[The Underworld] Party At The White Palace

Visser Chernykh

No one makes the hero bleed.
"Making friends, are you," said for [member="Samka Derith"]'s ears alone. The relaxed mien never left his face. He nodded absently towards [member="Flannigan Mcnash"] as he watched and listened. He didn't have the Force but there were undercurrents here.

"Tell me, if you would, do you sense anything out of place?'" he asked the Ren. That the newcomer was cutting highly suspect arms deals wasn't unusual. It also helped to keep a finger on that pulse too. He'd make sure to report this later.

He may not have been a Jedi but he noticed dangerous individuals moving too casually. It didn't fit their martial bearing. A soldier could spot another being with martial training. But he said nothing as it gained him nothing to report things to the hosts.

Indeed it might prove useful to see how perceptive the Hutts and their officials were. He might also spot potential threats and even allies. Who could say what groups and individuals would prove themselves either way.

Slevin let out a yawn, taking another small sip of his drink and finishing the amber liquid before placing it on the table beside him. "Sweetheart."

He addressed Natalia in a flat tone.

"I believe someone is attempting to ruin this evening." He hardly had a care for those at the party, and since he was neither notorious, nor sought after by anyone of any significance he didn't really see a need to worry himself. Couple that with his exceptional gift for forethought, Slevin found himself thinking this was all rather...trivial. There were more important matters to attend to, and in all honesty if someone wanted to kill a few members of the party then that was none of his business, not yet anyway.

It was smart really, the way the man had spoken up. Whatever the plan was it likely didn't involve poisoning anyone or slitting someones throat. More than likely the words had been meant to drive a wedge between already far apart guests. He suspected that more than a few people in this room had already been looking to kill one another and it wouldn't take all that much to make them jump. He would have done the same thing were he trying to murder people within a party run by Hutts. Of course, it remained to be seen whether this hive of scum and villainy actually began to turn on one another or if they'd stick together for once.

Slevin intended on finding out.

He slowly wandered over to one of the nearby waiters, leaving his beloved for a moment and taking two drinks from the silver tray. He returned to Natalia and their companion, giving her the tall glass he had liberated from the waiter and keeping the short one for himself. "Lets see what happens."

Thraxis heard the news, his eyes narrowed as the entrance raised itself up, taking his step onto it he looked to both of the Gammoreans, "Boys, lets grab our stuff and get ready. It sounds like chaos has been sewn and as far as I am concerned. Only those currently in the Pit, and with me right now. Are to be trusted." he said as the metal gate finally rose from the Pitts, the massive steel body rusted from all the blood and sweat that had always dampened its features, after a few seconds of looking down the hallways they decided to make their move, flipping the lever he looked to one of the Guards, a quick Nod as he heaved his massive Arg'Garok over his head, before crashing it down onto the lever it broken in two. "Now if anyone comes down. We know there after our head." he said as slowly he dissipated into darkness, the sounds of screams around him slowly groaning louder and louder as he got deeper.

10... 20... 30... 40... 50. The numbers dawdled through his head as he fell deeper and deeper into its crevices. The light slowly starting fickle into sight as he looked over his own minor kingdom, a smile lacing his face as the Gammoreans looked towards him, oblivious to what had happened above them. With a sputtering cough he made it known, his voice ringing throughout the halls barely scratching above the voices in horrible pain, "Men! Gather your weapons! Gather your suits! Prepare for battle!" he yelled as the screams slowly started to dwindle, only to be replaced by a vociferous anarchy of sounds and squeaks, the bodies hurrying along, grabbing their Arg'Garok's and their M'uhk'gfa, all the while Thraxis moved towards his cupboard, a sickened grin spreading over his face as he got himself set up and ready.

The first thing he done was put his helmet back on, setting his armor back together and removing the Apron, he didn't need something catching fire while he was in the middle of a fight. Next he strapped on his new Bracers, a little looser then he would care for, but stayed well enough on. He looked to his weapon rack, a few guns lacing it, all of which he wanted and had no intention of leaving behind. Strapping onto his belt he put his Two Pistolas on as well as his Jack Knife he had stolen from the Cartel Inventory a while back. Then he grabbed the piece of resistance, the DEMP, putting it into his duffel bag before turning to leave the room. Only to see some grenades placed on his table above all his empty pieces of paper. With a shrug he put them into his Duffel bag with his DEMP before regrouping with the rest of the Gammoreans.

