The Rains of Castameer

Castameer’s harsh, icy plains sit before you as you land. All around you your forces begin to disembark. Some have brought artillery, some tanks, others walkers. All have brought infantry, shivering from the biting wind.

Before you, in the distance, lies a great spire. It is the object of your mission here.

winter_fortress_by_josearias-d6jlw9j.jpg

Voracion Citadel

This fortification is heavily defended with 4 large bastions surrounding it and a line of trenches connecting. Turrets and artillery protrude from the bastions and in the spaces between the infantry and tanks wait for targets.

The Citadel itself is protected from aerial and artillery bombardment, but the bastions and trenches are not so fortunate. They are exposed to danger but their defenders are prepared to fight to the last.

As you look around you see areas of desolate forest, hills and rocky areas. Everywhere else the snow lies heavily. This will not be an easy advance.

Far above you can see the Omega and you can see the flashes and flares of battle as your comrades, friends and enemies try to break through. There’s not much time.

Grimly, you ready yourself for the attack….

Gray listened as the pilots of the dropship were speaking to each other and the pilots of their allies as they descended down onto the planet of Castameer. Fleets were in orbit engaging in their own battles and the fight for the ground was about to begin. Confirmation of more and more ships of different groups were being broadcasted as doing the same in other areas around the Voracion Citadel. This was likely to be a bloody battle with more casualties at the end of it than lives spared. Gray didn't like that thought, but it was the nature of war. And a war this was going to be.

Gray watched as the clouds disappeared from view and the snowy landscape of the planet emerged. The white blanket patched with areas of gray, brown, and black laid before him. Off into the distance the target stood ready and waiting for all of her enemies to come seeking the warm embrace of her thorny bosom. Gray just looked at it, studying it, for several moments before he said to the pilots, " Keep us low and get us in as close to that area between those bastions without getting fired at by those artillery. Pass on those orders to the other dropships as well."

Gray headed off to the hanger bay of the dropship. There was troops all ready and waiting for the battle to come. They were nervous, which was to be expected, as some adjusted their grips on their equipment and others shifted their weight constantly. The members of Lightning Company with him were making the last checks on their speeder bikes while they had the chance. All of them were loaded out as best as they could be right now, but they needed to shake this nervousness. Gray removed his helmet and said in a voice loud enough as many of them as possible could hear him, " I don't know about yall, but I think we could use more strippers in here. What do yall think? Should I form a company of combat strippers to entertain us and distract the enemy out in the field?" He got laughs from some, shaking heads from others. The mood of everyone had vastly improved though, which is the effect he had hoped for. He got a more serious look on his face and added on after a moment, " We have a fight ahead of us. You all know this. Some of us will die, others injured. Too few will make it unscathed. But despite that we have to do our best. We have to take out the enemy before us and take that gaudy place those Sith set up. The lives of our kith and kin are at stake if we lose, so we won't lose. Follow orders, protect those around you, and remember that your Alor is out there with you. Now, who is ready to show these Sith just how strong a Mandalorian can be?"

As Gray finished speaking, the gathered troops began to cheer and raise their weapons high. Their morale was high for now, and as if in acknowledgement of this fact the pilots announced they were about to land. Gray slipped his helmet back on and said to his troops, " Looks like we are about to land. Everyone run one last check of your gear and be ready to depart as soon as those doors open. We don't want to leave our dates waiting too long on us!" He then went towards the door so he could be one of the first ones out. He needed to be strong in the upcoming battle. For his troops, for his wife, for himself. Too much was riding upon this battle and they couldn't afford to lose.

Stardust sat in a drop ship, in rocked with the atmospheric entrance, stardust stood holding onto the railing as she looked around at the people she had gathered, she closed her eyes a sshe felt another shake of the ship, this battle was going to be the worst she has seen yet

She opened the side of the drop ship and looked out among the forest so white and peaceful, in a matter of minutes it would be covered with body and the sound of guns going off, she looked back to her men then perked uo as she got word that alor raxis was having them land between the bastions to avoid fire from the arty

She nodded and confirmed as she picked her helmet up and looked into it, it was time to rally her squads she had under her command, she jumped into her squads channels since she had more drop ships for her group" alright men...you've all been briefed....I'm not gonna lie hell awaits us down there in the icy Plains, but you know what? We won't back down, your the God killers for a reason folks the reason I have chosen you is for your skill to go through he'll and come out with a smile" she said as the men usually not led by a force user gave a cheer to her rally" yang that what I wanna hear men load them weapons slap those helmets on and get ready to land let's show these sith and their men that we are going to kick some a s s and make them enjoy it" she said as they cheered as she slapped her helmet on, the back locked her lekku in as she watched her Hud come up as she checked her westars and looked to her arm cannon as she transformed it, this would be her gun along side her pistols"

She got confirmation they were about to land, she gave a confirmation and got to the door as she drew her Sabers and had them ready to activate, she took a breath in...then out, she slipped a message to gray that read" see you out there, good luck dear" with that she looked to her men, this battle was gonna be a battle not for them....but for the people of the galaxy....she was ready the yellow light went up...it was almostly time to go into hell once more

Junko looked out at the area and there was not much here on the world but she could work with that, taking a place near the Yovshin she had that served as her elite guards the jedi knight bunkered down and started to focus on the force and specifically the current when she was starting to reach out. Allow the sensations of what was around her to conceal her peoples if they could but she was not so sure about the walkers or the artillery cannon they had brought. That was meant to get up in a high position latched down and then they would defend it with anti-air vehicles so relying on her elite guards to be able to go through the snow and ice covered waters to try and take the citadel would be important. More so, the other beings she could feel and that they would have to contend with were all around them. "Focus." She said it while touching the saber on her hip and the smokestone to help her was there as was the guardian robes she could wear for now. Immersing and pushing to conceal the small group of warriors among the forces that had been brougth with them.

Draco stood in the troop compartment of the Ori'edee Shield walker, among his Kindred, the warriors that lived near him, that he ate dinner with some nights. They were effectively his extended family. Today, they weren't on a farm or hunting in the forests of Alderaan. Instead they were gathered, alongside a half dozen other kindred on some far away planet like they had been some hundred times it felt like. The warriors in the troop compartment shuffled around, armor clanking, furs rustling.

The tundra was like home, having lived in the Triple Horn Mountains of Alderaan for some time. If anything, this was easier marches than they had every day in the tall mountains. "Eight Kilometers from target." A voice called out over the internal communications system. Lots of riding out the storm for now. Beside them rolled tanks, infantry marched behind them. Out just ahead of the massive walker, gunships and groups of Basilisks traveled patiently, holding back from leaving the slow ground based warriors.

