To the beginning.

Garen nodded and lifted his hand to start petting Ace. "They sound like useful companions. Perhaps I'll get myself one someday." To this, Vulpesen couldn't help but speak with a large smile. "I'd be happy to help you. They live on Myrkrr." As he spoke the actual name of the planet, hie felt a surge move through the emotions of his father. "Vulpesen, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to speak with you in private before you depart, there's a certain matter I'd like to discuss." There was no true sorrow in the tone of his voice, but there was seriousness, t which the younger zorren gave a confirming nod. "Of course."

"Should i leave and give you a moment to talk over what it is that you two need to talk over... I mean i can if thats what you need, its not to much trouble for me after all to leave at a sudden time you two require?" She looked between the two and while her curiosity peaked at the mention of his father wanting to talk to him, she knew it was not her place to intrude on a private matter.

Garen shook his head and smiled up at Alex. "No need. The matter is important, but in no way is it pressing. I'm truthfully just hoping that I'm not taking up too much of your time talking to you when you could be doing other things like exploring the compound or enjoying time with eachother instead of an old man."

She smiled and laughed as she shook her head before the 'old man'. "Do not worry about alone time, i sure me and Vulps have had more than enough of that, though i am not sure if the fox face agrees with me?" She looked to him with a smile and raised a brow at her companion, waiting to see if what she had though was indeed true.

Vulpesen turned a grin towards Alexandra and his tail flicked. "Partially correct. Alex is right, that I might want to be around with her... but I have to say that I don't want this talk to end. I've waited twenty-three years to meet the one I father. And now, suddenly, you're right here talking to me after years of me never seeing even a glimpse outside of that holocron you left Zarro." His words were calm and jovial, but Garen still flinched as he was reminded of the years apart from his son.

"You're right and I'm happy to talk to you but lets not waste all our stories in one session." He got up, his small moment changing as he smiled and patted Vulpesen's shoulder. "We'll talk later. For now, you two take a look around. If you're going o aid us, you might as well see whats going on around here?"

"Just as long as no more trees eat unexpected Guests, i think we can manage that... err Garen." She wasn't used to using the old man's first name, normally she was a little more formal when the person wasn't close to her, though Vulpesen's father was close in a sense no? Oh well, she was smiling as she said that and nudged Vulpesen to get up.

Garen smiled and got up to leave, heading int he direction Carliah had gone. "I think we can manage that. We're not expecting any more patrols so soon after the first." He moved past the door, his tail flicking behind him. "So, what was that about someone being eaten?" Vulpesen lifted himself from his seat and offered a hand to help her do the same.

"Your people's world has man eating trees.... i recommend you dont pee on any of them..." She grinned, poking him in the side as she walked with the zorren now, her hand grabbing onto his arm and smiling wide as she looked at the man that she was close to.

Vulpesen gave a slow nod, his eyes widened in amusement and terror. "I'll avoid hiking up any legs. Though, that is awesome." He smiled as she took his arm and wrapped his tail around her as they walked. "So, where should we go. I'm assuming you don't want to be anywhere near some orchards."

"You are an ass..." She punched him in the arm as they walked and smiled feeling the tail wrap around her as she moved with him. "How about you choose then, after all it is your home and not mine so i am not sure that i would be able to accurately lead myself around. Just dont go smelling butts."

"But I'm your ass." He continued to grin widely, rubbing his arm where she had hit him. "And I don't think thats a custom around here, and even if it were, don't worry, I've no intentions of doing that." He continued walking. "Perhaps we could check out the market. Not sure if they accept general credits, but I've always seen it as a good way to examine a people's culture."

"Sure, i could do to see what they have for texts on the planet too. To be lost to history for eight hundred years... thats the correct number right? OH its just so exciting... i just wish it wasn't during the middle of a war as that severely limits my abilities to gather reliable information except from the older members of the race in which to compile a text on the h- err ya, lets go to the market." She didn't realize how loud she was getting with how excited her voice was and the fact that every Zorren in a fifty meter radius probably heard her.

He grinned at her outburst and started to the door. Of course, all they would reach while outside would be a large underground cavern, but it was better than the cooped up room. Once they left the administration compound, it was a short walk to the market where a set of stalls stood ready to take their orders and give their pitches. All around them, Vulpesen could see colorful and extravagant foods and flowers, as well as bobbles all around. Tools for various uses and over the air came an upbeat tune. In all honesty, the atmosphere was more like a county fair than any sort of camp of exiles.

Alexandra's eyes went wide with wonder as she looked mostly at the flora she was seeing. Some of the flowers and plants she saw would be beautiful in her gardens back at the temple. Maybe before she left she could acquire a number of specimens that could help her better study and use them. "Vulpesen, when we are done with this whole war business, you are showing my around the culture of your parents... and if you can't im sure your mother would be a great guide."

"That sounds like a great plan to me." He wrapped an arm and his tail around her as they walked, his golden eyes surveying the area. Making his way to one booth, he marveled at a vendor of weapons and jewelry. It was an odd combination but some of the pieces still seemed indistinguishable of whether they were a weapon or a bobble. Reaching forth, he took permission from the saleslady to pick up what seEmed to be a gen encrusted claw which easily fit over his index finger. "Interesting." After a moment of staring at the object, he jumped as he felt something latch to his tail, turning to see a man attach a sort of blade. It was a sales pith obviously, and Vulpesen was thankful he caught it, lest he buy the beautiful object right then and there. Finally catching on, he took another look, seeing that each piece of jewelry somehow translated into a kind of weapon. "Elegance, beauty, and ferocity. All in one."
