The Siege of Commenor [TSE/CSA]

Status: Prisoner to [member="Darth Carnifex"].
Location: Commenor, Observation Platform overlooking the Siege.
Objective: Survive. Get Free. Fight Back.

"The survivors of this conflagration will come to understand the Force more deeply, King Arenais.
Their understanding will evolve as will they themselves evolve, learning from struggle, from adversity, to become greater beings".
Veiere Arenais listened to the same Sith rhetoric that [member="Darth Carnifex"] had tried to instill in him during the first day of his imprisonment under the Sith Empire. It was the same sort of delusions of Grandeur that Jedi were often warned about both within and outside of the Order when it came to facing down another consumed by the Dark-Side of the Force. Now, without the drug that [member="Alkor Centaris"] had injected into his veins back then, the fallen King could think a fair deal clearer.

Had Carnifex not brought war to his very Home-World, Veiere might have commented on his disappointment in hearing the same cliche coming from the Dark Lord, a figure whom Veiere had thought to have risen above such narrow sighted views. "Your words sound no less than the lies so many others of your kind have blinded themselves into believing..." Veiere spoke back to his Captor, a risk in itself though the damage was already done; The Sacking of Commenor was upon them.

His attention however would be guided to look onward as the Dark Lord spoke of the Royal Palace and those thought to be within. "Kay will never bow to you, Carnifex...-Certainly not for my sake" Veiere would remind the Sith, the same thing he had tried to tell Carnifex the day of his capture. "That Bounty Hunter there...-Is the very same man that collected the price on my head put down by the Queen herself. You're wasting your time..." Veiere spoke of [member="Koda Fett"] now. It was true the Mandalorian was all about business, yet he had a choice on what jobs he ought to take up. He had chosen poorly.

It was now that the Dark Lord would open communications up to the Royal Palace, and before the three of them, Veiere's eyes widened as he saw not only [member="Lady Kay"] but so too, his Son, [member="Caedyn Arenais"]. His boy looked equally shocked to see him, something had been said though it had been too quiet to come through over the comms-frequency; instead it was Kay who would speak up first. Within a direct line of sight, their connection re-established in strength, Veiere heard her speaking to him telepathically and replied with a likely expected statement.

'Don't worry about me. Do not give yourselves up to the Sith'.

Location: Outer Limits of Commenor System
Objective: Break the Blockade of Commenor
Logistics: UTC Corporate Navy and the Alliance Navy

Jaster and his ships exited Hyperspace outside the range of any Interdiction Field that could catch them off guard. His proxy battles with the Sith showed him that they were always looking to get a jump for his arrival. The Blockades of the Commenor Space had caused him more problems then any other force had in the last two decades. Now they attacked his closest friend and his home! Kaine will know the aftershock of stepping in his line of profit.

He called in every favor he had available, the leaders of Gydine, Denon, and Kuat were persuaded to land him the ships and forces needed to relieve the Queen. He amassed a large fleet, larger then he had commanded before. Brought the full resources of the UTC to bare, even rallies the remnant forces of the Alliance Navy that were broken in the opening combat. He was a fine commander, and his connection with [member="Lady Kay"] had made him a limited connection with the Alliance Military. All united that were protecting the supply lines were pulled back, and he now stood on the bridge of his Flag Ship, the "Mando Loot".

"Viceroy, the Sith Fleets largely outnumber our forces and blockade all routes to the surface, the survey probes that were sent out were destroyed within second of getting in long range scans." A Deck officer wearing the uniform of the UTC informed Jaster.

The Leader of the Trade Company as well as the now commander of this reorganized military force wore his Mandalorain Armor. Not the armor of the Alor of his Clan, but the old Field Marshal Gold Armor he wore in his youth. He looked over the map that relayed the outlook of the Sith Armada, if one could call it that. Even for [member="Darth Carnifex"] this was overkill in a show of force. He looked back to his battle on Kuat, Jaminere, and Dubrillon, those forces pales in comparison of what he saw now. Looking over his fleet of ships he knew this would not be an easy fight. However, he was willing to give his life for Commenor, and so it must be done. "Open a channel to the Fleet on a tight beam,"

The Comms Officer nodded, "Aye Aye Viceroy."

The channel was opened, "Ladies and Gentlemen of the Alliance Armed Forces, of this Corporations Protection Navy, and to those who offer their assistance," He took a breath, "We stand at a great Precipice of our time, this battle will dictate the turn of a new era, you all stand here to defend the Light Of Commenor, the last bastion of hope in the Core Worlds, we all stand here in service to Queen Kay Arenais as she will define this new era either into an Age of Darkness, or an Era of Hope," He paused to let it sink in, "Fight a glorious fight and be remembered as those who stood when no one else would."

The Channel closed and the Tactical Droid behind him took a step forward, "Wonderful Speech sir, shall I get you a Tissue?"

Jaster ignored the Droid, "Inform the Supply Group to stay behind the Vanguard, those goods need to get to Kay if she is to survive down there."