"Pull to the north of the facility. Keep the group tight and go." Draco said over the comms. He tugged on the Force and felt it draw into him, preparing him for the fight to come. For a commander, there was only wrong choices. No option he took would keep his men wholly alive, and no option he pushed for would be the best option until after the battle and hindsight could tell them whether he was right. Nonetheless, this wasn't something new to the war kindreds.

The Jarl shrugged and rolled his neck looking to Draco to ensure his Alor was steeled and ready for the fight. "You good boss?"

"Aye. Just getting ready. Its going to start slow you know." Draco laughed and stuck his palm on his hilt, feeling the buttspike shift around in his armored hand. For now, he was in the mobile command center, but once it came time for it, Draco would be leading the charge. Sklor the beast shaman was already muttering incantations and shifting his fingers. All of the shamans were, gathering their strength for how they planned to use it. "We will use these trees and hills as cover, along with the area shield of the walker "

The taciturn woman in anonymous Mandalorian armor went by Ori'vod. She'd led Ke'dem forces more than once over the years, Team Nadd knew her as a decent tactician, and she didn't expect any problems with getting her orders followed. For starters-

"Shoot them."

The forty Ke'dem Dark Jedi were riding in Vornskr APCs, four tough little vehicles. Ajira would be keeping pace with them on a simple swoop bike. The Vornskrs' turrets swiveled towards one hundred shackled, shivering prisoners in tattered One Sith uniforms. The turrets were double-barreled assemblies, half Ssi-Ruuvi particle beam and half caseless 13mm or some such. No point in using the former. Within seconds, the Sith prisoners were chum, a blood sacrifice, vaporized meat wafting across the tundra. Ajira, once Ashin Varanin, took a deep breath of life energy and confessed herself satisfied.

"With me."

She accelerated away from their landing site and the First Order forces; she had no interest in them. The four APCs tore across the tundra in her wake. Each one could match her swoop for speed, five hundred eighty klicks per hour. And speed was a serious asset right now: the facility had some serious artillery, by all accounts.

In fairly short order, she and the APCs decelerated by a patch of woods, thick enough to shield them from direct targeting by the two nearest artillery emplacements. Hopefully, anyway. One more sprint could get them to the trenches, but they couldn't do that too early, feth no. This was, for the moment, her wait-and-see position.

Voracion Citadel
Command Center

"General Ramic! They've arrived sir!" A lieutenant reported, saluting the man sitting in the central chair of the room. A wine glass lowered, the contents untouched. A black gloved hand each gripped the edges of his command chair, pulling himself into a proper seating position. Sharp and intelligent eyes glinted under a heavy brow, his beard neatly trimmed to regulations. His dark gray uniform crisp and to regulation. Vilim Ramic was a man who lived and breathed war, and when he had followed these Sith to this forgotten world, he had thought he might never see conflict again. To see the galaxy and all its force arrayed against him... a slow grin emerged.

"Let them come, gentlemen," he said simply, a holographic map of the region surrounding the Citadel appearing in front of him. "We shall show them that the Sith still have teeth. Death and blood will be all out enemy shall know today. Alert all forces and place them at full combat readiness."

"Yes sir!" a flurry of activity broke out around him as everyone in the command center began transmitting orders to all Sith ground forces to be on full alert. Leaning forward to gaze at the map and the forces immediately under his direct command, he envied those attacking them. They had time to bring about new technologies for war... and his forces had to rely on older equipment from the original One Sith expedition to the world. No matter, they would persevere.

"Enemy dropships coming in from the north east, bearing towards sector 16.07 and 17.08." They appeared on his layout, an unknown transport type heading towards them at top speed.

"Alert AA 2 and 3 to respond."

"Yes sir."

At points 18.06 and 19.07, the small outpost in the area received the message and two AT-AAs at each point swiveled their guns and the 150 infantry supporting them each rose to their feet and rushed to take up defensive positions among the stumpy and hilly snowy ground. The air above the their points roared with anti-air flak fire and concussion missiles towards the approaching enemy transports.

Elsewhere, every Sith soldier and walker and defense began to mobilize and prepare for glorious and bloody battle.

Lieutenant Tarriq stood with Major Sanjeet and the two of them looked onward as Firemane's forces began to roll out. "Here," Symara handed Lavali a bottle of Corellian Whiskey. "Something for after." She says softly, "something to look forward to." Patting the Major's satchel she secures her helmet. Sanjeet looks outward still, taking in the readings from her HUD. She turns for a moment looking around as the men and women of Firemane moved out into the field of battle.

"Ashira help us all," Lavali remarked as she looked down at her satchel, "something for after." She hops down from their deployment location and begins to lead the infantry on foot. Taking a breath she looks ahead and notes who has joined them for the battle, rather who they were joining. "Sgt. Halifax make let the Mandalorian's know we're here on behalf of our Alor, [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]. We're here to help."

Sgt. Halifax nodded and got on communications and began to make the necessary calls to let [member="Draco Vereen"] know. Firemane was here to assist the Mandalorians in anyway possible, and having now fielded their army they were moving to cover the Mandalorians. Symara walked along with the infantry. Thinking of her late family, thinking of Corellia and that if she should die on this day - she would be glad for it. She'd go out on her feet like a true Corellian. Looking around her set noted the soldiers the tanks, all dressed in Firemane's colors - colors that were dulled so that they might blend in. Looking ahead, she prepped her guns and made a silent prayer for all of them to make it out alive.

Clan Dem'adas Armored Marine Battalion
Faction: Mandalorian Clans > Clan Dem'adas
Quadrant: North West

Olivia sat with eyes closed as she listened to the world around her, helmet automatically cycling from one comm channel to another as she took stock of the Mando'ade under her command. The chair beneath her bumping and bucking as the dropship forced its way deeper into the planet's atmosphere. No matter what frequency her helmet shifted to, the cross-talk was minimal. On the whole, her people seemed excited more than afraid.

<Good.> Olivia thought to herself. She expected nothing less from Clan Dem'adas Marines.

"12 seconds to drop." Came the voice of the dropship's pilot, cutting through all comm channels on a priority override. The roar of an engine turning over echoed through the air outside her helmet and the vibrations of a machine come to life traveled through the floor and into her feet.

Olivia opened her eyes.

