Corinne Coolidge said:
"This is Dr Corinne Coolidge of the Xucphra High Risk Bacta Rehabilitation Centre to the Tylenol. I can't stress how fortunate we are that you've arrived at this moment. If I can operate under the assumption that your ambulances will pick up the wounded in the city, I will begin to pull back our own evacuation transports and begin using them to carry hospital patients to the Tylenol."

As she waited for a reply, Corinne allowed herself to step towards the window and survey the battle below. One look was all she needed. Returning back to the comms console, she quickly added, "We need several ambulances to come just outside of our Centre as well. We've got a battalion of Alliance defenders taking heavy losses out there, and, uh... it's too dangerous to send out hospital staff through the front. Also, I have been advised that the Sith are attempting to steal or destroy the bacta reserves in our labs. If there is anything you can do to stop that, I'm sure the Thyferrans would appreciate it."
"To all medvac units: bring all the bacta you can to the medvac transports: every drop of bacta we can prevent from falling under enemy hands is crucial to us"

The highest-priority signals came from the Xucphra High Risk Bacta Rehabilitation Centre, that is, the city's main hospital, and the clinic where [member="Taheera Sollo"] was toiling; between them, nearly all of the Tylenol's ambulances were affected to these two areas. Two-thirds were headed towards the city's main hospital, with twenty units, while 10 of the remaining 11 units were arrayed around the clinic and the final one was closing in on Damien. As for Corinne's request, she feels she has no choice: even if it became obvious about three years ago that she was a horrible therapist, she knew, for all her medvac sorties (Atrisia, Polis Massa, Velga) that each life she manages to save comes at a cost of medical supplies, and it only made sense to her to go save whatever bacta can be saved. Once they began to open the doors, they took in as many patients and bacta canisters as they could, while being reminded that only 12 patients were allowed at any one time inside any given ambulance. The facilities were overflowing with patients, and Cathul knew that time was short, so the ambulance pilots made all haste, alongside the crews inside the medvac transports that handled the patients and the bacta; the Twi'lek admiral feels pain for each and every life that is extinguished within the two cities, even as the same scenes are played out in Xozhixi as well as Xucphra. It won't be long now until the enemy is forced to make a decision regarding medvac, she thought, while the first wave of medvac took off from Xozhixi and back to the Pharmacokinetics.

"Woohoo, first medvac transports are away" a medvac pilot reported in.

"If we can manage to save enough lives, I believe some shuttling from Thyferra to Yag'dhul might be well-advised: the body count just keeps rising" Tanith suggested.

"Open a channel to Yag'dhul medvac command"

"Channel open"

"This is Yag'dhul medvac command, what's the derivative of r3/3?" the Givin medic asked Cathul.

"No time for pleasantries, but r2. We're facing a major medical crisis on Thyferra, we need to ferry patients from Thyferra to Yag'dhul because the Sith Empire is burning everything on the planet"

And just like that the fire escape detached from the building, leaving him to endure a hail of blaster bolts, one of which grazed his hair, leaving him with burnt hair smell. Yes, that was just how he wanted to get his hair trimmed. And, as the ground was flying up towards him, he reached out to slow his descent while leaping free of the twisting, broken metal. But he landed roughly and tumbled across into a pile of refuse.

"Gross," he said, dusting himself off.

He grumbled as he stood up and cracked his neck. Rubbing his neck with one hand, he sighed and looked in the direction the woman was fleeing to, and the bounty hunter had followed. The fact that the latter was following her, and not trying to keep him from following her was odd. He took off at a run, following at ground level. He avoided the combat laden areas, keeping pace with the two with the intention of ensuring that she left the world.

Is there a reason he's following you? he sent through the Force to the shapeshifter. He completely abandoned finishing me off to go after you.

Vaudin listened to the comms as ORC personnel moved into the city with rescue gear and fire suppression droids. Their ragtag band of beings may not have been the most uniform bit they were well trained, smart, and tough as nails.

He watched her as she looked at him in what seemed to confusion or maybe just that same lack of general experience that would have made any gambler in any system ever want to get her to make a bet.

