She was late to the area, but she had been loading weapons and armour. She was hoping by giving some free samples of her wares to the local Yutan, they may wish to buy more form her. She need as much money as possible, to rebuild her home, as an immense fort. She also wanted to get ideas form this place, as the more ideas she had the better her fort would become. She also had her standard security detail, as she was always weary of one sith reprisals. Her ship landed in side the fort, and her staff unload the gift to the locals, and she decide to wander the fort, and began looking for military operatives of the republic and Yutan people. She wanted both to get a look at what she was giving them, as it might stir business with her company. Though she was quite aware not everyone trusted her, after all she was in the hands of the one sith for a few years as they ruled alderaan, and her war record was not pubic knowledge. Hence the other reason she had guards with her, in case some tried to attack her for that. She did not want to use her force powers, otherwise people would distrust her more.

The soldier gave her a nod saying "Ready as i'll ever be.." as him and his men went into a formation around the two, making a protective wall.

Kay sighs as [member="Rendom Axel"] and his troops basically kept her from viewing anything as she walked towards the forest for the hike. She could hardly see where she was going as everyone was so tall. Regardless she knew that they were just doing their jobs.

"At ease guys, come on. You're basically off duty. We're just going on a hike through the woods where probably the mist danger that we'll find are flies wanting to suck our blood or lick our sweat. We're not exactly marching through enemy territory, are we?"

Or maybe they were? She couldn't tell. After growing a bit tired of not being able to see much, she slipped inbetween a couple of the soldiers and then quickly moved to be in front of them.

Objective B: Setting up Masked Secure Comms
[1/20]

Ander had been many things in his relatively short life so far. Trained to be a spy, soldier, and assassin by the Nhar'qual, doing missions for them in which he had taken the guise of everything from a delivery man to a politician's aide. After he'd escaped from them, he'd lived and worked as a maintenance engineer for years, then was called back into the darker life when he lost Alexei.

Thinking of her still hurt, and still reminded him of why he was fighting, what his goal was.

He'd been called to go to Yutan. The administration had all but completed refurbishing a system of old forts, centering on one massive fortification to be the command center for the planetary defenses. The planetary defence forces and the Republic military both had offices in the building, they both had communication systems that handled their own networks but could handle the bandwidth of the other in a pinch. What many didn't know, however, was that amid the various military personnel were intelligence operatives in cover as military personnel. Many had been tapped for intel work while still serving in the military, making it a cleaner cover. As part of the intelligence apparatus that was being installed, a third set was being installed. Officially, this third set was set up to be able to handle the bandwidth of both main systems should catastrophic damage occur to both. The system was designed to do random system checks throughout the day, a perfect cover for burst transmissions needed to be sent out.

Now, all Ander had to do was instal it, set up the consoles at those points it was needed to connect to, then he would just need to calibrate the system to piggyback into the normal communications networks. Once that was done, he would have to begin setting up the low tech communications systems that operatives and agents would be using on the planet.

It was not the most glamorous part of intelligence work, but it was necessary.

Elaine saw one of the troopers, doing some comms work. She decide to give him a free Infantry Blaster and few Auxilaery Grenades, and asked him Could you do me honour of having a go with this, and if you like it tel your commanding officer. She then carried on having a walk around the fort, in a quest to find more ideas for her own fortress. Also any other soldiers, who might like her wares, after all this was net working event. She hoped to find a some procurement officers, who she could do a deal with. She needed the money, to help rebuild her home. She would have strongest fort on alderaan, to hep repulse any attempts by the sith to come back.

ZAP!!! ZAP!!! ZAP!!!

A few blaster bolts came from the trees in their direction. Or mostly towards the only one that wasn't protected in armour, Kay. One of them grazed her right arm, searing through her clothes and cutting through her flesh. She ducked down and stepped back in behind [member="Rendom Axel"] and his men. It seemed that they were intruding on someone's territory. She gripped her arm just below the burn as if that would stop the pain and silently cursed herself for being stupid enough to go out in the front. She should have just left things alone and let the soldiers protect her. But nope. She just had to try and have some type of control. Regardless she was going to be sure that none of them got into trouble for this.

Emerging economies made for fantastic smuggling opportunities. They generally weren't trying to trade you dirt anymore and they didn't have the experience or the choice pick of trading partners that made them too picky about things like paperwork or fair market prices. The trick of course was to make your money and scarper before a larger group muscled in and took over, locking down the territory and claiming it for their own.

Governments, I'm looking at you. In a very meaningful sort of way.