The Droid bowed, "Understood Sir, information has been relayed."

"Good Twoozer," Jaster paused, "I feel this battle will be a tough one, may Manda's embrace be warmer then this cold chaotic galaxy should my time come." He whispered to himself, "Inform the Fleet to be underway."

The last of the employees had been ferried away to safety on transports, and the embassy now stood empty but for its defenders, or at least as far as he could see. He watched as the transport bearing the last group disembarked before looking over to [member="Saka Amara"] with a stern look, though deep down, he was concerned for her safety above all else.

"Come on, you heard Master Nooran," the Wookiee grumbled to his padawan, hurrying her towards the speeder that had already begun loading some of the Rangers who'd stayed behind to help with the evacuation. "They'll be fine now, but we're needed elsewhere."

Without ado, as soon as everyone was on, the speeder lived up to its name, blasting at speed towards the generators. Iakchi's eyes were fixed upwards on the shield as it rippled against the constant bombardment of Sith artillery and laser fire. He was confident however that it would hold. Unless they could some how magically get in and take out the generators, it would hold. But he was determined to prevent that from happening.

He looked over to Saka, the black tatoos on her face contrasting against the pale green of her skin. "Are you doing okay? It's alright to be scared. Or at least worried. They say fear is the path to the dark side, but there's times where you'd be insane not to be afraid. It's when you lose control of your fear and let it consume you that you're in trouble. But I've got faith in you, Saka. We'll get through this alright."

Objective: Disable the Shield Generator

A sky, stained by the smoke of blast fire crowned the horizon where a military vehicle was headed. Inside, Sebastian Thel sat in the passenger seat beside a soldier who took the wheel. Not one glance had been exchanged between the two since the trip began. Sebastian appeared more interested in staring out at the murky clouds, waiting for a shell to explode on the roadside. The speeder pulled up at the front of the newly established camp and a guard approached Sebastian's window.

"Alright kid, show him your file." The soldier said as he rested on the steering wheel. Turning his head to face him, Sebastian parted his lips to speak and said nothing. He simply hit a button on his wrist device. A projection displayed a profile of him as an agent of the Saraaisash.

Sticking his wrist out of the window, Sebastian showed the guard the profile, who waved his rifle aside and allowed them both to pass through. The speeder drove to the front of the base and came to a stop. Sebastian watched the soldier exit from the driver's seat, before opening his own door and cautiously placing a foot on the ground. He wore a khaki tunic and army pants tucked into brown boots. A pair of thick-rimmed, rectangular glasses sat on his nose.

Closing the door of the speeder, Sebastian followed the soldier around the side of a building and down a metal staircase. They entered the base, where the Sith Matsu and Belphaegor were waiting. Nezumi operatives lit up the communication systems, where Sebastian's station waited for him to take his position.

"My Lady, My Lord this is Agent Sebastian Thel reporting, I'm here to assist in disabling the deflector shield." The slicer introduced himself quietly, failing to make direct eye contact with the two Sith. He nodded in affirmation, then walked to the empty chair waiting beneath his terminal and sat down.

Windows displaying the status of tactical situations came to life. Tapping away, Sebastian monitored graphs presenting tactical information and began to prepare percentages. Holo-net access was confirmed with a bright green light and enabled him to feed new data from bases across the planet into the system. The message sent by General Vexen appeared on his screen in a series of ciphers, which he quickly began to decrypt as each symbol arrived.

"Message received, General, patching through." Sebastian said as he prepared an encrypted response to Vexen, which he sent over the comms. He swiped several buttons on the terminal and sent the message through to the forward commanders.

The waves on the frequency meters bounced up and down with each incoming signal. Listening to the garble on his headset, the sound of explosions shattering metal before they faded into a low dull marred the General's voice. The slicer reduced redundancies in the message and filtered through values to match each number with a letter. In place of the cipher, he typed out a coherent message, which revealed the status of the shield generator protecting the city.

"A transmission just arrived from the General." Sebastian spoke as he shoved his headphones around his neck. "The deflector shield can only be disabled from an underground route." He faced Matsu and Belphaegor as he spoke, his voice soft and professional. "Give me a minute and I'll locate an access point." He turned around and pulled the headset back over his ears. Bringing up a new window, he entered a route into the Commenori network, where he was greeted with a multitude of security blocks.

No Determined Role | Assisting Commenor Systems Alliance | Combating The Sith Empire | Interacting with [member="Rook Lokar"] ~ Run Boy Run

Over the course of Ayessa's conversation via comlink the crowds had begun to thin. Directed, no doubt, to shelters and various strongholds where they would be centralized and protected more easily by whatever army was stationed here. If there was one stationed here. Or, a cynic's voice chimed in, just swarming together to be easier targets, because that's what scared civilians do in the midst of chaos.

Yeah. She really was no good at that tactics business.