He looked around, the Gammoreans lazed about, in the Cartel history they had only ever been attacked a few times, and only once had it been done by an actually competent soldier. Th rest, where overconfident schmucks. As he looked around he rallied the men, though a radiating warchant, his feet stomping on the ground first, before the Gammoreans looked towards him, "Salt the wounds...." he said in unison with the beating of his step, the Gammoreans slowly starting to follow in suit, "Strip the flesh..." he said as they all come around, reachign into a cataclysmic eruption of noise, piercing through and above the entrance to the Pitt, its voice drawing attention to itself.

Why must all of these events get ruined! This thought ran through Cadan's mind as he jump to his feet, throwing the slave off his lap and across the room. Cadan regretted that decision as his head spun from the sudden movement. "Maybe I should take it slow." Cadan said to no-one imparticular.

Cadan began a brisk walk down towards where he last throught Thraxis was although he wasn't by Flannigans wine rack? He turned to the nearest Gammorean, they seemed to always know where Thraxis was. "Oi greeny." The Gammorean turned to Cadan and puzzled look on its face. "Where's Thraxis at?" The Gammorean nodded his head and pointed towards the Pits.

Cadan drew his DL-18 blaster pistol and quickly through on some of the Enfocer armour that was found in the barracks. Cadan then started a groggy run down towards the pits, having to stop once to have a quick vomit. Spice, alcohol and running were definetly not a good mix.

Upon seeing Thraxis, Cadan would push his way through the large forms of the Gammoreans. "Got any clue who's tryin' steal the spice? Uh no, I meant who's tryna kill the person?" It wouldn't take a genius to know that Cadan had no idea about what was happening.

The droid stood on the edge of the Pits, looking down at the vast shaft going down below, clamors of some war cry or chant echoing out from its depths. In one of the corners of the room laid pieces of the Enforcer armor he used as disguise, deciding to strip from it. HK looked to his side, at a lever that would supposedly call up a lift and allow entrance to the place in the first place. He pulled on it and... nothing. He waited few seconds, no sounds of machinery or indication the lift was coming. Somebody must have either broken or jammed the mechanism on the other side.

He shrugged,

Well, he's not going anywhere.

HK calculated, he turned on his heel and he was about to leave when he heard footsteps approaching.

[member="Cadan Tazi"],
Grabbing onto the edge of his black chameleon cloak he wrapped the material around himself and disappeared as the literal cloaking device shimmered. A Duros came barreling down the corridor in a groggy run, the droid recognized him as one of his other targets, coming right to him. He could have just jumped him, but it seemed that he was looking for the same man the machine was, so he simply let Cadan pass by and go deeper into the pits.

However, he would not leave the Duros alone, the droid was following him, invisible in the confines of his cloak, muffled by his sound dampening systems, his feet raised on his Phrik claws to distribute the pressure of his steps and not leave any footprints in the dust. Cadan would be either his guide into Thraxis' lair, or the droid would witness him spring the trap meant for any intruder and get killed in front of him. Win-win in machine's perspective.

Causstik reached the gates of the pits, when suddenly the gates slammed shut. He and [member="Michael Shado"] were trapped. He heard war chants from a distance. He looked to his friend then hissed "The scorekeeper demands we finish the hunt, she calls to us," Then he pointed in the direction the chants came from. "We must go find our prey and take it's hide, only then will she be pleased and free us," Causstik made way towards the chants and knew today, he would earn many Jagganath point's.

Tydus still stood beside the Thawne couple. He was still interested in speaking with the two when Slevin whispered something to Natalia. That was when the voice came over the intercom. It was rather interesting and he turned to his Dark Shadowy figures that were hidding in the darkness of the cornors of the gathering place. This was getting more interfacing by the second. He decided to maybe get a little more information and maybe get some stuff figured out.

He nodded to the man before turning back to the Thawne couple, "Rather interesting indeed, I think I'll stick around for a bit longer, It was a pleasure to meet the both of you, we will have to continue this another time." With that the man disappeared again to the darkness and would probably appear when he felt like it. A man who commanded the shadows was someone who knew how to navigata the Underworld.

He would wonder the halls in search of this voice that had interrupted such a nice night. He broke his passive concentration and revealed himself as a Force User. Grey Energy vibrated from his body as he and his Dia Sha-Dow agents wondered the Halls.

The large bulk of the Hutts, bristled at the speakers, their flabby hides wobbling about as they looked over their guests. Abura, opened up his mouth spraying a thick haze of smoke from his hookah, "Bai jeceu kae- kanbiusa du mee." heavy words exchanged the corpulent masses of slugs, their bulbous milky eye's narrowing on the guest, going to and between. They would not run, they would continue as if nothing had happened, filling their mouths with food, spice as if nothing had happened, to run now would be as incriminating as if they had, they had guards enough to halt any attempt or at least enough to revenge one made on their lives, so they sat.

