The Clockwork Rebellion

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
The Capitol
@[member="Darron Wraith"] @[member="Gezzo"] @[member="Aurelia Saelari"] @[member="Padak Arciso"]

As Jaxton plummeted towards the earth he held his lightsaber and deflected bolts, hoping and praying that Grandmaster Wraith got his message. Jaxton heard a boom, and saw a burst of light, then looked up and saw his fighter explode, killing on what any other day would seem like an army of droids. Today however, it looked like he merely stomped his boot on a floor full of roaches.

No Problem Knight Ravos. Jaxton heard Wraith’s voice in his mind as his descent began to slow, becoming more like an elevator ride than a lethal dive. Next time, remind me to show a spectacular trick to do to thin your opponents numbers. He continued, and Jaxton laughed despite his literal fallings. He wasn’t quite sure how he had enough power to send jokingly send a message to Jaxton, lower his fall, and deal with whatever droids were on his end. Jaxton had known Teferi made a good choice when he discovered what he had done, but his opinion of Wraith had only been cemented at this point. Wraith was a good man and a powerful one, Jaxton thought he would lead the Jedi well.

As soon as Jaxton’s feet hit the ground he took off running, using the Force to amplify his speed to unnatural levels, even for an athlete of his quality, all the while slashing at droids that came at him or were in his trajectory. He followed the Jedi Grandmaster’s Force signature like a beacon, it’s power radiating like a lighthouse on a dull and rainy night in the lifeless and droid-filled atmosphere he found himself in. As he got closer he could just barely see the Grandmaster, he heard his voice call out to him.

"Jaxton, make your way towards me and the Chancellor now!" Wraith’s voice echoed with urgency, only slightly drowned out by the buzzing and whirring of the legion of droids around them. He picked up his pace, not wasting time to slash any droids along his way, only using his efforts defensively.

“Stand back-“ Jaxton heard the Grandmaster say and Jaxton immediately pulled @[member="Aurelia Saelari"] to his side with the Force, then picked her up in his right arm and ran back, away from the Grandmaster, then gently pushed the Chancellor downward to the floor, his large frame covering her from harm. Jaxton felt the Grandmaster’s actions in the Force, him pulling seemingly every crate, box, and barrel in the room and pouring them on the droids gathering in the middle of the hanger. After he sensed the event was over he arose, releasing the Chancellor.

“I apologize not preparing you for that Chancellor.” Jaxton said apologetically. It was his duty, but she was also the most powerful person in the Republic, at least politically. Formalities never hurt. He turned and headed back to Master Wraith, awaiting new orders. They had no ship and Coruscant was filled with millions, if not billions of droids. There was no way they could survive on the planet for long.

“Thank you for coming Jaxton.” The Grandmaster said to him, referring to him casually instead of formally. He hoped that meant good things, perhaps even a friendship. Or at least as much as of a friendship a Knight could have with the leader of the Jedi. Wraith then introduced his padawan and the Chancellor, and telling them defending her was their mission. It wasn’t really a speech for him, Jaxton knew what he had to do, for the Jedi and for the Republic. Then he said something that caught Jaxton’s attention. “If I give the order to let me be left behind to get you guys to safety, do not question or dare try to disobey.” And Jaxton immediately knew he wouldn’t take that order. He wasn’t about to lose a second Grandmaster on his watch.

“You won’t have to make that order.” Jaxton said firmly and uncompromisingly after the Grandmaster finished speaking. @[member="Darron Wraith"] had little time to protest, as droids began climbing into the hanger, aided by three large droids in models he had never seen before. Jaxton hadn’t seen every droid of course, but he could tell in general what company or species created it, but these looked like nothing he had never seen before. He guessed they were models specifically created by Omni, which meant they were probably more dangerous than any of the others. He turned and saw the padawan @[member="Padak Arciso"]. He wasn’t ready for war like this. Jaxton doubted that he was.

“The Grandmaster and I will take the angels, defend the Chancellor from the rest. Call us if one of the angels gets close to you.” He said, stressing how dire the situation was. He began to walk forward, igniting his lightsaber and activating his battle meditation. The Grandmaster and Padawan would feel his presence increasing their moral, efficiency, and prowess.