Beyond the transparent beskar alloy of her helmet, Olivia's eyes stared upon the screens afforded her by the commander's position of a Myrkava-C. From each display screen, information flowed to her. Crew and Vehicle status updates scrolled over one screen, several others showed video-streams from the helmet cam's of one Mando'ad or another, or from one of the many camera built into the Myrkava tanks themselves. On one display, Olivia saw the armored ramp of the dropship lower and the first row of Myrkava trundled forward into the blinding white of a snow-covered world.

Arctic conditions were a specialty of Olivia's, as were they an aspect for which all Dem'adas Marines trained to deal with. The conditions this Sith world threw at them would be nothing unfamiliar to the the Clan Dem'adas forces that made it onto the world.

Olivia's eyes turned to the Battalion status display.

Not all of her forces had made it to the surface of the Sith world. She had ordered sixteen Shaadlar troop transports to detach from the Clan Dem'adas Fleet as they approached the Sith Blockade, and she had left the fate of the naval battle in the hands of her brother. She had taken hundreds of vehicles and thousands of troops with her to the surface of this miserable little world... And arrived with only fifteen Myrkava, fifty medium tanks, and a miserable handful of supporting infantry.

<Thousands gone before we even set foot on the planet.> Olivia thought to herself as her screens showed her the cluster of dropships making the return trip to orbit. Not all of them belonged to Clan Dem'adas. A quick cycle through display screens showed her than an equally mauled assortment of Mandalorian warriors had found their way to the same drop-zone. <No matter.> Olivia thought to herself.

"Advance." She said simply, the order transmitted over the Battalion Command Frequency to each of her company commanders, who would in turn relay the order to the squad commanders, who would relay the orders to individual tank commanders, who would give the order to their drivers. It was slower than ordering each vehicle directly, but it afforded each company, squadron, and vehicle a certain amount of autonomy to make their own decisions on how to complete the specific tasks they were given. The Myrkava moved forward as the tip of a spearhead formation, the 50 Reliant Medium Tanks spread out in a V - formation behind the beskar-plated wedge that the Myrkava created.

A three-dimensional map of the battlefield slowly rendered on one of the display screens in front of her as she absently listened to the men and women under her command relay orders and observations back and forth. Though she was not consciously monitoring this chatter, she was subconsciously aware that her people were performing their duties as she expected of them. Consciously though, she monitored the rapidly updating battlefield image before her. <7.5km from the target.> Olivia thought to herself. The anti-air capabilities of the base must have been formidable if they had forced the remaining dropships to deploy so far away, and to do so with a grove of trees between the fort and the DZ.

Olivia would have ordered her sub-commanders to keep the grove of trees between them and the objective as they approached, but she could tell by their cross-talk that they had already decided that much for themselves. Her people were well trained. Of that, Olivia couldn't be prouder. But it did leave her with little to do and a frustrating sense of inaction. At first, Olivia had intended only to tap her restless fingers. But as she heard the woman at the comm's station begin to hum in tune with her tapping, Olivia recognized the song that her body has unconsciously summoned to life. With a faint smile on her lips, Olivia began to sing an ancient Mandalorian Battle-Song. One from the days when the ancient Galactic Republic threatened Manda'yaim herself. She sang it with a cruel smirk at the edge of her lips and a voice that was light and joyful at the thought of battle. She sang for her people, her clan, the Mando'ade of Aliit Dem'adas. But also she sang for the hundreds of Mando'ade of other clans that had made it to the surface of this frozen and bitter world. On all Mandalorian frequencies, the song of a Valkyrie rang out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On4upBA0rko

"Mando'ade, susulur gar yaim jor'chaajir gar!"
"Dush'shya kyr'am banar at gar!"
"At jurir! At jurir! At jurir bat Manda'yaim!"
"Haa'taylir! An te'naumiite cuyir nau'ur!"
"Joruur an aliite, cuyir jii solus!"
"At jurir! At jurir! At jurir par Mand'alor!"
"Te'nari te alii'gai Mando'ade! Oya Manda! Oya Manda!"
"Par Manda'yaim vi ara'novor, bal oyacyir ra ash'amur par Manda'yaim!"
"At jurir! At jurir! Bal shukalar naak par Manda'yaim!"
"At jurir! At jurir! Bal shukalar naak par Mand'alor!"

Olivia's voice rang out to her people. Where needed, sub-commanders quieted her voice to the external speakers as they continued to give needed orders to those under them. Here and there, Olivia was vaguely aware that many of the men and women of her Battalion had joined their voices with hers in singing the song 'To Arms for Mand'alor.'

As she continued her song and the tanks of Manda'yaim rolled forward, various crewmembers reported sighting the enemy. On the screens before Olivia, she saw eight massive Sith walkers trundle their way out of the grove of trees. At their feet, hundreds of Sith Clone Troopers scurried forth through to meet the Mandalorian assault. And off to her left, four more walkers trundled forward through the snow.

The smile at the corner of Olivia's mouth widened as she continued to sing. Her people knew what to do, they continued to give orders in spite of her, and her voice served to embolden her forces. So she sang...

"A, Susulur te Jetiise orare jorhaa'ir!"
"Jetiise alii'gaie o'r Mando'woore layari!"
"At jurir! At jurir! At jurir bat Manda'yaim!"
"Dinuir te aru'e gar dral'akanir!"
"Cetar'narir b'oritsur Jetiise!"
"At jurir! At jurir! At jurir bat Manda'yaim!"
"At jurir! At jurir! At jurir par Mand'alor!"
"Te'nari te alii'gai Mando'ade! Oya Manda! Oya Manda!"
"Par Manda'yaim vi ara'novor, bal oyacyir ra ash'amur par Manda'yaim!"
"At jurir! At jurir! Bal shukalar naak par Manda'yaim!"
"At jurir! At jurir! Bal shukalar naak par Mand'alor!"

The cause of her smile was not that they had found the enemy, nor was it that the enemy had rushed from their positions of cover to engage her forces, but that she instantly recognized the Sith Assault Walkers that stood defiantly against her. Whatever the Sith called them, Olivia had faced equal number at Empress Teta when the Mando'ade set out to strike down Ordo the Traitor. They were large, clunky contraptions with massive proton cannons as armament and reactive shields for protection. They were impressive machines and only a handful of them had all but halted the advance of her Canderous Hover-tank Company.

They were, ironically enough, the exact same make and model of Sith Warmachine that had inspired Olivia to commission Mandal Hypernautics to make and design the Myrkava in the first place. The armor plating was designed to withstand and deflect the Sith Vehicle's massive cannon, the weapons of the Myrkava were designed to cripple, bypass, and overwhelm the Sith Vehicle's reactive shielding, and the engine and tracks of the Myrkava were designed to keep her moving forward as she did so.

