The Totally Very Legal Acquirement of a Ship (PM if you wish to join)

OCC

thank you [member="Kes En'jusek"] and i thank you greatly for your being a rational human being (no joke or sarcasm i was nervous posting that because there are several people who would have reacted extremely aggressive to such a post)

OCC

you have in fact not edited your post though, it still says the same thing about stealing two ships from the same hanger, when i fact you should be on your was towards the private hanger where the one ship aka the bearclaw is located.

Kes En'jusek

Cold Blooded Assassin.
[member="Cawrion Chyrox"] I've edited the thread prior now. It's one ship now. Assume anything that says ship means the Bearclaw and the hangar I refer to is a private one. Azalyn mentions ships in her post cos I stuffed up. Just ignore it and assume it means the Bearclaw. She hopped in it and sliced it anyway. That is the one ship. It don't matter if she or I did it in the end, as we are together.

Atin Vendet locked and loaded his weapon, checking over many of the various parts as the crimson eye of his probe droid lit up. Attention was drawn from the cab driver, but a slow glance from the toothy visor, and a tap on his combat knife, was enough to rectify that. The point was clear, 'talk and I gut you like a fresh nerf on market day'. On approach to the dock, he remained a foot behind, and two to the right of [member="Cawrion Chyrox"]. He gave Cawrion a com.

[com] "Inform them that we are members of Trigolka the Hutt's staff, speaking on behalf of a private military corporation named Altowar. They'll of course ask for I.Ds. Inform them that we are part of some ambiguous group called the 'Oversights sub committee', and that for logistical reasons we do not carry I.Ds. If they belong to a rival hutt, we might be screwed. If they don't, we can extort them for fees and claim that this is Trigolka's property, as well as get aboard in order to 'inspect the ship for contraband.' Act pompous and threatening. 'We'll see how your families like that', and the sort. If they're proper Huttese scum, they might buy it. If not, we can easily make an example of one while pointing a gun at the other. Make it slow and messy. Just have to act with implied authority. Some of them wont know what to do. Keep an eye out for the smart ones. Those are the ones we'll need to make quick work of."

He did not slow his pace, or move in any way indicative of himself talking to Cawrion. However, he did straighten his back and presumed to look like he owned the place. His plan was vague enough, with so many hutts, that finding legitimacy in it would be difficult at best, allowing them to come up with a counter plan on the fly. However, it was very likely that Cawrion had a plan already, and if he chose not to go with his, then the Death Watch Ori'vod would flow with it.

[member="Kes En'jusek"] | [member="Azalyn Falconer"]

Cawrion took the com and walked into the space port. He knew where they were going and it was unlikely that they would meet any real resistance until they were close. The Mando’s plan was a good one, however he preferred to stay vague, he would off course give more information if needed, but he doubted that it would be necessary. As they walked through the space port he fished out the data-pad with the information about the ship and her crew, flicked his way through them until he found the captain and his picture.

He walked straight towards the two guard posted at the hanger entrance showing them the picture of the captain “Oi! You there, have you seen this man, me and my friend here have a message for him, it’s from Trigolka, mind pointing us in the right direction” Cawrion said this in a matter of fact way, not showing aggression towards them but pointing out that he worked for a Hutt, and helping a Hutt out can’t hurt your health, or at keast not in this way. The guard looked puzzled at him, looked at his partner and said “Well, I think I need you to refresh my memory for that”. Cawrion faked a sigh and fished out some credits, he could off course threaten them but that would be unnecessary. The guard looked happy and said “You are in luck mate, he and his co-pilot are there right now, you are welcome to go talk to them off course, but any funny business and we’ll have to interfere” Cawrion grinned at the guard and gave 500 credits and said “you two look tired why don’t you take a break, why don’t you guys go and buy yourself a nice breakfast?” the guard looked at him, then the credits, and then him again. Nodded and took his partner with him. As they got out of earshot he said to the mando next to him “Got to love credits man, in places like this, like moths to flame. Well let’s do this, let’s try not to kill them though, or at least not on the ship, I don’t want to clean it up”

Cawrion walked straight for the ship and went to the loading ramp, looked up and saw two figures stand talking. Cawrion pulled out his blaster, nodded to the mando and raised his voice and shouted “Hey there folks, Trigolka sent us to talk to you, seemed to have pissed him off in some matter, and we have come here to check out the contents of you haul to make sure you are not doing anything you shouldn’t. If you are not doing anything wrong, you’ll be free to go, don’t do anything stupid and you’ll be fine, just wait outside with my friend here” Cawrion pointed at [member="Atin Vendet"] waited for the two people with raised hands walk out of the ship, not daring to try and do something with two guns trained on them.