His first blaster slipped from its holster with an easy grace that the gunslinger could have managed at four times the speed but why show a face card when you can win with a seven? The blaster spun on his finger while she yelled tail head, and he stopped the blaster's spinning and fired a stun bolt at her left hand.

He pulled the other blaster as he holstered the first and fired a stun bolt at the ground at her feet which at her speed could miss and hit her but he was confident he would be able to live with that. He opened himself to the force as he now had both blasters pulled and ready to fire.

"They're horns, Sweetheart." He said as he stood there twirling his blasters, "Twi'leks wish they could be this hard."

The Chiss's lightsabre hissed furiously as she slashed through most of a neck. The Alliance trooper seized in his track for a moment, jaw falling open and hand coming up to the smouldering wound as he drew a breath through the gap. Darth Filiae shifted her feet and delivered a swift kick to his abdomen, sending him sprawling on his back. She looked over her shoulder at the Dathomiri, but snapped her attention back forward in time to intercept a blaster shot and return it to sender.

"They are entrenched, we need to outflank them."

Two more shots were received and returned by Filliae's orange blade. She reached her left hand up and stopped a thermal detonator in the air, then sent it back to whence it had come. However, it detonated before it got all the way there. These troopers were skilled, well led, and used to fighting forcers, or so it would seem.

The Chiss threw herself to the side as one of the legionaires got shot in the weak spot in the neck and tumbled over. Taking cover by the frame of the door, she called one of her two parrot droids over and sent it inside. Rather than fly, it latched itself to the ceiling and crawled, all the while feeding images back to Filiae's eye.

"I have eyes on the inside."

She picked up the dead legionaire's service blaster and threw it to one of the others, it would do better in their hands than laying on the ground. Their force was small, just enough to cover their ass while they stole or destroyed the bacta. She and Skai was not in command of them per se, but with the battle raging all across the planet, it was difficult not to cross paths with them, and the legionaires seemingly preferred to have Sith support.

The fighters buzzed about each other, viciously hounding the Alliance A-Wings as they swarmed to intercept their attack on the lone K-Wing. A couple Shadow Droids were felled in the opening barrage, their sensors having not registered the A-Wings until it was a nano-second too late. But the survivors learned, they adapted, and they formulated a new strategy of attack.

Experience and instinct had served the Alliance pilots well, but the Shadow Droids relied on no such things. Their minds were cybernetically linked, floating in tanks of enriching nutrients, and further empowered by the Dark Side of the Force. Their decisions came instantaneously, their coordination unparalleled by mortal minds, and their calculations possessed an infinitesimally small margin of error. The smaller fighters were quicker, more agile, but not even they could escape the Shadow Droid's sensors.

By now the rest of the landing force had arrived, escorted by a myriad of TIE Fighters and Interceptors that added their strength to the Shadow Droid's already considerable might. Scythe Squadron lead the charge against the enemy fighters while Saber Squadron swooped in to continually harry the lone K-Wing that continued to inflict havoc on the Sith-Imperial ground forces around the estate.

A13ICV3.jpg
Meanwhile, the Dark Lord had managed to distance himself from the chaos by taking refuge within the shattered ruin of his childhood home. Several of his soldiers had followed him while the rest linked up with the Dark Legion being coordinated by the Shadow Hand elsewhere.

While the majority of the estate's surface structure had been destroyed or allowed to succumb to degradation, the underground portion still remained undetected and virtually intact. It was accessed via a secret lift built into the foundation of the compound, and could only be opened by a passcode that hadn't been used in nearly twenty years. Only the Dark Lord and his Shadow Hand still retained the knowledge of the passcode.

But while en route to the lift's location, the Dark Lord paused. His external senses tingled with caution, he picked up the presence of another looming in the shadows of the ruins.

One that was not of their covenant.

An intruder.

With a wave of his hand, the Dark Lord dispatched his underlings to root out this interloper.

Velok was going down, and taking Damian with him.... crap. Damian was still kneeing the man in the stomach and side as fast as he can as the weight started to force him over. The force told him what was going to happen, what was happening, but his body didn't want to react. As Velok fell to his right Damian tried to pull away towards the left. As the two approached the ground Damian managed to partially slip out sliding from under the body but hitting his back hard.

