Greetings, I am Saphiron Kiosk, another Pilot for the Galactic Republic's Naval Forces.

Being a newbie, I might need some help on what exactly I should do. How should I decide my rank? And after that, what do I do?

For rank, what do you think your character deserves? If you (OOC-wise) aren't too experienced with fleeting and naval combat, I'd say Captain would be a substantial rank to be able to command a single capital ship but also possess some power in the fleet in general. If you're going for a fighter pilot, Lieutenant would be a good rank to command a single squadron.

After that? Get to storytelling! We've got a few naval officer characters here that would like nothing more than to see another in their ranks. I'm a major fleeter myself, but just not on this character account. Maybe even some Jedi would be game in meeting your character. The possibilities are limitless and you're merely at the threshold of imagination.
