Technoplant is a thing, right? [Leyan Viceritas] [DEV]

"How will you remember what they all do?"
Leyan wondered aloud. It was easy to forget that Jak knew tons more about this stuff than she did.

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Oh, it's relatively simple," Jak explained. "Each tool does only one thing, so I just have to remember which button does what. That's not too hard."

Picking up a piece of metal, he levitated it with the force, crushing it and twisting it till it was in the shape of a vambrace. "Could you pass me that leather over on the table, there, please?"

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Then I get the wrong tool," Jak said simply. "I don't think I'll press the wrong one, though."

Fastening the leather to the inner part of the vambrace, he wove a quick pattern through. "Alright... should do it..." Nodding, he quickly made a matching one.... and then made two more.

"Pass me the torch, over there, next to the tool box." He indicated the welding torch.

Leyan carefully took the torch. Her finger slipped on the trigger a little. As a small blast of flame came out, she gasped, jumping a little and quickly giving it to him before she could set anything on fire.

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Whoop," Jak deftly caught the torch when she passed it to him. "Careful with that..." Giving her a (hopefully) disarming smile, he brought the torch to the suit and fastened the arm braces to the suit with a click and a weld each. "Almost done," he grinned, moving over to the large wall of weapons and gizmos. "C'mon."

Jak's smile made her calm down. Leyan followed him to the wall of oddities. What was it going to look like when he was finished?

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak started to pull tools and equipment from the wall, murmuring to himself as he did so. He also put a smaller pile of weapons and gizmos next to the smaller vambraces, which he had separated from the main project.

Once he had pulled off all he had intended to, he started to link parts and pieces together, forming three lunchbox-sized packets.

Once he was done, he grinned at her. "Alright... now for the fun bit. Customization..." Guiding her over to a large metal machine in the far corner of the garage, he put the three chunks of gadgetry in it. "Alright... Press the green button, there." When she did, a large metal plate started to descend over the lunchboxes of tech.

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak hit a switch and small force bubbles popped up over the lunchboxes. The metal frame easily molded around each one, forming a sturdy, smooth, solid shell. Each shell looked about the same size as the other, but they all looked visibly different. "Wonderful. Thank you, Leyan!"

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak picked them up by their corners, the flat surfaces just a bit too hot to be comfortable. "Now we paint them!" Marking out a design on one of the metal chunks, he indicated the smart sprayer. "Could you paint this one? Just stay in the lines, and it'll work."

Leyan picked up the device Jak indicated to. She held it over the metal as paint sprayed out from the cylindrical opening on the end of it. She made sure it covered the entirety of the design. She wasn't quite sure why they needed to be painted, but Jak wanted it that way, so she did it.

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
The lunchbox-thingies were now sporting three elegant designs, all in three different colors: a red, bulky one, a yellow streamlined one, and a blue thin and wide one. "Alright, thanks, Leyan." Jak smiled. "We are officially done the tech suit!"
