The Battle for Corellia (New Republic Dominion of Hex U30)

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Location: Near the Spaceport
Objective: Subdue Sith Infilitrators
Allies: [member="Vulpesen"], Soon to be Savior
Target: [member="Reverance"]
Enemies: [member="Belphaegor"] [member="Jorryn Fordyce"] [member="Braith Achlys"]

Alexandra's body stopped, letting the man grab at the speeder and quickly seeing where this would lead to. That was fine though as she had plent of time to react in her enhanced state and while she had not expected him to catch it, she had expected some form of strike to come at her after the fact. With that in mind she started to step back and her mind quickly took stock of the situation best it could, figuring out her state at the moment.

First there was Reverance, who she was quickly coming to realize was not on the side of the sith who were closing in on this position. That was fine though as it meant those like Belphaegor would be occupied long enough for Alexandra to find some other means to tackle the situation. Her mind raced to the idea of simple resorting to the Light as a weapon, but such a drastic move would be ill advised with the incoming presence of Braith and Jorryn standing out of the way of the blast, meaning it would be used haphazardly and only drain herself without achieving much.

A second foot came down, stepping almost out of the reach of the speeder as it came around.

Her mind then thought on the approaching presence of Vulpesen, smiling as she knew he would be able to help deal with these beings. Vulpesen had always been a rock for her and her state now was thanks to the feelings she had for the man. It served as the anchor for her power in the force now, that love and compassion was something that he had helped cultivate, that need to connect and protect the life of the galaxy, to stand as its shield.

She wondered for a moment if he would be able to distract the two beings long enough for Alexandra to deal with the Sith that is still at an elevated position, her mind turning its focus on Jorryn but then realizing she had missed something. That something being the force blast that made her stumble forward and into the way of the oncoming speeder turned baseball bat.

Alexandra did not have the time to move, no time to change her stance or to even duck. Her hands were still raised in a ready position so she shifted her place in the force and where the force was distributed throughout her body to focus it on her arms and her torso. The speeder would connect in that next second and she would be taken off her feet, time seeming to stop for a second as she travelled with the speeder along the path that it had been swung before finally separating and being thrown from it with the force that had been generated against her body.

And like something taken out of a movie or a cartoon, her bod when flying, impacted with such force that it sent her into the air and she could not recover as she blacked out for a moment, the energy she had used and shifted so quickly causing her to fall from consciousness and into a sea of black. She was truly blind for a moment, Daeda's mind not quick enough to send her his sight, nor her own eyes returning to her. The force now too occupied with shifting once more to try and slow herself or atleast protect her back and head from what she would hit once her body was acted on by some other force. Right now she worried about slamming into a building at this speed, knowing it would cause damage to her body and mind if she did not focus on strengthing the two and protecting them.

She did not know about the Mandalorian coming to her rescue, nor that the Mandalorian would seemingly come out of nowhere.

Objective 1: Defend Republic Assets and take down Imperial leadership

Palm and heel pounded into the ground as Vulpesen raced into the fray, his eyes burning in determination until he finally saw exactly what he was seeking, though not in any ideal sense. Through the air, he could see the streak of white that was Alexandra, sent by a speeder weilding sith who's own arm was being assailed by the crimson blade of another. All of this presented a strange sight for the Valde, and given an moment he'd have likely asked what the hell was going on. He did not have a moment.

His body shot up with an audible pop from his thighs and a hand shot out to extend his presence which wrapped itself around Alexandra to slow her airborne travel to a steady halt. "Hitting a woman... how rude." His cloak flared as a set of daggers left their confines to circle around the Valde. He was here. He was ready. And after years of doing paperwork, and busting down small time slavers. He really needed a release. Stars help the man that would give it to him.

A quick scan of the area gave him all the information he needed. Three sith. Jorryn, Belphaegor and Reverance. He didn't care that they were fighting eachother. They were here for subjugation and that, he could not stand. With one hand reached out to prevent his ex from breaking her neck on a wall, the other shot out to send nine projectiles out like bullets, three for each of the dark lords with the intent to sink deep into their chests.

Squad 1: Captain Harlow
Allies: Republic Forces
Enemies: Sith Forces
Objective: 1 Capture Space Port through Military supremacy

As fast as he had come to protect the chancellor, Harlow found himself with an entirely different job. Command Republic Forces and take down the hangar. Talk about a billet promotion. Still, he took it i stride. Afterall, he wasn't a seargent or any rank meant only to lead a small force. He was a captain, responsible for defense of the Valde himself. "Wild dogs, blow us some holes! We're going in!" His hand flew up to his radio, calling in his commands to the Republic forces. The plan was simple. Blow as many holes into the wall as they needed and charge through. The existing doors were covered so they'd make new ones and flood the hangar with bodies and blasterfire.

Mand’alor cometh.

Not in her husband’s suicidal red starfighter, but more sensibly aloft her bes’uliik, Solus Rekr. Nothing could push her into the throng but Alexandra or her Kain’ik being in danger. And by virtue of his own intuition, Kain’ik was perpetually in the thick. Yet, her riduur didn’t often need rescuing. He was too well-trained a mind for the slings and arrows to get past his resolve.

It was the crunch of a starfighter flying ill in the air. The impact with a familiar body.

“Solus! Punch it!” Alex went flying. Yasha dug into the holds of her bes’uliik and spun down in a corkscrew, veering past blaster fire and slag. The Bes’uliik spat fire in front of them, clearing a path. Kicking her feet deep into the footwells of her war droid, Yasha raised her arms and snapped Alex out of the air.