“You know I’m an athlete, I can follow actions better than words. Tell me what to do if you need to.” Jaxton said before sprinting off to engage combat, slicing off the arm of an Angel droid that had just been blasted by a Genosian soldier. The droid reformed it’s arm using the rest of it’s body and attacked. Jaxton blocked the attack while refocusing his battle meditation to include the @[member="Gezzo"] then sent him a message with his mind.
Help the padawan and protect the Chancellor. They need more help than we do.

Darron knew he had spoken poorly after he had issued the order to Padak and Jaxton, the latter having been there when Teferi had passed on into the Force. Note to self, don't order Jaxton to leave you behind, he doesn't take it well. The Grand Master just nodded to Jaxton, as another rippled in the Force alerted him to company. Dozens of droids where climbing up from the floor below and marching towards them, their singular red eyes bearing down on them. Yet his attention never really got devoted to them as his blue eyes darted to the trio of angel-like droids that flew in. If his memory served right, and it usually did. Those specific models had been called Seraphims in Teferi's holocron, and from the entries he had read on them they were particularly dangerous. It also didn't go unnoticed that their single red eyes seemed to be a much darker color than the others, these are being controlled specifically by that monster. This should be interesting, he thought, before springing into action.

"Geonosian, I want you to cover the Chancellor and blast the droids that are walking am I clear? Padak, guard the Chancellor and beat blasts back at the oncoming droids. You aren't ready to physically engage that large of a number yet. "

He was going to issue an order to Jaxton, but the Zeltron Knight was already running at full speed towards the group of Seraphims as well. Good heart and a brave soul, he reminds me of myself. I'll be putting him on missions with myself from now on. I need to see more of what he can do, he thought. As he prepared his strategy, he addressed the Chancellor before diving into the fray himself. "Chancellor, please stay low, but if you see a shot. Take it. I promise you will be off world in moments and on my personal cruiser, The Teferi." As the syllables left his mouth, he was deep in Vaapad again and the Force was flowing through the open circuit he had created.

With the Force augmenting his speed, the Grand Master was practically flying across the durasteel floor as his feet worked feverishly. His twin blue blades worked furiously to deflect the bolts as he ran to the outermost edge of the hangar. A straight forward assault would be suicide even for a Jedi of his caliber. Shouting at the top of his lungs, Darron issued orders for Jaxton finally. "Run to the outside, take that Seraphim closest to you. These two are mine, and yes use your athleticism and don't allow yourself to be surrounded!"
The sustained lasers fired towards him as the center most pair fired at him, and Darron had to increase his speed to avoid getting roasted to a crisp. Giving little thought to his own well being, he tried to bait most of the droids to fire upon himself. Yes, he was the leader of the Jedi, but the Chancellor was the lynchpin and he wouldn't allow harm to fall on her. He could feel Jaxton's battle meditation working on him, and it only helped solidify his confidence in what he was doing.

Seeing a strategy forming, he launched the blade in his right hand in a powerful saber throw at the center Seraphim, the blue blade taking a wide arc to try and attack the droid from the back. As his focus was mainly on that blade, he ran to the wall, took a few steps up it and launched himself off of it towards the other Seraphim. The Force, enhanced his leap as he got above all the droids and brought his blade in a powerful slash at the droid that served @[member="Omni"] ....

Even with the aid of the force keeping her body somewhat fresh, running up flight after flight of stairs was taking a toll on her legs. Her heart was racing faster than it probably ever had been before. The other difficulty was dealing with the swarms of running people. They ran in all directions likely with a number of different thoughts fueling them. Those that ran down likely wanted to escape the immediate threat, and likely assumed it would be resolved and then they could go up again. Those that ascended likely wanted to get to ships and try to escape the planet. Those that ran along the floor were likely looking for family or shelter. Regardless they all were in her way. Pushing through them was a burden and a troublesome task, and realistically her goal was somewhat absurd anyways. She needed to go up a few hundred floors to reach her destination, a task that would take a long time and leave her completely spent. Yet she knew it was where she needed to be.