He barely move, trying to roll and crawl to his lightsaber an inch at a time. He couldn't see out of his right eye, his jaw pulsed with pain, his ribs ached with every breath. Finally he reached his lightsaber and turned around unable to lift it and continue fighting the Sith on the ground across from him. "Told you the umbrella won."

Damian lifted up one arm and pulled himself up onto the curb and started to move away from the sith. Pulling his chronometer close to his head he activated the distress beacon on it. Now he had to move. There was a chance the Sith responded first, perhaps even to pick up their comrade. He'd rather not be here if that happened.

There was a door nearby, He stood up and fell through it, the servos opening it for him leaving him to face plant on the floor. Still the door closed behind him and he managed to worm his way to a safe hiding place. With luck the whiphid wouldn't get up and pursue, though Damian couldn't be sure of how well off he was either....

Some time went by when a medical team arrived placing Damian, painfully, on a stretcher and applying the various bacta patches and medications. "Save it," Damian said as they began working. "I can meditate to heal, just get me out of here...." he coughed up a bit of blood as he pushed one of the nurses away....

Surprise crossed her face, mixed gladness and frustration. On one hand, she knew Joza Perl, and the Zeltron was a wonderfully likable woman. On the other hand, she knew Joza Perl. Aria was here to kark up her enemies, and the Zeltron in front of her was not an enemy.

Her head cocked, eyebrows lifting. "Sightseeing, Joza. I'm sightseeing."

Over incredulous words she was scanning her not-enemy to decide if she was deranged or simply exceptionally fond of sarcasm. The latter was plenty useful, of course. Then again, the Zeltron had just crashed her ship in a burning city, so Aria supposed some brain damage here or there made sense.

"Do something about-" she broke off in sheer disbelief before she could ask Joza's idea of something, watching instead with disbelief at her antics. She hadn't considered high as an option. Today was turning out to be full of surprises.

Well then.

"You know, I'm sure that everything's under control." Well. The Sith had everything under control. Technically, she wasn't lying. "Sith bonfires are pretty much a regular Taungsday. So. There's plenty of time to. Um. To chill."

After all, as far as she was concerned everything was under control. The Empire could turn Thyferra to ash without Aria's help. The bonfires would go on without a hitch if she stopped burning things for a few minutes to chill with Joza Perl. Amber eyes met green and Aria shrugged mentally as she outstretched a hand, accepting.

"So, looks like there's a lot to catch up on."

One hand closed on the rim of the nearby dumpster with crushing force and dragged Velok upright. He slumped against the alley wall and watched his much-anticipated meal crawl away. Damian stumbled through an automated door and was gone.

Velok's stomach growled furiously. With deep annoyance, he tapped a code on his comlink.

Around the time Damian was getting medevacced, an ugly transport touched down near Velok's hard-won alley. An even larger Whiphid rushed out to help him into the ship, which lifted off immediately.

"Gorrammit, Grandpa, you need to start calling before you get in a state like this." Gigantic hands fastened his straps, tucked a blanket around him, and passed him a haunch of human. "Calm your old butt down and do things the smart way once in a while."

Velok glowered and started eating.

Exeunt.

And she ran, she ran so far away.....

Nyra was busy with her whole... getting away with the incredibly valuable super-medicine. She hoped that the bounty hunter and the Jedi would keep eachother busy long enough for her to.... damn. She heard rockets behind her and knew she was being perused. Well that took out the possibility of the bounty hunter being on her side if he was chasing instead of fighting the Jedi.

With the force she increased her speed running across the overpass until jumping out and moving through a building. Her ship wasn't too far now and going through rather than around or up and over would save her some time. She burst from the opposite end out a window when suddenly she felt a mental message. I intend to sell to the top four highest bidders, she replied back as she continued to running. He probably wants to sell to one of the top four highest bidders. Or maybe the Sith hired him to get it. Or maybe he just think my butt looks nice in black.

Nyra turned in midair and looked back loosing the whip from her hips and preparing to fight should the need arise.