“Hold onto me! Duck your head!” Yasha dug one hand into the handwell, the other arm pressing Alex against her body. If Alex didn’t hold tight, the force of Solus Rekr’s velocity could toss her, fling her around like a doll in a hurricane.

“Kain’ik, yell at me later, and help me now! Clear an exit path!” Yasha barked, banking around to fire above [member="Vulpesen"]’s head with her bes’uliik’s main blaster cannon, in a horizontal conflagrational line which if not avoided, could cut lesser beings in two.

Yasha ended her strafing run by accelerating over the Sith and Vulpesen, and finding a relatively clear spot near [member="Kaine Australis"], landed Solus Rekr. She pulled the smaller woman into her arms like a mother cradling a child, hopping down from the sentient war droid to check the Jedi over.

“Alex! Breathe in, burc’ya. Breathe in, that’s it.” Jamming a Sovereign Specific inhaler to Alex’s nostrils, Yasha let her friend take the dose of Mandalorian-made aerosolized bacta-equivalent. “The heck you get hit for? Lose a bet!? Freaking Jetii, getting schmucked in the technical sense like that. Solus, shoot anything that twitches at us.”

The Bes'uliik nodded twice its' amorphous head, and slammed both fore-claws into the ground, cannon-nose spewing bolts at every piece of slag, flimsi-leaflet and potential threat. Yasha's wolf-helm quirked to the side, baffles drawn out.

"The sapients and machines, Solus. That... that was a piece of flimsi... we have got to work on your threat assessment. Oh, and don't shoot Kain'ik! No, no! Shoot Kaine, don't shoot Kaine... which one!? Seriously!? The father of my children! Don't shoot Kaine Australis! Honestly... let the Sovereign push through your bloodstream, Alex, don't get up too quick or you'll pass out."

It was a confusing feeling that mixed in the guts of the Echani, the mixture of fear and pride that gripped her as she saw the Jedi stumble forwards right into the speeder than flung itself towards her. Jorryn couldn't help but grin as she saw the vehicle slam into the woman, throwing her a bit past where the Inquisitor was standing. At the same time she stood there and watched as the bestial man tanked every attack thrown at him, casually grabbing the speeder that would have smeared most people she knew and using it as a weapon.

The only feeling that dominated Jorryn was relief at knowing that the Vong man had too much on his plate to turn his attention to the Echani, allowing her to focus on her own efforts of escape.

The blasterfire had grown more intense and it was only pressed further as the Inquisitor felt explosions throughout the building rattling the foundations even further, her enemies clearly not patient enough to open up the main entrance. Her hopes looking even further in the dumps than they originally had as some machine snatched Jorryn's hostage clean out of the air, some armoured figure caressing her as the sped to a nearby location.

"I want that karking beast brought down!"

The Echani hardly noticed the daggers that flew her way as the command left her lips, barely able to weave her way away from them. One managed to knick her cheek, a small drop of blood coming from the wound. It was the red liquid that made Jorryn re-evaluate her decisions about the battle, renegotiating her next moves in her head.

The Inquisitor had hoped to abscond with the Jedi Master, using the redhead as a hostage to get herself off planet before executing or releasing the woman. But with the interruption of the armoured figure, she doubted it would be the smartest move to rush the mechanical figure to try to continue that effort. Even then, two hostages could be of more use than one.

The battle against the Vong figure was a useless gesture and the Zorren that had thrown the daggers was too fresh to engage in single combat, and he had already noticed the Inquisitor. There was very few options left that wouldn't leave the Echani dead or in chains, so she decided it might be best to cut her losses.

The removal of the Jedi had left Jorryn with more free area to move around, her troops pressing against some of the new openings that had been formed by enemy troops. These positions had also given the Echani more opportunities to push out into the city, where she could get herself lost until the battle subsided. A lithe hand pulled her scarf over the majority of her face, it wouldn't do to have anyone able to recognize her.

"Belphaegor!" Any semblance of focus on proper manners was gone. "it's over, get lost if you can. Meet me on Mirial if you manage to get out of this, I refuse to become some Jedi trophy."

The final warning came before she waved a hand in the air to rally the focus of some of her troops, pressing one of the new openings to make her way into the city. She finally ignited her lightsaber after so long, speeding in to the tertiary opening and letting loose some of her frustration on the soldiers closest to the entrance.

Before...

The sponge squirmed in her hand, as if it had always been alive. Because it had. Perhaps in its former life, it had known breath beneath the glass of a pond on the outskirts of some water logged world. But through the transmutation and shaping of Vong's hand, it had turned to something useful with a name that couldn't be pronounced in basic. It pressed against his back, moving salt and pepper strands of hair aside as her tattooed fingers made work of tense shoulder muscles. [You would kill her, the mother of the great clutch...]

"No." He admitted as he rested in the pool of water. The wakes of the force, rippling so subtly, had brought him to Corellia long before these moments. Something of significance, a pivot from an otherwise meaningless existence, assured his attention. "It is her choice. Not mine."

[And you would let her die...] Water streamed down his chest, dribbling across the bicep where weather beaten skin fused with the blackness of the voxyn. Leaning down, she rested her chin against his ear, as she pulled more water into the sponge.

"One doesn't command this creature. She is far too proud to be broken." It was a divergence from his typical mentality, one that sought all things broken and bent before him. In his reflection, he discerned respect.

Zeton let out a sigh and hummed, continuing to press the sponge against his neck. [Fine. I will release her upon my departure from this...place.]

