shields. There were multiple large shield generators scattered across Coruscant, put into place by the Imperials. They protected large swaths of the planet, but it was impossible for a shutter shield to cover the whole planet at once. For a planet like Coruscant, a shutter shield was likely better considering the important buildings on the surface. So while yes, the Jedi Temple had two pieces of the shield over their building - it still covered huge swaths of the sky, and the Navy was moving in to cover and protect any areas the shields weren't covering in that moment. He'd pulled the shield over for a reason.

He now knew they had been planning to attack the Temple straight away.

Not that it really mattered. Seemed the Mandalorians were going to open fire.

"So let me just get this straight... again. You show up, not liking that we're operating in your space. I get that. I understand that. You feel we won't want to talk. Sure, I'll give you that too; we haven't the greatest track record considering how often our leaders are interchanging.

But here's where you lose me.

We ask you to leave. You state firmly that, despite illegally being in our airspace, you will not move. We did not actually enter your territory and break your laws, so you come in here to break ours. I fail to see how we are to simply accept this because you 'want peace.' A peace you demand with warships in our orbit.

I am merely doing my job, Mandalorian. I am demanding that you stop terrorizing our population with your needless posturing. But you seem content to pretend to sit upon a high ground you do not own. There is no high ground in this situation. There is merely a Jedi asking you to remove your fleet from orbit so you can meet to discuss the treaty you desire... and a Mandalorian arming his fleet to attack a planet that has simply asked them to leave.

Granted, yes, I have said we will open fire. But again, you have broken our laws by bringing this fleet into orbit, and I have done my best to reach peace - but even Jedi do not do peace at the cost of fear. If you want peace, show us you want peace. Leave now, meet at Anaxes. I have already informed the other that other than the Planetery Defense Force there, there will be no fleet. You are allowed to bring your own escort since apparently you need one.

But again, Mandalorian, you seem to be pulling at facts that suit what you desire." And no, through all this, did the man sound anything less than serious, but he certainly did not sound angry or agitated.

"So it is I who will ask you one last time, Mandalorian. Leave and meet in what is literally the next system over. We just had war on this planet not even a handful of weeks ago, and yet you seem content to not care. You know as well as I that I cannot just hand you our entire power structure. Not when you show up clearly prepared for war.

So it is well within my right to tell you that, while I will not give the order to open fire, the Navy will certainly do so. It is simply because we desire peace that they did not do so the moment you showed up and demanded our leaders. Do you not understand how that sounds? Or do you simply not care?

I do not want war. I want peace. But you do not want peace, Mandalorian. You want people to think you want peace. You are not negotiating, you are demanding. That is not how a peace is made. My only demand is that you remove the fleet from orbit so that we can negotiate on a planet where your fleet isn't hanging in orbit ominously.

This is on you Mandalorian. Open fire and be destroyed... or make a three minute hyperspace jump to Anaxes and meet there. Because from where I stand, in this moment, you aren't looking for peace.

You're looking for an excuse."

The ship Sabrina was on landed, on a a planet called Anaxes, she had no idea where it was. It felt surreal, she was on unknown planet to her, getting ready to possibly risk her life, against an old enemy of sith, for her current enemies. She had no choice but to be here, as she need access to information, and only way to get that information, was joining the mandalorians. She had no love for the republic, they have dead, just for being. Then again if she was discovered by the mandalorians, she be dead in hart beat, as she new these people no longer served hers, which was their rightful place in galaxy.
This whole scenario, was utter bantha podo, these people should read the sith code, and it`s enlightened message. First line peace is a lie, well it`s true it`s is, it`s merely acknowledging a universal truth. It`s not say, go to war, or go out and kill, it`s saying nature their is and will always be conflict of a sort. If people don`t acknowledge peace is a lie, then they won`t be doing anything to stop war, and thus bring chaos war to them selves.
Their is only passion, well that`s true too, but it`s what you do with it, is what matters. Also it`s what you don`t do with it matter`s too, if the republic did not break a treaty, the mandalorians would not felt slighted, raising their passion. Then madalorains would not be here, feeling that the republic had insulted their honor, and now they given fear to the republic. That fear will now drive the people, to want to protect them selves, from this happening again. Which could happen many ways short term, but ultimately they will want better defense, which will mean the mandalorians will armed them selves more, in preparation for war.
Through the raised passions, they both going to eventually arm them selves for war, that will give them both strength. This increase their power they have, and influence, as other nations will be more scared of them. Question the sith code will ask here is, who is the powerful, the republic or the mandalorians. Who ever has the most power, will have victory, and it`s them shall be free, the others will wear yolk around them one way or another. Then force shall set other one free, to do as they see fit. Well till some one else has the passion to try again.
It was weird, reciting the sith code, and putting it to current event, calmed her as she the red guard marched out, as a welcoming committee for the republic. They where all here, because some one ignored the sith code, then again even sith don`t a ply it properly all the time. They some times use the first part to mean, they should be war, it never said war though, it`s say peace is a lie.
She stood to attention, waiting for orders, some thing in her mind thought it already been decide, they are now looking for excuse to fire. They where both as bad as each other, the mandalorians for coming with such a large task force, and the republic, for forgetting these people worship war. It was all banth podo, as she was only here to help, free serenno from the mandalorains, as they insulted the nobles honor when they their, and just demand they surrender. Thus inflaming the their passions, which means they looking for strength, to gain power, for victory, so force will free them form the mandalorians.

