Arrogance, such a thing went hand in hand with misfortune, and what was more arrogant than a Mandalorians pride, they were the galaxies elite no one would dispute that but in a flash, the cybernetic pirate began to straighten to his full height, there was a twitch that ran the length of his hand before withdrawing his vibro-blade, he pointed it forward and with a scream from the cyborgs automated voice box. "Charge Jackals, Mandos bleed just like the rest of us!"

It was with that the legs completed arks throwing up debri and dirt in his stride, he was running towards [member="Vilaz Munin"], his men fanning out behind him. There was a gesture and than there was a quick discussion as he gestured [member="Tiali Orazio"], to engage [member="Mel'sivlal Huedain"]. "I want his helmet."

Sorry about the response time, the following will be quicker I promise.

Thraxis would hear the order, his eyes would be filled with euphoric joy, "AH HA HA HA!" he would yell, his mouth unhinged, "Lets kill the poor sods!" he would conitune his yell, his hands drawing his Twin Heavy Blaster pistols as he charged head long into the fray, though he made sure their was always at least three meatshields in front of him in his charge, as he ran he would scream curses, towards them, he couldn't remember the last time he felt this surged rush before, it was like he was reawakened, his bloodlust had long remained dormant and his pistols had long since released their last volley.

Tiali still hovering Looks to Flannigan "As you wish." the Jetpack fires up launching him further into the air.

Using the zoom on his visor, he looks for the Target noticing the large red armored man. He fly's towards him inspecting him further at the same time noting the wound will slow him down.
Turning his visor to normal sight again his hand goes to his side gripping his LL=30 blaster pistol and raising it to aim at shiv his other hand swiftly grabs one of two thermal dentonators readying it to drop like a person size bombing run.

Still flying through the air Making a harder target to hit, he begins to rapidly fire upon Shiv with his blaster pistol, flashes of red exit the barrel traveling towards Shiv.

Once Tiali is in position he would activate and Drop the thermal detonator so it lands near (in explosive range) Shiv in hope to injure him.

Cadan would look towards and raise his Raven Gauss Rifle. Unlike his two comrades he would hang back, ready to shoot at anyone who will pop up and attack his Admiral. He began to calm his breathing, this was when Cadan was most at home. Well sort of, Cadan was most at home with a Twi'lek under his arm and some dreamdust in his body.

He would open up a comm to his comrades. "I got your back boys." He then opened up a comm to Tiali. "Call if you need help."

Shiv dodged most of the blaster fire but one bolt grazed his shoulder pad, not damaging him physically but leaving a burnt streak across his armor. Seeing the grenades in the man's hand, Shiv realized the attacker's plan. Shiv began to back away while wildly firing his rifle. He'd have to think fast if he was going to survive this.

But this man had another thing coming if he thought he'd be an easy kill.

For several long seconds, Anija stared at her sensors in mute surprise. Swearing softly, she watched the four red blips closing quickly on her location. 'I knew it wouldn't be that simple...' she thought to herself as she looped the Pathfinder up and out of it's orbit. She'd flown this vessel with Arrbi more times than she could count... and she hoped that she could stay one step ahead of her opponents.

Taking a deep breath, she began flipping a few controls, and watching as the ready lights on the Pathfinder's weapons systems flickered from amber to green. All the while, ANNE was counting down the c range on the attacking fighters. With a deep breath, Anija carefully moved the thruster control stick, rolling the vessel up on it's side to present the stronger ventral shields. As she did so, a target lock times in her helmet. Grinning, Anija lined up one of the fighters in her crosshairs and pressed the firing stud for the lasers. Green bolts lanced out towards her target and she watched them impact the starboard engine. Smoke and flames burned brightly for a moment before being snuffed out by the vacuum. It wasn't a killing shot, but the damage was done. She watched the fighter wobble for a moment as the pilot struggled to regain control.

The wild firing from shiv Fly's around him thinking fast He starts executing evasive maneuvers, But the randomness of the bolts were harder then expected to dodge he dodged most of them but was still skimmed on his arm. He continues to fire But the shots are slowed in pace and less accurate due to the Maneuvers.