Full dimensional view, tied between the single microscopic eye and the spectrum analysis of voxyn hand, guided him as he sailed on the gales of the force and modification. He wasn't surprised the speeder had made purchase against the red headed woman - in the lens of the force, he had seen it. Just as the speeder made contact, his grip released. The momentum was there and with the woman, the speeder would fly end over end. Engines still firing, he hoped it would hit the inquisitor [member="Jorryn Fordyce"]. But he wouldn't mourn if it found its way into the sky above - perhaps derailing the hopeful plans of the Mandolorian on her metal war mount.

His immediate response as his grip loosened was a simple counter measure to the attack he gave no physical credence towards - but had been his focus since he diverted the speeder. Tucking in the offending arm, he pressed his elbow against his chest, attempting to block the well known weaknesses of any mobile armor. With it, he allowed the momentum to continue, turning him towards [member="Belphaegor"]. As the blade clashed against the forearm plates of the Vonduun, the chitin padding burned hot red as it crackled beneath the heat of the elegant saber. It was folly to assume the former Wrath would disregard this figure who had thrown a speeder at him, but there were elements at play that needed his attention.

His unused left hand shot a force push at the ground beneath them, forcibly pushing them apart as he separated from the man. A dragging silhouette of gravel and dust trailed in his wake as he made an effort to discern what exactly was transpiring. Before he came to a stop, his momentum was further egged on by three ballistic pieces of metal. One hit across his shoulder, the other against the abdomen, and the other struck the tricep where the armor was weakest. His voxyn arm squealed as it convulsed, twisting beneath the armor, as it chewed up the metal. Without a moment to pass, the countenance in his palm spit out the bullet and blood, leaving it to rest in his closed fist before dropping to the ground.

A blaster round from the bes'uliik scorched the path he tread as it shot up rock and rubble. Reverance ignited Roecnar, mid step, deflecting a smaller bolt towards [member="Kaine Australis"], as another shot slapped against a quickly erected force shield. He bared his teeth as he continued his quick step in a semi circle, the clamor of metal could be heard in the distance. His presence was red hot, burning with an intensity that could never be sustainable. Tumbling down each road that led to this confluence, were bouncing manholes forcibly pulled from their frames. Like tumbleweeds in an abandoned town, they moved with no obvious purpose. Until their final bounce sent them flinging into the nearby soldiers - Imperial and Republic alike - and whoever was unfortunate to share their space.

He felt the tingle of numbness crawl up his left arm, surveying the blood shed as bodies were caved in from the force of 200 lb flat canon balls plunging into fragile creatures. Coming to a stop, he looked towards those who had gathered, tilting his neck as a shadow loomed in the distance. He could almost hear her wings flapping now. The Grutch Nul, previously happy to lick acidicly against Reverance's ear, jumped off his shoulder and propelled itself towards [member="Vulpesen"] with deafening speed. But once loosed, it's path was beyond control. Even for the man who controlled it.

His left hand ignited the Chom-Huun, the living Vong Saber - it spit a beam of orange that sputtered into a violent humming existence.

The bridge is shaking. Calm as a golden rock Sigismund was standing on his bridge, watching the shields of his ship drop into the red percentage. With a satisfaction he notices the heavy damage done by the combined bomber squadrons on one of the artillery ships. As well as seeing how the heavy Hellions are devastating and routing parts of the enemy fleet thanks to their heavier equipment and defences.

But the flagship and its sister were where they needed to be now. The close range was devastating for them, but the bulky ships of the enemy had no chance of turning fast enough, nor could they jump away, thanks to the interdictors the enemy had. In close quarters the Lightbringers could now outmaneuvre the battleships and devastate them with their heavy guns.

As support the Commodore orders the second line corvettes to attack one of the battleships as well.

The Sheol would immediately turn its attention to the Quark, the Star Destroyer-sized warship engaging the heavy cruise with its firepower. The corvettes, while damaged, engaged the Rom with their SBeams and other weapons. The fighters would continue to pursue the Redscythe in an attempt to destroy it - over two dozen TIEs and ten Eightguns were backing up the attack of Keira as she pursued the rogue Mandalorian.

Identification of the ship was confirmed, having been cross-referenced to a variety of different databases. It was the personal fightercraft of Kaine Australis, the Mandalorian that had been responsible for attempting to spark a conflict with the Mandalorian Empire and the Sith Empire on multiple fronts. Vanessa personally wished to see him dead or at the least crippled after he had taken the Mandalorian dreadnaught and used it to force a Sith retreat, assisting in the destruction of over thirty-five percent of Sith fleet assets in Commenor at the time. Only the involvement of the Saturn in destroying the monstrous ship's main gun had prevented those casualty numbers from rising even higher.

"The pilot who brings me confirmed proof they destroyed Australis' fighter will become a wealthy man."

The Void Irregular Fleet did not typically fill the role of buffer duty, but in this instance, such was the role that had been assigned to it. That said, even it was having difficulty in ensuring the forces attacking the 6th Fleet were able to hold on and survive. The EX-A in particular had lost shields and was taking a beating from the onslaught, even though it kept up the assault against the Pickle Rick with its secondary weapons. The super-heavy beams charged up for another fusillade before releasing themselves - whether such would be critical damage, the captain of the warship did not know, though he was unsure as to how much more his ship could take. One thing was certain, however - if they could destroy the Pickle Rick and force a rout of the ever degrading 6th Fleet, it would allow pressure to be reduced on other assets in the system and the Experimental Task Force could be retreated to a safer position. EX-A in particular would need work if it survived this.