Mia did not give Larraq the go ahead to speak. She hadn't even moved, she merely stared at him in a stunned silence before she recovered herself anger bubbling up from beneath the surface. "Rally Master Larraq," she barked not bothering to cut the line so the Jedi would hear her, eyes glittered with rage at his insubordination. "You did not have my permission to speak. You will shut up or I will make you shut up." They had made their point, today was not the day for a war to begin and Mia had had enough.

She turned her attention to the Jedi, "We will leave." She offered no apology, she simply ended the transmission and opened one to the fleet. "Stand down and prepare for a hyperspace jump. As of now, Rally Master Larraq is relieved of his duty of command until I see fit to restore it." She was glaring at Larraq as she spoke, one by one the hangar bay doors began to close and missiles were disarmed. "Get off this bridge, Larraq." she said quietly as confirmations began to come in that ships were ready to jump. She turned her back on him and back towards the viewport "Jump to the Annaxes system on my mark."

She ran a hand over her face, peace was not an option now, now they were just stalling. They didn't need an excuse, to start a war. For a sickening moment, Mia thought she was about to be at the start of it. "Mark." she said after a moment and Coruscant blurred and disappeared as stars once again became streaks across the viewport. She could feel the galactic sigh, the relief that washed over the crew as the mandalorain fleet disappeared from above Coruscant.

A few minutes in hyperspace and the fleet remerged in the Annaxes system. "Hold here." she commanded, not allowing the fleet to come into orbit. "Prepare a yacht for me to go to Annaxes. Preliat, You have command of the fleet. Don't be a karking di'kut please." She swept from the bridge and towards the hangar bay.

@[member="Sarge Potteiger"] @[member="Captain Larraq"] @[member="Preliat Mantis"] @[member="Yusan Fenn"]

Sarge slumped backwards into the nearest seat, a heavy exhalation leaving his lips although it was far from a sigh. Whatever tension he'd been storing in his body slowly released, to be filled with a sinking feeling at the pit of his stomach. Even though he'd caught the tail end of the Mandalorian 'conversation', he knew now that war was on the horizon for sure.

A war with a people the Republic had once helped save. Ironic, truly.

Some of the clones manning the nearby stations were looking at him, faces nearly despondent. They too knew what this meant, and they too had mixed feelings. Of course, as with anyone, there were a couple who would be excited by the prospect. But for right now, this was a somber time. He did not envy the people who dealt with situations like this on a regular basis.

Resting his hands on the arms of the chair, he pushed himself up and straightened his robe. "Give the order to move the shields back into place and have the civilians returned to their homes." The fleet would stand down on its own. Sarge needed a drink.

A heavy, knockout drink.

Preliat nodded, and made the commands for his men to prepare in the pods. He turned back to Mia, and made a ghostly gasping sound."Fleet? As in...the..whole....fleet..."Preliat glanced at the command deck. The crewman looked to their new leader. He made a meeping sound. He glanced around, and then folded his hands behind his back, setting his helmet on the Captain's chair. He glared at each of his men, walking down the bridge, giving each man a hard stare, before he reached the window, glancing out to the vast emptiness of space, blackness staring back at him, peppered with white specs of light and the visage of the planet below. He rocked back and forth on his heels.

"I have no idea what I'm doing. But, uh....we're just waiting. So...I hereby give the order to wait."

"Good work Master Preacher, I certainly couldn't have done that." At first glance to owner of the voice appeared to be any other clone, but no, this was the original. As always he was flanked by two guards, clones of himself, and wasn't thrilled about it, the boys made him look like a self centered ass. Not to mention he could handle himself.

Jorin had been monitoring the situation for the entire duration, but protocol kept him in a bunker, not the command room. Or a hanger, getting loaded up for a boarding operation. Regardless, he was here now, and he'd try and help however he could. "Congratulations on averting a war." He complimented, extending a hand out to the Jedi Master. Of course Jorin knew it wasn't over yet, the Fenn and DragonsFlame, who'd risen from the backwater podracer Jorin had found on Tantooine and brought to the Jedi, to Grand Master. Yeah, Cody was impressed.