She finally stopped after climbing about fifty floors, or more or less... she was not entirely sure nor was she looking for any kind of markings to tell her. Droids were still not entirely common on this level though, so she did not imagine that she had gotten that far up. The young Jedi Knight needed a speeder. Badly. She also knew that people would likely be in danger at the edges of the building, where as she was currently more towards the center of her current tower.

Her gaze drifted towards the stairs and groaned. She did not want to climb any more. Some time had passed too, maybe someone had finally figured out how to get around whatever it was that was locking down all the electronics. It was not a long jog before she reached the edge of the building where the walkways and many speeder parking spots were located. To her surprise not a single Seriph droid was located here. In fact, only one individual was around that she could tell. Wow, people picked up that standing around was dangerous pretty quickly, she thought. It was obvious that people should, but still. Many were not smart and some would try and fight. Others would try and be opportunists. Which begged the question, what kind of individual was this one.

The Jedi began to approach him when suddenly the speeder he was near came to life. "Thank the force," she said under her breath and she quickly ran up to the man. "I'm a Jedi," she flashed her saber hilt, "I hate to do this but I really need this speeder." Without even a word the man motioned for her to take the speeder. This bowed to him and jumped in. She had not expected for him to give it up so easily. It was rather strange, but she did not begrudge him at all, and simply left him while ascending. She flew with her left hand while keeping her right with a lightsaber in hand to try and bat away any incoming laser fire.

The Seraphim ceased firing their beams as soon as the Grandmaster came close, the powerful composite beam lasers cut out almost immediately as the repulsor-lift engines upon the angels backs powered up. The massive and heavy droids scrapped across the ground as their skeletal wings dragged them away from the Jedi Master and towards his flank.

They twisted themselves, and then lurched forward once again. The Seraphim bounded forward each one striking like a viper towards the Grandmaster's back aiming to impale him two fold upon their talon like claws.

The Droid although slightly damage stood again, it's tall lithe form looked down at the little Jedi Knight. Its head was damaged almost entirely beyond repair, although it hardly seemed to care. The Broken droid made a chirping screeching noise, and then the wing upon its back extended forward. The Laminanium appendage shifted slightly, and then stabbed forward towards the Jedi Knight, aiming to impale the man.

The abominable creation of Omni managed to cut a swathe through the trooper platoon and make its way onto the hangar platform. Bits of armor and flesh dangled from Sev3n's claws. An impaled child hung limply from one of the terentatek's massive tusks. In the darkness of a once shining planet, the gigantic beast was illuminated by plasma bolts and explosions. Gleaming red eyes shone wickedly. Synthesized laughter boomed from the creature, hitting that bass note which seems to vibrate the stomachs of listeners.

"Statement: my processing sensors scent you, meatbags. Your blood runs with the Force. You shall feed my appetite."

Sev3n, of course, could not smell. Nor did he have an appetite. The terentatek which he controlled, did, however. Its beastly mind was thoroughly dominated by Sev3n's artificial intelligence, but it could still process and analyze the monster's hunger. Terentatek fed upon force users. Eating them. They were also known as Jedi Killers. A terentatek directed by a class 4 combat droid combat algorithms would be.... formidable. The AI received a sudden message from Omni. Assassination Programming, activate. Target classification: level 8. Jedi. Terminate.

The servant of Omni ripped the humanoid youngling off its tusk in a spray of gore. It flung the lacerated body toward the tall meatbag with blonde hair facing off against several Seraphs. Then the terentatek let our a blood curdling roar and ten feet of two and half ton spiked muscle hurtled for the Jedi with long blue hair.

Droids and Jedi and Chancellor

Padak knew Darron was correct in his statement about him not ready for mass combat like this. To many droids. He stood close to the Chancellor, activating his blue blade, feeling the Force fill him, as well as another strange feeling. He felt more confident, like he could defeat these droids single handedly. He turned to the Chancellor and spoke.

"Don't worry ma'am. We'll be outta here before you can say 'Republic'."

