To the beginning.

The zorren growled and kept his claws extended. "Surrender now, and I'll consider not killing you." It was a harsh saying, but one that would certainly be backed with action. Ferin hoped that Alexandra now realized the need for secrecy and there was no way he could allow these men to make it out of the woods alive. It was either surrender or die with no other option. Except for kill both the guide and the guided.

"So violent so violent, sheesh..." She looked at the first man and smiled as she started to put on her act, her original words having been little more than a whisper. "H-help, he was taking my to a camp in the north, you have to help me." She grinned wide once she was close enough and her outer robe dropped and her sabers caught the sunlight. "Oppps, guess i lied." The found her hands and she was close enough to the first of five. removing his arms and kicking him into a tree before he could react by firing. Good thing about these mercs, unlike the rest of those in the galaxy, they weren't using slugthrowers for once.

Ferin watched as the man screamed in pain before being launched away. "One way to do it." Leaping forward, he extended his claws to rip through the throat of one of the bandits, aiming to attack while their shock was still in effect. "They cannot escape." He let out a growl as a blaster bolt sailed next to his head, causing him to dive and take cover behind a tree while one of the three remaining focused on pinning him down with a steady stream of blaster fire.

"Of all the times when i need my damn force abilities..." She glanced at the moving mass in her robes and grinned as she sent a silent message to Daeda, who shot from her robes and into the bushes, meanwhile she looked at the furthest man and burst from her own cover, sending bolts that came her way and threatened her to the ground, not worrying about sending them back. And as the man turned to leave he would catch razer sharp teeth in his leg, causing him to collapse before Alex was on him, a quick cut removing his legs and his hands. Only then would she now be the one pinned down by blaster fire, hoping the Zorren was ready to move before she was overwhelmed.

Ferin found himself continuously caught by the incoming fire, unable to fight for several moments. "Sorry Miss, I'm pinned do-" He was cut off as the firing stopped and a shout could be heard as his attacker screamed in pain, a small glowing blue form clinging to his neck. Now freed from his persecution, Ferin left his hiding spot and charged the last man, not bothering to ask who his savior was. Once he reached the last of the hunters, it was a quick matter to cripple him with a slash to the leg. "Miss, remember those trees I told you about?" He reached down and picked the man up, an unusual strength being displayed in his youthful form. "Here they are." He hurled the man at a single tree from which several root like tendrils left the bast of the trunk to drag him close until an arm like appendage separated for the wood to hit him in the back. Within a moment the helpless victim had been paralyzed and dragged up to the top of the plant. "Nasty things they are."

Alexandra watched them and shook her head at the tree. "That is not right... weren't we just standing against those trees for cover..." She watched and shivered, her eyes unable to leave the sight she had just seen. She could not get over it though at the fact of what the tree had just done to the man. Then she noticed that the two she dispatched were still alive, crippled but alive. "I think we should take those two prisoner, they would be better use alive then tree food."

Ferin shook his hand and licked a bit of the blood from his claws, as if to rid himself of the filth of his kill. "No, I made sure we avoided those ones. Believe me, had we been hiding against those, it wouldn't take us long to figure out what they were. At least, not me that is." He walked over to the dismembered man and shook his head. "Even a bandit does not deserve this suffering." With a powerful kick, he killed the limbless enemy but turned to the one who had at least kept his legs. "Perhaps we can take him though, and maybe..." He turned to see his earlier attacker only to see blood flowing from his neck at the feet of a familiar blue Ashlan wolf. "Very well. Seems we will only have one prisoner. Miss Alexandra, would you happen to know this creature. He bears a remarkable resemblance to your own companion."

"I do... and with him nearby a certain fox faced moron cant be far behind... Ace, where is Vulps." She looked at the ashlan and waited for what ever answer to be transferred back to her through Daeda, the white ashlan appearing up on her shoulder as she knelt down beside Ace, making sure the bandit was dead and even then and just in case she ignited her blade into his heart. Once done her eyes would return to Ace, her smile kind and the seriousness of combat gone from her. She did hate how the other four of the five had to die, but for now the one would have to do. At least they arent just innocent natives of the planet, after Csilla she was done attacking the innocent.