Once Rook mentioned a 'palace' she had a visual point of reference and her head tipped upwards to look at the cityscape. Sure, it was-- It was almost on fire, but she could make out a few buildings that might fit the description through the assault in the skies, "Alright. Try not to die," Why was she saying that? "I wouldn't want to explain to Vinon what happened. See you soon, hopefully." And just like that the secret Jedi pocketed her communicator, starting to move with the crowd instead of standing against it. Panicked people were a force to be reckoned with, one that would provide absolute cover unlike any other, one she could use to start moving undetected. Ayessa had little-to-no knowledge when it came to suppressing her wearied, wisened presence in the Force -- But this was as close as she was going to get in a pinch.

Quietly, something registered inside that more than likely there were fellow Jedi here. Siblings-in-arms, servants of the Light, other Knights. And yet still Ayessa remained incognito, passing like a ghost through the Commenori crowds. She couldn't bring herself to draw that sort of attention to herself, not now, not in this place with this invasion, when even if she made herself known it wouldn't change much. She still had to find Rook and Cee-Four, the only two people on her mind. Even as guilt grew with each terrified face she passed in the crowd.

The other Jedi could handle that, though. Right?

Vizsla overlooked the skyline of Chasin City.

The siege was well under its way, but if anything he wished it would go faster than this. Commenor didn't interest him. It didn't matter. He had one target in his mind - Cato Neimodia - the purse world of the Neimodians and soon without protection because of a deal forged between himself and one greedy Neimodian called [member="Melvand Zrimmir"]. Ronan would have been there from the start... if not for the surprise interference from Silver Jedi and other chaff.

Funny how they usually showed up when something was going down.

"If she won't bow, she dies." Vizsla mentioned conversationally towards the King of Commenor. Bowed, not broken. Ronan could respect that but it also tired him out. "The Free Worlds Coalition; destroyed. The Alliance; shattered." A lazy stretch as his hand went to the handle of his beskad. Fingers closing, squeezing and then releasing. The anticipation growing higher.

"Your bravado and hope means nothing."

Head turned slightly so the Alor of House Vizsla could meet Veiere's eyes. "What you and yours build in years, we destroy in days. Such is the cycle. Ash to ash."

In truth Ronan didn't have anything personal against Commenor, Veiere, Kay or any of the other faceless people that had build a beacon of neutrality and order along the Core. But what Vizsla disliked more than anything else was false bravado. Lies. An unwillingness to see the situation for what it was- the CSA would be destroyed today and many would die. If they didn't bow? More would die. Vizsla didn't mind that, more chaff for the scythe so to speak.

But the hypocrisy of 'principles' in the face of defeat was ridiculous.

Ashes to Ashes
Vizsla was right. There was no way around it. All of those who stood before the Dark Lord and his armies claimed to never succumb to the darkness, never to fall beneath his boot, or have his armies destroy their cities, shatter their people. They were all empty promises, for each one had fallen. The Silver Jedi barely escaped with their lives, rebuilding in a space that was soon to met with war once more; the Free Worlds Coalition was entirely destroyed, ransacked into ruin, plundered of all wealth and turned into nothing more than a power that once stood tall. The Alliance? A shame. Fett truthfully believed them to be the saviour's, if any were to exist. There is always light to stand against the dark, and it was the Alliance that stood with the brightest of flames, but it is those that burn twice as bright that fade just as fast. The Sith had shattered them, and they fled, with it went Teth and the Bounty Hunter's chance to close their rivalry once and for all. Even now, in his seclusion, had he eluded the Mandalorian. Yet, it was futile to run, and to hide. Just as it was to stand against the tides of the Dark Lord and his humbled servants.

Commenor was sure to burn. It was inevitable.

The Bounty Hunter hadn't cast a glance in the direction of those that had spoken, barely if at all acknowledging their existence in the moment. His callous eyes, beneath the T-Visor, had fixated themselves upon the holographically projected map that detailed that of Chasin City. He had only been there once before, and it was then that he captured Lady Kay, for few could stand against him. Plucking the Queen from her own capital, even Fett was particularly proud of that one. The remembering thought caused a brief glance towards Veiere. Despite the circumstances, he was a respectable man by all means.

Fett's booted feet collided with the flooring beneath him as he ventured closer, only watching the map. There was bound to be something of worth, something that Carnifex required that only Fett could provide.

The moment Rohak smelled Mandalorians he regretted joining Capn. Treghast's crew in pillaging Commenor. Treghast somehow had gotten a letter of marque from the Sith for this siege or blockade or whatever they called it. It surprised him as Treghast wasn't really competent but sure had the numbers.

"Your people, Roh'. They be lookin' as feisty as always." Kalen pointed laughing at the beskar clad warriors engaging the front line of the Sith.

"Hate bucketheads, me." Vruun spat to the side cocking his long rifle.

"Not my people." Rohak grumbled through the annunciator of his helmet.

"Fair, fair, man. Can't blame me for the assumption if yerboth wearin' dat same arma."