Lieutenant Amaliya Darrena slowly came back into the world of the conscious, blinking. She felt strange. Off. Like something was wrong. What had she been doing? She struggled to remember. Blue Squadron had been doing something. Attacking? Attacking some city, then-

"Commander!"

Darrena's eyes widened as it came flooding back. The retreat. The attack. The enemy fighters that had hit them from behind. Chit. Chit, chit, chit! Everyone else had been downed, everyone but her and Commander Colsin, then she had gone down. Her head whipped around, trying to gain an idea of her surroundings.

Her TIE Fighter had crashed into a building. The cockpit was smashed, and she could see inside. It was dark, lit only by the flames of the city outside. Her straps had kept her in her seat, thank the Force. Shakily, she unstrapped herself, taking a hesitant step forward. She drew the side-arm from the holster on her thigh, thumbing the safety off. This was enemy territory, now. And she didn't have much assistance.

Her squadron was down, but she hadn't seen the commander go down. Maybe she was still out there. Darrena made her way outside, glancing around. Her heart sank as she spotted the wreckage of a TIE Interceptor. The Commander flew an Interceptor.

"Syrena!"

Darrena sprinted to the flaming wreckage, hoping against hope, maybe she could save the woman, pull her out-

The fighter exploded completely, erupting into flames, knocking the lieutenant on her ass. She stared at the flames, her heart in her throat. She was alone, out here. Finally, she got to her feet. Her comms had gone with her fighter. She had no way of outright contacting the Imperial forces on the planet. She had only one solution.

A moment later, a crimson flare was fired high into the air, burning against the smoke rising from the city: friendly forces in danger.

I could feel the woman's thoughts of a civil conversation before cutting off. How naive of her to believe that I held any power within the Sith Empire, or could command or control them. I was here to keep my own job. I was here to keep the act up of a Sith Knight. She refused to see how a Sith could lean more so along the lines of being a benevolent Warrior who only desired to live. She failed to see that I was not as dark as my kindred Sith. I am a Je'daii Journeyer, and a Matukai Adept. Both were forces that used balance or light sides of the force. She could not see my neutral stance. She failed to search deeper than just the title of Sith.

That is what made me upset.

Supposed Jedi couldn't get past the idea that a Sith could redeem themselves without being beaten to near death, or be tied up in chains. I knew I was of the darkness. I knew I could learn the ways to corrupt the light. However, I did not. I chose not to corrupt or learn of Sith Alchemy like my father before me. I used anger, hatred and pain to fuel my ambitions and desires. However, the difference was I knew that being a person of pure hatred, and anger would only lead down a path to destruction and more pain. I did not want that. I wanted to fix my family name. To do that, I needed to start anywhere. Somewhere. Sadly, it was the Sith Empire.

I didn't contact her again.

I left her hanging. I focused upon the soldier who spoke out. Flying above the other troopers who were cooking within the roaring flames. I watched as the energy shield he wore protected him from the licking and possible heat of flames. Fine. Even as he were in the air, He fired upon me. I took my time. Using the previous focus upon telepathy to be turned onto the man. Only, in the form of telekinesis. Lifting up the wreckage of the roof that had been beside me, and threw it towards the bolts. Allowing them to splash against and destroy the debris of the three round he sent to me.

As the last bolt was considered less than lethal, With the aid of my boots, as well as using Matukai techniques of increasing my physical power, I lept up into the air to meet this man. Closing the distance between us rapidly to send my right fist towards his center mass. All the while, Lucem, and his little blue light was floating and flying around to prevent himself getting hit, or shot at. I knew he was already analyzing the armor for me, trying to find any weak points, or possible limitations of the armor. I had to worry about him delivering this information because we could not talk through the mind, as he is a shard. Filled with knowledge storage systems. If I tried to meet his mind, I would be overloaded with information that I could not control.

Now to find a weakness myself in the mean time. Even if I had to close the distance between myself and him.

A near-palpable sense of dread washed over the knight in her uneasy waiting game. The remains of the Zambrano estate, as much of a vision as they were, ruins or otherwise, was hardly suited as any sort of cover. There wasn't much to be done about that, though. If her senses were as accurate as she hoped, potential foes were drawing closer too soon to even consider a major change in venue, not unless she was eager to face confrontation in transit. No, the wreckage would do.