He turned back to face the droids. Many were droids found all over the city: cleaners, sentries, laborers, and many more types. He gathered the Force, and pushed at the line of mechanical foes. To his surprise, the Force Push was stronger than normal, blasting many droids away. A majority fell off of the platform or into others. Either way, they were no longer a problem.

A blast of energized plasma soared towards him, and he reflexively blocked it, sending it to the droid that fired it. One droid, he noted, had a fuel tank on it, probably a service droid for hovercars of starships. He lifted that droid with the Force, and smashed it into the center of the groups of approaching droids, and pulled the ceiling panel above it out, smashing it into a hovering Seraphim droid. The Seraphim went flying into another Seraphim, knocking both out of the sky and into the darkness below. He then pulled an electrical conduit out of the ceiling, leading it into the the growing puddle of fuel several meters away. The fuel ignited, and a woosh of flame spread outwards, engulfing droids, damaging or destroying them.

He then used the Force to create a shield of metal plates and droids, protecting him and the Chancellor from the blast. He dropped the debris, looking at his handiwork, then seeing more droids, including a hulking monstrosity covered in blood crawl up from the lower levels.

Spencer felt that everyone of the younglings were safe and calm, the effect should last for a bit longer as well as Phylis' new boost of confidence. Spencer pushed herself off the wall and made sure she had everything, the last thing she needed was to lose her lightsaber -- it was quite annoying to have to make a new one. Leaving the youngling room she turned a few corners. Using the force to boost her speed she caught up with Phylis and the children. They were calm still and her Master had a nice air of confidence, it was reassuring and Spencer walked close to her Master.

"How did it feel?"

The girl referred to the connection that they had made, Spencer knew she was in a lot of trouble, but the only relationship she wished to fix or to press along with is the one with her Master. Despite everything, Spencer needed Phylis more than anyone else in the order.

"Master, I'm sorry I did it without acknowledging you...but I thought it was in best interest of the children and for yourself."

The droids had driven her from her rooftop and back down to the street level. She had lost the security force, assuming them to have pulled back to the hanger she moved through the streets calling on the force for speed, her purple blade a blur as she danced through the droids, leaping over them and pushing for the spaceport but for everyone that fell, two seemed to replace them. This was a fight she was not going to win.

Deactivating her lightsaber she pushed herself to get to the hanger bay as hard as she could. She extended her empathy, cautiously as she moved careful only to engage if she had too now. Gone was the overwhelming fear, most people had either evacuated or were dead. There were still flickers of fear of rage and determination as battle for life an one force signature she could never fail to recognise.
@[member="Darron Wraith"] @[member="Omni"]

Hangar bay 14 was overwhelmed. Droids swarmed it, scaling the walls and dropping inside. She could sense the danger he was in, that they were all in but how to get to them? Really Rosa, your a Jedi and your asking how? she chastised herself. She didn't slow her pace, she increased it, calling on the force she leapt high as she could, he lightsaber igniting as she landed atop the hangar bay wall. Flashing to her sides to dispose of those who were climbing beside her before she sent a telekinetic wave across the top, aiming to dislodge as many as she could before somersaulting backwards of the wall and into the bay.

Her eyes fell on Darron as the angel like droids surrounded him. Grabbing one with the force she pulled it away, spinning towards it she aimed to sever it in half.

Coruscant University

Trilan was sitting at his desk grading papers when the lights in the large classroom went out. A few of his students screamed, laughed, or otherwise made noises and Trilan gave a chuckle at the screams.

"Now I know a few of you so called adults are still afraid of the dark, but let's at least try to hide it in front of your peers." Trilan said as he fished a flashlight out of his desk. Most of the twenty three students chuckled at the remark but their laughter was cut short as explosions and the sound of engines could be heard nearby. Trilan grabbed his sheathed sword and stood, listening with a practiced ear. As the emergency lights kicked in he heard whining sounds and crashes throughout the University.

Blaster fire.

Trilan drew his sword and motioned for the students to stay quiet, they did so but it was mostly out of fear. Mechanical clanking could be heard in the hallway outside. Trilan stood at the ready with focused eyes as they kicked down his classroom's door and opened fire. Trilan sidestepped at blinding speed and lunged into the droids, beginning to cut them down in a frenzy.