"Museum wa' a block down da left, ye?" Vruun asked.

"Aye, dat be where the booty be."

"Jus' behin' em buckets, ye?"

"Aye."

Rohak remained staring at the invading Mandalorians with disgust. Screeching and howling like vixens asking to be put down once and for all. He increased the volume of his helmet's annunciator drastically so the Mandalorians could hear him.

"Would ya stop your squealing already?" He cocked his own blaster carbine. The spice effect was wearing off but still lingered in his mind but slowly the uncomfortable feeling of being in a wider space crept up his spine.

Location: Sith-Imperial Courer, in the skies above Chasin City
Objective: Extra Credit for his Social Studies assignment

The roar of twin ion engines echoed through the interior of the Sith shuttle.

Inside, the passenger compartment of the familiar Sith Imperial school bus had been modified so that the students were able to work on their assigned group project in the confines of the shuttle lingering in the Commenori atmosphere.

Outside, Sith Imperial TIE/D automated droid starfighters buzzed about the small transport.

Similar to the campaign on Ession, the battlefield had been divided up into sectors. Each of those sectors had been assigned to a team of Sith Hopefuls, who used control of their TIE/Ds in order to compete for points against each other in their tireless and unending quest to impress the Sith Lords who oversaw their education.

Those points being human lives, of course.

As with Ession, the young Cathar's group was composed of the Zabrak brute, Jorah, and the mysterious Polydroxol known as Blink. While Jorah was apt to merely expend his blaster bolts excessively, and Blink brought a perspective to the engagement that was strangely inhuman, it was the Cathar who managed to weave something resembling a strategy for the three of them to enact as their droid starfighters strafed along the shield protecting Chasin City, picking off any stray lifeforms that might have had the misfortune of being on the wrong side of the wall when it had come down.

As group projects went, this one at least had the benefit of being passingly familiar. And the group was one whose variables the youngling had learned to account for through trial and error. So the likelihood of a passing grade on this social studies project seemed well in their favor.

Just so long as there wasn't a pop quiz on Commenori political systems afterward.

None of the boys had bothered to learn anything about the Commenori. Mainly because they didn't expert there to be any Commenori by the time the Sith Emperor was done.

"That would be unfeasible, my lady. There's no way we can sneak any troops past their lines. They've got us utterly surrounded. There's also the matter of the city tunnel network. I suspect the Sith will likely try and sneak into the capital from below. Fortunately, I've taken....preventative measures. My "special unit" will ensure the enemy are met with a most terrible surprise should they try and brave the tunnels.", Morcus said with a slight smirk. This would be an excellent test for his pet project.

The Lord Regent remained silent when the hologram of Darth Carnifex and his important prisoner appeared in the command centre. So, that's how he was doing it. Tempting the enemy to capitulate with their former king. Good. That meant the Sith weren't in a position to sustain a protracted conflict. Morcus turned to face Lady Kay. "If they're dangling your husband in front of you like this, it means they can't be in a position to sustain this siege indefinitely. While good for us, I suggest you take measures to liberate your husband as soon as possible."

"Hold here."

Shia glanced up at the shield, then down at the endless forces arrayed before it held back by what was frankly too thin a line of brave but ultimately futile defenders. She didn't need to glance behind her to see and feel the terror in the city. No doubt the Sith would regard that as a demonstration of the power of the dark side.

Or'dinii.

The plaza was sheltered from above by an immense duracrete arch, it would take only a single round from those cannon to blow to to shreds, but it was one important single round, and combined with the population of frantic refugees - or soon to be refugees, it lowered the chance of the clans forces being spotted as they spread out into the surrounding buildings, heedless of the property damage as they dug themselves ambush holes.

[member="Lady Kay"] would want her husband back, the people needed time to evacuate. Anyone who thought the CIS, ORC or the SJO would be able or willing to send enough forces to turn the tide of this battle was a fool. The destroyer walked these fields, and only rubble would be left behind. But Kad was an even handed killer, and she intended to remind the Sith of that.

She wondered if they'd brought their Mandalorian allies, what they were being paid. She hoped they were doing well out of it, she doubly hoped they'd be part of the advance. It wasn't that she had a score to settle - but there were challenges that remained sadly unanswered.

The cycle turns, light to dark, dark to light - you can't fight the galactic cycle, all you can do is make your peace with it and survive - and Shia was betting her survival on the fact that the dark always, always destroyed itself, only a fool allied with tyrants. They paid well enough she'd take their money, but right now they had more than enough people doing that. That and they got pick about her lack of desire to be involved in planetary scale genocide. Call it a moral failing, if you will.

One Eye hunkered down without her direction, and she cast a weather eye up at the shield. Still there, for now.

Time to wait.

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Location: Chasin City

Allies: CSA and Friends
Enemies: Sith and Friends ([member="Taeli Raaf"]?)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alexandra hummed to herself, swinging her legs as she leaned back in her seat, thinking about what she would do when she got to the surface.

