The Saqqar Is That? [Black Sun Dominion of Saqqar]

Listening to all that would be spoken. Watching more then anything couldn't help it but having her reason of to why to have someone else. Being no weapons master, then again if it was her. Wouldn't have sent the others down first, after all those wasn't as important. Flashing upwards to see that boss man himself go himself. Maybe could learn a thing or two from that one. One thing was first to get off this ice ball, with all her parts still attacked. Taking a few deep breaths of hers.

Bring her own thoughts to a stop, before looking at [member="Ordan Vosk"] if only he could see her eyes behind her goggle. That would waited as to the reason as saw first one then the other getting ropes ready. Watching to the fact it would be her turn soon then she like to go down in that dark deep hold of blackness. Big girl panties on cheek, goggles on cheek.", after which she switch on the nigh vision. As jump up onto the edge to look down still didn't see the bottom. It was like jumping into someone bed with out having a clue. Wait up next morning with that what the heck did I do last night from some bad drinking.

Slowly working her work down feeling the smoothness of the wall with her boots. Reaching the bottom only to get the shadow image of the others already down. Stopping cold, as it was her other sense that had been heighten started to sniff the air. What she got was bad body odor. Some one could use a bath, wwww....wait..you smell that...its strange..mixer of decay and ...

Stopping herself as she reach for her weapon just something told her something wasn't right or was this her being jumpy. Moving up to the Cypher and Ordan before speaking. You to love birds done, lets move our nerf bacon out..

So far things were going her way -- well one way or another, she'd muse to herself with a chuckle. All in all, it was quite an entertaining venue. Perhaps she should invest some funds in the area -- perk it up some, bring in new vendors.

There were credit signs everywhere and Danger was quick to invest on small deals that would lead to micro-transactions of profit.

The large ship sat in orbit of the beautiful resort world as The large Hutt moved to the bridge flanked by his Devorian Majordomo.

"Any word from the Suns?" Gordosa asked.

"No most glorious Gordosa. They said the would be hear by now." The Majordomo replied.

"Most displeasing." Gordosa rumbled as he closed his eyes and tried to focus on the force.

It was a fact he had been born force sensitive and somehow in later years lost his ability to sense the force.

"What are you doing Master?" The Devorian asked.

"Sensing them in the force." Gordosa said calmly.

"Master? Maybe we should just try the comm?" The Majordomo said.

Gordosa opened an eye and sighed as disappointment from another failure to use the force set in.

"Drak." Gordosa said looking out the viewport. "Isn't Saqqar frozen?"

"Um perhaps they melted it?" Drak replied

"I think we're in the wrong place." Gordosa said after a moment of silence.

"I think you're right, Master." Drak replied.

"Jettison the navigator and get a new one." Gordosa rumbled, "even a droid is enough. Just get us to Saqqar."

Rayl fumbled around his clothing for a flashlight. He knew he packed that stupid thing in here. A few seconds in the darkness felt a lot longer than normal. The only light from above shone down little light to their stepping grounds. By the time he'd found the stupid object, Ordan and a lady named Ariella had descended down behind him. The woman noted on the pungent air. Musty for sure. But there may be that sickly sweet smell just hinting at a deep breath. "You think something may be living in here"? Rayl turned on the light and waved it around to see what he could see. Which wasn't much of anything. The wall behind them, a good look at the floor which was of the same material. And many dozens of meters away there was another wall. To the left and right it seemed it just curved around like a ring.

...after dropping his glow sticks to add a bit of light at the bottom of the darkness they were descending into Ordan continued to rappel down behind Rayl while the woman, Ariella, continued to follow behind the two of them. Pushing himself off the wall he was rappelling down Ordan would have propelled himself outwards a short ways before the natural recoil of his rope drew him back in towards the wall. This would continue until he reached the ground a short time after Rayl and put his feet down, checking to make sure the surface was solid in the process, before moving on to aid in the exploration of the structure. Unhooking himself from his rope he'd have ventured into the dark lead only by the illumination from Rayl's flashlight at first...

