The War on Hapes (Year Long RP)

@[member="Yusan Fenn"]
Tal dropped the rock in mid air, not haulting it or changing it's course. Seeing that the man was responding to it. That was when Tal began to get into the battle. His feints and hits became more unpredictable. It was when he slashed in quick sucession from the right than left using both ends of his blades before kicking towards his ribs with a force enhanced kick. He hoped that it would throw off him enough to geta good hit in on. Several of the young boy's jabs had almost hit him, and Tal needed to be more careful. Less he lose this fight.

While his blade and himself moved to stop both strikes of the saber he was hit in the chest by the kick, knocking him to the ground. When the Twilik would try to strike Yusan would roll out of the way and kick with both feet up into the gut of the other. The kick would have the same trick that the twilik used on him where he put a bit of force energy behind it, that mixed with a strike that was both unorthidox and unexpected should knock the Twilik off guard long enough should it work so that Yusan could return to his feet. Once standing again if possible, he would level his saber on the Sith and wait for it to strike once more, he decided that tiring him out would be the best tactic here. @[member="Tal Lom"]

Growling as the shrapnel dug into his skin, Marcus snapped around, again pushing @[member="Vulpesen"]'s back. He was using the same tools that had failed at first to try and achieve the same goal. Surely he'd realized that using the same technique and expecting a different result was insane. No seriously, that was like, the definition of insanity. He closed the gap between him and the pad wan in moments, unleashing a barrage of strikes with the emerald blade. Wait...wasn't he the insane one?

As @[member="Marcus Faust"] turned to attack, Vulpesen quickly changed his focus to his lightsaber hand, opening it (though careful not to drop his saber) and using the force to push him away from the sharp objects which were left to stab into the ground where he had been laying. He'd used a similar tactic back when he had sparred with his fellow padawan, @[member="Flint Dexen"], who was hopefully on his was to help Vulpesen out. Growling as he skidded painfully on the ground, Vulpesen fell into a crater which allowed him to tumble and roll to his feet. Pain was everywhere, he was bruised battered and scratched, but very much alive. Finally he ignited the second end of his saberstaff before stepping out of the artillery crater. "You missed." Vulpesen took another ready stance and centered himself in the force, keeping a two handed grip on his weapon.

Marcus once again didn't respond. He only slid down the side of the crater and leapt down onto @[member="Vulpesen"], saber aimed to impale him. In all likelihood he'd dodge it, and Marcus followed up, lashing out with a barrage of blows at close range towards his abdomen and arms. He raised his hand up and brought down a falling avalanche attack of the Dejm So form onto Vulspen, all of his strength behind it. With cybernetics, the force, and his own natural strength propelling the blow, he'd smash through any sort of defense.

As much as @[member="Marcus Faust"] would like to think, Vulpesen would be an easy catch, the boy once again moved to prove him wrong. He had a few more tricks, and now the sith was in for one of his favorites. Vulpesen quickly brought up his blade to deflect Marcus' first attack to the side while twisting on the hilt to disengage the locking mechanism that held the two sabers together. Using his right hand to hold back the blade of his enemy, Vulpesen quickly lunged his left blade forward at the middle of his opponent's torso, a place that was naturally hard to dodge, especially since Vulpesen was using his smaller size to maneuver through his opponent's longer reach.

The saber sailed through his gut, but Marcus only smiled, he felt no pain. Instantly he snatched the arm so it couldn't move. Then he cut it clean off at the elbow. The boy was a fool to stab a being that was more machine than man, his abdomen was largely mechanics, but it still damaged his functions, but it didn't matter. @[member="Vulpesen"] would certainly feel his arm leaving his body, and the searing burning pain that followed. As force push would send him back, as Marcus stood there, saber in his gut, arm still attached. Unless he somehow stopped the attack, which was unlikely.

Vulpesen almost panicked as he arm was grabbed, as a matter of fact, he did panic, but his enemy seemed forget three facts. One, the blade was not attached to his arm. Two, the force was in this one. And three, lightsabers cut almost effortlessly, unlike durasteel blades. Upon realizing his mistake and having himself immobilized, Vulpesen forgot all physical means and trusted in the force. He released his blade and used the force to launch it up, keeping the vertical angle as he attempted to slice Marcus in vertical halves from the hole up. He was almost completely sure this would work, and he allowed Marcus one small victory, regardless of what happened to his arm (though he hoped the force of the attack would throw Marcus back.). In that last moment of the battle, Vulpesen gave in to his fear and allowed it to power his attack through the force, giving it an extra boost from the dark side of the force. @[member="Marcus Faust"].