He continues the original plan Dropping the thermal detonator so it lands close to shiv in hope for an effect.

After continuing with his plan He fly's over the wreck of the ship using smoke to cover him landing in some debris of the crash. Gripping his other pistol He uses the debris as cover "You little kark."

Ignoring the pain in his left arm using the cover to his advantage.

In a matter of time the peaceful undisturbed planet of Gallos which had no means of violence or chaos suddenly turned into a war zone in some quadrant of it. The moment when the Rally Master left his ship it all became an actual skirmish. Slugs and blaster bolts were fired and organisms were charging towards each other from all opposite sides waiting to have their fists speak for themselves. Soon they would know the wrath of Mandalore.

Still levitated in the air thanks to the repulsor pack the Warrior was still firing plasma bolts to multiple hostiles and not just concentrated to one particular. However, his focus went to one charging figure who was a reminder of the infamous General Grevious during the Clone Wars. A warrior Grevious was during those times feared by Jedi and Republic Allies. Time to see if he could be a replica of the Separatist General. He unloaded all the reminding amoo in his WESTARs at the Droid and begin flying towards him, but not flew as if he was going to ram someone over. Time to see what these scums were made of.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One pilot down, three more to go. The damaged engine was enough for the pilot to meet his fate as the starfighter begin a descent that only spelled death. However, sacrifices were necessary to gain an advantage over your opponents. While the Mandalorian Ace focused her attention on the pilot two of the survivors dropped back to be behind the Field Marshal and to have the third pilot as bait to gather the concentration of Anija while the other two pilots could have the chance and try to neutralize their opponent.

Humming, buzzing whirling. The sound of Hydraulics lifting.. a slight "Swoosh" sound of a roaring engine.. A cloaked figure raising out of the camp, heavy thumping heard.. and then a screech much like a sonic bomb going off. ADAM had finally rebooted his new toy.. And it was time to play. As the large machine began moving the sound of the hydraulics became louder and louder, a box that had been previous laying next to a building was suddenly smashed opened by a large white-metal hand.. It reaches inside to pull out what seems like a giant Hammer. A sudden gust blew back the cloak, or perhaps it was a tarp? That had covered the colossal creature. It stood around eight feet tall, and the hammer it had picked up was close to matching it.. It walked a little while around the camp while the AA turrets were being destroyed quite easily.. He figured it would settle into a ground fight, the opposing forces didn't exactly want to destroy the planet, let alone the city.. Chaos incarnate, that's what the Jackal's were.. anywhere they went, destruction was insured.

The supposed Droid was covered in Durasteel plating and appeared to be painted weight.. The sensors of the creature glowed yellow under a crown that acted as a brow.. ADAM had prepared his creation known as the "Titan" with everything he thought he would need. Nearby his Z-6 Rotary blaster cannon was waiting for it with its battery pack nearby. The large behemoth moved over and attached it to the underside of his right arm. He had prepared his flame projector and his power reserves were topping at 99.8% His right shoulder housed three anti-personnel missiles that he hadn't intended to use.. but was more than willing to.The eyes of the small lion-crested buckler on the left arm suddenly blinked into existence, and for a moment one would be able to see the behemoths Deflector Shield kick on and into life giving a blue orb glow around him only momentarily. The Behemoth turned his gaze towards his captain, at this point he would be raising his sword and calling for the charge.. But ADAM wasn't quite ready yet.. He found a spot where he wouldnt be hit by the random blaster fire and began tweaking his codes.

ADAM moved quickly from the spot he was taking cover in, and began revving up his Rotary cannon, getting into the fray of the battle and ready to beat some organic heads in.

A communication line opened, thrice coded.

"GUARDIAN. Respond" ADAM's voice would go over the transmission, an image of the four hexagonal creature that was his avatar appearing before the other hologram, a Diamond-shaped glowing core of light.

Location: ADAM's Cloaked personal ship on the other side of the planet
Allies: Jackals & Co
Enemies: Unspecified
Objectives: Wait for orders

"Roger, read you loud and clear. What are my orders?" the light voice of the Droid rang out, however it was in binary.. Extra security.