The creatures in the arena howled their cries of pain and anger, the canine jaws snapping and the sharp claws of the money flailing about in the air above him, this played out for three moments, the first was spent with the monkey atop the dog, digging its teeth into the nape of its neck, the next with the four legged beast throwing it off with a shake of its coat, the next and finally the Anooba, crushing the Asyyyriak, head in its mouth, bony red fragment and gruelling globules of blood bubbled out as the sick crunching of bone could be heard, over the roar of the crowd.

He nodded along "You have a deal on the skiff Miss Blonde, and say no more about the slaves. I forget not everyone has my acquired taste." The speaker's spat [member="HK-36"], chatter in the open airways the sound reverberating off the domed roof, his hand ran the length of his face-guard, a low grumble came from his voice box the sound a machine makes when its about to come to life, the sound of a revving engine, a groan of frustration from his metallic lip's. "Ha!" He let out a low heavy laugh. "Someone got drunk and got on the pr system again, those hooligans." he'd turn back to [member="Miss Blonde"], [member="Keira Ticon"], and [member="Visser Chernykh"], Samka Derith. "What will they think of next?"

"[member="Xalus"]." his large form faced down the Gen'dai, two titans of size looking each other over. "Please find who ever said that, and feed them their own arms. Get [member="Thraxis"], find Cadan, and make this a stomp. You don't have to bring them back in one piece, in fact I'd be disappointed if you do. So do what you do best." he turned back to the guests shooting them finger guns, moving about letting his coat fall behind him. "That was the styling of DJ Snazzy, he's had a bit too much to drink! So please have fun, everything is okay!"

He leaned down into his collar in a hushed tone. "Fry anyone who leaves without my permission, also increase the guards. I don't care if we have to activate the droid battalion, get to it." He turned back to [member="Miss Blonde"], his arm hovering a fraction away from her shoulder beginning to try and steer her to movement, walking around while he talked. "Now about those skiff, we'll take it. In fact we like your work so much we'd like to sign on with you as a permanent customer, and purchase some stocks in the company. Now before you say it, we understand your want to remain autonomous, so if you say no that's fine, no pressure from us."

The grounds of the White Palace, sprang to life with the feet of guards. Coms sprang to life calling down reinforcements, arming turrets and the occasional war beast of the Cartel. "Bring down the droids, we're gonna sweep em out with the clankers." a voice spoke up. "Found some of our guys dead, broken necks!" The hand of the cartel made of the open hand, and closed and made the fist of war.

Michael followed the Trandoshan out, only to be shut into the pits, this wasn't right. As his lizard friend continued on about the scorekeeper, the alor looked at his vod'ika with a troubling look. Something was certainly not right.

"You do you vod, I think...I will be leaving as my vod'ika here looks like she is ready to go. She has had quite the day.'

He looked over at Cerasi, switching to a private chat setting.

"Get that damn gate open, hack it, blow it up, I dont care...we are leaving. If the Hutts need us, they'll send us word."

There it was. That direct order, that push that she needed. It was that inextinguishable, wild Mando loyalty that she was born into. She had received an order from her alkor, who also was her brother. It was like something, a switch or a button, was activated in her brain. She nodded, flicking her comm in her helmet to private. "Elek, vod." Reaching into the pockets of her belt, she retrieved a special kind of toy. Sticky explosives. Three would be all she needed. She activated all of them at the same time, throwing one to the right of the gate, one to the left, and one at the very top. The steady beeps increased, the lights on the grenades flashed red. She grabbed Michael's arm, pushing him back a bit as the gate exploded.

Once the rubble stopped raining down, but while the smoke could still conceal, she flicked her comm back to private chat mode. She glanced at [member="Causstik Rahn"]. "We're leaving." She glanced at Michael once more, before she moved forward into the smoke.

[member="Slevin Thawne"] [member="Tydus Wryeens"]

All things considering, things were actually moving along swimmingly. Before their conversation with Tydus could go any further, the knowledge of a bounty hunter searching for hits made Natalia give a knowing smile.

That is what happened when the rift raft made mistakes. When one was searching for power and to make a name for themselves, they had to do it in a way where they would not get implicated or caught. It was to Slevins' and Natalia's advantage that the bulk of those who served in the criminal world didn't have the finesse it took to perfectly balance savagery with a tactical mind.

Wait and see, was what Natalia and Slevin were moving towards. For now, those wide green eyes went drifting over Tydus. Slevin could talk.