Lightsaber in hand, keeping close to the taller structures, Sundara remained on the move within the estate's wreckage. Her eye was perpetually out for adversaries, form jerking to a halt each time her ears picked up the slightest of sounds. Something was coming, that much was evident. Whatever it specifically was remained to be seen. The game of cat and mouse was almost maddening. Was she the cat in this confrontation or the mouse? Sundara feared the latter. Suspected it, even. And while she was far from accepting of the metaphorical role, she might as well roll with it for the time being.

What little time she had spent among the wreckage had given her a slight idea of what led to what, something she had no qualms about using to her advantage. If there truly was to be a fight, it would be on her own terms. One could hope, anyway.

So when she did catch sight of a Sith underling, she thought she was ready.

There, he suspended him and caught his breath for a few moments, eyes never deviating from Cairyn's own, fully aware of the fact that he could kill him right now.

He enjoyed being in control.

"Weak. Shoddy. Pathetic. You call yourself Sith, boy?" he snarled, his voice brimmed with malice and fury, the Darkness burning in him on the back of the duel, seeping through his veins like a poison. But he loved the poison, he embraced it and he was submerged in the Darkness. Something he wanted the Teevan to experience. "However, that can change. Your downfall is inexperience - let me tutor you in the ways of the Dark Side, let me teach you how to kill, how to battle and how to wield your gift." his voice sounded pleading, and his charade almost broke as a thought popped into his head; earlier the Sith had seethed at the mere mention of the Dark Lord's name. Perhaps..? "Together, we can defeat the Dark Lord himself, and together we can subjugate all the systems which have hurt us."

Slowly, he lowered the Sith to the ground and extended a hand, his expression placid and his thoughts masked by the Force and his heritage.

Vaylin grinned.

It had been too long since she had a decent fight. Sure, cutting down swathes of soldiers and scientists were something, but it didn't match up to a duel against someone who knew how to wield their lightsaber.

The kick had forced them apart, and Vaylin knew it had barely done any damage to her opponent. But the point had been to broaden the distance between them, to allow herself the time to anticipate. She knew he was the aggressor in this fight.

At least for now.

Vaylin watched as Fel moved in, unfazed or flinching as he dragged his lightsaber across the floor. The Zabrak prepared herself, bringing her own blades up to retaliate. She felt the surge through the Force, the spark of aggression that simmered within the Jedi. A chink in the armour as it were, something Vaylin wasn't going to let slip through her fingers.

First strike. Blocked. Second strike. Blocked. Third strike. Dodged.

She blocked Fel's first two strikes, feeling all the strength the young man was pushing into his blows. Vaylin knew she wasn't going to last if she remained on the defence, but she was willing to take a risk to get an advantage. As Fel came in for the third attack; likely thinking Vaylin was going to block it again, but instead the Zabrak suddenly turned out of the way. She moved her entire body, spinning with one foot to position herself out of his path.

Vaylin brought one of her lightsaber's up, sliding across the side of Fel's armoured robes, before she slid up behind and slammed her elbow into his back. She was toying with him, there was no mistaking that intent.

Stepping away a bit, making some distance again. Vaylin picked up the presence of another Sith nearby, although her eyes never turned from Fel's. The brief shift allowed for the Zabrak to hear the chaos deeper in the facility. It sounded as though the combined Iron Consortium and Legionnaires had managed to find the bacta itself.

"Who they are, what kind of armour they have - what weapons they're shooting us with!"

Okay, maybe she was being a bit too specific on it, following her typical line of thought when she suddenly found herself in the middle of a firefight. They were being fired at, by folks that were no doubt not giving a wampa rats arse who they were shooting.

Mara had to shout to be heard, even with Saoirse right next to her. The constant firing was threatening to drown it out.

She ducked down as a bolt soared over her head, impacting the nearby wall.

They needed to leave, and quickly. Mara glanced over to see Saoirse wasn't firing, at first she wondered why the woman wasn't until she recognized the weapon.

A stun pistol...