As for the Void Irregular Fleet, it would continue to engage the attacking ships as best it could. The super-heavy beam weapons of the Conqueror-class heavy cruisers would likely prove beneficial, and all five were here - combined they had roughly the firepower of the EX-A itself sans its armament frequency modulator. They attempted to bloody the nose of the battlecruiser, the biggest and most powerful threat as of right now. The Corvettes fired on the Ashwinder as the overall group of vessels engaged with their counterparts, composite beam lasers slicing at and trying to gut the attacking fighters. The Cyracuse drone carriers stayed back for now - they had a purpose that was yet to be fulfilled.

The 92nd was now in close quarters with their opposition and still engaging with them. The Voracitos-class ships were fortunate in that their missiles had seeker capabilities - they would still find their mark as baradium warheads would detonate against the enemy hulls even as they attempted to maneuver. The rest of the fleet continued to engage the 7th in close-range combat.

Still the Ablution and the Saturn were not yet committed to the fight, in any theater of the engagement.

The Bounty Hunters had only continued their march forwards, slowly, yet surely. It was with a degree of caution that Fett took every step ahead of him, they hunched beneath debris and makeshift cover in an effort to remain concealed. His armour may have been durable, more than most, but a target had been something he was never willing to become. Least not before he was ready to be, that is. His Rangefinder had been folded over his T-Visor, zooming his vision ahead to witness the finder details of the events that transpired ahead of him. Fett, immediately, took note of those Sith forces that departed the station, or tried too. It would seem as if they lost that battle, and his own private reservations lead the Bounty Hunter to believe that this entire planet had slipped from Imperial control. But, his thoughts weren't hired.

"They're dead." He audibly commented, sure of the truth within his statement. Fett couldn't quite find much of a reason to further an advance or engage an enemy so prepared for an assault of his own. And, as such, the Mandalorian was intent on waiting and watching, letting them create their own path to salvation.

Fleet:

The fleet came screaming out of hyperspace like a mynock out of Mustafar.

''Commander, we've just exited hyperspace.'' Admiral Nitso entered Rhane's meditation room on board the Saesee Tinn as the Besalisk finished his deep pondering. The 7th fleet was, presumably, the last to exit hyperspace. They both heard the rumblings of cannons outside and the sudden shake of a turbolaser striking the ship. The Besalisk stood up, dusted himself off and strode out of the chamber with both sets of his arms folded behind his back.

''Status report?'' he asked, finding his chair at the helm of the ship.

''The 6th fleet commander [member="Rick Kaloo"] is attempting a full retreat, Pickle Rick included. All of the shielding is down on his ships, save his command ship and some smaller vessels. Three Sith Fleets entered the battlefield shortly before us ([member="Zahori Denko"]). There appears to be several skirmishes down on the planet as well sir. We await your orders...'' Nitso deactivated the holopad he was reading off of and placed it at his side.

''How close are we to the sixth?'' Rhane asked, surveying the battlefield.

''Close enough to cover their retreat.'' Nitso smiled, sensing the Jedi's plan.

''Full power towards the sixth, attempt to block off any trailing Sith ships. Divert power from rear and off-side shields to thrusters and frontal shields. Inform the commander of the sixth of our plan.''

''Aye aye!'' Nitso turned around to a holotable displaying the fleet and broadcasted the orders to the seventh fleet.

''Commander Rick-'' Nitso began to broadcast his message to the sixth, but was cut off by Rhane who took the transmitter from him.

''Commander Rick Kaloo of the sixth, this is Rhane Varless, commander of the 7th fleet of the Silver Jedi Order. We are moving into position in order to cover you, I'd advise you to divert all of your remaining power to rear shields, we will defend your retreat.'' Rhane received the response and continued on.

As the fleet drew closer to the retreating sixth, Rhane gave more specific orders.

''Order the Tenchu Class ships to hold back and charge their hypervelocity cannons, leave five of the Essex class back with them. Move the Umbara class vessels to where the fire is most concentrated with the rest of the Essex class. Have the Immobilizer Carriers deploy their squadrons and attack only the over extended pursuing ships. And make sure we have lines of sight for the hypervelocity cannons!'' Nitso copied down all the instructions and distributed them among the vessels.

ORDERS:

Helping the sixth retreat
Leavng the Tenchu class back to charge up big guns, covered by 5 anti-starfighter ships
Moving the rest of the anti-starfighter along with heavily defended Umbara class to the front of the fighting
Carriers move to the middle of formation and deploy starfighters
Command vessel is towards the back of the middle of the formation

Pickle Rick angled downward as the rest of the fleet did, and then the third step of the Sixth's evacuation began.
As yet another allied fleet entered the system, Captain Seth ordered all remaining vessels in the fleet to convert primary power to hyperdrives. As allied comms fed into Summer, the captain prepared a final response.

[Commander Rhane, this is Captain Mark Seth. Rick's flagship has taken heavy damage, with both comms and hyperdrive destroyed. I have assumed command, and I am currently jumping my fleet to safety.]

Then, Seth cut the comms and began navigating a jump route, even as turbolasers continued to pound Summer's vulnerable hull.

At the same time, another blast from the main guns of the enemies engaging Pickle Rick threatened to destroy the ship entirely, as more and more holes pocketed the mighty flagship. Rick remained holed up in the now-dysfunctional command bridge, protecting himself and his officers in a Force bubble in case the bridge's glasteel windows were to be smashed through. Regardless, the bubble would likely not last long in the middle of a raging battle.

