To catch a Street Rat.

Carliah Dakrone

Walking the Path to Redemption
Carliah nodded, once again biting her lip to keep from crying. She mentally scolded herself for breaking down in public. She hated letting people see her cry. She tilted her 'gaze' back up to Yusan. "Can we just go home... I mean uh... Back to your apartment."@[member="Yusan Fenn"]

He nodded and helped her up and took her outside. Walking down the street for a few minutes and picking his way among streets he led her into the apartment complex and up the turbolift to his apartment where he sat her down in the couch while he went over to sit in a chair nearby and look out the window at the street. "Sorry for bringing that up earlier."

"It's okay... It isn't your fault." Carliah was sitting with her knees pressed against her chest. She was rocking back and forth slightly, still trying to shake off the crushing depression memories of her past always seemed to bring up.

Yusan walked over and sat down beside her before pulling a blanket around her shoulders and smiling at her. "come on now, dont be so sad things will get better and youll end up just fine in the end." He rubbed her back while she tried to cal, down, trying to help her do so without pushing her too much to forget about it, he had to take the middle ground on a thing like this and that was something he didnt do often.

Yusan walked out into the main room an stetched after having meditated the whole night again. He rolled his neck once and headed to the couch that resided near the window and collapsed down into it. Letting out a sigh as he stared at the Coruscanti morning sky.

Carliah had been living with Yusan for several weeks now. She still felt a bit awkward, tripping over things in his house constantly and making a huge mess due to her partial blindness. She yawn loudly, but her yawn was interrupted by a violent hacking cough. She lurched out of bed, still coughing violently. Her coughs would be loud enough to hear through out the apartment.@[member="Yusan Fenn"]

Yusan looked over from the window and stood slowly, heading straight for the bedroom and heading in. "You ok?" He looked over from the far side of the room at the woman who had become his assistant for the past few weeks. He had let her stay here because she had no where to go and as such he let her occupy the room sense he rarely slept in the bed before then as it was.

Carliah began to nod and instead broke into another large coughing fit. Her hands were sticky with the mucus she had coughed up and she grabbed a tissue and wiped it off. "I think I'm gettin' sick" She was breathing through her mouth and sounded as if her nose and sinuses were clogged.@[member="Yusan Fenn"]

Yusan went over and kneeled near the side of the bed and staring at her for a few seconds before grinning and speaking in a joking voice. "Yup, your definitely sick." He sat down now on the edge of the bed and looked at the ceiling, scratching the back of the head. "Though i cant help you that much to tell the truth, im a horrible doctor and if you want something to eat even worse cook."

Carliah nodded and coughed again. She whimpered sightly, her throat hurt like crazy and coughing made it worse. She was amazed she wasn't coughing up blood yet from how violent her coughs were. "Well what do we do now then?"

"Well, i normally just lay around while im sick and wait for it to blow over, worked fine most of the time." He leaned back and half laid on the bed before turning his head in her direction, raising a brow at her before speaking. "I assume youve had something like this before?"

Carliah nodded and coughed slightly again. "It sorta feels like an illness I had about a year ago." She laid back against the bed and whimpered again. "Will you please make me some tea?" @[member="Yusan Fenn"]

Yusan nodded and stood up slowly, stretching and heading out to the main room where he had a small kitchen prepared and started to make the tea she wanted. His hands glidded from cupboard to cupboard, pulling out different plants from them and searching for the certain set of herbs that would be best. The reason for such a peculiar set up and no automatic makers for the tea was simply that he had lived in a primitive area for so long before coming to coruscant that this was the only way that felt right. @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

Carliah waited patiently for Yusan to return with the tea. She burst into another coughing fit, but other than that she remained silent. Living with Yusan had stirred up some very unfamiliar feeling inside her. She couldn't help but feel safe around him and whenever he left her in the apartment by herself she noticed it made her a bit sad. She blushed anytime he got to close to her and she didn't understand why. She hoped she'd figure it out soon because she thought Yusan might be noticing her strange behavior.

Yusan walked back into the room carrying a cup with the tea in it. His eyes drifting over to her as he sat down on the edge of the bed and handed it slowly over to her. "Her you go miss Carliah, hope it helps you feel better." He remained on the bed and waited to see if it did just that, his careful gaze lingering on her. @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

Carliah blushed as Yusan handed her the cup, she sipped at the tea slowly, blush still lingering on her face due to his presence. Her cough got slightly better as she drank. She leaned back against the pillow, holding the tea cup in her lap.