Mara leaned out to the side, firing off a couple volleys; two sets of three that impacted a soldier's chest. He only went down with the fifth shot. The agent cursed as she moved behind cover again. Their enemy was decently armoured, and her blaster wasn't going to do much against a whole squad.

In comparison to Saoirse, Mara was focused and sharp minded in their current situation. Years of training had hammered in certain traits, that no matter what the Agent wouldn't allow for a margin of error when her life was on the line. And of course, someone else's too.

"We've got maybe a minute or two tops, before they overwhelm our position."

She looked around, her train of thought syncing up with the other woman looking for an exit. Mara caught sight of a back door just by the bar. But it was going to require them to sprint across the distance.

"There's a back door just behind the bar, but we're gonna have to make a run for it."

She stood there with her twisted smile still there as the young Jedi took out a shield with there pitiful emblem on the front the Jedi always so arrogant and quick to flash there symbol at anything they Haven't indoctrinated into there beliefs and ideologies thinking the galaxy is better off under there protection, However the galaxy would be such a boring place without people like the Sith being around causing mayhem and making living more entertaining then sitting around a class room meditating all day. She could sense the tension in the young woman before her who tried to act the tough girl part yet kept her distance from her with her frail words that the force and the Light will protect her but that will not be the case today.

She giggled like a twisted schoolgirl as the Jedi tried to use words to talk her down from the inevitable combat but she would gladly take the thrill of combat over letting this girl try and end this peacefully like normal people.

Well the Light is doing a swell job so far if you take a look around you for a moment, But no matter I will either have you intact for later or I will simply have your head on my WALL!

As she yelled the last part a powerful shockwave shot out towards her quickly tearing up the street and anything before her as it bolted straight for her this was her force scream that she chose to use first before attacking directly and risking her stamina by attacking wildly, This was a test to see how quick her Jedi friend is ...or how durable that shield of hers is. Perhaps if she gets her wish and defeats this jedi she can keep that shield it would make a lovely decorative piece, Or maybe a table there are so many choices but first things first there was a jedi in need of a beating

“Right, right, yeah.” Joza nodded distractedly as if she didn’t fully understand what was going on. “I totally get it. It’s a gorgeous city with all these fires. I bet the locals are just loving it, too.”

As Aria reached out to accept the medicinal aid, the fires from the city crept up on the wreckage of Joza’s ship. All it took was few short seconds for them to eat away at the fuel line and…BAM! The small explosion sent the Zeltron forward and directly into Aria, lightsaber and spice both lost and Force knows where.

Groaning, Joza pushed herself up reflexively put a hand to her nose. Yup, the nose wound she’s sustained in the crash had re-opened. However, that was the least of her worries.

A familiar earthy scent filled the air and blinked in recognition, scrambling upwards after a few moments to see a cloud of smoke surround the wreckage. In the middle, something was burning.

“Ohhh no. Oh no no no no no. He’s going to kill me.” Joza groaned, clutching at her hair with one hand and the side of her face with the other. This was not good. The medicinal herbs she’d definitely not smuggled with her had caught aflame and were releasing their properties all over the city.

Slowly, the cloud of spice began to spread through the city streets.

Ao easily paced the much longer limbed creature. Somewhere between a trot and a slither, she moved through the burning forest, sinuous and proud, already having forgotten the insult of the bug things in the bask and promise of praise and prey.

Having liberal confirmation of her own growing task toward godhood was gratifying, and her neck arched high, head shaking out as nostrils widened, taking in the scent of burning forest. It would only be better with Kalak, she mused. Or if it were Dalans burning. Both. Why not both? Both was good. The crackle of the fire, the burning of the wood smoke and the lavish admiration all set Ao up into the most cheerful of moods.

The only thing that would make it better would be fresh blood on her muzzle and the taste of meat.

You know, that didn't taste like burnt bugs.

The smell of hot metal, easy to miss for most creatures without the sensitivity of scent that a Xykan had, reached her, and her mane rippled with specific expression that would be lost on Kazmai. Incipient excitement. She pranced sideways slightly, tail curling around and around itself like a mobius strip.

What she didn't smell, particularly however, was blood. At least, not much of it.