Olivia only continued to sing her battle-song as she typed a few simple instructions for her sub-commanders. She wanted Alpha Company to move forward at full speed, directly into the heart of the hostile forces and she wanted Alpha Company's weapons spreading their fire evenly over the hostile formation. Bravo Company would flank slightly to the south-west and come up beside the Sith forces while Charlie Company would flank north-east and come up on the far side. They'd still be keeping the grove of trees between themselves and the enemy base, but they would encircle the Sith forces against the grove of trees, running them over if they had to.

"Chaab nayc buruk, cuyir dar'shuk'yc!"
"Taylir laam tracy'uur, beviin, beskad!"
"At jurir! At jurir! At jurir bat Manda'yaim!"
"Baar tigaanur gebbar baa!r"
"Cuyir kotep,nakar'mir at buruk!"
"At jurir! At jurir! At jurir bat Manda'yaim!"
"Te'nari te alii'gai Mando'ade! Oya Manda! Oya Manda!"
"Par Manda'yaim vi ara'novor, bal oyacyir ra ash'amur par Manda'yaim!"
"At jurir! At jurir! Bal shukalar naak par Manda'yaim!"
"At jurir! At jurir! Bal shukalar naak par Mand'alor!"

Olivia continued to sing as cannon, autocannon, and anti-personnel weapons barked out against the Sith forces. From her own Battalion, Olivia estimated that her people had a single machinegun or heavy repeating blaster for every six Sith infantry that crawled upon the ground next to the Sith Walkers. And with the infantry and walkers clustered so tightly together, it was easy for the secondary crew of each vehicle to focus the anti-infantry weaponry upon their intended targets while the gunners of each vehicle focused the primary and coaxial weapons upon the towering walkers that made such easy targets.

Olivia was enjoying the sights afforded to her by her command vehicle. The hell her forces were unleashing upon the Sith abominations was... satisfying. Not to mention the weight of fire being unleashed by the Clan Vereen forces that lagged only a short distance behind her own.

All in all... she counted 51 Myrkava and 50 Reliant 10-8's.

Not to mention the scattered assortment of other tanks and vehicles that had clustered together due to the small deployment zone their collective dropships had been able to manage.

Olivia's expectations of the Sith diminished as her Armored Battalion continued its advance unslowed by the Sith forces. Likewise, Olivia's spirits continued to rise as her voice continued to sing out. To arms... To arms for Mand'alor.

"Bat gar b'aliit ast'ijaat, at draar pel bal draar trattok'or"
"At jurir! At jurir! At jurir bat Manda'yaim!"
"Vercopaanir , Oya Manda! Oya Manda!"
"Par Manda'yaim vi ara'novor, bal oyacyir ra ash'amur par Manda'yaim!"
"Be'chaaj, Be'chaaj, Be'chaaj ve taabir par Manda'yaim!"
"Be'chaaj, Be'chaaj, Be'chaaj ve taabir par Mand'alor!"

Gray stood in front of the door as he waited for them to land to begin the assault. He was not sure how his men would handle their engagements to come. He had trained them and made sure they focused on their cooperation with each other. Take cover. Don't shot at your allies. Don't stand in the fire. He had made sure to drill the basics into their heads, but no amount of training could prepare them for the real thing. Only experience could truly prepare them for what was to come and while they had fought on Doldur, that was a rebellion and not an all out battle between two roughly equal forces. It was a different kind of fight they were facing here, and they were as aware of it as he was. But he had faith in them just as they did in him. They just needed to push forward and take victory for themselves no matter what came.

Then the alarms went off and one of the pilots screamed over the ship's internal speakers, " Brace for impact! We are under fire!" A moment after the first of the missiles and flax hit the ship, rocking it. People shuffled with it to maintain their balance. The battle was here and they all knew it. Gray could feel the nervousness coming back among his troops. He yelled out, " Well looks like our date noticed us and is giving us a light show. How nice of them. Lets show them just how much we appreciate it!" A laugh rolled through some and others yelled out their own lines to go along with their alor's. They were ready and in the right mindset. Good. He got on his com and said over it to the pilot, " Keep low and make it as hard for them as possible. Keep us between those missiles and [member="Stardust Raxis"] ships. We can handle it, but she might not be able to. Land us next to whoever is attaching and we will handle it from there. Also inform the other ships of the plan." He got confirmation immediately as the pilots began to do as they were ordered to do.

Gray knew his ship could take being under fire for a bit. It was what this flying barricade was built to do after all. He figured they would be under heavy fire when dropping into the middle of the fightfire, so it was time to see if this thing could handle what it was said it could. He got on his com system and switched it over to the channel that his Lightning Company squadrons were on. He said over it, " We are going to land hot and heavy. As soon as those doors are open I need half of you on those walkers and the other half on the infantry supporting them. Squadron A head north and Squadron B head east. Flank them while Rancor Company distracts them. Drivers hook up your shields now and activate them as soon as you head out. Don't drop them until you are absolutely sure you are in no danger of anti-vehicle measures." He got confirmation and switched his channel over to Rancor Company.

Gray said as soon as he had the channel switched over, " Be ready for the doors to open. We will be under fire before you can even get out of this ship. Fighters and Gunners remember to keep your shields up. They only last 5 minutes so stagger out when you activate your shields with those around you. Medics hang back in the ship. Squads 1 through 5 head north to support Lightning squad A. Squads 6 through 10 head east to support Lightning squad B. Spread your formations and remember to focus down any anti-vehicle troops first. Both groups open up engagement by launching 6 thermals into their infantry ranks." He waited for confirmation from the squad captains then turned his channel over to all of his troops. He said over it, " Watch each other's backs everyone. Take out every hostile or they will kill you and everyone to your left and right. I am going to engage at close range to break their ranks, so don't worry about hitting me. I will handle protecting from their fire and yours. Now lets show them how terrible their life choices were!" As he finished his final speech, they began to cheer with excitement even as the ship rocked from the fire hitting it relentlessly. They had their orders and were ready to follow their alor into battle.