However, things were beginning to look up for Rick's Sixth Fleet. A route had been determined, and the active hyperdrives were now ready to be used. But before the Fleet could escape, Captain Seth had one more order to give to his fleet.

[Turn every tractor beam in the Fleet on Pickle Rick. Otherwise, it's going to be far too heavy to pull into hyperspace.]

Every corvette, frigate, cruiser, and Star Destroyer hastily obliged, beams now pocketing nearly every major area of Pickle Rick.

[Jump now, but keep the tractor beams active.]

Pickle Rick, despite its weight, was suddenly dragged forward at an incredible speed. In an instant, the Sixth Fleet disappeared.

Alexandra felt slow, thanks to the effort of Vulpesen but she was caught too, something she did not expect and could not react to quite yet as her vision was blurry and offset, the force weakened now thanks to that blasted crystal that Yasha wore. She had to take a moment and her entire body went limp as the force left it, her eyes returning to their natural color and her body no longer interwoven with the force.

It was then that she recovered and heard Yasha's voice, blinking and feeling something pressed to her nose as a medicated burst when through it causing her eyes to go wide and her to turn for a moment and sneeze out as the intrusion was not something she had expected. Her body quickly worked to assess the damage itself and she found that thanks to Vulpesen slowing her and Mandalor catching her, she had very little damage, only bruised muscles in her arms and a bruised rib.

It did not take long for Alexandra to sit up and blink, taking stock of where they were and then looking at the mandalor with a dumb grin on her lips as she spoke.

"What, can't a girl try to fly once in a while?" Was all she could come up with and her eyes became distant as she reconnected with Daeda to watch the battle, seeing Vulpesen running into the fight against Reverance but also Jorryn making her way out of the situation. Something Alexandra was not quite ready to allow.

Her body shifted, sore and still a bit unsteady from the whole situation.

"Hey, Mind giving me a lift, one of those sith are trying to get away, and I want a small bit of payback for pushing me back in the way of that speeder... Then I will need your help in dealing with that monster of a being Yasha."

Alexandra knew it was asking a lot, but she needed Yasha's help. She was in no good state to take on Reverance alone and while Vulpesen would help, she did not rely on him like in the past. Plus with her unsteady nature at the moment, even fighting that retreating Sith could become an issue.

Alexandra blinked as she felt the medication hit her but her body kept her upright, shaking her head to get it out of her thoughts and so she could focus on the task at hand.

"Oh, and thank you for the save Yasha. That would have hurt if it had been a building I slammed into."

Alex grinned and the battle turned from rescue to retribution. Someone tried to slam her friend to high heavens, clap her across the body and send her in the air?

“Umm, Alex! That’s why we have jetpacks! Take you flying proper, not like a danged fool.” Yasha grinned under her buy’ce, knowing well her friend would catch the tone in her voice. “Solus! We’re tracking the dar’jetii. Come!”

Yasha ducked under a blaster bolt meant for her head, and shifted beside Alex, covering the smaller being with her own massive body. If Yasha got hit, her beskar could take it. If Alex bit the tail end of a good shot… well, there would be more than Alex’s blood on the line.

“Aww, how sweet. I’m slightly less bulky than a building. You’re the best. Here we go! Hang on to my back, if I bank hard, you could still learn how to fly today.” Yasha picked [member="Alexandra Feanor"] up like she was a paper bundle, and set her on the back of Solus Rekr. The Mand’alor hopped on, feet and hands sliding naturally into their wells. The droid seemed to shake, buzzing with electronic twitters and chirps.

“I know, Solus. I want to turn them all to slag, too.” [member="Kaine Australis"] was squaring off against the ‘monster of a being’, and for a sliver of time, Yasha felt the gut-twist of fear for her riduur. He was getting older, relying on tricks and gear to fill the ever widening gap between the young and the wily.

“Looks like Kain’ik is squaring with him for now. Think it’s beneficial to crash his party? ‘Cause I do.” She wasn’t ready to lose him, not to a relatively meaningless battle like this. Cerani’s voice skipped through Yasha’s comm, and the Mand’alor breathed. Of course Cerani would be here to help them. When wasn’t the Twi’lek in the background making sure Kaine and Yasha were hale and whole? “Get your quarry, then we’ll take that terror down.”

Solus banked up, screaming with fire from its’ main cannon to clear a path toward [member="Jorryn Fordyce"]. She itched to catch Jorryn before too much time passed, a lingering desperation to protect her Kain’ik.

No. Kaine could take care of himself for now. Yasha had to focus on Alex, and the quivers in her stomach. She banked in passing, setting down heavy cannon fire on [member="Reverance"] to get the monstrous man moving, get him occupied and give Kaine an ‘in’. Zooming past, Yasha used her mutual targeting tether with Solus to locate the Sith, and clawed through the wreckage and troopers to hopefully snatch Jorryn in the massive war droid’s frontal claw and shake her up and down like an infant's rattle.

What could Yasha say? Solus Rekr had a mind of its' own.

“Now’s the time, Alex!”

His senses, his reaction speed, were in overdrive as CERS continued to press forward in full gear. With the momentum of the battle, he was attentive to every form of vision. Even for those that didn't feel the full ebb and tide of the force, their presence were voids in the spectrum. Like a negative image or the return of a ground penetrating radar to indicate something missing, it wasn't hard to put all the pieces together. Where his eye couldn't see, his hand could make due. And beyond the force dead nature of his biots, even a tempered presence made a mark.