OOC: guys... Sev3n isn't a droid. It's an AI inside of a terentatek. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Terentatek

Sev3n's combat sensors alerted it to the vicinity of explosions. It began running trajectory algorithms. Explosion point of origin: starfighter. Threat level: High. Course of action: counterattack. Nanoseconds had passed. The gigantic hulking terentatek diverted its charge, skidding as it came close to the blue haired Jedi and the Chancellor. Within such a close proximity, starfighter pilots would not dare to engage a hostile unless they wished to injure their glorious leader in the process. Collateral damage would be unacceptable.

The behemoth turned to a nearby derelict transport and grabbed its tail with its claws. There was an immense shriek of metal, as of a thousand metal nails upon a chalkboard. Sev3n tore the tail loose and hurled it at the oncoming fighter. If it did make a strafing run, the fighter would have to get close. Too close. Even a nominal piece of shrapnel in the way of a starfighter going in excess of 1,000 kilometers an hour could shred it.

Gezzo zipped around the room to the Chancellor, firing off rounds from his sonic baster at the droids. Every time he hit one it would fall into a thousand pieces and then reform back to it's shape. This was complete madness, no matter what he did this demon droids simply would not die. He hovered close to the chanellor, his wings fanning her, as he took aim at a large metallic creature, @Sev3en. The monstrosity was far more grotesque than the other droids he had faced and for that it simply, positively just needed to die. Gezzo unleashed a furry of sonic rounds at the creature, hoping to blow it apart.

The senator fell backwards onto the floor in pain, he could here his light moans of pain as he squirmed on the floor. Zev took cover behind the statue once more as his pistol recharged for a second shot. "Come now Brunswick, you truly believe that you can stand in the face of Omni? It's impossibly naive of you." Stargo shouted back as his pistol made a quiet beep, indicating its charge was complete. Zev could have reached around and shot again, but he saw a much better solution to his problem. Ignoring the blood and pain from his arm, Stargo fired his shot into the leg of the statue, already unstable from barrages of blaster fire. The statue began to tilt and Zev hit it hard with his body, sending it plummeting straight for Brunswick.

Aurelia watched the Jedi fight, and was impressed. There also seemed to be a Geonosian with them too, which was pretty unusual. The insect was doing a good job though, so she just made a mental note to meet @[member="Gezzo"] after this was all over.

If they survived of course.

She took cover behind @[member="Padak Arciso"] and let him defend. However, she did get the opportunity to shoot a Seraph droid in the head with her blaster as it came in to attack the Jedi Padawan guarding her. Her hand trembled slightly as she fought to control her fear. She would not show these Jedi, or the machines, that she was terrified. If she died it would be as the first Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, not as a coward.

Still, she hoped it wouldn't come to that.

Easter Hangar - Senate Building
@[member="Thessa Kai"]

As if their prayers had been answered, the powerful thum of starfighter engines roared overhead. Cheers erupted from the clone company as several droids were shot from the sky, opening a small hole in their forces. It was about the only human emotion the clones had shown since their appearance.

"Appreciate the help, Rogue Squadron." Blaster fire erupted over Nomad's shoulder as the droid in front of him collapsed. Spinning around, the Lieutenant the commando had saved earlier stood, his blaster aimed at where the droid had been.

"Captain, most normal soldiers would tell that squadron they owe them a beer." When the Lieutenant noticed that Nomad wouldn't, or maybe he couldn't, respond, he sighed. "Never mind. I heard you trying to call for air support earlier, is that a big enough hole?"

Nomad turned and fired his rifle again at a trio of droids. The droid vanguard still charged them, but the clones now fought with renewed vigor. Nomad didn't need to answer the Lieutenant, for he'd soon see for himself. Within a few seconds, a familiar hum filled Nomad's ears. In this day in age, perhaps it wasn't so familiar, but to each and every clone, it was the sound of salvation.

Several LAAT/i dropshiops broke through the droid's air forces. Their autocannons firing, the dropships were falling fast, trying to make it to the hangar with their payload before they were shout out of the sky. Nomad cringed as he heard one of the dropships take a major hit. He was helpless, unable to do anything for his comrades as the LAAT/i crashed in a fiery ball among the droid army. If anything, their ranks would be scattered for several seconds.

