The Clockwork Rebellion

Spencer turned her head from side to side she was ready to actually do what shes claimed to do for some time now. Finally ready she leaned herself against a wall hoping It would remain stable. She was putting herself into a lot of danger, but it had to be done.

Closing her eyes she entered the meditation. She was only able to confine it to the room and to each of the younglings. She found their threads like before and carefully attached her own. One was different and she figured that strand belonged to her master. Like with the younglings she connected herself and helped boost her Master's confidence.

It was obvious she had to sit and meditate till they were gone to make sure that the children remained calm and cooperative.

Phylis was amazed...she could feel Spencer's effect on her. Her! It was like a warm presence entering her spirit, making her feel more confident and assured. For a moment she was going to resist the interference of her own mind out of general principle...but then relented.
"Come along, children. Spencer, follow me in five minutes," she ordered.
The younglings formed an ordered group and walked out with Phylis, heading for their special hanger. Fortunately the Jedi Temple had its own isolated network, so everything still worked inside it. Once they launched though...that'd be the issue.

Level 1313

Alright, to put things in simple terms at the moment that the entire galaxy became the prey of Omni, Selena was down in the lower levels engaged in her normal activities. That is, she was under the guise of a Bounty Hunter by the name of La'elah Hoshek. Her current work was hunting down a swoop racer who was responsible for about eight killings in the last week. It was simple work really. Swoop gangs were filled with loose lips. Use a little bit of charm and anything could be found out. She hated that, but she was capable of putting up a good facade and never crossing any lines. But it was still more than she liked. But alas, it worked. Anyways, point is... She was in the underbelly of Coruscant on the hunt when suddenly everything went crazy.

Now, most would try and keep their cover in this instance, but honestly, Selena was not one for that sort of thing. Droids were the bigger threat by far. Destruction on Coruscant and even bigger one still. Dealing with the power being out was rather frustrating, especially in the lower levels. On the upside though, being in the lower levels meant less droids. They still appeared. The large angelic looking ones were rather imposing. However, she was a rather competent Jedi Knight, so the one that came down had been made quick work of. Well, at least to her. The four swoop gang members who were now dead at its hand, which had provided the distraction for her to take it down, might have said otherwise.

From her vantage point her looked up between the skyscrapers. Black dots could be seen souring around between them, lasers being fired from them. Bodies fell from walkways down below. She was not aware of the fullness of the situation, what was transpiring, or what was behind it but she knew that people were in trouble. That was where the real battle was. That was where those in need were dying. Never before now had she hated being stuck in the underworlds doing work like she did now. She needed to get higher up. She needed to give aid to the people. Electronics were largely out though, so getting up there would pose a difficult problem. Stairs it had to be then. Perhaps once she had ascended some floors someone would figure out how to do something about the fact that speeders were not working. Perhaps at some point she would find a more efficient route.

Brunswick let out a sigh of relief to see that the EMP had messed up the B2 droid's rapid firing mechanism. If it could rapid fire, the statue he was hiding behind now would've been a pile of rubble, and the same for the senator himself. He could feel the statue almost crack from all the blaster fires it had recieved from Stargo.
"Just join us Brunswick, accept it that Omni is here to give us all true freedom! The Republic will never be the Democracy that you want, it will always be an oppressive pit of scum unless we embrace evolution!" shouted Zev, looking quite convinced.
The Kuati senator decided not to waste his breath on replying to the madman. Instead, he observed the paues in between the B2 droid's blaster shots, and suddenly popped out from behind the statue and shot down the droid when it was pausing. He dashed forward, and started shooting his blaster at Stargo.

The droids washed over Coruscant like a black plague. Whenever one was slain two would take its place. The Seraph were soon joined by other types of droids, massive crab like tanks, slender sniper rifle carrying droids. Millions poured from the pits that were Coruscant like an ever lasting torrent. The city world would soon be over run by the sheer amount of them.

As they made their way across the city Omni's voice rang out through the streets. The terrifying drone continued on and on never growing silent.

“Relent. Join the Ascension. Better yourselves.”

The Eternal AI spoke to the masses, projecting its voice to the darkest corners of Coruscant.

The time to question everything was over. She tossed a bacta pac unceremoniously at the scruffy-looking pilot.

Jeeze, the ones they give me to work with these days.