He saw the red head move, force present swelling, only to be swallowed by the silhouette following the mounted woman. He saw the flare of anger behind him, before the man couldn't even lift a weapon to return fire - Reverance's awareness was hardly unknown, given the redirection of the blaster fire. This wasn't his first fight but if it was too be his last, he wouldn't be brought down by a soldier taking his time.

As soon as the trigger was pulled, Reverance pressed heavily into his left foot. A small microburst of the force sent him shimmering out of the line of fire. The five bullets struck against the ground and building where his shape used to be, sending out small detonations of radiated energy. Arcs and sparks flung out in a shimmer and Reverance stepped forward, moving in reaction as he wasn't intent on maintaining the defensive game. The mines above, noted by the incoming vessel, sent a shower of light through the arena that jabbed at the spectacle of lightning from a hundred feet away. If the former Wrath had been looking that way, he may have felt the intense pressure and momentary loss of sight. But he was depending on the voxyn to inform on these new threats, his gaze was fixed on the Mando.

As [member="Kaine Australis"] aimed his rifle towards Reverance, once more, Reverance reacted in turn. The ground had shook upon the blast of the mines, but it wasn't percussive. The force ejected from his human hand and pulled a slab of duracrete from the ground. As Kaine fired off another five rounds, it wouldn't be Reverance in the crosshairs - but instead, a thick slab of crumbling sidewalk, acting as obstacle. Behind him, the droid mount was strafing his position, sending laser bolts in his general direction. He sidestepped again, leaving his former path as the blaster fire cut up the ground where he once stood. CERS and the added strength of the Vonduun armor was enough for this particular movement, though he remained cognizant of these rounds and the way they cut gaping cavities in the rubble. Even if the slab failed, he wouldn't be there to find out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EApnhO2OIrw

Reverance heard it now, amid his quick steps, as the flutter of wings carried a shriek across the battleground. Hitting hard close by, the rag doll body of a Republic soldier plopped down in a blood spatter. Bouncing violently, twirling, it came to a sliding stop of red smear. And he heard that shriek again as he felt its presence, felt the excitable quiver of the voxyn arm as the grip on Roecnar tightened. An arc of fire napalm lit up the sky, spit in the direction of the unveiled air speeder - flown by an unknown Twi'lek. Clearly such a craft was too fast for this slow attack, but for those below - it would rain sticky fire that would burn the world to a blackened scorch.

The Nuhlrokka cut down along the thoroughfare, shriek shattering glass across the top rafters of the Starport. It was one of the largest ever grown from the swamps of Selvaris, before the great burning. Hardened spikes, sharpened to a fatal edge, clung to its legs and dragged across the ground as it flew at top speed towards the combatants. It was making its presence known.

Crazy mando ladies flying through the sky on giant awesome robots, arms that can simply eat daggers like popcorn, and sith fighting sith. He'd almost forgotten how crazy a combat zone could get. All that in addition to the flying monstrosity that was now flinging itself at his face, and Vulpesen's smug grin was turning into a confused look of 'What the kark is going on here!?' Of course, his instincts had become those of a soldier. ANd if you didn't know what it was, there was only one thing ou could feasably do. Shoot it! With the instinct taking over, Vulpesen fell back wars as the creature advanced, his hand rising up to point at the mosntrosity even as he called his pistol from his holser via the force. The feeling of durasteel slapping agaisnt his palm was all he needed for assurance that it was time to push down with his finger.

The sound of an energized blaster bolt combined with that of a gas explosion as the bullet left the barrel, the large slug racing towards the creature's screaming mouth with every intent to cut a bloody gut tearing path through its small body. "Kriffing Vong!" Vulpesen yelled out as his back hit the duracrete beneath him. Assuming he had managed to disable the vongshaped menace that had raced for his throat, the Zorren would level the blaster/slugthrower hybrid on Reverance, quickly pulling the trigger to unload the clip in the sith lord's direction to provide a nice cross fire with his mandalorian ally. He knew that Vonduun Crabs were tough. Now it was time to see exactly how tough.

At this point, he could only hope that Alexandra's disappearance was due to that of a friend. Thankfully, in the split second had seent he woman that took her, she didn't seem necessarily hostile to himself or the Republic in general. That at least, was a good sign. WIth any luck, she'd be back with the Grand Master before things got too overwhelming for the Valde. With even more luck, they would be back just in time to see him emerge triumphant.

Fleet Composition:

Well this fight wasn't going the way he thought it would, the Sith forces in the area had struck back with considerably more power and ferocity than anyone could have expected them too. John's lips compressed into a thin line, his fingers digging into the armrest of his seat as he saw the 6th fleet forced to jump for safety. The man could only spare his friend the briefest of thoughts though as he turned his attention towards the screen as Zeus constantly updated it with the information on the ever-expanding combat picture. It looked like the enemy Super Star Destroyer was turning it's attention his way, and those ships that had been targetting Rick needed taking care off too.

"Well, I guess it's time for us to stop hanging around on the sidelines now." Spinning his chair to face the red-head on communications. "General command to the rest of the fleet, have them form up to cover our rear and flanks." He fell silent as she stared at the screen for a moment, "have the Akulas and the Chernobog take up position on our flanks and link up their fire control with ours. I want to blast that SSD's support and see if we can soften it up for ion strikes when it gets closer." That only left the rest of his fleet to deploy. "I want the Alloy's flanking us on either side and have the Patrol destroyers array out behind them. After that let's have the cruisers and frigates take up position behind us where they can respond as we need them to."