[member="Natalia Thawne"]

Slevin watched quietly, taking slow sips of his drinks as he watched the men and women of the Hutt Cartel quickly mobilize towards the threat that had revealed itself.

He of course realized that whatever had made itself known had done so on purpose, meaning that it wanted to be chased. Slevin doubted that whoever directed security here didn’t know that, but there really weren’t all that many responses to a situation like this. One couldn’t very well just stand there and do nothing.

It was amusing really, presenting a conundrum.

He wondered briefly whether or not Bounty Hunting in such a way was even worth it. Surely it would have been easier to nab someone when they were alone rather than at a party in the middle of a bunch of other Criminals. He frowned slightly looking towards his beloved as the other man departed. “I think I would very much like to meet this Hunter.”

The comment came flatly, though Natalia would be able to tell he had genuine interest.

It was gonna be one of those days.

Roberts passed out from a large hallway and into the ground level vehicle bay. Looking about for anything worthwhile to steal and make a getaway on. Well... That was until the alarm went out and suddenly everybody was on the alert for intruders. Dang. That would make her escape even more troublesome.

"This palace is equipped with laser cannons and turbolasers. Any escape attempt will undoubtably end badly should we take to the open desert via the front door. ...No. I suppose I'll have to disable a few parameter guns before even trying such a dazzling effort. Bah. ...What a terrible afternoon I'm having. Go figure."

She promptly turned about and began a journey to the upper levels of the palace. She would need to disable any cannons overlooking the vehicle bay. Otherwise, this would be a very short escape indeed.

Karen just hoped [member="HK-36"] was having more luck than she was right now.

Miss Blonde

Miss Blonde raised her eyebrow under her mask and stayed cool while the cyborg put his hand closer to her. I am bigger than my problems, I am bigger than my problems, I am bigger than my problems. Blonde repeated the mantra in her head times to keep herself from blowing watermelon sized holes in Flannigan's chest. Money was needed and the Hutt Cartel was a very profitable customer, she just had to find it in her heart to not murder people because they were vexing.

"Stocks are not available for purchasing, however long term contracts are available. Thank you for choosing Reclaimer Arms & Industrial for all your vehicle and fire arm needs. A contract will be finalized and sent to you, please sign it and send back whenever your lawyers have finished reading and approving." Blonde said as she looked over to Flannigan.

"Now if it's all the same, my associate Miss Nothing and I must be leaving. It's been fun, truly it has but we both know that was far from a prank." Blonde then stepped away from Mcnash and pulled the large fifty caliber hand gun from her side and looked to Keira.

"Let's be off. I hope for the sake of your droids we're allowed to leave, I don't sell new droids after all. "

And with that Miss Blonde and Keira started walking back to the front gate to try and make it to their speeder. The sooner they left the better, this place made her want to take a hot shower with a Brillo pad.

Quick Reply

If he could shiver if he could feel the lightning bolt of sensation that ran down the length of a spine, he'd have felt it, his hand touched [member="Miss Blonde"], shoulder clenching around it almost possessively, the light of his sockets sparkling with her images reflected thousands of times in those steely eye's. "Lawyers, we're above that. You're above that, if the letters of the deal aren't met, it will simply end in blow. Guns at each other's throats." He looked up staring at [member="Keira Ticon"], sharing a look that spoke volumes but said very little, it was a confusing look an almost challenge. "I wonder who'd shoot first, I wonder what you look like under there." He looked back down at [member="Miss Blonde"], his grip releasing and withdrawing from from the women's form.

He let out a low chuckle looking over his scalpel like finger's, moving them. "You're free to leave, I hope we see each other again." he leaned into his collar speaking hushed words. "[member="Miss Blonde"], is to be let through." He saddled himself onto a Twiliek, his large arm hanging heavy forcing her to stoop from his strength. "Have I ever told you, how I became the greatest pirate ever?" he gave a look back towards [member="Miss Blonde"], before moving on with his catch.

Her gaze met his own evenly beneath the helmet, her stare just as unwavering as his own. At this point Keira had long since passed sizing him up as any kind of opponent, viewing him merely as a target to be disposed of when it became necessary. There was nothing he alone could do to her, and the both of them knew that much. It was what he was capable of that was the real killer, but as it stood his resources were needed elsewhere. All this amounted to was a bit of posturing, and with her all but looking for an excuse to hollow out his throat, hers was less so a method of show and more so a thinly veiled threat. It was a shame it could amount to nothing more, but they had already drawn enough attention to themselves as it was.

