The Game is Afoot (FWC, SJO)

Though content with just sitting there and listening Tana decided to voice a small amount of his option, "Though it is possible, that even if these attempt where but a mere distraction, your attacker still put effort into in the off chance you were killed? maybe like a hypothetical side affect of what their actual intention was"? The best was he could come up with an analogy would be like stunning some highly wanted criminal, the entire process was made to try and take someone in not lethally, but at the same time if said person was to die somhow, there would be no draw backs. "It is just a though, because I personally believe that these attempts are still a threat and that you should be a bit worried about your life, lest these possible fake attacks do actually kill you some how". It may have not been the most likely of reasoning, but in the world of assassination anything was possible, not matter how strange it sound.

Some people were still trying to force conclusions despite the lack of evidence to support their theories. Without any true investigation, Jyoti wasn't ready to posit anything on her end.

She turned her gaze over Vikar. "On the matter of the assassination attempt, I think it's best that we deploy a small team to Kuat for an investigation and inquiry. There's really nothing more to be done without gathering evidence and picking up on some concrete leads to check out."

Two or three of them at Kuat would probably be sufficient to poke around Kuat, Cassius being her first choice as partner. She knew him to be discrete when needed, and thoughtful as he had displayed with his questioning thus far. Like her, he also possessed talent with postcognition, specifically in psychometry.

"Now what of these messages you spoke of earlier? When did you start receiving them? Would you allow us to review them?"

Her account of the event was fuzzy at best, which could be expected. It was a traumatic, chaotic event – a lot of people either can’t remember the details or simply don’t want to. His gaze moved downwards and a closed fist hovered in front of his mouth as he tried to process what little information was given. An open square… someone would have had to know she was going to pass through that area. Detonating it prematurely, though? Someone good enough to be able to hide a bomb in an open area like that should also be patient enough to set off an explosive when the target was near.

His ears perked up at Jyoti’s notion of heading to Kuat. He silently agreed that would be the best possible course of action. They couldn’t do much here by speculating as to who could have done this. Also, if he could be in the square where it happened, he might be able to determine what happened due to his psychometric abilities. Reading a place that was a site of violent death was never easy, but he hoped that he could move past that and see who planted the bomb.

“I agree,” Cassius spoke up. “We can glean a lot more if we can actually go to the scene of the attack.”

Discreetly, he sent a message to T-4D4 on his datapad to prep the Stardust Melody for takeoff and make sure they had enough fuel for a trip to Kuat.

Claire pulled from her purse a datapad with a quick swipe of her fingers she brought up the graffiti and the message from Kuat, "Here red circles appeared across Coalition space and then the mysterious messages began appearing on Alderaan near my store front, and it was sent to all my clients that I'm a traitor that I am a First Order sympathizer a traitor to freedom everywhere and deserve a traitors death."

She had seen the notes a hundred times looked at them the Queen had every slicer even a few from the Metal Lords look at it. They were still working on it the messages had bounced through so many portals it was hard to say where it had originated from. It was disturbing it was difficult and worse even as she had talked about Torie she had that sinking feeling it sounded like Torie was the villian.

But that couldn't be. She wouldn't believe it.

"We can go to Kuat if you want. Leave here and meet there." She didn't think it would look good if they were meeting about an opening to all leave and go on the same ship somewhere else. no..too obvious?

She didn't know she only knew she was tired of this and wanted it over.

As I'd been on the sidelines I had to agree Kuat was where information could be gleaned willingly or not.... Having sliced into Claire's datapad I sent her a message M'lady Organa while I agree that Kuat would be the proper choice if you plan to go gather intel I'd like to let you know I'll be flying alongside you cloaked if you intend to return there. Looking towards the assembled Jedi I nodded and said "To Kuat then, different jumps so that we can all remain as anonymous as possible." Bringing my right fist against my chest I cut my gaze to Claire and said "M'lady, a pleasure as always..." Then pulling away from the assembly I began moving towards the exit to re-board The Dauntless and find some answer willingly or not on Kuat...

Kuat did she really want to go back there? Yes she wasn't one to turn away from something because it was difficult no. She was one to take it by the horns and wrestle with it until she had a firm grip on it.