The hangar shook as the tides of war turned. Screams filled the hangar just outside and blasted through the comms. “Right. Let’s go! Our number one priority is to protect the evacuating civilian transports. You’ll get your evacuation point over the comms. Stay on my wing. My call-sign is Lil’ Mano.”

Luckily, her astromech, Sparky, was loaded and it didn’t take long until she was snuggled in the orange-tinted cockpit of her X-wing. “All pilots report in.” With a tug, she brought the snub-nosed fighter into the air.

"So what exactly do you intend to do once we get there? Find your friends and load them up as refugees?"

She bit her lip, thinking. Honestly, she had not completely considered that. What would she do? She could not even be sure her 'friends' were even alive still. But she had to be there. She was supposed to be a Jedi Master, after all. And how could she leave Coruscant like that without at least trying to do something?

"I don't know," she admitted, "I really don't know. But I have to go. I have to at least try to help if I can."

He nodded and made his way to his fighter. He wasn't usually one for formalities and this time was no different. Without grabbing and putting on a pilot's suit he entered his GN Throne. He had never personally met the Captain, however he had heard of her exploits. To him, many of them weren't that impressive. What was impressive is that she completed these all in a relic like the X-Wing. She refused to use a different fighter when others were readily available. That meant she was a great pilot, and he respected her which is more than he could say for most other Navy officers.

With a flipping of a switch here and there the Throne came to life. Sliding a headset on he gave a thumbs up to the others and nodded at Thessa. "Apparently mine is Red-5" he said into the mike. And they were off. Into the now black sky of the planet he called home. It was time to knock some skulls. As he left the hangar another pilot ran after him, suited up and ready to go. Turin would never know, but the man was waving his fist violently in anger and confusion. You snooze you lose.

Zev watched as the senator popped up and dispatched his last droid with a few shots from his baster. Before he could even react the senator began firing rounds in his direction, forcing the old man to scoot backwards and fire back. He took a direct hit in the arm, dropping his pistol as he jumped backwards. He wasn't sure if he had scored a hit on the senator, but he ran back around the statue anyway. As he came around the statue he pulled a small, one shot per charge period, pistol that he kept on his ankle. He stopped as he saw his hand that he grabbed the pistol with...some of the wrinkles were disappearing slowly into his skin...already his skin was looking younger. What was going on here?

There was no time to question it as the senator was moving around the statue to take another shot, so he quickly popped up and fired a shot at the senator.

Eastern Hangar - Senate Building

If the clones heard Omni's announcement, they didn't show it. With deadly precision, Nomad and his men moved forward, firing constantly as they moved. Even though the droids they shot were replaced with new ones, they kept moving forward. This was nothing new to them. Keep firing. Get to cover. Fire again. Cycle their shots so that there was always someone firing. A stray bolt from a droid landed, hitting one of the clones that had set up next to Nomad. The clone fell, but Nomad kept moving. The line behind him would check the soldier for injuries and bring him to the medics if needed. Hesitate, and you die. That is what they learned, and that is what they executed.

With deadly accuracy.

Before they knew it they were at the front of the hangar. Nomad ducked behind a nearby crate, nearly getting hit by a blaster bolt from a droid. He popped out the overheated thermal clip, and as soon as a new one was placed in his weapon, he popped out of cover, firing another burst into a nearby droid.

"Captain, second vanguard. ETA: thirty seconds."

"Estimation!" Nomad shouted back, firing off another burst into a nearby droid.

"Approximately five hundred hostiles, more behind. Recommend either fall back or call in air support."

"STU-Actual, this is STU-One," Nomad said, bringing up the secure channel to their ship. "Request immediate package dropped on following coordinates: Echo-Four-Three-Zero. Ignore friendly markers."

"STU-One, we cannot target location. It's too hot. Clear it and we can send down a package."

"Osik," Nomad swore, firing off more from his rifle. They had thirty seconds before they had more than they could deal with, even if the regrouped security forces could back them up. There were too many droids lined up, and they couldn't lose this line. If they could retake the hangar, evacuating the surviving senators could be made possible. If they could only clear the air...

"Republic air forces, this is Captain Nomad of the Six-Sixty-Six company." He risked switching to a more open comm signal, used by general Republic forces, but he needed to take the risk. "Requesting immediate clearing of air space above my location. High priority civilians within the senate building cannot escape. I repeat: high priority civilians within the senate building cannot escape."

Ducking behind cover, Nomad prayed to whatever god he could that there was still some air support. They didn't have much time...