Gray secured his rifle onto his back and grabbed the hilt of his lightsaber Whisper. He began to draw the force into himself, strengthening his body to levels beyond those natural to humans. He was going to need to show his men they needed to be fearless got the get go. He felt the ship touch down and the sound of the doors' mechanisms beginning to move to allow the brave souls to fulfill their fate. This was the moment of truth for him, for his men. They were either going to gain momentum to use for their victory or be gunned down in defeat. He knew which option he wanted to happen, but it was soon going to be out of his control to grant it. The lights turned green and beeped load for all to hear as the doors quickly fell. Gray activated his shield and rushed out along with his troops. He rushed to the north towards the more protected area for the Sith forces. He was diving into the thickest of the battle. He watched as blaster bolt after bolt fly past him and hit his shield. He knew he could survive this much so didn't slow his charge. As he got close to the Sith troops he began to scream out, " FOR MANDALORE! FOR CLAN RAXIS! UUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He activated the long, dark blue blade of his saber and leap over a fallen tree high in the air. He came crashing down with his blade pointed down onto a troop as thermals from his men rained down in the ranks around him.

As Gray rushed forward to vanguard his forces, the speeders flew out of the dropship with their shields active. They hit the enemy even before their alor had as fast as the lightning they were named after. They opened up fire from their speeders' guns into the infantry on the Northwest flank of the Sith forces to the north of the landing and the infantry on the Southern flank to the east of landing. As they passed by, their gunners opened up fire with their miniguns sweeping through their ranks threatening to hit the middle of their formation. Half of each squadron split off as they spotted spotted their metallic prey getting close enough to launch energy missiles from their miniguns into their hard torsos. Those who were not part of the Great Walker Hunt went past the infantry ranks to turn around and begin a second round of fire into their flanks.

The Rancor Company squads charged out, if not able to keep up with either their alor or speeder brothers. Those in front had their shields up as they had been ordered to and screamed out as they staggered out the areas they launched their opening thermals at their enemies. Everyone opened up fire right away as shots fly all around their ranks. Two behind the front line group got too far forward out of position and took several hits from their enemies. They fell down, bleeding onto the snow. Medics immediately rushed to get them pulled back to the safety of the dropship as their brothers continued on their march, echoing the battle scream of their Alor. The battle skirmish had began and it was already a heavy firefire. It was time to set the tone of the Raxis Advance.

Stardust stood looking out as pieces of snow would hit her face, she was confident in her men that she had brought, the God killers she knew were trained by @ardgal raxis, a man who claimed to be a deity.....and these men were his creations, they had training just as good as she a veteran had..that's why she brought them...because they could keep up with her

She looked as she could see weapons warming up, her eyes were then proven correctly as flak busted nearby her drop ship, she shook back as a God killers grabbed her shoulder and kept her in" thanks soldier" she said as she closed the door on her ship and got on the comes to the 4 others ships, those of which were being piloted by fronds from her company, r9s" alright r9s I want a diamond formation around the two 'live' ships now move back and froth we gotta land behind raxis company " she said as the ships moved in a diamond formation and moved around, she was using these ships as shields, her ship had it took that last blast would of just destroyed her

She got word that gray had given the order for his ship to be between her and the flak" tell him much appreciated l, alright pilot let's get this game started!" She said as she got back to the r9s" two of you get on a crash path to those guns, makes sure you fly into the flak and lock your course, gonna have to give alor gray a breather or at least cause confusion to the enemy "she said as two ships broke off and headed straight for the guns, one took a hit to the wing causing it to spin for the aa gun in the hex 18.06, should it hit the gun it would more then likely destroy the gun and cause harm to those around it

The next one that was on a crash course was heading to 19.07, it took a concussion missiles to the front and cursed it to aim lower, rather then now heading directly for the gun it was heading quote fast towards its legs...if the ship hit it would cause it to more then likely disable the gun for a time unless they get cut off

Now only four remained, the two 'live' ships and the two dummy ships, stardust took a breath in, then a explosion happened and a dummy ship was hit again...it started careening towards hex 15.08 and crashing with a horrible crunch" alright fetch ok get that dummy ship beside it now it's time to land!" She said as the last remaining duty ship landed by its fallen partner, creating a wall of metal to protect those about to land

She checked her westars, loaded next she checked her arm, loaded now she looked to her belt made sure nova was on its place, Sabers were on one side westars in their holsters and she head a pack of energy cores to reload her arm

She felt the flak slowly silence as she looked to her troops, she got her arm transformed and smiled as she felt the ship land right behind the now blaster riddled ship, meanwhile the other live one landed behind the wreckage of the drop ship, the green light hit and the ship doors opened " THIS IS IT! CHARGE AND GET THOSE GUNS FIRING AT THE LINE! FOR MANDALORE! FOR CLAN RAXIS! URAAAAA!!!!!!" She screamed a shoe activated a Saber and started charging for the cover blocking shots that made to them, the God killers let a war cry out as they charged for cover

Blaster bolts flew around them the sound of thermals go8mg off in the distance. Gray had engaged it seemed, medics for the God killers hanged back until it was clear and moved up...the battle was in full swing....they had just dropped into hell" alright folks gotta soften up that line so when alor raxis comes we it'll be nice and soft to burst through!" She said and fired her arm, beside her a man went down hard yet got up, his armor was smoking yet he fired on

100 generic Quality E infantry rabble = 50 points
Total: 500 points

As soon as the four armored personnel carriers passed the south woods, three hundred Sith infantry entered their line of sight, more or less. By the time the ultrafast APCs and Ajira's speeder bike hunkered down by the more northerly clump of woods, those infantry were a klick, klick and a half away.

"Light them up."

The rooftop turrets opened fire with their 13mm caseless autocannons. Operated remotely by elite Dark Jedi gunners from inside the vehicles, the turrets laid withering fire across the nearest portion of the enemy position.

"All hands, stand ready for united shields by vehicle. Drivers, pulse at will."

The APCs each carried about a dozen Dark Jedi, all specialists in Force shields and well-trained in uniting their shielding efforts. Meanwhile, the Vornskr APCs mounted a pulsed deflector shield generator, capable of generating one second of very strong protection every five seconds, and under the manual control of the Dark Jedi drivers. Still behind the woods from the perspective of the two nearest artillery emplacements, the four APCs made a line facing the nearest enemy, and Ajira pulled up her speeder bike behind that line. The little formation oscillated back and forth by about fifty metres each way: north-south, north-south, with some apparent randomization thrown in. Each Vornskr was about twenty metres from its fellows.

"Firemane, representing Kerrigan in route." The mechanical voice of the tactical center blurted out. "Communication online with Sergeant Halifax."

"Excellent. Send Firemane my gratitude for me. Our infantry will be advancing into the forests and the hill tops in short order. We would appreciate some support on covering our southern flank." Draco said into the communicator. Battle strategy wasn't his strongest point, but he was pretty good at herding his people in the direction he wanted them to go. He just had to remember when to let them indulge themselves, and when to hold their leashes and keep them in line.