To tell the truth there was a lot she wanted to do, especially when she heard Commenor had great restaurants, but she figured that that would have to wait for a while until after the situation going on concerning the planet. Deciding on her course of action would need to happen soon enough as they were getting closer to the ground and [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] had made it a point to mention that fact.

Alexandra wasn't so much of a warrior anymore, the armor she wore being little more than a breastplate and a cloak that fit around the tunic she wore. Other than that, there was the retractable spear she carried as well as her sabers, the later of which was strapped to her sides while the spear rested against the wall. The voice warning her not to forget anything made her smile and the tail she no longer bothered to hide swing with her legs.

It was a cute little joke made by the captain.

It was only when the ship made contact with the earth below that Alexandra yawned and opened her eyes, watching people rush out into the city and she slowly rubbed her eyes. She didn't mind taking her time, and that was what she did as she grabbed the spear and used it like the staff she normally had, leaning on it to steady herself. She didn't need to, but this new body was still a bit weird to move around with when her mind wasn't in a combat oriented state.

Only when Asaraa started speaking to her did she respond, yawning again and rubbing her eyes with her free hand before messing with her hair.

"Hmm... sounds fun... I think im going to go find a good vantage point and watch. Being in the thick of the action wouldn't be too good for my health and im running out of lives. Already used two, so trying to keep the third going until I can find an extra life, good luck though. Try not to get hurt, would be a shame to have to report back to your masters that you came back without an arm. Last time I did that, I got a slap upside the head." She waved her hand and started walking down the street, whistling as she went and letting Asaraa and her militant Jedi have their fun while she acted like there wasn't even a battle going on.

Which in her head, even if faced with an actual enemy, it wouldn't bother her too greatly. She had her sabers, her spear, and the force. That was more than enough to keep herself safe long enough to figure out some way out of the situation.

She walked for about five minutes before sighing and reaching into her cloak, drawing out a flask and stopping so that she could open it, holding the container itself in her free hand. A quick drink from it left her smiling and closing her eyes before breathing in. She stood there like that for a short time and tapped her foot as her hands sealed the flask back up. It was only when she placed the flask back in her cloak that she started moving again.

The spear tapped off the ground, a distant gunshot causing her eyes head to turn without eyes opening back up. She wondered who had fired the shot for a moment but soon enough put it out of her mind so she could continue on without hesitation.

"Maybe I should have taken that pink haired one up on her offer... Not many sights so far..." She kicked at some stones and smiled when she found a small park like area, completely with familiar plant life that brought a smile to her face.

"Not quite what I was looking for, but I could use a break, how about you?" She looked down to her side, a white furred wolf that seemed no larger than a house cat appeared from her robes, looking at the area and nodding back at her. "Good, my feet are killing me already."

With that she moved to find a seat, seemingly oblivious that anything wrong was happening and not caring as the sound of fighting grew louder by the minute.

This certainly wasn't great. Rook was prone to finding himself in some rather trying situations, however, they were never as tough as this. Finding yourself staring down the wrong end of a blaster rifle was one thing, but staring down a Sith Armada was another. Neither of which was preferable, but he couldn't help but feel as if that was the case in the instant he glared up to the sky above. Ayessa just had to say that this stop was going to be harmless. Nothing could go wrong, it's Commenor, right? Wrong. Never had he seen someone be so wrong, and he very well be gleefully anticipating the chance to say 'I told you so' if not for the life-or-death situation. Worst part of it all? He had no choice but to wait it out until shield went down, and that's when the trouble truly began. If the stories regarding the Sith were true? Commenor was the last place he desired to be.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Rook peered out of the window after closing the door behind him. A quick glance around the room revealed that this was absolutely someone's home, but as to where they were he couldn't tell you. In truth, he didn't care to think that at all. The commlink had been brought to his mouth, activated as the loud chirping of the R2 unit sounded off, but was cut off by the sound of Rook stating, "If you find something, pick me- us up." He knew as well as Ayessa that those communicators could lead one to the other.

The Smuggler turned over his shoulder, staring into the Droid's singular eye as it only stared back. "Cut it." He mentioned in an exhausted tone, almost as if he was done with the Droid's shenanigans. "Just... stay calm." It really wasn't that hard of an instruction to follow, right?

The Queen herself and another, presumably her son given his reaction to the kneeling King, appeared before them wrapped in a cerulean haze of flickering lights. That confirmed that the Queen was indeed inside of the palace, as was previously believed by intelligence reports and orbital scanning, and that its capture would bring the Empire a plentiful harvest of prisoners. Undoubtedly, they were also scanning for his location via the palace's systems to locate where the leader of the attack and his captive monarch were, but the Emperor did not dissuade them or even attempt to halt or impede their progress.

They'd be in for a nasty surprise if they continued down that path, so why not let them bring about their own annihilation?

