I took the leaf and stuck it in my mouth chewing rather furiously to ease the pain as I lay back and let the woman work. It was weird but necessary. She was a Force Sensitive. I could tell as much by the way she was trying to put my mind at ease. I relaxed as best I could, and the healer was numbing the intense pain as best she could. I started doing basic Jedi Breathing Exercises. I was still suffering from the Force Breaker Grenades so my own senses were dulled but I could recognize the subtle touch of her mind. It didn't help she was very pretty and part of me felt a little conservative. But she was a professional, so I had best let her work
She asked me a question and for a second I instinctively answered, "Mal-" before catching myself. Chiasa and I hadn't really revealed our relationship, and now she had died, and the child was in the wind nowhere to be found. "Her name was Maliha." I said quietly, realizing I had said too much and that my worry about having children was very much unrealistic. I had no partner to have them with. I had basically never accepted Her death, and never really wanted to know what had happened to the child. I figured that maybe she had gotten her out, but I didn't want to dig into that and discover horrors and nightmares again. The pain and agony I had suffered when my bond with Chiasa snapped was bad enough and had lead to me killing six people and crippling a close friend.