Which explained the presence of the Dreas Revenge, as well as why they were hurrying to get their last haul loaded and scarper, not keen on all these new folks who were making their presence known. When a decent sized squad of soldiers started heading their way, they got a bit antsy. Well. I mean [member="Serg Leone"] didn't really, nothing much made that man squirm.

Instead it was decided since the leader of said soldiers wanted to walk out front without armour on, they might as well take the opportunity being handed to them on a golden platter since otherwise the soldiers would literally stumble into the clearing with the ship in just a few minutes anyway. And for amusements sake, and since a few drinks may have been had, it was decided Sunny would take the first shots. Of all the sharpshooters who had ever been on the crew.. Sunny was not one of them. She had the basic point and squeeze down.

Which explained the fairly surprised, "Oh, I hit her!" When one of her shots did in fact graze [member="Lady Kay"]

The distinctive sound of blaster fire could be heard a short distance away from where Serg and the rest of the Drea's crew were hustling to get their haul aboard. The corellian corsair would look towards the treeline that camouflaged the heavily modified freighter from direct visual noting that was the direction he had sent the promiscuous zeltron to patrol. The Yutanian wind whispered through his long blond hair, bristling the two braids and flapping the tails of his great coat behind him. With veteran instincts the Captain would draw both his heavy blaster pistols from their holsters and then looked back to the crew.

"Batten down de 'atches, seems we 'av a storm comin'!" His deep gravely voice commanded, "TIP git 'er fired up!" He would directly order the ship's astromech droid to get the Drea' primed for take off. A few binary squeaks escaped the droid as he rushed up the loading ramp and towards the cockpit.

"those not loadin' cum wi' me!' Simple but direct. The pirate captain would then would rush towards the blaster fire and Sunny, while his beloved ship would spool to life at the TIP's controls. The sound of her engines rearing to life was music to the Captain's ears, what wasn't was the blaster fire he was heading towards. He did not like having intruders posing themselves on his "legit" business operations and such competition should be dealt with swiftly and with out mercy.

Once Kay was tucked away inside the encirclement of troops, the few at the front brought up their blaster rifles and began firing into the trees. Knowing that their target would have moved from her spot, they fired on either side of the tree that they suspected [member="Sunny"] was hiding behind. Of course it was only speculation. The other troops behind Kay brought their rifles up too as they surveyed the area to be sure that they weren't ambushed from behind.

Kay still gripped her arm as she stood inside of the circle, it's formation having tightened up the moment that she was inside. She hated being unable to see around them with their height and their bulky armour. The sounds of the engines firing up somewhere close by echoed through the trees, causing her to look above. Of course there was nothing to see yet as the ship had yet to get airborne.

As one of the troopers ordered that they all fall back, another one quickly called [member="Valkren Calderon"] , gave him their co-ordinates, along with the request of Delta company for reinforcements. Hopefully he would get back to them soon.

Kay clenched her jaw as her arm began to throb. "Can't you guys just fire at random while we make our escape? " Neither of them had any clue as to how many enemies could be out there.

Ander was quite confused when a random woman walked up to him as he was going through the startup screen for the communication relays software. She handed him a rifle and some grenades, imploring him to try them out and report to his CO if he liked them or not. She didn't ask for identification or anything, just handed him weapons and trotted off.

He wished there were more people in the world like this woman, only working for the Republic and not other factions. He shrugged and went back to initializing the communications gear.

The software interface was fairly standard, he had to go through the whole process of setting it up to route specific protocols to specific channels of the Republic net, then set up the encryption on the individual protocols, then secure the protocols behind firewalls and passwords. Once that was all done, he was ready to go into the actual operating system and initialize standard running and lock down access to the inner workings of the routing and switching. If they ever had trouble with this console, it'd have to be an intel person who came to do maintenance, but that was a fairly easy thing to write code that would intercept any maintenance requests for this specific machine.

It made absolute tactical sense to fire at the area around where the shot had come from. Without an entrenched position, any wise attacker would have immediately moved before a bead could be drawn on them. The key word in there was wise. Sure Sunny had been through a bar brawl or two where blasters had been fired, but she was no soldier, she'd not moved in the least.

Which as it turned out, likely saved her life. Still, a noise that could best be described as a cross between a deflating balloon and a distressed mouse, and best spelled as "Eeeee." escaped the Zeltron, who, as shots landed on either side of her, dropped flat to the ground, one hand fumbling for her ever present belt and activating an ever changing and adapting program known as 'camouflage'. Immediately the Zeltron disappeared to the naked eye, covered in an image that very nearly perfectly matched her surroundings.

Of course, if the attacking troops had even slightly above basic sensors, it wouldn't actually help that much, but being nearly shot sometimes made Sunny a little less logical than usual, and since the usual amount was not very great to start with..