"Contacts. Clan Dem'adas responding." The voice in the tactical center of the Ori'edee echoed the scanners reports. Draco hadn't expected a force to come out and meet them on the open field, but they had. The warriors in the troop compartment looked up, unanimously at their Alor. Jarl Volgrim clutched his Voidsteel sword tightly and Draco could practically see the grin behind the beskar visor.

"Stay the course. Air Cavalry, Mobile infantry to deal with the flanking walkers. Air Support, Jump Infantry to support Clan Dem'adas. Command unit, continue our path, all vehicles are to maintain their troops within their hulls. We have places to be." An almost defeated sigh went up from the men around him, but they understood. Their goal was not some token strike force in the woods, but the citadel itself. And it would not be long before that fight began, and they would need their strength and ammunition before the day was done. "Its alright boys. We will get our fair share."

Sklor, the bestial shaman grunted. "So long as there is flesh to eat and trophies to take, we shamans will be sated." Behind his proclamation came a series of nods and growls in agreement from the other druids and shamans, and some light-hearted laughs from the other warriors. "There will be plenty before the day is done."

The walker continued its trudging pace forward, not slowing for the enemy, not even turning to acknowledge them in the slightest. The metal monstrosity stomped forward, its feet smashing into the tundra, kicking up snow and ice with each foot fall. The ground shuddered with its passing and its hydraulics creaked beneath its weight. Beneath it, and around it, Clan Vereen warriors began their assault on the infantry and armor just ahead of the woodline.

Young Bloods, teenagers of the clan rearing to earn their keep, were barely kept restrained and orderly by the Einherjar, kept from pulling Beskads just yet, and instead the groups advanced orderly in small teams of twenty, staggering their movement. They moved just behind the advancing Clan Dem'adas armor companies, strafing fire into the unentrenched enemy infantry and firing off grenade volleys from their launchers at clusters of infantry and at the attack walkers they were supported by. Some would kneel and activate their shields so their brothers behind them fired volleys into the enemy were protected from return fire, while the other half of warriors advanced, and then they would swap every one hundred meters or so. Draco could feel the young bloods frustration, but they would be unleashed soon enough.

Above them soared two flights of Cobra gunships, unleashing their torrents of laser and slugthrower fire into the enemy, each gunship rattling off a third of their small rockets wherever the enemy tried to mob up or defend emplacements, streaking tails of exhaust through the sky. Warriors on the doors howled triumphantly as they pressed the triggers on their doorguns, streaming heavy blaster fire into infantry like mad men. The dogs of Clan Vereen were loose, and they were intent on racking up trophies and earning their place in the Manda and within the Clan. Many of the gunners were young teens, given the easiest battlefield duties for now. Headstrong and impatient, strafing through the enemy with E-Web blasters pleased them greatly, salivating over the opportunity of combat.

The Myrkava companies traveling off to the north of the Ori'edee formed an assault wedge, firing off their main guns with thunderous booms and the crack of autocannon fire rippling through the air. The rolling tanks slowed during their volleys, focusing on lining up more accurate shots rather than pulsing straight for the enemy. Ahead of them, the Basilisk War Droids streaked above the ground, just above the Myrkava's fire lanes firing their own complement of heavy weaponry, urging to close in with them and allow their droids to pull the vehicles apart after the Myrkava had their way with them.

The War for Omega, a battle like no other the galaxy has seen since before the Dark Ages of the Gulag Plague, and Triam Akovin would be a part of it. Delving into battles of untold glory, just as her father had long ago... though she doubted he ever thought his precious daughter would ever join a battle larger than he ever knew. She was an Akovin, and the Akovin's prepared for war... and she had been preparing for a long time. She only hoped she hadn't been preparing for too long.

On the surface of the snow drifted landscape, Triam could see the battle above them wage as titanic hulks of metal poured malicious energy against one another, while a narrow passage directly to weak point in the Omega Weapon seemed appear. There was no cohesion to the movement... it was all chaos, and selfish mayhem. Here on the surface of this lost world, a new kind of Chaos was about to begin. Coming of her own accord, she brought only her partner, her personal droid, and a small company of combat droids, droid walkers, and maintenance drones. The only casualty she would suffer in this war would be her own, or that of her partner, possibly both.

She could not say the same for what she had witnessed of another company... the commander, appeared to be Mandalorian, and her prisoners former members of the One Sith. She then witnessed 100 of those men be mowed down before a feeling of dread set into Triam. There was more to this Mandalorian Ori'Vod than she knew. Triam had no qualms about killing anymore, especially those of the Sith... but what she had witnessed? That was different.

That, was a battle for another time. Omega loomed, and Triam's sole objective was to take this fortress at any cost. It was pivotal that she deactivate the shields which prevented the Omega from facing the collective might of all the mightiest fleets in the galaxy. That required her small company to pick her enemies carefully, focus on the Sith forces, squash them under her boot and make it the fortress before it was too late.

"Y'sure we're up for this Triam?" Crol H'hurut looked at the silent droids as the first sounds of battle in the distance several kilometers away

"No," Her reply was instant and with force, and it almost startled the dark forcer due to her latent sincerity. "But we're doing it anyway. Never stop for anything, especially when you're certain you'll die." That was reassuring, luckily morale wouldn't be a problem for her.

"Glad to see yer confidence kid, why don't I just stab myself in the gut right now? Save the rest of 'em the effort..." Although it didn't sound it, it was sarcasm. Triam knew this but also understand that this was not going to be an easy task for them... and the consequences for failure were dire, as well as they were likely to occur.

"Let's get moving!" Walker feet pounded into the ground, as a march of droids in unison followed in behind her. TA4's surrounded her party of three, TA2's creating a wall in front of them, and TA1's taking the front while Light Walkers towered next to them. The Heavier Walkers were tasked with guarding the rear of the formation, all walkers holding back to keep pace with the infantry. Wouldn't want them to get ahead of themselves now would we?

Sgt. Halifax received the information, "Lieutenant Tarriq, Mandalorians requesting support on their southern flank." The young man adjusted his glasses and awaited the Lieutenant's response just as he looked over his shoulder hearing as the artillery commanders were giving their orders. Both Tarriq and Halifax looked the other way, as the artillery commander gave her orders. All anyone could hear after that was the deafening noise of the Manticore and Thunderer tanks shooting. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. Or at least that's all Halifax heard and then looked over toward the Lieutenant still waiting for an answer.