As the dropships flew over the droid vanguard and to the hangar, they dropped their payload. Photon bombs executed dozens of droids at once, their metallic flames vaporizing within the brilliant lights. It took only moments after that for the dropships to land in a defensive semi-circle at the front of the hangar, their armored plates absorbing the blaster fire from the surviving droids. As the hatches opened, more of the Six-Sixty-Six entered the hangar. This time, though, more than just soldiers and commando's exited. Several smaller walkers, and two anti-air batteries were offloaded and were already being set up.

"Lieutenant, I want your men to fall back to the hangar doors." He pointed farther into the senate building, where the barricades to the interior were barely holding. "My men will hold this hangar, but we need to get as many people out as we can. The Rogues won't be able to hold air space forever, nor can we hold out their armies forever."

"We're abandoning the Senate building?" The lieutenant was moving with Nomad towards the interior when he heard the sound of heavy blaster fire. The walkers and anti-air must have just been set up, meaning they should have the upper hand for the moment.

"We're abandoning Coruscant." The Lieutenant tripped slightly, almost failing to recover from hearing those words. "Our forces are a mess. We have no foothold, and whatever advantages we get are only temporary. We need to retreat, regroup with our forces, and come up with a new plan. Right now the top priority is getting the Chancellor and the surviving senators to safety. I want you to prep your forces to hold this position while me and my men go farther into the building to retrieve survivors. Get any flyable spacecraft prepped and ready for takeoff in forty-five minutes."

The lieutenant slowed his pace as he reached the first barricade to the hangar. He gave Nomad a puzzled look as he gripped his blaster tighter. These clones...were actually going in there? There were so few of them. From the look of it, there seemed to be only five squads of four moving in, and one of them was led by Nomad himself. He had heard of front line bravery, but this was insane! His men, they knew the layout...but they were also exhausted and broken. Looking around, he had just enough men and women left to hold the barricades. Making a counter push with the clones were be suicide at best. Resigning himself, he straightened his back and saluted the Captain.

"Good luck, Captain Nomad. May the Force be with you."

"And with you, Lieutenant." With that, the armored figure motioned to his team, and the barricade was opened. "To all surviving Republic forces within the Senate building. The Easter Hangar is secured. I repeat, the Eastern Hangar is secured. Rendezvous with Six-Sixty-Six commando squads ASAP. Nomad out."

Nomad had entered the building.

Senator Brunswick could feel himself gasping for breath as he clutched the part of his stomach where he had been hit. 'Ugh, I'm gonna die.' realized the Kuati senator as he heard the sound of a beep, telling him that Stargo's gun had reloaded. Never, would've he ever thought that he'd end up getting shot to death underneath a centuries-old statue. ...Or not. Apparently he was going to get crushed underneath the statue.
"Come now Brunswick, you truly believe that you can stand in the face of Omni? It's impossibly naive of you."
Darren didn't even bother talking, he probably wouldn't have been able to anyway, judging by the fact that he was feeling rather sick from getting shot. What came next was a complete suprise. This old man infront of him, Zev Stargo, suddenly hit the statue with his own body, sending it down towards where Brunswick was. It was with using the last of his strength that he managed to roll sideways just in time as the statue hit the ground mere inches from his face.

As the dust settled, Brunswick still clutching his stomach, stood to face Stargo. If he was die, he was going to go down standing, not while lying down. Even as he faced death, he hoped for survival. It was an instict of any living organism. With a touch of a button on his wrist-watch, Brunswick sent out a silent distress call to all military troops within a three mile radius. Along with the call would be his current exact location, so a soldier wouldn't have too much trouble to finding him. Whether or not they'd find his living body or dead corpse was a completely different idea. And in depended on how exactly he confronted Zev Starg in the coming minutes.

The situation had turned dire in the span since the droids had begun attacking. Trilan had tried in vain to defend all of his students, the roof had collapsed on most of them when a drone smashed through the roof of his classroom, causing large chunks of duracrete to fall on those unlucky enough to be under the drone. The rest were gunned down by both the drone and the droids pouring through the doorway.