"The time for negotiation has long passed, Queen Arenais. The unsanctioned attack on my ships proves that the Commenori can only understand one language, that of war and violence. Thus I have come to speak to your people in the tongue their monarch has chosen for them." As if to emphasize that statement, a noticeably large artillery barrage raked the side of the palace's shields and caused the entire structure to shudder with the kinetic impact. The high-pitched wail of TIE bombers overhead could also be heard, routinely pouring down a torrent of proton bombs on enemy positions and the various shield domes alike. "And so I am left with only one course of action, your highness. Commenor will suffer for the actions of its Queen, and all attempts to bring a premature end to the conflict will be met with refusal. Compromise is no longer viable. Only your unconditional surrender will appease the Empire."

For a time the Emperor didn't even bring up the man kneeling next to him in the hologram, almost as if he was unaware that he was even there at all. Then, without warning, one of the guards delivered another excruciating blow with a crackling electrostaff to the middle of Veiere's back, intending to send him sprawling to the hard metal floor of the observation platform. "I had also come into possession of this vagrant, your highness. He had been working to undermine Imperial authority in the Outer Rim, and so he was captured and delivered to my hands by the Mandalorians; who were handsomely paid for their efforts. I brought him here to witness his Commenor's destruction, and to watch his family burn."

The Emperor didn't say which Mandalorians, but the faint images of Vizsla and Fett in the background of the transmission would indeed correlate that the Sith often consorted with the Mandalorians in matters of war. He would soon have a use for them, once the appropriate time had come.

Anything that could have been called beautiful was now subject to born torn asunder by guns.

As the barrage of guns showed no signs of stopping, the 12th continued to entrench their position under the security of artillery and the vigilant watch of their comrades. Emplacements were deployed along the frontline like glistening spears of a shield wall, mortar pits were dug just behind the very front of the line itself and installed with their 6-inch mortars with their barrels pointing towards no-man's-land, ammunition was passed along the lines by runners; the Southern flank was a hive of activity of Legionaries and Gravewalkers alike making ready for the inevitable call but alas, with the shield still holding above Chasin City, releasing the first wave now would be suicide, throwing hundreds of needless lives to the grinder with no real advantage gained. It was a simple waiting game, watching the expanse between Sith and Commenori find itself ravaged by the occasional shell that missed its target of directly hitting the shield itself.

With the communications coming in, however, a team assembled and ready to take out the generator and leave the city open to the scythe of destruction that would be caused by the sheer number of guns firing upon it, paving the way for the infantry to charge in and bring the defenders to a swift end. In order to prevent the defender's pulling back the majority of their forces and overwhelming the sabotage team, they needed to be occupied, kept on their toes facing the 'real' danger that was the Sith frontline. Sat within the command post, watching intelligence be passed along the grapevine and tactical data appeared on the holographic map, the Colonel knew that his assistance in the distraction would no doubt be invaluable; a plan beginning to formulate that would potentially keep the enemy scrambling to reinforce the defenses without pushing any of the 12th over the top and to a certain, needless death.

Starting to place out his orders, the emplacements set up along the frontline began to lay down their own barrage of fire across no-man's-land towards the defenders lines, supported by fire from the rest of the infantry to create a wall of guns that signaled that the Sith were attempting to put up an overwhelming sense of suppressible fire. As this small arms barrage was laid down, it was then supported by the various armored units of both the 12th and the supporting elements that sat at the support lines behind, their heavy weapons being added to the mix of emplacement and rifle fire yet the enactment of suppressing fire wasn't the center focus of the plan from the Colonel, simply a stepping stone to get the defenders alert and their alarm bells ringing. The mortars, having only recently installed and made ready, zeroed in their targets before letting loose shells aimed directly at no-man's-land, landing in the cursed landscape and, with their detonation, encased the approach in a cloud of thick, heavy white smoke. The signal for an upcoming charge. A whistle was blown before the screaming battle cries echoed from the Sith trenches.

A feigned attack, one that was orchestrated to divert forces away from garrison positions within the city and place themselves upon the front-line in order to reinforce it. Not a single man went over the top but, by the way they cried out for murder and the supporting fire that came from emplacements and infantry alike? It should have at the very least been convincing.

Stardust raced through the streets, every so often she would stop and look up towards the sky to see the shield rippling. She shook a bit then got a idea...she tapped the side of her helmet and started recording, recording everything she was witnessing above her. She stopped recording as she ran for her home. Upon arriving she was relieved to see darben leaving with their daughters, she came up to hin and put a hand on his shoulder

o had thought youd of already left

She said as she started hurrying them picking up her daughter and glancing around, she city to her knowledge hadnt been breached just yet, this gave her plenty of time to get them safe...she just had to hope their last option of escape wasnt taken

darben if that shield fails and the bunkers are breach head to the twin canyons, I have a stealth ship hidden there o want you to take it and get to mandalore as fast as you possibly can

Most of their journey was done in complete silence with only the sounds of battle raging above, although they seemed to be far enough down that they almost seemed distant. There were regular tremors of course, the ground constantly shaking from the intense barrage, some of which were significant enough to knock one off balance at times if they weren't prepared for it. The Nereans rarely ever spoke openly they worked in tandem with one another, fed off one another, if any words were spoken they were very quick and to the point through their coms. So far there had been no one in their direct path through the network, though they registered other groups a distance away in pathways on either side of them. They weren't a threat or a concern but he speculated they were most likely assault teams sent along the line at several other access points.