She saw a flash on her data pad picking it up to make sure it wasn't something to bring more bad news. No it was Andorreth being ever careful as usual. She looked up but did not need to contemplate this at all. She began tapping out the reply.

"Captain Vikar" her eyes settled on Andorreth even as he made his way out, "You likely already know the answer to this question of course I am going. I'm not one to turn and run. It's not really part of who I am. I will see you soon." Their last space flight had been wrought with angst, danger, explosions, poisons, red headed women, and an space walk. She couldn't imagine what lay ahead.

"Will I see you all on Kuat then?" She nodded to them all, "I hope we find some conclusion to this. If it exists."

Before she hit send on her datapad, she added a line.

Do you think it's Torie doing this? then she hit send to answer Andorreth's message.

As I re-boarded The Dauntless I got a message from Claire. "Do you think it's Torie doing this?" Sighing I headed into the cockpit and began starting up the engines. As I began lifting off I also started programming a jump to Kuat. I'd be a synched jump alongside Claire's ship. Easier to dodge sensors that way.... I pulled off into the upper skylanes before breaking atmo and engaging the autopilot while I waited. Then I began tapping out a message. "Claire, Torie makes the most sense. You and I have spoken of some of her choices in the past and it'd be incredibly easy to take advantage of an altered state of mind. My guess is she's not fully aware she's stacking bodies. I think someone else is using her as their weapon, otherwise the pirates would've simply destroyed the ship I rescued you from."

"They wouldn't have cared about retrieving data which bring to mind the fact that you're being painted as a villain that sympathises with the First Order. You wouldn't have been left alive if you weren't meant to suffer. I think your sister has been conditioned to want you to hurt and someone else is pulling her strings. I'm waiting in orbit join me there and we can discuss more." ~ Vespera

She felt her heart break. She had to admit it being Torie made the most sense based on what had been said. She walked slower thinking about it as she made her way down the staircase to the first floor she had to stop and consider it all.

Shaking her head she just didn't want to accept it. It was easier thinking someone else, then she looked down to see there was a reply from Andorreth. What she read confirmed her thoughts it didn't make it any easier.

She noted how he signed, he was in hunter mode wasn't he. Vespera. That's what was needed though, a hunter some one with the skills and senses to find an answer. They should have pressed the prisoner for more before setting her up. Maybe she didn't know more though.

Her new ship, the Endless Dawn waited at the space station. Her shuttle would take her there. Not a lot of teeth but more than her last ship. It would take more than one pirate ship to take her out.

He was on board The Dauntless for certain, he loved his ship took great pride in it. It was the view she remembered vividly. She had not forgotten. She couldn't

She tapped back an answer, "On my way." They'd discuss it all things pointed to Torie. She prayed it wasn't so.

It was cold and dark where she lay how long had she been here now? She tried to roll over again to stare up into the darkness somewhere up there is a light. Somewhere up there freedom from all of this.

She didn't know the day.

One thing she knew, she was alone. Where was [member="Bryce Bantam"] now to offer her help that she desperately needed. Where was Claire? Had they all forgotten her. Had she given them reason to forget. Once again she began to cough her chest hurt lately. They weren't the best kidnappers but they were efficient at pain. Her foot still hurt.

She had bitten the last one that came in, a neimodian if she remembered right, She laughed he deserved it. She was beginning to realize she'd likely die in this place...but not before giving them some comeuppance. Yeah...they'd get it.

She would love some tea. Hot tea instead of the gruel they called food. I'd love a bantha burger right now.

Tanasuki would have said more but with no real evidence to go on just yet or a clear lead that he knew of the Padawan decided to just sit to the side in silence as the more experienced member talked about their next plan of action in their investigation. Well he would have if not for the somewhat sudden decision to change location, not that it would do any bad going to the scene of the attack with the person who was targeted just seemed ironically dangerous.

In the end though it was not really a choice he had, following behind the other Jedi as they departed from the room, heading to the landing bay were each of the private craft where docked, his interceptor sitting neatly next to the other private craft. Climbing into the craft the young boy would start up the engine, in but a few minutes ready to fly a move out, himself messaging [member="Claire Organa"] and the others, "ready to move out and awaiting orders, I just hope we don't run into any space pirates along the way".

Slight joke but also serious, if the attacks on Claire were anything to go by these guys had money to throw around, and an escort dogfight did not sound all to fun.