"You are to release the Tri-Fighter Droids on my command, in the meantime keep only minimal electricity running and prepare orbital bombardment. We will need it if things get too complex. Steer clear of the ships and only enter their scanner range if I tell you to do so. Command your crew to keep chatter to minimal" ADAM spoke in a very authoritative tone. He didn't hate the program, but that's all it was.. A program made to take orders.

"Roger, orders relayed. Awaiting confirmation to deploy droids.. Power set to minimum, preparing Turbo-Lasers." The Program's cheery voice was almost too much for ADAM, why had he given it such a cheery demeanor? No matter..

"Cut transmission and destroy the audio logs. You have your orders." At that, the transmission was cut..

ADAM's personal ship, an EXARCH V-1 with modified long-range turbo-lasers was in orbit on the other side of the planet, three Droid tri-fighters housed in it's hand ready to be deployed to defend the ship. It stayed low to orbit with its cloaking device on and its power set to minimal hoping to not become a target to anything around it. Inside was a crew of four, Three T1-Battle droids and GUARDIAN who's current body was a Commander Droid that was mostly rusted. The ship was fully stocked and prepared for combat, but only when ADAM gave the word.

Cadan took a pot shot and at few enemies, grazing one on the shoulder and another in the stomach. Cadan had heard from some of his fellow pirates that A.D.A.M had came along in one of his new toys. A smile cross Cadan's face as he thought about the mayhem A.D.A.M could bring. "Things are going our way."

Cadan would make a small charge to keep about five meters up, but as he ran a laser caught him in his thigh, luckily his armor took the damage well. Cadan now sat and waited, take small shots at the enemy.

Gallos was some out world worth nothing with people even poorer for the most part. The only reason it existed on any map was for the special ore within its crust. Currently no one owned the small rock, and that made it easy, but risky, for business. The difference was that the Mandalorians, my fellow warriors were claiming it. In fact they had pushed through and placed warriors and military supplies already on the planet. It was pretty much done already from what I could tell. According to the HoloNews several pirate groups were located on the planet, and some of the more Elite Mandalorians were making a game of hunting them down.

But that wasn’t why I was here on Gallos. I was on Gallos for cortosis. Lots of the small rock. As much of it as I could feasibly pull out of the ground without the Mandalore himself cracking me upside the head. I had come packing fairly light for my normal mode of business. Larraq had shown me to rarely do things small, but this was a long term operation. I thought it best to start slow, by just setting up a pair to IM-455 Modular Garrisons. One for the Mandalorians to use for whatever, and one for me to use as part of my mining operation. “Best start with theirs first boys” I called over the comm-channel letting the few living workers I had brought know to build the Mandalorian Outpost in its strategic mountain vista first.

The construction of the station was already well on its way, which was the immediate beauty of working with straight-forward design that was easily replicable. It would still take a few hours, of course. But that was the always the case.

In the meanwhile operatives from Saiba Security Solutions were joining the battle on the groundside of Gallos, they would further secure LZ points around the original LZ of the Mandos and start up fortification procedures.

The space station in orbit would serve as a node of transportation towards the backlands of the Mandalorian Territories, the cortosis would be mined and moved to the small procedural spaceports that would be constructed around the LZ’s being secured.

“How do we stand on the Rothana-matter?” he was asking for the construction efforts that Eridium was moving on Rothana, of course he knew that the Saiba Security Solutions personnel were doing a fine job of securing and rooting our resistance, that Eridium was working as efficient and profitable as possible.

Didn’t mean he didn’t want to hear it from Ven.

Gallos was impoverished, underdeveloped and pretty insignificant, truth be told. Or rather it would be insignificant if it did not have the luck of possessing a certain ore called cortosis. To be sure, cortosis was not phrik or beskar, but it was still valuable and sought by many. Hence why at this very moment, as the Mandalorians rooted out the pirate gangs that had infested the planet, Gallos was undergoing the first stages of being opened up to the outside world. For there was a god of such power and might that even the Force was dwarfed by him. His name? God Mammon. It was high time that Gallos made obeisance and paid tribute to the One True God. Capitalism.