"Major Sanjeet," Lieutenant Tarriq called, "south?"

Sanjeet nodded and Tarriq looked at Halifax, "south - we're heading south, we'll cover the Mandalorians with our armor and give them time to maneuver. Inform them that Ashira sends her regards to the Sith." Symara added with a cheeky smile as if the Mandalorians wouldn't already be aware of it when their shells landed. Major Sanjeet whistled, "Pride move out, we're heading south, Might fall in behind, let's get our armor pushed ahead as well."

"Major, we should leave a unit behind..."

"The Manticores and Thunderer commanders know what to do if worse comes to worse," Major Sanjeet remarked, "still, we'll have them relocate soon enough." The Major looked to her heavy ordnance platoons, she had two of them. "Halo stay behind with the artillery, keep watch - we'll radio when you need to move."

"Copy that Major," Sgt. Elliot Leigh acknowledged and looked behind him, "halo platoon defensive positions."

After that there wasn't much else to say, Major Sanjeet gave the order to move south and they rolled to the south, with armor leading the way. Symara looked up to see the towering Valora-class Walkers moving in such a way that suddenly, Symara felt so insignificant. The Corellian took a deep breath and exhaled as she followed after Major Sanjeet and the infantry who moved behind the heavy ordnance platoon known as Kerrigan's Pride. She wondered if they could've brought Sgt. Matthieus, but then who would hold Corellia? Shifting her lips to the side, she looked at the dirt that kicked up into the air with a mix of slush and snow. Funny, here they were representing Firemane in a frozen patch of nothingness fighting Sith - Sith who by their very name and nature were enemies to Firemane. Not that Symara could disagree, given how she had seen and dealt with them personally, pushing those thoughts out of her mind she looked up over head to hear the cacophony of carnage from the Mandalorians and Firemane onto the Sith.

Junko looked at what forces she had and was not sensing anything out there in the distance. They could see the citadel but there were kilometers and kilometers of nothing that could come at them. Remaining at the ready though while she had her infantry move up a little, they didn't have much but they did have weapons from the multipurpose weapons to the dar'yaim cannon that had been improved upon and now she would have to do what her people did best. "Start scouting the area, any visual sightings of enemy forces range them and engage if you can with the cannons. They had all of the work going into it, the heavy artillery cannon was on the move. Repulsors ready and humming before their troop transports were moving a little.

The soldiers inside of it prepared to get to the citadel after they got into range and would be able to attack. Junko turned her head to look back towards the walkers and the most important with the artillery cannon that they could move around quicker and easier. With the walkers around her she would be able to at least have some heavy support for their ground troops if all went well. She was having the longest range for their artillery fire off while moving the troopers around while she was focusing on them. They were working to scout and give her a better lay of the land as it were while they waited for the rest of the troops who had arrived with them to get moving. They had the numbers after all this was just more of a strike force.

Vilic scowled as he watched a veritable wave of Mandalorian armor slam into his northwest position, green symbols designating the enemy forces there while his own were highlighted in red. All reports flowing from the engagement zone indicated that the enemy had superior mechanized forces. Damn those blasted One Sith and not developing better ground technology for him to use or not having full data on these tanks that were currently engaging them. They hadn't time to prepare new ground tech, not with all resources going into the fleet and the Omega.

"They have more armor than we expected," he growled, his black gloved hand gripping the arm chair tightly. "Order a general fighting retreat back to the trench lines. Anyone who breaks ranks will be taken to Darth Molior to answer for their cowardliness. Have our forces in sectors 16 and 17 pin those enemy forces down and squeeze them. Deploy the artillery and prepare to bombard soon."

"Yes sir!"

Vilic could only watch as his forces began their retreat back to their fortified lines. They would only do so much against those tanks, but the artillery and turrets around the bastions and the Citadel itself would put up a strong defense. Yes, this initial lightning strike by the Mandalorians had been unexpected, but they would adapt as best they could.

Northwest engagement

[member="Draco Vereen"] [member="Olivia Dem'adas"] [member="Symara Tarriq"]

The Sith forces had been taken aback by the ferocity of the enemy forces that crashed into their positions. Men died all around, not clones though... the Castameer Sith would not lower themselves to use such forces when they had plenty of loyal troops, carefully indoctrinated to serve their Sith overlords and their officers. Fanatics they would be called anywhere else. They died by the dozens, men sprawled out in the snow and hard ground, blood and burns pockmarking the earth around them. The walkers lumbered, bringing all of their impressive firepower to bear but even they couldn't stand against the barrage. One exploded in a burst of flame and death, crumpling to its knees. Another was damaged, two of its repeating cannons blow away, its armor dented and holed in several places.

Still, as the orders to fall back to the trenches came in, they gave as good as they took. Rockets fired from the men holding the PLX launchers, and if one man fell, another would pick up the launcher to try and slow down those behemoths of Mandalorian engineering. Blaster bolts whizzed through the air, aiming for anyone that might reveal themselves even as the infantry fell back. The remaining operational walkers engaged at the northwest engagement would act as a buffer, firing all of their weapons at the enemy. It would be a slow retreat back, and many would die but hopefully they would take as many of the enemy with them as they could.

Southeastern Engagement

The Sith soldiers were accosted, several dying in the first salvo from the enemy APCs that attacked them with lethal efficiency. However they, like those in the northwestern engagement had orders to fall back to the trench lines in a fighting retreat. They would rely heavily on their rockets, and the commanding officer of the engaged company gave the order for the men carrying the rockets to stagger their fire. Blaster bolts were ricocheting off the shields of those land vehicles, but he had noticed a slight refresh rate that had let a few blaster bolts scorch the paint on the APCs.

"Fire at intervals. 10 men fire while the other reload," he ordered. The PLX launchers would flare in sequence, ten rockets firing in staggered rate to try and pierce through any of the APCs shields at the refresh rate and then they would reload while the others fell back a few steps to reload. Some fell, but the launchers had to be picked up and fired so more men would fill in the gap. All the while, they continued their staggered retreat back, not knowing they faced Force Users that might not be threatened by their rockets.

Northeastern Engagement

[member="Stardust Raxis"] [member="Gray Raxis"]

The enemy had managed to get through and land, but not without taking some casualties to their air units. Unfortunately, trying to crash into an AT-AA was rather harder to do than one would think... simply because they could move rather fast. More of the supporting infantry from the AT-AA divisions came flooding to attack the enemy from behind, even as in the main trench lines, five of the AA gunboats lifted into the air and deployed to protect that section of the line if needed.