No problem Knight Ravos...

Lost in Vaapad, Darron channeled his will to win as he brought his twin, blue bladed lightsabders to bear on the droids before him. Normally the Jedi would have channeled off of his opponents darkness, but the entire planet of Coruscant was a big pit of despair and fear. Not exactly the best emotions to forge the super-conducting loop necessary to ride through the penumbra of the darkness, but it would have to do. Molten metal and blaster bolts filled the hangar as Darron unleashed the staccato strikes at blinding speed, he appeared to be surrounded in a sphere of blue energy such was his speed. Yet, for every droid that fell to his blades or to deflections, two more seemed to take their place. So it seems Omni is going to simply try to swallow us with numbers, that won't work on this day. The thought only hardened his focus as he launched himself further into the fray to reach the Chancellor, she was the true symbol of the Republic and would not be lost this day.

Making his way through the throng of opponents as he was a whirlwind of unrelenting destruction, the Grand Master reached his senses towards the heavens towards a falling Zeltron. Next time, remind me to show a spectacular trick to do to thin your opponents numbers. The message was short as even Darron didn't need to have his focus so divided in battled. The blood vessels in his neck started to bulge as he slowed the massive Jedi Knight's descent to give him almost the illusion of floating down onto the durasteel floor below, all the while deflecting any bolts headed towards Jaxton or the Chancellor. With another flick of his wrist two more angel looking droids fell in a crumple of molten steel, but the Jedi Master was having to use a great deal of energy clearing the path to Chancellor Aurelia. Sensing the distance between them had closed considerably, judging by the well placed blaster shots ringing true on a few droids. "Jaxton, make your way towards me and the Chancellor now!"

As the words echoed off the walls of the hangar, Darron leapt up and over all of the surrounding droids and landed on one knee right next to the Chancellor.

Azure eyes looked over the Chancellor as his senses checked her for damage and any of her guards for life. While his spirit soared to know he had made it in time, none of her security detail had survived. Blaster shots echoed off their cover as the Grand Master stood up occasionally to deflect their bolts back at them to keep them far away from Aurelia, and buy Jaxton some time. Quickly ducking back down with his back against the crates, he finally addressed the leader of the government he served. "Madam Chancellor, are you okay? Judging from what I'm feeling you will have me, Jaxton Ravos, and my Padawan Padak Arciso as your security detail. Can you please call a ship here for us all, or do I need to give you my starfighter?" Thinking of his Padawan, Darron quickly broadcast his location in the Force while sending a message.

Get to hangar 14 now Padak, make haste we have the Chancellor and we are surrounded!

An idea suddenly hit him, an image of events yet to pass, which suddenly could come to fruition as they were joined by the massive Zeltron Jedi.

"Stand back you two...now."

Standing up and turning his full focus on every crate that his senses could touch, the Jedi Master emptied himself of all emotion and allowed the Force to flow into him at the exact same time. His senses and will seemed to materialized as every crate rose, and as if possessed they flew at high speeds at all the droids congregating in the center of the hangar. The resounding explosion as they all self destructed was rather loud, and Darron subconsciously positioned himself between the blast and the two individuals behind him. As the explosion died down and the fire started to burn out, he could tell they had a few moments of peace to form a plan. Turning to regard the pair, he got Rosa's message and quickly fired one back to his lover. Be safe, and if you can make your way to me. If you need my help don't hesitate to call for me, I will come.

"Thanks for coming Jaxton," he said as the doors opened to allow Padak in the hangar. "Padak, good get close my young Padawan. Everyone this is the Supreme Chancellor Aurelia Saelari." He motioned to the leader of the Republic before continuing. "Men, we are to get her to safety regardless of the cost am I clear? If I give the order to let me be left behind to get you guys to safety, do not question or dare try to disobey. We constantly preach on protecting life, the galaxy is calling us today...and we shall answer am I clear?"

On the edge of the hangar, dozens of droids started to crawl up from the floors below.....

As the myriad of droids began to climb onto the Hangar platform three other droids landed with a thud at the edge of the drop off. A triad of Seraphim droids cracked the duracreet ground as they landed upon the Hanger, each of their three eyes staring directly towards the Jedi Grandmaster and his protectorates. They hummed slightly, their repulsor-lift wings ever droning as they stepped forward.