Ace shook his head and went through the relay. "Vulpesen merely sent me to make sure you didn't get yourself killed. Giid thing too, considering what I just did." He leaped to Alexandra's shoulder and gave a polite bow of his head to Ferin. "And you might want to explain to the Zorren that we're talking. He looks rather confused."

"Te- oh right. Ferin, this is Ace, he is Vulpesen's Ashlan companion. The Ashlans communicate on a rather.. strange form of telepathy that only works between those of their own race and of their bond mates. The White one's name is Daeda and is my own bond mate, he was originally green but i guess their coats change due to one's force affinity... And i realize most of what i said probably makes about as much sense as me growing a pair of wings and shooting into the sky like a bird."

Ferin shook his head. "No, I think I understand. As for foolish, I have to admit that you just saw me throw a man into a carnivorous tree. So, its not like you're the only one with strange sights." He walked over and petted Ace who moved his head against the hand. Sure he wasn't one to be mistaken for a pet, but he did like it when people scratched him behind the ears. "In any case, I think that perhaps, we should head back."

"Right... who wants to drag our friend with no hand there." She looked at the Mercenary who had finally stopped crying and sighed, offering him a bit of a feeling of comfort so that he would be in less pain. Which immediately she began to also drain away his pain and take it on as her own so that he was even less so burdened by it. She still disliked the man for everything he stood for, but like the Zorren had delivered the mercy blow, she would not let this man suffer more than he had to.

"You walk towards the compound I'll be at your side shortly." Ferin turned and picked up another on of the bodies before throwing it to the tree. "We can't let anyone figure out we were her." After his short explanation he continued to the remaining two bodies. Once they were disposed of, he would pick up the last bandit, place him over his shoulder, and start the trek back to the compound.

She started walking very slowly to the compound, still unnerved by what she had just seen. It was just hard for her to think about that having lived among nature so often as she had, and to think she could not simply just do that here, but she figured that things were likely easier to tell than she gave it credit for. Her eyes would find Ferin though and the still living bandit, happy that not all of them had to die in such a way.

Ferin followed close behind her the bandit having passed out from the pain of his injuries quite a bit ago. "Sorry, not the best way to get a view of a Teradin tree, but now you can see why the bandits don't come through here." He flicked his tail and looked around. "They might be dangerous, but the keep us safe."

"Err right..." She would still be weary and made her way back to the compound, looking between Ace on one shoulder and Daeda on the other and smiling a bit at having the two of them there. Reaching up she scratched behind both their ears with each hand. "Thanks the two of you, without you that would have been a lot harder, especially for me atleast in my state."

Ace nodded and leaned into her hand, his fur puffing up in pleasure as he enjoyed the petting. Ferin on the other hand was in a a slightly worse mood, having been the one who was carrying the unconscious and bleeding bandit on his shoulders. "Well, now you've seen a taste of what we're up against. These men were just a light weight scouting crew. The army of the capitol was infinitely more well armed."

"I can see such... and i can assure you with Vulpesen around and me not holding back, the events of what you just saw is going to be much worse and i hold back in my strikes, though i will point out i would rather wounded over the dead." Her eyes ran over to the Zorren once more and she looked around as she walked and soon they were at the compound, her eyes cast on the wounded man now before pausing and holding up her hand. "Eve, the jammer is still on right..." The AI appeared from a small projector. "Yes, any tracking device on him is jammed and will remain so until i let such things be dropped."

Ferin gave a solemn nod as he heard the last part of her speech. Finally reaching the door of the compound, he turned to face her. "We Zorrens abhor unnecessary deaths. If it were up to us, every single one of those men would be a prisoner. However, if the bandits get so much as a hint that we're were, they'll burn this forest down until they reach and kill all of us. That is why this s the only survivor of the party." He started up a low grade comlink. "Ferin here, we have a man ready for pickup. Requesting entrance to the compound." Once the tree opened for them, Ferrin guided Alexandra in.

Alex would move off a bit from the Zorren, not really out of distrust, but to tell the truth she was really shaken by those trees. She spent her life where she was in the forest for days at a time, where she would be studying and relaxing where she felt safe... that one scene was enough to shake her from that feeling of safety when it came to being in Nature. Which is why she moved for where she last saw Vulpesen, hoping he was still there. It was on thing for her to be scared, she knew how to handle that, but to not feel safe around something she had been around for years... that is what shook her.
