So apparently it's racist that a black character is also a smarmy, cocksure smuggler (like Han Solo, except Han was white, so he's fair game apparently). I guess portraying blacks as anything but total paragons of virtue is racist. But wait, that's what Mace Windu was. Oh, but that made him boring, you say.

Even having a black main character for the sequel trilogy (and throwing in a bit of race-mixing to boot when he inevitably romances the white female lead, I'm willing to bet) isn't good enough, because a couple meanieheads on the internet had the audacity to wonder whether a black Stormtrooper would fit into canon.

Here is a perfect example of why no ground should ever be given to psychopathic SJWs. One quickly learns that nothing is ever good enough for them. No concession will ever be enough, no amount of cultural welfare will ever satisfy them, because because nothing is meant to. They simply wish to play off an endless stream of guilt to acquire more and more concessions from self-conscious white people..

Nothing will ever be good enough. So take your cranial diarrhea back to Huffpo or Black Girl Dangerously. No one cares.

You said yourself that there is nothing wrong with an all-white cast in a movie. And there isn't. Blacks are free to make their own space adventure films.

Even if Lando was a blatantly stereotypical black caricature that put 20-inch spinners on the Millenium Falcon and started shucking and jiving in the cockpit while muhdikking Leia in her slave girl outfit, I still wouldn't care.

If Star Wars offends your fragile sensibilities so much, feel free to, I don't know... not like Star Wars.

Yes I am a psychopath, yes I've been sent to doctors, therapists, even to the mental health department in the military. I'm not a shining example of mental stability nor am I claiming to be. But this is a topic that's been debated about for years, and I don't think it's going to be put to rest anytime soon. We can go back and forth all night but I think I am too prideful to keep fighting about it. My therapist tells me don't let little things work you up. And that's what this is, a little thing. I have my opinion and how I feel the Star Wars films are, and you clearly have yours. So I need to take my medication and keep calm before a little thing sends me off the deep end lol.

So, let's just bury the metaphorical hatchet. I'd love to thread with you sometime, friends?

I'm more upset that this discussion was on black characters and not alien species. This is Star Wars, I'd rather see more aliens. Less human dominance and more sub-humans / aliens. Though a good three dimensional black character is [member="The Dark Man"] from what I've read of his posts.