The hand grabbed the saber and squeezed down, literally breaking the saber. It would no longer function. He hurled the boy into the wall of the crater before them, anger giving him strength. In an instant Marcus drew all his power and let loose a torrent of force lightning, the purple electricity would come forth with such ferocity that the one saber @[member="Vulpesen"] had remained could not block it all, no he would suffer. Relishing in the screams that would soon emanate from the boy Marcus grinned wickedly.

The battle behind grew in intensity, and he decided he'd definitely had stepped out at the right time. Turning back towards the battle as the skiff continued on towards the Zeld estate the Cragmoloid saw a sight that truly surprised him. A creature of legend soared through the clouds and dived on the troops below. He was fascinated by it, it was impossible, it was a dragon. As the battle started to disappear into the horizon he watched artillery fire from deep inside republic territory land amongst the front lines. Evidently they were willing to defend that line at any cost, he'd note that for later purposes.

Turning towards the estate the massive beast just shook his head at the foolishness he left behind him. Most likely it was the youngest commanders on these lines at the moment, no doubt as the situation got more serious the senior officers would arrive. With a loud huff through his trunk the mercenary watched as the estate's buildings grew in the horizon. Moving towards the front of the skiff he took a large cloth out of a pocket, and wiped off the blood still dripping from his right tusk. With any luck they'd remember that a new pool of mercenaries were pooling everyday into the Zeld estate, and if the Cragmoloid played his cards right he'd be on top of them all.

Sniffing at the air as they traveled he could smell something different, some he'd never smelled before. "Grundark wants to stop, now" Speaking to the pilot who look surprised at his orders, but completely unwilling to argue the point with a creature nearly six times as large as he was.

Stepping off the skiff the Cragmoloid extended his floppy ears to listen all around. While his kind didn't have the bast far ranged sight in the galaxy they could hear, and smell like none other. Walking towards the smell of men, and something else he hadn't ever smelled before he was curious. He could hear the rattle of armor though, and wasn't about to be caught completely out in the open, and away from his own war droids. "Grundark thinks armored men should be in plain sight, what need does a warrior have for trickery in a fight? If you aren't looking for a fight then Grundark thinks you should holster your weapons, and come out to talk."

Vulpesen saw the lightning. He'd risked losing his right arm, and now he would willingly lose his left if it mean destroying this evil. He focused himself deeply I the force, he would use the pain to draw strength when the lightning hit but before the moment, he would wait till his enemy was too preoccupied with blasting him to hold out his remaining saber and send it on a straight course at the head of @[member="Marcus Faust"]. He lifted is left arm, waiting for the pain as he used every ounce of force to keep a straight path. His focus was kept strong enough to power the weapon past any force attempts to stop it, unless Marcus should give up on his lightning. It seemed to be a forced choice, but Vulpesen had purposely focused himself to create as powerful of a light in the force as he could, attempting to blind his enemy to the blade racing to his brain under the guise of an attempt to guard himself against the electric assault, which would have been the normal thing to do.

Now it ended. As the lightning ceased, Marcus pulled down the walls of the crater onto the Jedi Padawan who lie desperately trying to slay Marcus. He literally had just buried his foe alive under mound after mound of rock and dirt. It would either kill him, or it would critically injure him, leaving the weaker, less skilled foe of Faust to be captured or slowly die on this field. Regardless, it ended now, and there was nothing to be done about it.

"You have fought well, but you have lost."

@[member="Vulpesen"]

Vulpesen refused to allow himself to break his focus, over it was, and Vulpesen left his fate to his friends. The plan had worked. His enemy had focused on the padawan who lie buried in the rubble while his blade pierced the sith's head. The saber went well past the sith's head, just incase and once Vulpesen allowed himself to return to his body, he immediately fought off the feeling of being closed off and pushing himself some room with the force before bringing himself into a jedi trance. The pain was unbearable and thus, it radiated to his allies, keeping his distinct force signature as he tranced in pain and hope. @[member="Marcus Faust"] @[member="Rang Inyri"] @[member="Dove"] @[member="Flint Dexen"] @[member="Yusan Fenn"]

The blade, however, had only cut through a side of Marcus' face, efficiently severing his lower jaw. He grasped the wound in agony, calling on the force to heal the wound to the best he could. Mending some of the damage, but not all of it, the jaw was gone. Leaving the pit he grabbed @[member="Vulpesen"]'s lightsaber on the way out. One of his saber guard moved to him and helped move him. The two others jumped into the pit, their orders were simple, take him prisoner, or kill him. Pulling the rubble off of him they marched towards him, looking down at his limp body.