Still, she'd not been out there alone, the patrol Serg had sent her with, even two sheets to the wind (not four, they were still professionals, that profession just happened to be piracy), were finding cover and returning fire, ensuring that those back at the ship heard the engagement and knew to put a proper hustle on.

Things were heating up.

One arm over the top of her head, the Zeltron squeezed off a few more shots fairly haphazardly. They were aimed at the enemy in a rough sense and none of her own crew was between her and were she was firing, that was good enough for her.

Laser fire was almost everywhere. At least it was just coming and going in two directions. The soldiers gave her enough cover to go back towards the Fortress where she had come from.

Kay moved quickly down the path, still gripping her wounded arm. She needed some bacta or time to heal herself. For the moment she had neither of those things. So much for a simple hike up the mountains.

Some of the soldiers stayed behind and pressed forward towards [member="Sunny"] and the crew with her.

It had been three weeks since Arsix had last been seen active. When the news came that Ella Nova had finally been found by Jedi Master [member="Mantic Dorn"], the astromech had been elated. It was by the order of Master Dorn that the droid had even been brought to Yutan, aware of the significance that the little astromech could play in revealing what had happened to the Jedi Knight.

But what Arsix had found, when he arrived at the gathering on Yutan, was a shell of the woman he had called Master. It was strange to think that a droid could ever feel depression- or sadness on any level- but the best description to describe what had happened to Arsix.

Just like Ella, Arsix became completely unresponsive to those who tried to interact with him. When an engineer came to investigate why the droid was no longer working, the results came back then there was nothing wrong with Arsix; and yet he continued to be still, unflinching, unyielding.

"It's shut itself down. I really don't know what else to say," said the engineer at the time. "The R-6 models were always a bit iffy. If I were you, I would scrap it. The newer astromechs are much more reliable."

But Arsix hadn't been scrapped. Left in the corner of the same tent that Ella was being kept in, Master Dorn and the other Jedi left them be. After all, the Republic's activities on Yutan were far more important. Neither were going anywhere. It was decided that when both were brought back to Chazwa, their futures would be decided for them. To see if either could be salvaged and saved from whatever it was that made them this way could be determined later on.

Summertime. The moment of the year where it was the warmest, happiest and shiniest. For the Jedi that had came to Yutan, it had been a brief and surreal moment of time away from the larger picture. The war with the One Sith was not over, and if there had been a reminder of that, it had been when a lost Jedi Knight had finally been found.

Eyes closed, hands held out to her sides and fingers spread to almost capture that warmth, Ella Nova stood bare foot in the middle of the field, where Mantic had taken her. She found herself unfamiliar with her surroundings or how she had gotten here. But she was finally awake and the first choice she made for herself was stand outside and feel again.

It was a welcoming and rewarding experience to feel the Force again. For someone gifted with the natural ability to feel and commune with the energy that intertwined itself in all fabrics of life, to lose that connection for an extended amount of time, was almost like dying.

Although the last passage of the Jedi Code stated that there is no death, only the Force, losing the ability to feel and enter the Netherworld of the Force was a journey that no Jedi could take. Ella only had to look at her Jedi Master, [member="Sochi Ru"], for evidence that, yes, a Jedi could become lost in the murky depths of the dark side, as she had been.

Rebuilding herself would take time and it began with feeling again. To feel the summertime and enjoy the Yutan tranquility, that Master Dorn had brought her too, was the beginning. Alone with her thoughts and the torment [member="Darth Vornskr"] had given to her, deep in the Black Pyramid, had borne a decision.

Ella had decided. She was still a Jedi. She was learn to let go of the pain, with guidance from the Force. As it had guided her during her recovery from the Battle of Coruscant, it would guide her now.

Deep within his subroutines, Arsix was still on. And he was waiting. He would wait for the rest of his life, if he had too. He was waiting for Ella to come back. Deep within himself, the little astromech replayed memories. He had started with the first time he had met Ella. It had been during the days he had served Elis Fer, the Corellian smuggler, who had been running a smuggling operation in and out of Coruscant.

It had been during the days when Coruscant was still apart of the Galactic Republic. Smuggling spice in and out of the undercity had been difficult, but Arsix had been a loyal companion of Elis since he had first come online. He didn't have an opinion of right or wrong. He just did what he was told.

But Elis had run into a bit of trouble on that particular day. The shootout between the Corellian and a gang of Zabraks, who called themselves the Toothes, had gained the attention of Jedi Master Sochi Ru and her Padawan learner. Arsix wouldn't learn until later on that the Jedi had been investigating Elis' smuggling operation, as far back as the smugglers moon, Nar Shaddaa, as part of the Republic's efforts to quell the Black Sun Syndicate.