Men died, but they outnumbered these enemy forces and the AT-AWs deployed in the area began to open fire with all of their weaponry upon the enemy forces deployed, aiming to take dozens of them.

Objective: Land? Move? Run? Halp!

Enemies: All Mah Friends. [member="Vilim Ramic"] just cuz I forgot to do it the first time

The First Order had landed.

Their positions were secure, the only thing that was out of place were the unknowns that had sped off in what had been identified as APCs. They hadn't concerned themselves with the White Wolves Regiment, and the White Wolves Regiment didn't bother with them. Instead, they had begun to form up, moving into unit ranks and spreading into an assortment of different formations as they broke off from their positions.

Aurek Company had been the first ones on the ground. From his position atop the walker, the Sith High Colonel was tempted to join them, but he had command of another. Trill Company. One that he had yet to know. Zerek Platoon had made themselves known on this day. Together, on Zarnathea they had slayed many. That day, he had made mistakes, especially in the case of not bearing armour. This day, he amended that mistake.

Aurek was the first line. They were heading straight for the first unit of enemy infantry, right after [member="Ajira Cardei"] and her APCs, but even A'sharad could see that it would take time for the infantry to get there, however, their vehicles could make good time. Their bombers were heading in quick. Four pilots, four ships, torpedoes already targeting the largest concentrations of infantry on the ground, and firing.

Zerek Platoon was the next unit moving on ahead.

Their orders were to drive for the Citadel, to clear a path for the Command Line, and thus, A'sharad. The gunboats that accompanied the platoon, remained overhead the platoon.

The scouts came after, though they went in a different direction, specifically off to the left, around the trees. Perhaps they'd find a path that was devoid of enemy Sith so that they may assault the Citadel directly.

And then it was Trill Company.

"Move out," he ordered in his cold voice. The infantry that was set to march through the cold had suits that adjusted their bodies to the temperature. It wasn't perfect, but it'd have to do, of course. And they started. He doubted he'd see battle until he got to the Citadel, if they weren't ambushed. Comms silent, there was slight amusement in the way the paleness of the stormtrooper's armour matched the terrain.

But other than that?

He merely wished to kill.

As the Sith Forces withdrew into the woods, the howls of the Mandalorians echoed into the skies, mourning for their dead, warning the Manda of their valorous fallen on their way and their enemies of their eminent revenge for their loss. Einherjar and other older warriors snarled and growled echoes of their roars could be heard over the gunfire, "BURN THEM DOWN!"

Draco smiled from the Ori'edee walker. "They have a point vod. Let's go." The walker's doors slid open and the tide of Mandalorian Infantry disembarked like a storm, Draco and Jarl Volgrim in the lead, the warriors of the Kindred howling bloodcurdling cries into the crisp winter air as they charged out amidst a flurry of Ripper bolts and grenades. Einherjar rallied up the rabid warriors and young bloods, shouting orders and establishing dominance to keep them in line and in order. With them another kindred fell in line, forming groups of forty or so to lay on their assault against the enemy vanguard that had come out to meet them.

The Shamans of the warrior clan, directed by Sklor began their own cantor of chants and unintelligible muttering, rattling staffs and bones, waving their fingers. The Force flowed into them and Draco could feel their anger seeping into the ground, searching out for their allies in the battle, on the planet. They were few in number, but they were a strong sort, known for being loners. In battle they often acted as a choir aiding the whole kindred just a little, providing them with bursts of stamina or courage where it was needed. But not this time.

Warriors formed staggered groups of forty, with warriors in the front kneeling and advancing slowly with shields active offering protection to those behind them. Some fired accurate, placed shots into the enemy infantry, other used their launchers to lob incendiary grenades into the trees, often followed by fragmentation grenades. Trees were set ablaze, burning and crackling, covering the enemy in a thick layer of smoke and fire. The smoke was of little consequence given so many enemies with the area, the veterans of Clan Vereen having little trouble picking out targets.

The Ori'edee stomped forward, and then, it stopped, settling into the snow and ice, its joints relaxing somewhat. Its shield reactor buzzed and whined and pulsed the gungan area style shields outward, first one hundred meters, then another. Then another. Then another hundred meters fell behind the powerful energy shield. The grenades Clan Vereen was firing launched through unimpeded, wicked grins from the warriors behind it formed as the enemy projectiles battered the shield. Draco roared across the battlefield. "BURN THE WHOLE FOREST! TRACYN BAL KYR'AM!" His people roar in response shook the skies, rattling snow off the trees. Cobra gunships, still strafing the enemy acknowledge the order and fired a spread of napalm rockets aimed for the middle of the occupied forests to set the trees ablaze in mass, in an effort to force the Sith troopers to turn and engage them or be fired upon unrelenting trying to escape through a burning forest. Mandalorians outside the shield laid down suppressing fire from prone positions all across the wood line.

Sklor and his shamans chant formed into a cresendo following Draco's proclamation, screaming out incantations of old and driving their hands into the snow. Inside the forests, small patches of trees came alive, shuddering slowly at first, burning and crackling with fire and smoke as the Force flowed from the shamans into their roots. The shuddering became attempts to lash out and beat the Sith Troops hiding among them with their burning branches, as though alive and angered with the Sith for bringing them their fiery fate. Some trees snapped and fell as their trunks twisted and branches coiled, overburdened by their own weight in the fire, only for new trees to come alive just as they had.

Draco felt the rush of battle coursing through his veins. Though not a shaman like his people, he was connected to the Force. It fueled him, drove him in battle stronger and longer than a normal man. The deaths he felt resounded with him, and in his heart, where there could have been remorse, instead their was hellish hatred for the Sith. All he wanted was to relax, to have his peace with his children, and they prevented him from that. They built a weapon of immense power that endangered his family, his people.

To the north of the assault, in the snow, Myrkava companies tracked slowly, stopping to line up better shots at the now retreating AT-AW walkers out in the open snow to the north of the citadel. It appeared as though their shields had protected from the first volley, and so the second would be as unrelenting as the first. Big guns pounded slugs out, reverberating through the air, vapor cones forming on the rounds as they pierced the veil towards the walkers in the snow. Autocannon slugs barked out in rapid succession, streaming towards the big walkers attempting to escape, or attempting to repositioning to fight easier foe. Basilisks harried their retreat, using pulse wave cannons and mass drivers at close range to fire at their turret and joints, like very large, angry beskar wasps against a spider. The warriors riding them growled and hissed at the walkers as they darted around above them.