Their orange eyes began to glow a darker red as their heavy claw like feet stepped through the duracreet. There was no taunting, no words of wisdom, non attempt to win over the Grandmaster and those with him. Omni's droids simply assessed the situation and then in a matter of seconds acted.

Two of the Seraphim fired their weapons, both composite beam lasers lurching forward and slicing towards the Grandmaster. The third of the black droids lifted back up into the air, it moved to the side with incredible speed jumping away from the center of the group and going towards its side, aiming to impale one of the stragglers.

Gezzo

Captain Gezzo, 73rd Infantry, Charlie Company CO
@Omni @[member="Darron Wraith"]

Gezzo had been flying through the war torn streets of Coruscant ever since the mysterious droids popped up from nowhere. Their numbers blotted out the sun and probably the sun of every other Republican world (wink). Luckily he had gotten used to his new synthetic wings after his fight with the Queen, they gave him much more speed and strength in flight than his natural wings. The arm was also a nice adjustment, though he still preferred his natural form. The bug was firing sonic rounds off at the Seraphim that flew into his path, the pure kinetic force of the round tearing them asunder. He had picked up a transmission that the senate building was under heavy attack and that not only were there this strange new droids, but also legions of B series battledroids. He was all to familiar with those monstrosities, his planet had started building them for the Syndicate before he left.

When Gezzo got into range of the senate building he headed straight for the hangers, the place where the most Republic assistance was requested. It was not long into his final flight miles that he saw a figure swinging a lightsaber as he was attacked by the dark droids currently blanketing the planet. He was to far to pull off an accurate shot, so he began beating his metallic wings hard, the wind whistling past him as he more than doubled his speed. He was at the hanger in mere minutes and when he arrived he drew his metal arm back and sent a punch flying directly through one of the angel like droids, the mix of genetically enhanced muscle and robotic strength sending his fist clean through the droids head. The droid fell to the hanger floor and Gezzo began zipping around the landing bay with his wings, firing off sonic rounds at the enemies harassing the Jedi.

He nodded. "So once more unto the breach without a plan?" he asked, glancing over his shoulder at her with a smile. He continued leading her through Dis, coming across Barnabus as they entered the hangar. "Ah, Barnabus. You're in charge of the children, understood? Me and Feena are off to Coruscant," the blond said in explanation.

Brunswick realized with a jolt that he had managed to shoot Stargo on the arm. The old man seemed to have been retreating after he had dropped his pistol. Or was he..? Suddenly, he heard heavy footsteps right around the otherside of the statue he was hiding behind. Alarmed, the Kuati senator reloaded his blaster once more, and moved quickly to get another shot at Stargo. He thought that the old man would be weak now that he was injured. So it came as a suprise when Zev Stargo seemed to spring out of the statue and shoot a shot with him with a pistol that Brunswick hadn't noticed before. Darren had no time to dodge the incoming shot. And with that, Stargo's shot hit him directly in the stomach. Thankfully, his suit was blaster fire-proof, or else the shot would've made it through his flesh. However, the suit didn't make the shot pain-proof. Brunswick collapsed on the floor, clutching his stomach. He, however, firmly gripped his blaster, knowing that if he let the blaster slip out of his grip and into Zev's, he would be a dead man.

Hanna was scared... she tried despartely to reach someone... Kamon.... She hid in her office, unsure of what else to do when republic soldiers came to secure her. She had never been more thankful in her life, She appearntly had a secret exit too.. who knew... She was shoved in the door and it closed behind her as droids engaged the men, she was alone again... but Hanna had that gut feeling that she wasn't really alone, as she went down the dark hallway of her emergeny exit.
Hanna hid around a corner as a droid made a sweep... it was 2 minutes of pure terror before the droid went out... She needed to get a weapon... Then she could at least stand a chance.... Just her luck... to not have her guards.. Kamon, or Hevanna.... what did she pay them for? When she heard a voice breaking in and out on her comm... someone with a wayout..! " she spoke into the comm, " Please this is Vice Chancellor Lissiri I need help I need a way out" She had to run and hide as she heard the droid returning to the sound of her voice.. it was only a matter of time she thougt as she hid in a room full of suplies and various other things.

Dang droids!

Kamon had been caught on his way to work by the so called invasion. Heck, even his speeder had been hijacked. This had resulted in him making the swift decision to jump out, and jump from speeder to speeder until he reached the nearest building. Inside, he made his way down to the ground level, or rather the level for the Coruscant upper ground, and left the building only to find chaos in the streets.

