Once [member="Gilamar Skirata"] and [member="Soliael Devin Talith"] had finished their formal appearances before the conference, silence fell until Phylis asked where they were to go from here, and Kiskla added her own voice. Between Kiskla and Iella, and previous Levantine statements, that meant the three biggest branches of the Jedi were onboard. And that right there was success enough.
"We've covered the New Order threat, at least partway, Master Alince," said Jorus. "The Crusade feels they've got their end of things well in hand, and between them and the Confederacy, I'm doubting the Horde'll be in a position to hurt people for a long time, if ever. The Confederacy worries me some -- there's Sith connections there at high levels -- and then there's the whole One Sith bit." He grinned without humor. "That's what that call was, by the by. Sith tryin' to drive a bigger wedge between Jedi and Mando than's already there. False flag accusations. Y'all may not have much love for each other these days, but Force knows nobody in this room would take the side of the One Sith. Not after Donanyd, Rhommamool and Osarian, not after Junction and Toprawa, not after the nuke at Keldabe. We're all pretty fething clear on this stuff. My conversation with Vazela or Vilox or whatever he calls himself reminded me that not everyone might know a few things.
"First off, I know the One Sith folks that hit the Fondor shipyards, and as a result it's pretty fething clear that the One Sith are backed by Darth Apparatus, who led the invasion that saw Keldabe's outskirts get nuked, and Darth Vornskr, the former Emperor Kaine Zambrano, King of Panatha." His eyes narrowed just slightly. "I hope I'm not comin' on too strong here, Varanin, but Panatha's one of the independent worlds inside Fringe territory. If y'all are serious about the One Sith bein' a trouble, talk to your leaders, your High Council. Get them to nail down their people's allegiances. Ask'em if they're satisfied with their bannermen bowing to both them and the One Sith's Dark Lord -- because I guarantee that's not in the Fringe's best interests. So if you're serious about contributing to this sort of galactic coverage, take some steps that way, yeah?'
His eyes flickered with hyperlight for a moment. "As far as Black Sun space goes, my gut says the Suns hate the Feds - the Confederacy -- more than they hate the Republic. The One Sith are a trouble, to be sure, but my instinct tells me we'll have trouble with the Feds, the Suns, the Horde, that whole region in the southeast. It's gettin' powderkeg-like. On the pretty serious assumption that we can handle the One Sith, or that they burn'emselves out, I think we better start laying groundwork for taking care of that potential situation. That's my home ground, the Mara Corridor, Omega space, Hutt territory. I'm more than fine with helping coordinate folks when it comes to that region, if action ends up bein' necessary. Thoughts?"