He was wounded, but he had a plan. Albeit a long shot.

He'd taken two blaster shots to the left arm and one on his side in the course of fighting his way to the University's com center, hoping to get out a signal to anyone who might receive it.

He pushed the dead coms operator to the side and activate an open channel, knowing it would draw more droids to the area.

(OOC: Anyone with a com should receive this)

"Anyone receiving this, this is Professor Trilan Tenthrad of Coruscant University, to my knowledge in the only one still alive. Stay away."

"Priority Two distress call located." Nomad paused for a second, bringing up the information on his helmets HUD. "Location of Senator Darran Brunswick confirmed."

"Team Two, location of Chancellor confirmed." Nomad checked the feed from Team Two's leader, confirming their location and where they marked the Chancellor. "Moving to assist in protection detail. Requesting back up."

Nomad and his team were to far away to assist Team Two. Unfortunately, so was every other team. Checking over locations as they moved, Nomad noticed that Team Three was closest to the Senator. If they could make it to him, he'd be able to head over to Two's location-

"Team Three, engaging hostiles in quadrant four. Attempting to reach trapped civilians."

Damn it. "This is Team One. Moving toward priority two distress call. Team Three, move in to assist Team Two when available." Nomad heard the confirmation from the other squad leaders and then proceeded to move forward.

As one unit, the four commandos moved through the crushed corridors of the Senate building. Avoiding the debris and fires as best they could, they ran into little droid resistance through the path they took. Any droids were easily dispatched of, and soon enough they were at their target's location. A single closed door stood between Nomad and the Senator. Moving toward the right of the door, Nomad slammed his back, shouldering his rifle, pointing it at the unopened entry way.

"On three," Nomad ordered as his team set up their breach formation. "Jar, on flash. Seven, Klo, right high and left low on me." Without needing to hear their confirmation, Nomad hit the door's control panel. The door hadn't finished sliding open before Jar had thrown in the flash grenade. As soon as it went off Nomad was the first through the door, quickly followed by Seven and Klo. Raising his rifle forward, Nomad first registered the Senator, and then the danger he was in. Letting his rifle drop, the sling catching on his shoulder, Nomad charged forward as the other clone commandos opened fire on the hostile. Jumping over the statue, Nomad jumped a the Senator, in an attempt to tackle him to the ground in order to shield him.

(Im pretty sure all the droids I was directly controlling are dead now so making a general post)

As men and women of the Republic fought bravely against the untold tide of droid upon droid the realization slowly came upon them that they stood no chance. Omni brought millions of droids, each one more capable than any normal man. The Seraphim flew through the skies blackening minds and hearts. Thousands of other types of droids poured from openings below the surface and soon the entirely City was covered.

Every man that the Republic threw at Omni here would come back, each one serving the Evolution, each one having Ascended to new Heights. Omni's hand grew across the lands taking sector after sector of Coruscant and claiming it as its own. Soon the AI would control everything...and everyone upon the world of Coruscant.

"This is the end for you my friend." Zev growled as he aimed his pistol for the final kill shot, he would enjoy this...and so would Omni. Ever so slowly Zev began putting pressure on the trigger, thoughts of glory racing though his mind. Suddenly the door burst open and through the door came a team of heavily armored soldiers "Clones!? Zev shouted, recognizing the soldiers armor from what little history survived after the darkness. The old man fired at the senator anyway, just as the clone was jumping to tackle him. Before Zev knew it he felt pain coursing through his body and he fell backwards hard, with a massive [I[ THUD [/I]. His arms hurt and his stomach was in pain. He looked up and glanced at his body, blood and scorch marks littered his arm and body. His jacket was blaster-proof but he could still tell that some of the round went through enough to burn his flesh. The good news was that none of the rounds had gone through and through like the senators round, mostly because they weren't point blank. He wasn't sure where his gun was, but it wouldn't much matter since he felt a weakness in his bones...and for a split second the real Zev came back...and for reasons he couldn't explain he wanted to see his niece...he wanted to see Tegaea