Then Cawrion nodded, walked inside, into the cockpit. He pulled out his slicer spike put on his slicing visor and started breaking through the levels of security protecting it from theft. It would take him a short while and he hoped that everything was going smooth outside, but was confident that the mando could take care of two people wo had their blasters holstered.

Kes En'jusek

Cold Blooded Assassin.
Kes nervously paced up and down in the tight cockpit of the Bearclaw while Raven sat in the cockpit.

"What's taken them so long. We're sort of in a rush to leave if you know what I mean. Is [member="Cawrion Chyrox"] gonna contact us soon. How long do we wait Raven? If someone finds that woman's body, alarm bells are gonna ring and security may try and lock the place down."

And then just as Kes finished talking, a group of armed security officers could be seen entering the hangar bay.

"Oh no! I think they found the body. Those officers look like they're searching the place. Shut down the ship completely as if they are convinced no one is here, they may move along."

[member="Azalyn Falconer"], [member="Atin Vendet"]

Azalyn shut the ship down quickly and easily and leant back.

"As long as nobody comes inside we'refine. Besides, as far as they're concerned she died of deathstick overdose. It probably happens all the time, they won't be looking for us."

She watched as the officers checked the woman's body.

"Anyway, even if they lock down this ship isn't part of the system anymore. When the lights shut off we can leave without being spotted."

Kes En'jusek

Cold Blooded Assassin.
Kes listened to Raven's reasoning attentively. She was right. But still she hoped that the other two would hurry.

"I agree with you Raven, as long as they don't see that her neck is severed internally. If they do, they'll know her death wasn't because of the death sticks. Anyway we should be fine, like you said, this ship isn't on their system anymore."

While everything was turned off and the two assassin women simply waited and hid in the Bearclaw, Kes decided to finally also sit down.

"So I guess we might as well get to know each other a little better while we wait. Where are you from Raven and do you have any loyalties to anyone, organisations or political groups?"

[member="Azalyn Falconer"], [member="Cawrion Chyrox"], [member="Atin Vendet"]

Azalyn's mind raced. On one hand, [member="Kes En'jusek"] didn't have any reason to betray her, but on the other hand, she didn't need one. Information could be sold about anyone by anyone and with all of her illegal escapades anything that could be used against her would fetch a high price. However, Kes killed for the pleasure of it rather than the money, and she still didn't know her name...

"I'm not from anywhere," she began. "I live on my ship. I'm a Black Tie operative but I'm barely more loyal to them than I am to any other contractor. I work for myself."

She was pleased with this. There were plenty of Black Ties and countless people living on their ships. The information could apply to anyone.

"Now it's your turn."

Kes En'jusek

Cold Blooded Assassin.
"My turn, oh yeah of course. Well I'm not from around here. I'm from a place very far away. Although that probably is not something you would care about anyway. I don't really serve anyone. I live mostly live on a starship, one belonging to a Jedi who is never there anyway. Just for the record, I hate her, yet she has no idea and thinks that we're friends. To cut a very long story short, she took me in before she became a lovey-dovey Jedi. She was once a tyrant herself and I was her personal assassin."

Kes paused a moment as she didn't really want to bore Raven with her life story, and then decided to get down to the point of where she was going with all this and why she had asked the question about her in the first place.

"I get to go on leave a lot these days. That's my time to do things I love doing without her or the others knowing about it. Like what I'm doing now. Of course when the time is right and it suits me, I'm going to kill her brutally, along with her little lapdog lover, but for now I need to occupy myself with other crimes and things to kill. You mentioned Black Ties. How do I join them or work for them?

[member="Azalyn Falconer"], [member="Cawrion Chyrox"], [member="Atin Vendet"]

"The Black Tie Syndicate - well, normally you have to find them, but since you know a member I can tell you all you need to do is find Miss Blonde. You'll get all the kills you need once you're a Black Tie. But this Jedi - you hate her because she's a Jedi?"

Azalyn had almost forgotten what hatred was. She hated her father, and she hated whoever had framed her mother, but that had been fourteen years ago and she made sure now to distance herself from emotion with everyone she met. It made everything easier.