...it didn't take long for Ordan to retrieve a few more glow stick, snap them, and then begin to toss them onto the floor to light his way while keeping one to use as an alternative light source. It was dim but it was better than nothing.
"Living here?"...Ordan seemed to question the very notion before he started to notice the pungent smell of the air as well, it hadn't been bothering him until he had to actively consider it and Rayl's question seemed to cause the minds imagination to amp up...

...he looked ahead, saw that the flashlight reached across the entire room and that it reflected the same wall that was behind the both of them, and would finally shrug...
"You know I could be wrong but I don't think anything lives here."...he had started to mean Saqqar and not just this structure. It was an icy world that seemed to sit on the fringe of death. Regardless they still had a job to do here. Reaching back Ordan would have taken the LMG he'd been shouldering, his left arm supporting under the barrel while the butt of the gun hugged against his right hip, then he would look over at Rayl and ask..."Where to now?"...

...if anything was down here Ordan was ready to fill it with as many slugs as possible and besides that he did have a few other tricks in his pocket. No doubt Ariella and Rayl would prove equally as formidable. Ordan wasn't particularly schooled in the force but thus far he wasn't sensing anything either. He could only hope it remained that way seeing as how he liked his targets to be roughly humanoid in size and something told him nothing like that would live down here...

Finding herself once again asked the question of where to go now. How she would could know where to go? Looking at Rayl first only to see for another Looking at there flash lights in their hand. It wasn't as if she couldn't lend but she need to come again. Giving another look towards Ordan, "Sure let the one that can't see worth poodoo."

Finding herself slipping her fingers out to the smooth cold surface. Until she ran into something that could only be a hand maybe a way to get out. looking back at the others that seem to be in there own search. Hey over here, some kind of lever.

Not even waiting she started to try to push then pull. As it had been some time since this thing had been moved. Could it be moved then maybe it could have something be in this. If only they had more advance instruments.

Rayl lowered his light, no meaning to blind anyone while they waited for more people to come down. "We'd better pray on it that nothing lives here Ordan. I'd hate to run in what could survive in a place like this". Rayl took a look up to see a black figure leaning over the edge of their entry way. The fourth of the few. Ariella called out about some like of lever she found. Something of note they could begin on. Not just cold and stone. "First of our discoveries. Dead race knew more than masonry, promising. Is it attached to anything Ariella"? Rayl began to make his way over to her. He wanted to see this thing before the idea got into her head to flip it.

Flora was with the alpha team, the reason was simple. She had grown up ships, and could figure out how most them worked. When repairing a vessel, that was half the battle. Actually knowing how they where meant to work in the first place, the rest was down to playing with them, and just luck.

She listened to the woman in charge, it seemed they need to get to deck three, this is where engineering was located. Their they may be able to get power back on line. Then she made a joke about not turning the gravity back on till she said so, it was not that funny but it made her smile anyway. She just wanted the rum, after this mission was over. That and her pay, she was promised a nice stash credits, for efforts in this mission. She was saving up for her own pirate vessel, she wanted to call it the black pearl. Making friends with ship builders, made that dream come closer.

..."Agreed."...was the gruff response Ordan would have grunted out after Rayl had mentioned praying that they didn't meet anything that lived down here. Thus far Saqqar was a relatively barren planet that didn't hold a lot of appeal to the man; he half questioned why the Black Suns would want it to begin with however territory was territory. It wouldn't be lnog before Ordan heard Ariella mention that she'd disovered a lever and turning his head in her direction his curiosity seemed aroused though he'd allow Rayl to make his way over while he maintained a perimeter as it were...