The deployment of the fleet was as balanced as he could make it, clearing the path for his long-range weapons to go to work on the battlefield while still protecting the Hyperion. "Ask the Immobilizer to take up position beneath us and have the grav field power up."

Fleet deployed.

Alex had a huge grin behind the faceplate of his helmet as Captain Harlow ordered his forces to blow as many holes as they could through the piles of rubble separating them from Alexandra Feanor and the Sith forces.

"I've always liked watching things go BOOM," Alex commented to Harlow, as the Wild Dogs began punching holes through the rubble with explosive rounds. In a matter of moments, several gaps began to appear in the rubble, wide enough to allow the Republic forces and their allies through. Alex waved his team of Republic Knights forward.

"Our main objective is to find Master Feanor and...." Alex trailed off as he noticed a war droid with two figures clinging to it flying overhead, one of which was Alexandra Feanor. "Correction. Capture the Space Port. We may be facing several Sith Lords. Be careful."

Alex turned to Captain Harlow. "We're ready when you are, Captain."

Just then, an ear piercing shriek echoed overhead as a monstrosity the likes of which Alex had never witnessed in his entire life swooped down from the sky.

"I suppose I'd better not even think of asking ask how this day could get any worse," Alex said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I've seen ugly before, but this one definitely wins the prize," one of the other Knights commented. "What is it?"

"I haven't a clue," Alex answered. "Whatever it is, I doubt it's here to help us out."

The 6th Fleet had been driven back and given an extremely bloody nose. The Pickle Rick had been damaged to such a degree that it was unlikely it would see use for several months - the other casualties were also grave, rendering this a successful test of the Saturn design. Unfortunately, that would come at a cost - as Rhane's forces joined the Wookiee task force that assailed the vessels, the EX-A could no longer maintain integrity. The vessel was split in half by enemy fire, the back half's antimatter reserves detonating and sending both the bridge and the forward section into space. If there were any survivors, they sure as hell would need to hope and pray they survived.

The Void Irregular Fleet itself had not been directly engaged, but right now the D-Variant Saturns - the only ones remaining - were being forced to remodulate their weapons, redirecting power to shields in an attempt to withstand the barrage of fire coming from the incoming fleets. The Void Irregular Fleet had moved to help block the attack, and one of the hostile fleets was yet to engage, but the situation was not looking good right now. The Scrapmetal drone squadrons launched from the Cyracuse drone carriers were speeding through space, on their way towards the Gaaradiik as the fire of their supporting ships suppressed incoming fighters. They were heading specifically to one point on the battlecruiser's hull - its hangar.

And now the battle was joined. The SJO's pride and joy, a Star Dreadnaught of unparalleled size and power, had entered the battlefield along with its fleet. Now it was time for Vanessa's gambit to be played.

Twenty Saturn-class battleships entered the field of conflict. As of now, these were all of the Saturns, in concert with their brethren in the experimental task force and Saturn herself, that existed. Vanessa was risking them all in a bold attempt to harm what the Silvers assumedly considered to be their most valuable warship.

The Saturns, 5 O-types and 15 D-types, gathered at long range from the Silver fleet, beginning the modulation process. These ships were so fresh off the manufacturing line that they had not been given any squadrons of actual fighters. In fact, their hangars were full of nothing but Scrapmetal drones. And today, that would be beneficial.

Today was most certainly not the Echani's best day.

It certainly did seem that the universe was conspiring against the Inquisitor as her focus was pulled away just before she could claim her first kill, the loudness nearing her managed to take her attention from the killing blow. Jorryn's hand caught midair as she saw the sparkling of flames reflected in her victim's visor, throwing him back with the force before she turn to give the wreckage hurling towards her full attention.

"Get down!"

The command probably did more harm than good at that point for her troops, the scraps of the vehicle flying through the air not slowing down for the foot soldiers to gather themselves enough to dodge it. Jorryn flowed the force into her motions, gliding down behind some small space of rubble from the shatter ruin of a building that she now stood in.

The flaming carnage split apart as it flung towards her squad, crashing violently into several of the troopers that she had hoped would help her clear an exit for her escape. It didn't take long before a piece of the machine managed to find it's way to the inquisitor, smashing off of the ceiling before barreling into the rubble she lay behind.

The thick stone slab barely managed to hold the brunt of the force, slamming it back into the Echani as she lay against it.

There was only a bright flash for a few seconds, but it had been longer than she thought. The rest of the debris and flames covering what had been the force she had brought with her, many of those that didn't find themselves torn by the metal were now being cut down by the Corellians that opened the breach in the first place.

The Inquisitor winced in pain as she tried to raise herself, dropping back to one knee as her head began to throb. Pressing against the spot with her hand and pulling it back only showed a viscous red liquid, the first time in a long time that she had seen her own blood. At this point the Echani wasn't even sure if anger was what she felt at this point, moreso that she was just done with this entire planet.

Lifting herself once more, she surveyed the battlefield with a lightheaded fog surrounding her vision. Pulling the lightsaber that had been knocked a short bit away, the buzzing she thought just in her head became more of grinding. Jorryn turned to the direction the sound was now clearly coming from, the anger that had been knocked from her returning as she saw the massive metal behemoth speeding towards her. The few men that she had left being butchered by it's guns as it strafed clear towards her, the Jedi master that had been knocked away and the giant armoured figure that caught her both riding the basilisk.

"I want everything on that beast!"