Kes En'jusek

Cold Blooded Assassin.
"I hate her for being a Jedi, but mostly for who she once was. My parents were murdered because of the power of a rival family. They killed all members. I was but a child and managed to hide. As I grew up I became an assassin. I worked for the highest bidder just to get paid and get by. I eventually avenged my family by in turn killing the ones responsible and all their families. Yet I got seen and was on the run. Kixi the Jedi caught me, but offered me shelter and to work for her. She wasn't a Jedi yet back then so as long as I did that tyrant's dirty work, all was well. Yet she was more than a tyrant. She was a biological weapons scientist. She was responsible for slaughtering many, entire families and all. People like her were no different to those that slaughtered my own family. She may think she has changed in being a Jedi, but inside she is a mass murderer. Her type all deserve a painful and slow finish."

The emotion that Kes was showing was strong. The hatred in her eyes was strong, yet she clearly demonstrated that she had been hurt and had longed suffered. There was of course another agenda, the real reason why she hadn't yet killed Kixi and still chose to stay under her. Of course that was something she would never discuss with anyone. Especially given it would eventually involve a mass invasion fleet from her home worlds entering the Galaxy in the somewhat still distant future.

"Anyway I try not to think about it much. Anyway how do I find Miss Blonde? Do you need to introduce me, or is there a particular place I need to go to seek her out?

[member="Azalyn Falconer"]

Atin Vendet would wait until Cawrion had moved aboard their own objective, and commenced to the hard part of cracking the internal security. He motioned with sideways rifle motion for the owners to move out of the way, and put himself between them and the ship. He would wait for his ally to go through the motions, and take care of security. If so much as a klaxon began to go off inside the ship, he would intend to shoot whichever didn't have proper authorization, and take the other to unlock the darned thing.

He flipped the safety on and off, fiddling with his weapon, much to the unease of the owners of the ship.

"Everything okay buddy?", one asked.

"Just fine.", his distorted voice played back.

"You're not going to hurt us are you?", the other spoke up.

"Of course not. This is standard procedure.", he lied in a professional voice, before fiddling with the safety once more. His toothy gaze sat upon them like a vulture, searching for carrion. He awaited word from the leader of the operation, and communications to come through. No doubt security feed caught him, and would find something suspicious about the whole ordeal. A dock supervisor, complete with guards, made his way inside. The man wasted little time, and flipped his rifle up, to plant two in the man's chest. The hutt scum stood startled for just a moment, before reacting and returning fire while seeking cover behind some crates. The Deathwatch Ori'vod buttstroked the owner of the vessel, as a spatter of blood hit the deck. Who knew if he survived or not. A quick burst of fire plastered the other, as he screamed and fell to the deck.

"You shoot me, You shoot us both!" ,he proclaimed to the guards,using the owner as a human shield, and stepping backwards towards the ramp. The man's limp body held no statement otherwise. The guards moved inwards, and his blunder had made the situation a hard one to get out of. Now there was a timetable, as one called in to a higher command. Soon there would be a vast retaliation.

Cawrion intensely burrowed his way through several layers of security. He acted and reacted to the constant stream of data relayed to his visor. He was almost there now, then blaster fire outside. He hadn’t expected security to react this fast. He swore, but continued on the last little stretch to the finish line, the ship gave a slight shake as its engines roared to life.

He quickly told [member="Atin Vendet"] over the com “You ready to go or do you want to finish this conversation you’re having outside?” Waiting for an answer he sent the coordination’s to the barren planet were they were going to slice their ships for sale and keep to the other two. He had waited so they left at the same time and not cause an airborne reaction from the local authorities. However now that both teams were ready, they could soon leave, or for him, until the Mando got on board.

Kes En'jusek

Cold Blooded Assassin.
Kes fiddled a little with her comm unit. "Raven these guys are taking forever and a day. I feel like calling Cawrion to see what's taking them so damn long."

Then a knock could be heard from under the ship. "It's one of those damn security men. Shush!"

Kes and Raven sat in silence as they listened carefully. Kes would then whisper to Raven. "I think its just 2 of them now. I can hear them talking, but the others have moved on. They must be double checking the area or something. Hopefully they go soon. It will avoid a confrontation if they do."

