I smiled broadly as he felt the ship start down towards the city, nestled between inside the tree covered surface of the planet below. Beautiful Veradune, and the place I had never really been to since my one visit due to our exile. But now that I saw it, once again, I couldn't think of a more beautiful sight. No matter where we were, all Zorrens knew this planet as home. And now that it had been freed, we were slowly making our way back. Turning my head, I found another beautiful sight. "So Sary, what do you think?"

"I want to draw it. Every tree, every stream and pond, I want to draw it all!" That was how Saryana responded to things she found beautiful. She felt an overwhelming urge to draw them. She had tried so many times to picture and draw Veradune based on descriptions Will had given her, but now that she was seeing the planet with her own eyes, she knew her simple imaginings of the world had not even come close to doing it justice. She would memorize all of Will's favorite places and draw them for him. [member="William Seraven"]

"Considering it belongs back to the zorren people, I think that can be arranged." I turned my head and kissed her cheek. After a short wait, I finally felt the ship set down and I happily got up, doing my best to wait for [member="Saryana Lynae"]. Still, it was hard to do as I could feel my tail flicking madly and my fur fluffed in excitement. Home. So many people took it for granted. I know that for a long time, no zorren would make that mistake. All I needed to decide now, was where to visit first.

Saryana came rushing down the ramp after him. The skirt of her dark blue knee-length dress was being blown around by the wind, making her look like some kind of spiritual being. She had her datapad in one hand and a bag slung over her shoulder. She was eager to see her boyfriend's home and draw everything she could. "Where too first?" [member="William Seraven"]

I grinned at her and my tail wagged happily behind me. "A place I've only seen from a distance. The capitol." In all my life, I had only dreamed of going there. The bandit coalition had taken it and armed it heavily, keeping any zorren from entering without a high risk of capture. They had claimed that mutts should be put down, not given fanciful buildings. Well, now they're words meant nothing. They were gone and the planet was open for any and all of her children. I had to refrain myself from dropping to all fours and racing off as I started for the grand city in the trees. "I've seen pictures from my parents. Its beautiful."

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's hurry!" Saryana said with a smile as she grabbed Will's hand after stuffing the datapad in her bag. She kept her eyes moving, glancing at everything around her as the made there way towards Will's designated destination. She was excited and eager to see what this world was like. It had been nice of Alex to give her a break from training and let her come with Will to see his home. The Togruta would have to remember to thank the kind-hearted Echani woman. I continued to run with her, feeling the shadow of the city as it loomed over us, though my focus on keeping pace with Saryana, kept my attentions focused on her and the road, not the destination ahead. That is, not until we actually reached it. When we entered through the city walls, I took a moment to look up and was instantly stunned. I lost all movement in my legs and my golden eyes widened at the view before me. "Holy..." It was beautiful. Even in its rubble, the tall spires rose into the air, and trees surrounded us in the lower levels. Nature and technology all mixed harmoniously into one, and yet it was nothing like kashyyyk, the only other planet I had ever seen to do such a thing.

Around us, shops bustled and the streets were walked by other zorrens, people of my own kind. One of them must have notice my expression because as I stared up at the wondrous towers, I felt a hand on my shoulder, and the natural prick of long nails. A voice spoke to me, elderly and kind. "Welcome home." At that moment, I felt the first tears fall and I cried in joy. Home. Welcome home. For so long, I had waited for those words and now that I had, it was a surreal moment, a paradise I would NEVER forget.

Saryana gripped Will's hand tight and smiled at him as the words were said. She couldn't fully understand how much this meant to him, but she had an idea. The Togruta would give anything to see her own home again, and her parents. She hugged her boyfriend and gently wiped the tears from his face before kissing him once. "Feels good to see it again doesn't it? I'll draw anything you want. All you have to do is ask. If you see something you want me to draw for you let me know." [member="William Seraven"]

I returned the kiss, my arms wrapping around her. "I'm afraid I'll ask you to draw everything." I let out a small laugh. It was true, everything about my surroundings, down to the very last detail was a wonderful sight. How many others could do this? Look upon their home and say, 'this is perfection.' I could see past the imperfections of our technology and the rubble. I saw what we once were and I was overcome with the overwhelming desire to fix it. All of it. I wanted Veradune to become the utopia my parents said it once was. As I looked around, a thought occurred to me, the grandest sight my parents had told me and it was down this road. "THE TEMPLE!" I started a dash down the road, restraining myself just enough to keep [member="Saryana Lynae"] from getting lost in my dust. But I had to see it. I had to see the Tenevi Temple.