The devil was now inside their garden.

He could tell they were in the city when the sounds of battle grew more and more distant and the tremors only barely noticeable now. Any groups they saw moving within would no longer register on the ID tags as allies, anyone they saw would be enemies. Third and Fourth stood behind them a few steps pulling up the rear, while First and Second took point with him. Thankfully the dark side was a sea surrounding Chasin City which was soaked in fear. So the group wouldn't be noticed with a minimized presence. The tunnel branched off and began with a steep incline guiding them up towards the surface, the minimap on his HUD marked this as their access point. Much like the rest of the tunnels they saw it was devoid of light to avoid any energy signatures from being read, but this one had a built in metal plates to make the incline and decline smoother, railings on the side indicated this was a potential evacuation route if necessary for civilians, elderly, and injured.

"Door." First Guard said as he and Second stacked up on either side, Third and Fourth also pulled up from the rear.

"Clear to breach. No life signs." Second said. The Shadow Hand pulled one of his lightsabers off his belt as soon as the door was confirmed sealed beyond electronic means from the opposite side. The blade was activated with a snap hiss bathing the hallway in its crimson light, he sliced on either side cutting the doors supports and then driving it through the center, the door sparked and glowed a bright orange as a bar on the other side fell to pieces. He pushed forward through the force and the door blasted inward, falling heavily to the ground.

Immediately the Nereans stormed in fanning out on either side to secure the room, before stacking up on the door leading up into the first floor. Once again there was no life signs in the building above them either, municipal records stated it was some sort of office building off to the west one side of the senate building. The group made their way upstairs and to the closest door leading out into the street. So far the senate had already been dissolved some time ago, so activity was mostly limited around this area. He could see distant crowds moving and distant vehicles, but for the moment it was mostly empty. Across from them stood the titanic senate hall, it was massive reminding him of the one Coruscant had in ages past designed to accommodate and symbolize a center of power.

As they crossed the street it looked like there might've been recent activity here at some point since the start of the siege, there were subtle signs indicating old fortifications. But he could feel [member="Mythos"]'s presence all through this area like a distant print of darkness, he had subtly taken care of any unwanted security with his authority as head of security. When First checked the access door into the senate hall normally it would've been sealed and shielded if emergency lockdown was in effect but true to the Atrisian's word it had neither. They entered into the beautiful halls either side filled with artwork and made their way through the path already uploaded into his HUD thanks to plans of the building provided by his old friend, there was an access point that led into a separate tunnel that would take him down into the catacombs of the palace.

Security had already been cleaned out and it was eerily quiet in the extravagant senate hall. Once again as they reached the private access tunnel for the palace it was unlocked, and unshielded for them. These tunnels were different however, kept in far better shape and equipped with lighting, they were smoothed out unlike the roughness of the expansive natural tunnels they took to enter the city. He knew where he was going from here without the map, last time around when they launched their coup he took the liberty of learning every inch of the palace, these would empty out into the hidden catacombs beneath the palace. Their darkness was carefully hidden through the force and amulets on their person, and with so much darkness taking hold in Chasin City he wouldn't feel out of place to any force sensitives, sound wouldn't reach out of the catacombs either.

A grin took hold on his face as they finally emptied out, right beneath the royal palace.

"We've got armor moving out to engage."

"Carnivores have intercepted."

"Front lines are facing increased assault in the west and east."

Several military attaches said to the Supreme General as he assumed Lord Prazutis's command position. This was big picture warfare at its finest, with everything eventually making its way back to the war room of the primary command center. He was connected to every major leading General in charge of the various posts around the city. The massive command table showed him the entire ground engagement of the city with the Sith in red, and their enemy in blue, and it could be magnified in certain areas. Until the shield came down none of their ground forces could really advance, they had the tunnel networks where many elite teams were now making their way through but they weren't big enough for the full legion. They had time, a strong supply line, total air and space superiority and the entire city encircled. The enemy could probe their lines all they want but they were ironclad and constantly reinforced.

"Direct the Blackblade Guard forces to reinforce the pressured zones, keep up our bombardment and have the next wave bring down more armored divisions. We have ground units making their way toward the shield generators as we speak. Give me the variables." Mallear ordered, commanding a response.

"We have confirmation of Mandalorian mercenaries on the side of the enemy. We have Clans Vizsla, Fett, and Munin either already on site or on their way down to the surface. The Golden Company is here as well." The attache replied.