...surrounded by stone walls it wasn't much of a perimeter to be sure but Ordan wanted to make sure they were alone after Rayl had mentioned his last bit. His mind might have started playing tricks on him just a little bit as well. Eventually, when Ordan was satisfied he'd have turned to look over in the direction that Rayl had moved so that he could attempt to make out the lever that Ariella had discovered. At first glance Ordan didn't seem as thrilled about it as Rayl and he'd have said...
"Careful now. Don't want the floor to open up on us or something."...however if that lever did do something it could pay to turn this into a real excavation site where more about the civilization that had built these structures could be discovered...

...Ordan waited and then turned to move over by the lever with the others....

Was it attached to anything. What did he think he was the one in charge of this part of them on going. Yeppers that what it was with out a doubt.[member="Rayl Wilded"] "Oh I don't know it looks like its attacked to a gear or two in the wall itself.

Before she could take a better look before she touch it or even tried to get it to move [member="Ordan Vosk"] shaking her head what was she suppose to do talk to it like a pet to see if it going to bite if moved. Never mind she giving a look towards Ordan with her goggles eyes. Well, then better hold on to something beside your pants...I"m not an option.

Started to try and pull down on it not even giving a inch. As she strain on the handle. If your done with your looking could use a hand or two here ...just aybe we can get this ting broken loose from its long inactivity.

[member="Ordan Vosk"] [member="Ariella"]

Ariella couldn't get the lever to pull, no matter how hard she tried. They needed a stronger person to do so. "I highly doubt the floor will open on us. Not under us. Solid stone, and if it hasn't seized up in the thousands of years since it was made too. So I'm gona go ahead and order your Ordan to flip that switch and see what it does"!. Rayl had his flashlight pointed to the man. He probably couldn't se his serious face through all the light shining at him. but and order was given and he was going to follow it.

...he'd been on his way towards the others when Ariella had attempted to pull the lever however seeing that she couldn't budge it he was almost ready to let the matter close when he heard Rayl's voice and what it had entailed. Turning his head while Rayl let his flashlight shine in the mans face Ordan couldn't make out the expression nor how serious it was however Rayl's voice had carried an element of promptness not matched by Ordan himself. Looking towards Rayl, still able to make out the silhouette of the man with the flashlight in his face and causing him to squint a bit he'd have replied coolly..."Alright Rayl. No need for you to pull rank."...a bit of a smirk would be seen settling over Ordan's features before he moved closer and reached for the lever...

...immediately after his fingers curled around the lever and his hand tightened Ordan would have noticed how stiff it was but tensing his muscles he would have slowly started to give a good pull. Nothing happened, he might have gotten it to budge just a bit but he couldn't move the thing completely causing him to insist...
"One moment."...before he set down some of his effects like the LMG he'd been carrying enabling him to take a sturdy grip of the lever and put more of his power into it...

...this time Ordan would have locked both hands around the lever and began to heave causing his forearms to visibly tighten while a breath of air made his chest lift as well. While Ordan was naturally strong which was obvious thanks to his relatively large physique he was going to need something a little extra to ensure his success here. As he pulled on the lever Ordan would have begun to channel the force throughout his limbs, he strained momentarily however like a surge of adrenaline an increase of strength started to flood his limbs making him physically stronger than he was moments before. It was difficult to say how much he'd augmented himself but it was clear that the force had imbued Ordan with a strength he hadn't possessed on his own...

...the lever had been stiff, unused for centuries likely however under Ordan's guidance it should have eventually been flipped ensuring whatever was going to happen would have happened then. Immediately following that Ordan would have stepped back and went for the LMG he'd set aside because while the floor might not open up underneath them there was no telling what exactly that lever would have activated down here in the dark...

Even as it begin to move if anything very slowly. Getting that feeling one gets before something bad takes place. "I mmmm I am guess I get this feel we...may...." As she felt the bottom beneath her stone give way to finding herself going downwards. As she hear other stones be taken away upwards as if some kind of music stones. That playing their own song of giving away.

This was going to hurt some how. After such time she felt something else give way then heard upwards start to catch up to her. Then came the only other thing that could be. Felt her bum hit hard on the ground then to a stop. then feeling that she some how made herself the bottom of a dog pile. Feeling that her goggles got knocked off some where across the room if this was even a room.