Saryana giggled and ran after him. She was enjoying his eagerness. Seeing him so happy made her feel delighted as well. The young Togruta clutched her bag to her chest and continued to chase him. She finally caught up with him at the temple and almost dropped her bag in her surprised. The Temple was beautiful, even in it's slightly ruined state. She immediately found a good spot to sit down and begin to draw. She wouldn't leave that spot until she finished drawing the amazing temple spread out before her. [member="William Seraven"]

My eyes caught the grandeur of the capitol building, its spires rising up to the Veran sky and its colors of blacks, blues, and golds each mixing into a beautiful array. Despite my faith in Sary's abilities, I knew that any likeness made of this building could hardly hold a candle to seeing it in person. "I never thought..." Distance maybe, but to be able to stand here. In the streets and not hiding for my life. It was an impossible dream. Yet, here I was. Admiring the beauty of the grand temple of the Tenevi Order.

Sary stayed in that one spot for hours, eyes roaming the sights all around her as her hand raced across her datapad. The Togruta was desperately trying to capture the entire landscape. She knew there was no possible way for her to capture ever little detail around her, but she did her best to try. The vivid colors and in-depth details really did do a lot for her drawing though. The young woman finally stood, stretching out her cramped muscles and offering Will the pad. "What do you think?" [member="William Seraven"]

I turned away from the temple for a moment to look at Saryana's picture. "Amazing as always." As I expected, there was no way she could contain the perfection I saw, but she still managed to amaze me with her skills, making a picture that was far more than I could have expected. Offering a hand I got read to lift her to her feet. After spending the time watching people walk around them and into the temple, I was ready to head in myself.

Saryana smiled cheerfully at the praise, holding tightly to Will's hand even after he pulled her up. She had a feeling the inside of the Temple would be just as beautiful. They would definitely be here for awhile. Sary was determined to see and draw every inch of this amazing piece of architecture. The artistic little Togruta would probably have to spend a few days here to accomplish this goal, but she was determined to make it happen. [member="William Seraven"]

Bringing Saryana's hand to my mouth, I smiled and placed a kiss on the back of it before starting for the temple doors. "You know, if you draw like that all day, you're gonna run out of paper." I flashed her a grin and turned back to the building as we stepped into the main hall. There were plenty of stairs and lifts to reach the higher floors. Though this area alone was enough to boggle the mind. Tapestries of the Tenevi crest, holograms of past Valdes, and all manner of Zorrens here to pay homage to their recovering past. In such a shot time since the planet's liberation, it seemed as if the leaders had chosen to resurrect that which the Zorrens would cherish most. The memories of our glorious past with promises of a bright future.

Saryana giggled as her kissed her hand. "Datapads don't use paper genius," She teased as the stepped inside. The girl immediately dropped to the floor and started to draw again. The tapestries were beautiful and the room was so full of life due to all the people. She had to focus very hard to draw everything properly as people were constantly moving, some leaving while new ones entered. She certainly had her work cut out for her, but she was determined to capture it all. [member="William Seraven"]

A small laugh left my lips. "You'll run out of digital space then." Still, I enjoyed her enthusiasm in capturing the place and left her to her drawings as I walked around and took in the sights around me. She could work on capturing it to look at in the future. But right now, I just wanted to see the undiminished present.

She finished the drawing after about an hour, at least enough to move on. She could color it later. The former dancer was now running around looking for her boyfriend. She spotted Will by one of the tapestries and crept up behind him, placing her hand on his shoulder to startle him. Sary was feeling rather playful that day as well. [member="William Seraven"]

I jumped a bit and swiped my hand towards Sary, stopping just short of cutting her with my claws. Partly because natural Zorren instinct kept me fro hurting others without true reason, but also because I felt safe here as if nothing could really touch me. In truth, it was only years on the street tat caused me to whirl as I had. "Finished drawing?" I smiled and placed my arm around her before ooking back at the royal blues and midnight blacks on the wings and shield.

Saryana nodded eagerly and leaned against him. She would take a break from drawing things for now. The Togruta was sure they'd be here quite often now, especially with how much Will loved it here. She nuzzled her face against his neck and smiled a bit. She was feeling a little tired from being on her feet all day, but she could deal with it so long as Will remained this happy.