And so Firemane was doing its part to bring progress and industry to the planet. Exploitation of cortosis would necessitate planetary development. Corporations would set up outposts to mine, which would require building up infrastructure. The natives would benefit because the aforementioned corporations could use cheap labour to exploit cortosis. Besides, they could serve drinks in cantinas. If foreign business was feeling in the mood to gain brownie points on the corporate social responsibility front, they might actually develop the planet.

From the improvised command post Firemane had set up Siobhan was observing and directing operations. Firemane squads had moved into one of the mines and were now busy cleansing in of pirate scum that had been so naughty to set up shop there. Those pirates were truly heinous because they undermined the orderly market process and used their ill-begotten gains for heinous ends like to fund raids, slave grabs and that sort of thing. So it was quite satisfactory to hear that at this very moment they were being gunned down swiftly, mercilessly and precisely. Survey teams were already moving in to map the mines and gain an idea of how much cortosis remained. Further Firemane operatives were being dispatched to support the Mandalorian warriors in the battle to take control, including the deployment of a few gunships to deliver death from above where needed, whilst also help secure the initial LZ's.

As resistance ebbed away, Firemane engineers moved down deep into the mine. For a change without encountering 4th wall breaking references about "drums, drums in the deep", cave trolls and balrogs since for once this was just a conventional operation. Surveys of the ore deposits and construction work would begin soon.

Progress. Always progress. If you aren’t moving forward you are getting left behind, and in life you adapt, or you perish. Gallos was fairly simple. Just a dusty rock with cortosis in the ground, and that was why I was here in the first place. I needed to adapt, so that I didn’t perish. Mining cortosis was easy, and refining it had become somewhat of an art form so it wasn’t exactly unknown anymore. Anyone with money could figure out how to do it. And as it turns out. I have quite a bit of money.

The IM-455 base for the Mandalorians got set into the side of a mountain, making it difficult to assault from the ground, and providing it cover on one side from aerial assault. It did limit its firing vectors, but that was of little consequence compared to the rest of the defesnse that would be on the planet.

Construction was well enough underway that I felt it acceptable to begin work on my own facility. Not that my fellow Mandalorians wouldn’t be allowed to use it, only that it would be owned and operated by ArmaTech, who would see to its defense as well. “Move on, get the droids setting up the refinement station and let’s get this thing put together so we can get to drilling.” I told the boys, still overseeing the droids working around me.

A steady tone sounded in Anija's ears. Weapons lock. Cursing softly, she yanked the flight controls sideways, and rolled the Pathfinder up on her port side to avoid laser from the two pursuing fighters. In doing so, she was able to get a more solid lock of her own on the fighter in front of her. Pressing her lips into a thin line, Anija took a breath, and pressed the trigger, loosing bolts of coherent light in the vessel's direction.

As the bolts streaked out towards the fighter, Anija felt her own ship rocked by shots from the two vessels pursuing. For an instant, a couple indicator lights on her control board blinked amber, and then Anija snapped the Pathfinder back over... though it didn't react quite as fast as her bes'uliik would have. Punching a few controls, she loosed missiles from t he rear launchers at the two tag-alongs.

Droids and workers continued to work heavily on setting up the two structures. Most of them had been moved from the IM-455 modular garrison set for the Mandalorian military and had begun building the mining facility for ArmaTech. It was a small mining facility, only meant to supply small forces with the rare ore hidden within the crust of the planet. The hope was that by the time the Mandalorians finished conquering and subjugating the planet that I would have a fully operational mining facility for my use and any other member of the Mandalorians. Or for my employees to use at their leisure. Seeing as I only had two employees I didn’t see a problem with this situation, especially since the facility had also come with the gift of a stronghold and access for my fellow Mando’ade.

Long was the road it took to finally get mining projects like this underway. It took time. You had to build things, put things together, and install equipment. It was a process I had done several times before and would do again. I had planets like Gromas, Aeten, and Concordia on my list of places to build.