Droids were everywhere. They were doing odd things to people and killing resistance. That wasn't good. It was a damn droid uprising. The words of the so-called Omni rang through the air, but he didn't have time to deal with a self-absorbed intelligence at the moment. He had to get to the senate building to find Hanna.

Fortunately he hadn't been far away when his speeder went on the fritz. Now he was able to do what he needed and sprint along the street's and moving sidewalks using the Force to aid his quickness. Though he would like to have stopped to deal with all of the problems that people were having around him, he knew that one man alone could not face an army of droids. They had to get off of Coruscant and regroup.

He approached the senate building and found that it was absolutely in shambles. There were big droids everywhere of a variety he had never seen before in his life. Kamon knew a technique for dealing with droids, but he didn't particularly want to get in range to do it. He ran for the main entrance, hearing Hanna's voice on the comm. He didn't dare grab his out there, though. She was going to have to wait.

Red eyes flared open. The denizen of Coruscant's darkest caverns had been awakened. Programming ran through Sev3n's brain. Activation. Kill sequence, enabled. Primary target: hangar platforms. Prevent escape of lifeforms. Evoke terror. End the Jedi. Two and a half tons of monstrosity arose from the caverns and clawed to the surface of Coruscant. The ten foot tall Terentatek drew itself out of the depths and lumbered through crowded Coruscanti streets. The screams of fleeing pedestrians became heightened as they saw the behemoth. Gigantic claws swept from side to side, scything through the pedestrians. Lacerated bodies filled the being's wake as it charged. It sensed force sensitives. It would feast on their blood.

"Commentary: oh how I love spilling out the fluids of these organics. I have been inactive for too long. Die now, meatbags." The booming deep and dispassionate synthesized voice came from within the Terentatek, though its mouth never moved save to roar. Inside the creature's mind, controlling its actions, the cyborg Sev3n revelled in its programming. Formerly a Hunter Killer droid, the Ai had been placed into the Terentatek, creating a cyborg monstrosity.

Sev3n roared through the streets, crushing the bodies of terrified humanoids beneath its two ton weight. They squished like grapes. The Terentatek continued forward, heedless of the gore coating its feet and scythe-like claws. Humanoid guards were flung into the air as Sev3n's rampage carried it to the Senate Building. A whole cadre of troopers opened fire on the Terentatek. Blaster fire zipped into the massive being, scorching its hide, but not penetrating. The Terentatek roared in outrage. Sev3n registered pain on its sensors. Sev3n's targeting sequence identified the platoon before it and ran combat algorithms. "Statement: you will all be assimilated. Into my stomach. Ha. Ha. Ha."

Judah caught the bacta pac easily and watched his Boss switch into action mode. Chaos was happening all around them and he felt strangely disconnected. Which was extremely odd.....he should be feeling something, fear, anger, anxiety. Nothing but that odd disconnected feeling. Shaking his head, the young pilot nodded at his Captain.

"Understood Captain. Mine is Dash."

Zipping up his flightsuit he tossed the bacta pac into the X-Wing and climbed in shortly after. His astromech, R7-F8 was loaded and prepping itself for their battle ahead. Soon the pair was in the skies, listening to the chatter steaming across the headsets. He stayed close to Lil Mano's wing, just a hair behind her position to avoid some of the pitfalls of fast maneuvering.

Judah sat in his cockpit in a daze. It felt as if he was no longer himself...something was inside him. Perhaps he was going crazy but his entire body felt different, altered.Like his body was waging its own war with an unknown force. Sitting in his daze during the chaos of battle, R7-F8's shrill tweets and whistles snapped him back to reality. Judah was a daydreamer but this was entirely different.

"Are we clearing the air space Boss?"

"I'll make a plan when we are on the way there," she snapped, losing the attitude the moment she saw Barnabus, "Ah, there you are!"
She lifted the girl from off her shoulder, giving her a kiss on both cheeks before handing her over. The child didn't seem to mind. Her Mother was stressed, after all. She could tell. Babies always can tell.
Feena did not want to leave her behind though. She never wanted to leave her behind. She avoided dangerous missions for a reason. But this was not something she could avoid. At the very least, Keter would be with her. He could make sure she didn't do anything stupid or reckless.

"As always," she said, "if anything happens to me, my final instructions are recorded on the holodisc in my jewelry box."
Just a precaution. Death was hard to predict, she of all people would know.
