The heart of the blade.

"Well, if they said that, then you are a knight by any standard test. Congratulations, Flinx."

She would have stopped him from taking the blaster away from the BB unit, but he had already placed the pieces in front of him. In the middle of eating, he had done it before she even finished her bite of food.

"It could have come in useful."

When she asked if he wanted to hear what she had learned that day and the fact he didn't answer, Seo assumed he wasn't interested. He asked if she wanted to see his new weapon or test it, she shook her head. Through the Force, he might feel her rather neutral stance, but she did not verbally speak anything.

Flinx smacked his head dramatically with the heal of his hand, "Sorry I wasn't specific enough, you mentioned you listened to the animals and birds, let me hear about that. I never pinned a lone wolf like yourself to be a birdwatcher. did you hear anything interesting? also sorry about the thing BB did with the holdout blaster. He knows I despise those uncivilized crude things. Don't worry he will have that thing back together by morning." Flinx would finish his meal and help clean up the supplies.

In a way Seo was glad he couldn't see because she almost gave him a shocked look when he slapped himself on the head with his hand. He also expressed interest in hearing about the observations she had made while he was gone. Apologizing again for the actions of his BB droid.

"Don't worry about your droid. He and I worked things out."

Making a slight motion with her hands, it was about as far as she went for body language. Even though he was blind, he might be able to get a far better read on her than somebody with sight.

"It's not like I can communicate with them, but I imitate their sounds. My people use sounds and body language to communicate. It draws less attention than speaking. Have you ever been to Lorrd?"

Flinx felt glad that the little droid became friends but that doesn't excuse his action. "No I haven't, but it sounds like a musical place that I can feel you are very proud of. So what are your plans now? Do some ruin diving? Take me back to your gleaming silver Jedi? honestly i don't really have a direction and I have a few days until my fleet carrier I commissioned shows up to meet me. I did have a meeting with an old friend but I'm unsure where to meet her. In other words I'm kinda wide open for now."

For a moment Seo was silent as she thought about how to explain to Flinx what Lorrd was like.

"It was a place that was filled with slavery and we needed to learn other ways to communicate. Luckily it moved past that phase, but traditions live on. A harsh world of desert and ice. There was one shining beacon there at one time. The great library."

He mentioned having a few days before pick up was going to happen and asked what her plans were. She sat on her rear, on the ground with her knees pulled up to her chest, her arms resting on them. This left her hands free to motion at the ruins around them.

"I am a historian. So while I'm here and until the Force speaks to me saying it is time to move on, I'll be staying here to study. Who is your friend?"

"I honestly don't remember BB here just came up and said an old friend of mine wanted to speak to me and that she would see me soon i don't know who she is but then again it could be anybody, I make friends easily. For all I know it could be one of the sisters from Dathomir, or that blind Jedi Jair, but my question is who and how would they find me?"

Flinx would think, since he was fully open to the force she could reed his mind as easily as reading a children's book but like an old beaten up book it seemed like there were a few pages missing.

"Anyway since I'm here and don't have to leave, I'll be happy to lend a blind hand. and I would love to learn this language of yours the best I can. The sisters taught me their language of gestures they use when they hunt, so I might be able to adapt it a bit. I would also love to hear and someday see this great library. I'm wanting to turn my refurbished fleet carrier into a traveling library."

"Don't find it odd her name wasn't given?"

Seo was not a mentalist herself, but more of an investigator. She could ask probing questions of him and gain information that way. The holes in his memory were not obvious to her.

"Limit it down to the obvious people from your past. Those that know how to contact you and go from there."

He offered to land a hand in her exploration and she wasn't about to decline the offer and the company. She travelled and worked alone so often, it would be change to have another person along.

"It's not so much a language, but a way to pass messages along. Such as when the animals scattered at your return to camp. It was their way of telling me and anything else there was potentially danger coming."

"That's what I've been doing, but I also like a surprise every now and then. Anyway I would love to lend a hand. Where do you wanna start?"

Flinx would think on her words and try to be more mindful of his movements in the future. "Well I'm feeling drained by today so I'm gonna go rest."

Flinx would undo his saber harness and change into his tunic and pants as he slips under the covers of his pallet.

He claimed he had been attempting to limit his line of questions as to who it might be that wanted to contact him and had narrowed it to two likely people. That was good enough for her and then he mentioned liking some surprises.

"Well to be fair, aren't I a surprise? I know you are to me. Anyway, see you in the morning then."

Cleaning up her items from dinner, Seo made sure everything was put away to keep any animals away and climbed into her own bed for the night. Morning bird sounds woke her up just before dawn and she sat up and got dressed for the day.

She hadn't answered him the day before as he had gone to bed before she could and plotted where she wanted to start. Getting breakfast made for them from items out of her pack, she had enough food for an additional day.

Taking out her datapad, she pulled up the information she had about the location and made a few notes. When he did wake up, she would tell him her answer.