@[member="Cody Jorin"]

Sarge knew this man, and this man knew Sarge. He just didn't know that he knew the Jedi known as Preacher. "I like to think anyone is capable of the necessary patience if what's on the line is important enough." The Jedi says with a pleasant, accented voice. He'd noted long ago that he was surrounded by Jorins.

But if it weren't the Fett clones it would be someone else.

Dropping his visored gaze to the outstretched hand, a crushgaunt extended and gripped his firmly - although he was mindful not to shatter his hand. Amusing no one had commented on the fact that he was wearing beskar'gam; not even the Mandalorians had. Funny, that. "Make no mistake, Master Jorin," and it was clear 'Master' was simply being used as an honorific not unlike 'Master Jedi' when talking to any member of the Order, "we are on the precipice of a great war. I have delayed what is likely inevitable."

He turned his head almost forlornly to the communications console. "The fact it took the Mandalorians so long to reign in their Rally Master tells me it was something they all wanted to say, in some manner. I pray that I am wrong, but the Force works in mysterious ways, and we will see in time what comes to pass."

While he'd almost sounded stricken with sorrow for a moment, his tone was decidedly hopeful. "I did not expect you to be on Temple grounds, however." He remarks, hoping to be the subject. "To what do we owe the honor of your visit."

A base had been set up on Anaxxes for Grandmaster (During this RP anyway) DragonsFlame and Vice Chancellor (During this RP) @[member="Yusan Fenn"] to wait for an negotiation with @[member="Mia Monroe"] or whoever the Mandalorians were sending.

"I wonder if we should have stayed" the Grandmaster finally said to Yusan, giving a sigh as they had been waiting. "The fleets should have been pulled out and they should have been here awhile ago. I don't like this. Be on your guard" he instructed.

After the little terror attack from the Mandalorians on Coruscanti citizens, he didn't trust them very much. Justifiably, of course. He would have said he would trust them as far as he could throw them... But with the Grandmaster's strength (Which he didn't tend to show off), he could probably throw an individual Mandalorian pretty far. He'd find a comparison eventually.

On Coruscant

Rianna stood with her hands behind her back, her dark eyes closed as she meditated within the force trying to see what lay ahead. The alarms of Coruscant had caused citizens and Jedi alike to take pause and look to the skies.

Rianna stood in a place that would test her loyalties, and her duties. She was married to a mandalorian, she was a Jedi. She could not raise a hand against the mandalorians many of them were friends or family.

What would her old master have advised? Rianna already knew, Valeria would have said you should not have married it creates a division of ones loyalties. But. She smiled she could not resist the charms of the her husband, it had been more than that much more.

Her love of the order, this was always her haven, her balance point.

If the Mandalorians went to war with the Jedi, what would she do. That was why she meditated now, seeking an answer.

Yusan smiled and grinned widely at @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] as they waited for @[member="Mia Monroe"] to show and reveal herself to the Republic representatives. Yusan's hands crossed themselves on top of the table and his eyes stared at the door before them and spoke to Joshua again while they waited. "Again, dont worry, the Mandalorians arent as stupid as your giving them credit for."

[OOC: sorry guys, got caught up in other things. FYI Josh, i'm ignoring your last post as sabrina edited.]

The star yacht descended through the atmosphere and not for the first time since she'd set out on this mission, Mia felt her stomach tie itself in knots. Alone for the two minutes it took to get from the fleet to the planets surface, she quelled her anger, pushing it back beneath the surface, Gilamar had trusted her with this job. Before she had stepped down from Mand'alor and gone into hiding Mia was marked as insane by her own people, puling stunts that favoured no one. She was not insane, only broken.

That was then, this was now.

Mia stepped through the door and sat herself opposite the Grandmaster and Yusan Fenn, t latter she had crossed paths with he last me she had set foot on this planet. "For what it is worth, I'm sorry that these are the circumstances in which we have to meet, Grandmaster." She did not greet Yusan with the same attitude. "I find it incredible to see that a Jedi was doing all the talking on Coruscant. Though I can't say I'm surprised, after the last time I spoke to Senators, it was quite clear then you're all incapable."

"Oh most of the Senators are, sadly though i am not one of the incapable ones, otherwise i would be hiding in a hole with my hide pulled tight crying for the Jedi to keep me safe. No offense Joshua. And as for the last time we met i must apologize, public relations and what not, cant just bend over to help you infront of the spineless fools, no no no. I would gladly take up your previous offer about Savan, but for right now i think there is more important business to deal with, like that of our intrusion into former Sith Space and the arrival, and brainless threat, that your war fleet presented. And what worse was your threat to 'stop' evacuation ships, one of which would have been carrying my family had i not been at the Senate meeting and heard the threat." Yusan spoke with a calm and collected voice that was utterly serious and he made sure the facts were out before his entire expression changed to a much more welcoming and cheerful appearance. "Now, with that said, why dont we start, we need to stop people from dying after all best we can." @[member="Mia Monroe"]