And then Kes' comm unit squelched to life. However it was all static. Kes thought maybe it had been Cawrion trying to contact them. Yet the comm unit then went dead as quickly as it had squelched to life. The problem however was far greater as a result. Kes dropped the comm unit and put her hand over her mouth.

"Oh no!" Kes cursed under her breath as she knew the two security officers heard the crackle inside the ship.

"Raven now is a better time than ever to get us in the air."

Kes then got up and readied herself for the exit.

"Frak! We have a problem Raven, company. I'll take care of it. Start powering up the engines now!"

Kes ran for the hatch, her katana already drawn.

"You there hold!" One of the security men ordered as both had their rifles drawn. Yet the first man's voice was cut short as Kes struck at him with the point of her sword to his throat. As the man fell gasping for air, the other fired his rifle at Kes. Yet she was quick, very quick. Although one blaster shot skimmed the top of her shoulder grazing her skin and causing a burn, for most people, the shot would have hit them dead centre and been fatal. Kes then moved behind him and lifted her sword and decapitated the man just as he tried to turn. The first man she had stabbed in the throat just lay there, gargling. Soon he would be dead, Kes thought to herself. Kes then grabbed him and threw him out the door where he lay dying next to his already dead partner.

Kes closed the hatch door and ran to the cockpit to where Raven had already got the Bearclaw to life. "Time to go Raven, now already!"

[member="Azalyn Falconer"], [member="Cawrion Chyrox"], [member="Atin Vendet"]

Azalyn started the engines at lightning speed and the ship was airborne in seconds. She was visibly more comfortable as she took control of the Bearclaw and soared out of the hangar. "I'm gonna go into hyperspace until we get the go-ahead." She glanced at the shots firing at her as they rose further into the air. "Which I hope is soon. Honestly, what's keeping them?"

Kes En'jusek

Cold Blooded Assassin.
Kes was impressed at how quickly Raven got the ship up in the air, and then relaxed somewhat. Even if it was just for the time being as she expected things to probably start heating up again soon. Kes once again sat down beside Raven who was piloting the ship.

"Nice flying Raven. Yes I agree, don't jump into hyperspace just yet. We should be okay for now. I don't think the authorities have caught on just yet as to what is going on. However Raven, I have no idea why they are taking forever. I wish I could answer that question for you."

Kes would then momentarily place both her hands over her face. A sign of worry evident in her body expression, she again changed the topic to get her mind off of it.

"So regarding Miss Blonde, is there a place I go to find her. Clearly I have no idea where to start looking. By the way I was thinking, you and I, we could make a good team together. Perhaps we could do other jobs together in the future?"

[member="Azalyn Falconer"], [member="Cawrion Chyrox"], [member="Atin Vendet"]

Atin Vendet made his way up the ramp, it closing just as more security entered the hanger. No doubt other ships were going to be coming to intercept them. He cursed, and locked the man in the cargo hold, after zip tying him.

[Com] We're clear to go. Expect enemy contact.

He checked himself for wounds, unsure and unable to tell if perhaps one of the guards had gotten a clear shot on him. They had not, more to his luck than his skill. One didn't simply take on a multitude of enemy combatants and not get hit. He made his way towards [member="Cawrion Chyrox"] .

As Cawrion got the almost all clear he made the ship hover a couple of meters off the ground as he activated the shield. The he swung the ship around and let the spitfire canons rip the guards apart, he didn’t do it for pleasure, just for the fact that he hated being interrupted. Then he spun the ship around and hoped that the others had been able to lift off as well. Then he flew up and away, however it was not over yet as he looked on the scanner and found three fighters closing in fast.

He looked at [member="Atin Vendet"] as he walked into the cockpit and threw him his data pad and said “Get the others on the line, I know seem to remember that you are a little technologically impaired but I’m confident that you can manage that with the instructions on the pad!” He had to shout a bit over the roar of the engine. And then he looked at the reading he got from his scanner and he wasn’t happy, they had sent three M3-A Scyk fighters after them, depending on their modularity’s they were either going to hit them hard….. or harder. He looked at Atin again and said in an urgent voice “Hurry up or were toast! These spitfire canons are fine at a close range, but I don’t want to get close to these guys, or at least not when it’s one on three!” His fingers now flew over the controls, getting the ship ready to make the hyperspace jump when it was safe to drop his shields and readying the missile countermeasures, for those would be the first weapons that would get into range.