Both hands reached out to more of the damaged support beams, gripping them with the force as the lasers fired around her. The Echani's face strained as she tried to focus through the buzzing noise in her head, digging her heels in as the beam began to crack and split. Eventually it managed to free itself, the Inquisitor hoping it would crush the beast and the pair on it or at least delay them. Jorryn had never had to deal with the Mandalorian war machines before, but hopefully enough stone could bring the basilisk to heel.

Location: An ideal vantage point
Allies: Sith-Imperials
Enemies: New Republic forces and allies
Objective: Observe

It had been a rather spirited affair, her tea had almost spilled from the numerous concussions and explosions in the distance and near. But, there was no longer any point in wasting assets with this warlord at present. She had plenty of data to take back to Bastion, plenty of notes for the Emperor's Council to pour over, but now the task was to get the rest of their assets out of the conflagration near the spaceport. Bringing out her comlink, she connected herself first to Admiral [member="Zahori Denko"]

"Admiral, form evacuation corridors for our forces on the ground and hold them until they have retreated. We've learned all we needed to from this engagement."

She sent a message to [member="Vanessa Vantai"] that she was to keep the enemy engaged until she saw the proper moment, and then fall back to a rallying point for traversal back to friendly space. Corellia was lost and they did not need to waste more Sith lives in this endeavor. With that sent off, she turned her attention back to her datapad. A simple few clicks of the hardlight keyboard and every Sith soldier would receive the same coded transmission. Fallback to predetermined evac points if able. If not, slow them down as long as possible.

And now... she closed her eyes and allowed her Force Presence to return. Across Coronet City, several shadowy ravens answered their master's call. One, in particular, had been watching the spaceport, and from it, Taeli would send a sharp jab of her presence to [member="Alexandra Feanor"] as a gentle warning to let the Echani girl go and deal with other matters. Taeli would be very interested in hearing Inquisitor [member="Jorryn Fordyce"] and Inquisitor [member="Belphaegor"] give their reports. The raven would alight down to the Echani girl's shoulder, eyes glowing a faint red.

Errrembuhr's goal had been accomplished. The Sixth Fleet had pulled out in full, and as a bonus, the lead ship attacking [member="Rick Kaloo"] had been destroyed by the heavy concentration of fire Wyyyschokk fleet had put onto it. Unfortunately now the attention had turned to his own fleet, but the Wookiee wasn't afraid.

The Gaaradiik was now the primary target of heavy fire. Errreembuhr however had personally seen to its after-market additions and modifications, and they came in handy here. A nykkalt stealth structure muddled the abilities of even high-end targeting systems aiming at the ship, making it practically impossible to target except manually. And at the ranges of fleet combat, that was easier said than done. The majority of what was fired his way went wide, with the few lucky shots that were on target gobbled up by its powerful molecular shielding. For a battlecruiser it was on the smaller end of things, but it was built to last.

The other ships in the fleet however weren't quite as heavily protected. The Ashwinder in particular was taking heavy fire, with its shields barely standing up to the onslaught from multiple ships. Errreembuhr found it slightly funny that corvettes could fit a weapon as powerful as these beam weapons they were firing. The energy drain on them must be ridiculous. Of course knowing the Sith there was likely some wonky magic behind them, but that was neither here nor there. The Graphorn and the Malaclaw also found themselves under fire, but were holding for now.

With the Saturns now behind the Void Irregular Fleet, and thus harder to target, Errreembuhr had his fleet turn their attention to the unwelcome and uninvited guests. The Wookiee had a trick up his sleeve, however, and Rick Kaloo was to thank for it.

He'd heard of the modulation technology that the Sith Empire had been producing and testing after their utilization at Commenor. The ability to modulate weapons wasn't something often done, but the Silver Spacy was able to quickly figure out how it worked, with a key feature on the Gaaradiik being the Subutai tactical analysis system. As soon as the ship had entered the fray it had begun collecting data from the battlefield, and after quick analysis of the ships targeting the Sixth Fleet, it became blatant that the ships he found himself against today were utilizing the same technology reported after the liberation of Commenor. The order went out amongst his fleet to begin altering shield frequency while their energy weapons held fire, but until they could be used, they had plenty of other deadly weapons to rip apart these Imperialist fools.

The largest ships, Errreembuhr's flagship and the Chernobogs, began targeting the Void Irregular's lead ship, the Endeavour. Heavy long-range ion rippers, Angon and Sardun HVCs, Incinerator plasma railguns, and solar ionization cannons from all three ships began blasting away at their target, in addition to multiple salvos of capital-grade concussion missiles, proton torpedoes, and CBM-20s.

With the primary ships engaged, the smaller ones picked their own targets, and the dispatched fighters got to work. The TIE Stalkers and Chiloon IIIs flooded the Massassi corvettes first, noting their heavy beam weapons as a major threat, especially as they were causing severe damage to the Ashwinder. Turning loose with their 20mm autocannons the goal was to cause enough damage to those beam weapons to render them inoperable. While durable, the Stalkers weren't indestructable, and a dozen or so went down, along with half a squadron of the Chiloons. A small price to pay in the long run, and those pilots would be honored in death.

Further away the Fang fighters went to work on the drones that were loosed at Errreembuhr's fleet. Despite being outnumbered the Fangs benefited from the deadly network of anti-aircraft weaponry between the ships gathered. Between the automated turrets, manned turrets, concussion missiles launched from AA batteries, and the Fangs themselves, it was extremely unlikely that these drones would find their targets.