(3/20)

Deep under the mountain work continued. Baring the sudden and probably plot-breaking arrival of dragons, balrogs and hordes of orcs, construction should be going well. Workers and labour droids provided by ARGH kept on toiling and setting up a mining base for Firemane Industries. For a number of reasons the outpost would be quite small. One of them being the consideration that this planet was terribly close to a nation of zealots and barbarians called the Primeval.

No, Lady Kerrigan was not biased at in this assessment. Hence why Firemane turrets were also being installed in the base. But it would be able to extract cortosis from the crust of the planet for a small force. Presumably enough to equip certain elite agents and make a profit by selling cortosis on the market. The base should be complete by the time the Mandalorians had assumed direct control. That was the benefit of employing so many droids: They could work hours without end and did not complain about lack of payment. Well...as a matter of fact, some did because apparently they had been listening to HK-36 too much! Their claims would be dismissed and work would continue.

xxx

Speaking of assuming direct control, alas the area deep beneath the mountains still required some purging. The Mandalorians had the subjugation of the planet well in hand as could be expected from the Clans, but Eldorai and Firemane forces had happened upon a party of pirate raiders. For a change, it was just that, common raiders, rather than cave trolls and other monsters, despite this writer's love for making meta-breaking references and such.

Anyhow, enough meta, on with the plot, for Kaida finally got to kill a few people. Kerrigan's pretensions of bringing 'progress and capital' to Gallos and opening it up to the worship of the god of free market capitalism did not concern her, though she could see the utility of a source of cortosis. After all, before Akala messed everything up she had gotten cortosis armour from the mine on Bespin. However, she had more immediate concerns on her mind, namely slaughtering the raiders she and a band of soldiers had just ambushed.

The dark hall was illuminated by flares and red bolts of blasterfire that flew through the air. From positions in cover Eldorai soldiers unleashed a hailstorm of fire with bolters and a shattercannon. Raiders, trying to get out of the killzone they had found themselves in, returned likewise. Slugs and blaster bolts were being fired, then the belch of a grenade launcher was heard when the pirates tried to blow themselves an opening. However, a telekinetic tug from one of the Angelii ended up deflecting the explosive and ended up giving the corsairs a taste of their own medicine. Kaida had been more in the background, directing her minions as they moved to encircle the corsairs. Then a cold chill seemed to manifest in the air with the gust of a wind and sweep across the room, chilling to the bone as the temperature suddenly seemed to drop.

The ceiling above the pirates seemed to freeze. Then seemingly out of thin air spikes of ice manifested. Large ice spikes. They surged through the air as they were tossed like spears. Whereas Kerrigan had ridiculously brutal, zero-finesse telekinesis, Kaida had cryomancy. She also happened to have some skill at ballistakinesis. Ice spikes propelled at an absurd speed and with great velocity were driven through the eyes, throats and into the veins of raiders. Cries of pain were heard, scum died or was ragdolled through the air when abruptly a wind gripped them tight, then the Eldorai closed in for melee.

With the set up going well my droids and their labors were continuing along nicely. The mandalorian defensive outpost was nearing completion, all it really needed right now was the interior modeled how they wanted it. And that required one of them coming to help direct traffic. Luckily I knew a few that could provide assistance. Unfortunately I had no Idea if any of them were on this planet and were willing to do so. When in doubt, broadcast a call. I had a full security group here on the ground anyway, so it wasn’t far off to broadcast a message. I doubt these pirates and smugglers would risk an attack anyway. “If there are any Mando’ade available, I am standing in a shiny new garrison that needs some direction about how y’all want it set up.” I said over the open channel. Once my message was out I turned my attention back to the mining operation that I was setting up.

The drilling had yet to begun, as the rig was still going up, but all for foundations had been laid and the braces were being put up as I spoke over the comms. It wouldn’t be too long until this was set up and pulling cortosis out of the ground. And even then I knew my fellow executives and I liked the idea of being able to get at the stuff without having to raid a place, or buy it off some other company. That was the goal right now. To have access to as much ore as I could and be able to produce whatever it was that I wanted. And right now, I wanted Cortosis.