In the coming moments [member="Flannigan Mcnash"] would feel a slow pressure begin to encapsulate both his lungs and trachea - regardless of whether they were organic or otherwise - squeezing steadily until there was just room enough for him to take in the minimal amount of air to continue living. "There would be no shots fired. Your death will go unnoticed, as is common with the rest of your kind." Her look lingered on his form for just a few seconds longer before she turned and followed [member="Miss Blonde"], content to leave this all behind.

As Miss Blonde started walking away, Keira did her whole voodoo mind power Professor X magic to Flannigan. And while normally Miss Blonde would have to scold Keira and tell her what she did was wrong, she didn't really feel like it this time. All she did was wave at Flannigan from the doorway without turning around when Keira released him.

"Feelings not mutual. I'll call you when the barge is finalized. Also good luck with the whole snake thing." Blonde then exited with Keira and her six other armed body guards.

Walking side by side with Keira the woman looked up at her friend letting her Mask's yellow LED lenses meet with Keira's visor.

"That was very rude of you, Keira. Choking a man in his own home." Blonde gave Keira the feedback on tact but they both knew she was smiling under the mask and trying her hardest not to laugh.

When they passed the gate guards the two of them stood for a moment as she got her comm link out.

"CHICO!! Please bring the speeder around." Blonde yelled into the comm link.

The speeder came flying around the corner and Miss Blonde quickly had her men scan it for trackers and bombs, once it was cleared she and her men piled in and they drove off to get off this armpit of a planet.

Cadan hardly noticed the droid at all. Even if he wasn't wrapped in his cloak. The spice was tripping with Cadan mind and causing everything to meld into a blurr. After his last sentece through Cadan realized that he wasn't talking to Thraxis at all, instead a mop standing upside down against a wall.

"Maybe I should lay off the spice aye?" Cadan said to a passbyer as he quickly rapped his arm around their neck and placed the DL-18 against their throat. "Someone broke the elevator to get down to the pits and I need to get down there so what should I do?"

The man began to stutter as this all happened to fast. "I-I-I think you could just jump?" The man said before Cadan let go and headed for the pit.

From up here Cadan could see the pink form of Thraxis, although he was fadding in and out of his sight. "Catch me!" Wether it was sheer dumbluck of the will of the force, as Cadan set down from the ledge his magentic boots saver him. The duros slipped down the 15ft dropper his boots preventing the Duors from splatting against the ground.

While Cadan was going through his spice trip, the droid was, still in stealth mode underneath his cloaking cloak, hiding his face-plate in his palm, rubbing his metal temple,

I am depending on an idiot leading me through a labyrinth,

The machine calculated as he had quite enough of this. HK was about to reach out and grab Cadan by his neck, dropping his stealth to give him a good electric zap and stun him unconscious, but just then the Duros grabbed a passer-by, putting a gun against his neck and the machine calculated it was more efficient to wait. He witnessed the exchange and the Duros headed back towards the Pit. HK was seconds away from shanking him back to Empire Come but then the Duros jumped down into the pit.

Fortunately the droid had magnetic soles within his feet as well. HK had to act quickly, slinking down behind Cadan, sliding in his path, with the cloaking device cloak, his cloakity-cloak, wrapped around him and hood pulled down like a mask to make sure he would not drop it and appear by accident. He used the dust kicked up by Cadan's slide to hide his own slide, his sound dampeners making sure his approach was silent. In the end the droid would land nearby Cadan, making sure he would not just drop on the Duro's head, his claws descending down to spread the pressure over larger surface area and not leave any significant footprint.

It was all probably going to go to hell, that's usually how it went with those things.

Thraxis paused entirely, the all too familiar voice being heard through the fifty foot drop as his heart stopped a beat, looking over the Gammoreans to hold their weapons steady, since no man, no woman, nor even a child would do something as dumb as jump down a fifty foot thing and expect someone to catch them. Though he didn't hear a crash, he didn't see a splat. He saw nothing more then him slide down with all the grace a hoped up Spice addict could manage, which was none in fact.

The echoing chants behind him, the choir of screams as they thought to their luck someone had come to save them, though in truth it was nothing more then some spice addled Duros. His blue skin a stark contrast to the red and black that decorated the Pit, "Cadan...." a look of bewilderment washing over him as he fully "How.... What force of nature is keeping you alive?" he begged, he had no idea how he had managed, or even how he manged to waddle down the Elevator with such ease. "No... no, men, focus up, Cadan get over here immediately." he demanded, he had just shown whoever the intruder is a way down as well as distract the rest of the Pitt.