When Sochi and Ella showed up, the Toothes ran one way and Elis the other way. But it was the latter the Jedi were after, not some small time gang and so they caught up to the Corellian. In Elis' defence, Arsix had drawn his stun baton on Sochi, but before he could attack, there was little Ella Nova, standing in his way. Perhaps it was a malfunction in his subroutines- he wasn't sure to this day- but Arsix couldn't bring himself to attack the small Human.

Detained and brought in for questioning, Sochi wanted Arsix to be memory wiped, stating that he was too dangerous. After all, the astromech had worked for a drug smuggler for over thirty years, by the time Elis Fer had finally been caught. But Ella saw it differently, stuck up for the astromech and the rest was history.

It was the third time that Arsix had thought of that particular memory, going through significant file he had on memory about Ella as the weeks had gone by. Every time he finished cycling through one, he powered up just enough to scan, to see if Ella was still there or not, before powering down again. So, when he scanned the tent at that moment, Arsix shrieked as he powered up and rolled forward to check where the Jedi Knight had disappeared too.

9/20

Arsix bolted out of the tent, blowing raspberries and moaning loudly, calling out for the Jedi. But he could not see her. Nearly toppling over at the pace he rolled forward at, the astromech darted away from the tent, intent to scan the ends of Yutan until he found her.

The field that Jedi Master Mantic Dorn had taken them too was surrounded by trees, secluded and only a kilometer away from where the rest of the Jedi had set up camp. As Arsix moved through the trees, leaving behind the field that the tent stood in to enter the forest, he wondered if the Jedi had come in, taken Ella and left him behind. The thought made Arsix blow an angry raspberry, as he continued his search.

10/20

Ella finally opened her eyes, to look at the skyline. She was met with the most beautiful blue sky she had ever seen. She felt happy. Elated. Joyful. All at the prospect that she was free. The Force flowed through her and it's power was almost akin to being drunk. It then dawned on her. She was getting carried away. That was she forgetting who she was.

A Jedi is calm, controlled and centered, Ella thought, reminding herself. You can do this. Just take a deep breath.

Slowly, she lowered her hands behind to her sides and looked down from the sky, lowering herself down into the grass. She hadn't noticed it before, but she was still wearing the same undergarments she had worn beneath her Jedi robe, when she had went to confront Vornskr. She decided that when she found Master Dorn, she would thank him for helping her and then find somewhere to wash and clean herself before finding new robes to wear, so that she could be dignified once more.

But before all of that, Ella needed to do something that she hadn't done in months. The Force Cage that Vornskr had trapped her in hadn't allowed the Jedi to perform the Meditation of Emptiness, one of the five meditations all Jedi were taught to do per day, because without the Force, it was next to impossible to perform it.

It was almost like a plea to the Force, every time Ella had tried to empty her mind and purge emotions from herself, but it hadn't come. The droids that had tortured Ella when Vornskr was away on business had been relentless and their Master had been far worse. Merciless in his exercise, Vornskr's objective had been to break Ella Nova and he had succeeded.

As she settled into her meditation, Ella came to the realization that she didn't remember how she had escaped the Black Pyramid. Concentrating on finding the means to her escape, she would then purge the emotions that it bore out of herself through the Force.

11/20

Settling into the Meditation of Emptiness, Ella begun to shift through events, whilst looking for the Force for comfort. A room, accompanied by a faint, blue light. My cell and the stasis field, thought Ella. Bleeping, computer- no, droid sounds- as well as faint hissing and the sound of a drill. Vornskr's torture droids. Torturing... Me.

Feeling with the Force, Ella was swarmed with anxiety, fear and pain. Sweat drenched the Jedi's body, as she fought to stay in control. A soothing sensation overcame her, as she pushed aside the emotions in place of the natural pull of the Force.

A hallway, with yellow lights overhead. Someone talking. Mullarus? No... Someone else. Perhaps Vaulkhar? Concentrating on the voice, Ella still couldn't make it out. Who are you? Reaching out with the Force, Ella tried to recall. But she was met by a blank. She couldn't remember who. But she felt like they had helped her. Helped me to escape? she wondered to herself.

"I can't... Remember." Her own voice made herself come out of the meditation. As her eyes opened, Ella looked around to see that day time had turned to night. I must have been here for hours. Rising up to her feet, her legs pained her, stiff and sore from being crossed together for hours. Gingerly making her way down from the hill she had been sitting on, Ella planned to make her way back to the tent, only to discover that things looked differently than they had done during the day.

Uh oh. I don't know where I am.