"Feed them available tactical data we have on the enemy, and send them the map of the tunnel networks running under the city." The Supreme General ordered. They were here to fight for the Sith Empire they should be ready with all data to design their assault.

The Munin stood amongst with his brothers as they waited for the time to depart from where they stood and advance into battle to draw blood and claim lives. All for glory and loot that they would pillage from Commenor, along with a promising lump sum of credits that the Dark Lord offered to Vilaz. Something that the Concordian couldn’t refuse. He had been consumed by the wrath and lust for warring against states and factions. Commenor and her systems were one of them, especially its seat of power and the purse world of Cato Neimoidia. The latter would have to wait unfortunately, but Ronan did guarantee him that they would sack and plunder Cato in a foretold future.

The Mandalorian observed, delighting himself on the siege the Sith Empire launched against Commenor and its people. A siege that they would win, no doubt. Everyone knew that, despite to whom their allegiances were sworn to. The state of Commenor knew this, but as always they would make a last stand with their values reinforcing their will to fight. A natural, yet odd behavior of those fighting for something that would be lost. Something that Vilaz could respect and like, but he would see their delusions of hope and light crushed. Just like with groups such as the Galactic Alliance, the Rebels, and the enduring Silver Jedi.

”But when do we draw our blades and litter the streets with bodies,” the Warlord asked to the Vizsla Alor, his tone of voice full of eagerness and irritation to just stand here waiting. The dialogue shared with the Fallen King by Ronan and Carnifex did slightly amuse him, though he was tired of hearing haunting words about the inevitable doom Commenor would suffer.

He only wished to hear the melody of metal meeting with bone and flesh.

As she walked through the Palace, she swiftly sent whomever she found that had remained, off to the bunkers. It felt odd seeing the Palace this empty. The halls were eerily silent except for the sounds of battle taking place almost muted by the Palace walls. She could still see the occasional flashes of artillery against the shield displaying in a window here or there. It was not down yet and she was glad of it. The more people they could get away, the better. But she knew without a doubt somehow, that [member="Lady Kay"] was not going to leave here.

"My Lady! What? I had heard you were back but I..." said one of her previous assistants as Silfe approached Lady Kay's office. It had been the first place she thought to look. From there the queen could coordinate a great deal. She stopped up short as the assistant grabbed her arms and expressed her surprise. It was hardly the first time since leaving her quarters, that she had come across someone who had not yet seen the previous Minister of Foreign Affairs traversing the halls as she once did. There was little time for their questions and glad tidings among the booms of the artillery. Time was preciously short for people to get to safety and the Palace was hardly small.

"Please, get yourself to the bunker immediately." The woman looked even more shocked and sputtered but Silfe grabbed her hands tightly and looked her squarely in the eyes, conveying in her dark eyes the intense need for the woman to leave. "Go... as fast as you can."

Fear returned, overtaking the surprise at seeing the former MFA. They were going to be in the middle of a warzone though it was not yet. Soon enough the shield could fall and the last blanket protection over the people of Chasin City would be left defenseless en masse. She fled, leaving Silfe to open the door to Lady Kay's office. "I think all that can be saved are..."

Silfe pulled up short from her report at finding the hologram of a Sith Lord whom she did not know (not that there were many she did) and a familiar face, though he looked drugged, [member="Veiere Arenais"]. [member="Caedyn Arenais"] was present with his mother too. [member="Darth Carnifex"] spoke, his voice leaving her to shiver in its malice. Peace could not last forever, though Silfe had always hoped Commenor could continue being a neutral party. Eventually someone would find a reason to destroy it. To most selfish or power hungry people, peace was an aberration... a scab on the world meant to be picked every time it was felt. What would Lady Kay do? Silfe did not envy her this decision. No doubt Veiere would tell her to forget him and save her people... at least the man she once knew would have. Was he the same or had his time away created a different man altogether and the Sith simply used the memory of the man he used to be to bring Lady Kay to toe the line?

Kat heard another voice calling people into the underground bunkers. There was a metallic voice, and the person was geared in Mandalorian armour, as such Kat was cautious of them. While the Mandalorian Empire was an ally of the Commenor Systems Alliance, Kat was part of the Silver Jedi Order, which was having a cold war with the Mandalorian Empire due to the Mandalorians not being a fan of the Jedi. This meant that Kat had to be cautious when talking with them as she didn't want to cause another conflict between them as the Silver Jedi were here to help ensure people remained safe during this battle.

Looking around, there was still a large amount of panic amongst the citizens as they feared for their lives. Kat held her Force Pike as she took a deep breathe. "Everyone, the CSA and their allies are here to keep you safe, there will be transports to evacuate people off-world. So, please keep calm!" Kat stated as she moved closer to the Mandalorian, there was something familiar about the person, Kat could feel a familiar connection through the Force. The connection was something that Kat reminded of Hapan.

"Be... Beth?!" Kat asked uncertain. "What are you doing here?"