I know we are all nice and cozy but could you get your foot out of my ribs and off my face who every it may be."

Never had he been more wrong in his life. Sucked down into some abyss he believed to not exist. How could it? The floor was solid stone! This defied logic, through intriguing; he hadn't the time to think on the method. Focusing on the pain of the impact below. They must of gone down a good ten feet, maybe more. It didn't feel so long a fall to Rayl, but things were hard to judge. "Sorry, my foot". Rayl started to untangle himself from the pile they unfortunately formed. By all the bad luck in the galaxy of course they happened to manage to lan atop one another. And they were back to darkness, no light from above. He couldn't even tell if the trap was still open. "We need light, break out your flash lights. I uhh, lost it in the fall".

...he'd wanted to collect his LMG after he'd pulled the lever hard but Ordan wouldn't be able to get that far as the floor opened wide beneath the three of them causing the man have a caught in the headlights moment before he fell into the abyss. It was dark wherever they fell. No light at all as far as Ordan could tell. He didn't have much of an opportunity to look for anything as he tumbled head over heels down into the darkness though before landing hard..."Oooommmpppffff!"...though it felt as though there was something soft underneath of him and something else a bit harder on top of him. Maybe he'd been sandwiched in the middle of Ariella and Rayl? Lets hope...

...
"Watch it!"...was grumbled out as a foot scraped across his shoulder before he started pushing up onto his feet. Grabbing with his hands as he went he'd try to find something to hold onto. A wall, an arm, a chest, anything would have sufficed. When he was back on his feet he'd have heard Rayl's call for them all to take out their flashlights causing Ordan to mutter something incomprehensible seeing as how he didn't actually bring one with him. Poor planning on his part but according to Rayl the floor wasn't supposed to open up beneath their feet either which it did....

...sliding his hands over himself Ordan realized he'd lost his LMG either in the fall or back up on the main floor when the floor had opened underneath them. One thing he hadn't lost was the glow sticks that he'd been carrying though. He had several more of them. Taking three of the glow sticks off his person he'd hold them in his hands and crack them audibly before the liquid inside began to glow and shed some light for the three of them. Once the sticks were activated Ordan would toss them out in an attempt to gain a lay of the land as it were. Low light was more helpful than no light...

...true to form Ordan would have also glanced over towards Rayl before saying...
"Doubt the floor will open up huh?"...a short chuckle followed..."Remind me never to trust your intuition again Rayl."...if Ariella hadn't picked herself up by then Ordan would have extended a hand to her and offered..."Let me help you."...before pulling her back onto her feet if she accepted his assistance. All three of them were in this together so with any luck they would be able to find their way out and maybe discover something beneficial on the way...

It seem that her head had a few good knocks on the way downwards to what every they where now. Just great she told herself had to go find a lever that just had to be pulled. More mad at herself then anything. Holding her own at the bottom of the pile on. To find that more then just her ribs was being pushed on.

It seem to wait forever in a day for something to start moving so she could at less start to catch her own breath. Then came the hearing of cracking of something then the light glow from the hand of what seem to be the shape of Ordan. All was fuzzy still but many because unlike most people that would have some what of a great idea where they was all she saw was shapes and shadows. It came to be that she feeling around for what could be around her. To find a foot before hearing looking up to find a head. "Sure tha..n..k" , even after word hold lightly onto some one arm as she let out a little cry something had stuck in her foot. "Gentlemen this no a good time to tell that I think I might have step on something sharp and pointy." , using the arm to balance as she reach down to where her foot had been only to find that it was something more. Trying to making out but to her it seem she saw nothing but darkness. How she dislike in a time like this to be dark blinded.