Vulpesen sensed the incoming trouble but refused any real movement, other than a movement into his coat. The gaurds would find a rather unpleasant surprise as the uncovered Vulpesen's body. His eyes snapped open in rage and shot one immediately in the face, refusing togive him any chance to move as he still held a rock in the hand. His friend was slightly luckier as he would have just enough time to drop his rock before Vulpesen called his lightsabers into his hand and slashed at the foe in rage, moving from different angles. The pain in his body fueled his motions and as he struck from many angles at his defenseless opponent, killing him rather quickly before turning to @[member="Marcus Faust"], he eyes golden due to his closeness with the darkside. "Give me my lightsaber." Vulpesen's voice was a growl as he walked towards his enemy. Marcus focused on sorrow to help him in the darkside, while Vulpesen had chosen pain as his drive.

He felt sick and treacherous for giving in to the evils of the dark. Somewhere in his mind there was a fox screaming and howling to be released from its cage. But it was to no avail as his mind had replaced the normal Vulpesen with a wolf. Something rabid and angry. "You will not leave with the link to my father." The crystal in that lightsaber was the thing that he was referring to. It was the only link he had to the family he never met, and he'd die before he let that go. As close as he had come, Vulpesen wasn't dead yet. Just majorly injured and really kriffing pissed.

Marcus used rage as his drive, not sorrow, he was long past sorrow. But @[member="Vulpesen"] had given in to his anger, a gurgled laugh was all that came from the Knight as the guard he hadn't killed, the one who'd only been hit with a rock, stood up, and ran the crimson saber of his fallen comrade at the padawan. From behind a cracked and shattered visor was an eye glowing red in rage. Vulpesen had made the mistake of killing one of these guards, they were brothers in everything but blood, and killing one of them would only drastically anger the others, and as the padawan had begun to learn. Anger was a powerful ally. Marcus left for a tree line, settling in to the Imperial Army camp that had been waiting. Medical officer would get to work, amputating what remained of the jaw and replacing it with a voice modulator.

Vulpesen growled and struck out with his off hand, happy that the burying had ceased the sith lightning before it could do any impeding damage. His blade's struck out from opposite directions, working to overwhelm his opponent's defenses as he struck from opposite directions, yet keeping the attacks centralized to defend against any counter attacks. @[member="Marcus Faust"]

The guard retaliated in kind, bashing back the blows with a violent fury. Crimson blades collided as @[member="Vulpesen"] dueled with the seasoned expert, but it was for another day. Ducking under and slashing back, the guard aimed to harm the Jedi by harming his leg, not taking it off, but simply injuring it. A small burn. With that he pushed the Jedi back and walked away, the fight was over, the Jedi would die from his wounds if help was not sought out by him, so the man left, leaving the battle that was slowly dying down, so people could, 'ya know, do what the thread was intended for. Which wasn't just two writers spamming each other, so the writer of Faust decided to give everyone else a chance to do stuff.

Finally, Vulpesen dropped to his knees, the sabers of the defeated sith, falling to his sides. He'd fought hard, but his body was done. His prevailing thought was on the crystal that was being taken, and he vowed to the starts that it would belong with him again. It was far too valuable to his lineage to just walk away with a sith, and someday he would have it back. That day may not be for a long while, but it would happen. As his head hit the ground, Vulpesen relaxed and focused himself on surviving until a medevac came. It was about the best he could do, but still, despite his defeat there were lights in the dark. He'd taken down a sith, injured two more, and on the ground a few yards from his head lay the twin of the crystal that had been taken. Vulpesen held out his hand and weakly dragged the object into his palm, clutching it with an iron grip as he called for a medic on the com before slipping into unconsciousness due to his lack of blood and will.

With the battle seeming like it was going to last forever. I looked to see that Rang could hold herself now. Nodding my head once I bounded with a force jump high into the air and flipped into the direction of a Jedi and Sith that were fighting. Seeing that the Jedi was on the brink of what would be his possible death WIthout even thinking I landed between the two. as the Jedi fell to his knees. "Mind if I take over?" Swinging my blade I aimed for his chest then with strikes to follow to his arms and chest aimed to fight the Sith who was almost going to kill this young man. I had seen him once before, though it was like a fog in my mind.