Seemed no one had a flashlight but him. Ordan did have some glow sticks though. Not that they gave them enough light to see anything but a few inches from them. And his snide commends didn't help. "Guess that's fair. But I'll redeem myself eventually for you to believe in it again" Rubbing his backside as he stated. Looking at the sticks for the general idea of the rooms shape determined it was quite small. Maybe twelve feet by eight, but it just just a judgement literally in the dark. Ariella piped up and turned their already poor situation to a deadly one. Spikes, the room was tilled with frickin' spikes. What medieval torture horror show was this dead civilization. Rayl might officially repeal the notion of any civilization living on this world in the past and declare them to be primitive barbarians. "This is a trap room. It will crush us and impale to make sure the job is done. Least I bet". Rayl tried to keep his cool. Dying wasn't something he was ready for. "Shout for help. The others should be down by now". Cupping his hands around his mouth he shouted for the rest of the exploration team to come to their rescue. How much time they had left was unknown.

...a trap room? Well that's just great. After Ariella had cried out and Rayl stated the obvious Ordan couldn't help himself..."More good news."...the comment was snide as could be expected before he turned his head upwards, squinting his eyes in the process and tried to see the ceiling where they'd fallen down into this deathtrap. Nothing though because there wasn't much light to speak of down here. When Rayl mentioned that they should yell for help Ordan wasn't convinced but he didn't have much choice which lead to him doing exactly that..."HELP!"...he belted out...."WE'RE DOWN HERE!"...but he wasn't so sure anyone was coming or that they would even be heard leading him to look for something, anything, that might have offered a separate solution...

...turning his head the only illumination the room had was the dim light provided by the glow sticks and sliding his feet further apart he'd feel them brush up against one of the spikes rising out of the floor. While he didn't visibly panic outright Ordan was starting to sweat a few bullets as the expression went and moving slowly he'd try to make his way towards one of the walls. Extending his hands as he went he'd feel for spikes that were extending so that he didn't drive himself onto one of them...

...
"Maybe there's another lever down here?"...he offered the suggestion as though he were hopeful this was the case though his search was hampered by the fact as far as he could tell the wall was filled with spikes threatening to gut him if he ventured to close. Bringing his hands to his mouth he'd bellow out again..."DOWN HERE!"...before looking over towards Ariella and asking..."Ideas?"...hell at this point Ordan would be willing to try causing an explosion if any of them had munitions and it meant they weren't going to die in this pit...
[member="Rayl Wilded"] [member="Ariella"]

Finding herself in more of a panic then the others or to her it would seem this way. All because she found that damn lever could help herself. Lets see what it does next time she find something old she no way going to pull it for sure or have a muscle to help her to get it to move.

Hearing Ordan voice near her she couldn't help but not do anything but one thing that was to just hope that their leader of this mission at less their part would have an idea of how to get out of this mess. Giving out a sight. "NOPE just fresh out of handles to pull."

There she was putting her life now in danger once again. "HELP HELP HELP", finding herself more and more that she wished that they was in that blasted blizzard. Then it hit her like a tone of explosives. "Hey didn't one of you have that glow stick you know that thing you cut the hold to get into this place." [member="Ordan Vosk"][member="Rayl Wilded"]

[member="Ordan Vosk"] [member="Ariella"]

Shouting seemed to be doing little in the way of attracting assistance. Whether it was that the rest of the expedition wasn't near enough or this pit just kept the echo on the inside. Their situation was pitifully hopeless. Their golden haired ray of sunshine may have just mentioned their salvation though. In a none correct statement. Since they blew a hole to get in. but what did it matter now? "My lightsaber. Of course". Rayl snatched it from his belt and activated the blade. Making sure it was aimed where no one would be standing. The soft red glow bathed the small room, at least doing a better job than the glow sticks. "I knew spending a few million credits on you would come in handy. Lets just hope this wall isn't solid". Stabbing the stone horizontally on the short end of the room proved difficult. Whatever the material was it must have been dense. Slowly the resistance to the piercing motion lessened considerably. "It went through"! Alighted he may yet not succumb to the less than heroic death caused him to pause but a moment before continuing to cut.
