Two coronations and a wedding

The big day has arrived. From that point onward Jessica will be known as a Jedi Princess, much like one [member="Junko Ike"]. By now she has inherited all of her former boss' titles and positions: CEO of Ringovinda StarYards and Senator of the Techno Empire. She did so because Charzon committed serious crimes on Korriban and the Butcher of Korriban will soon stand trial. But for the time being, because she was on Ringo Vinda when the crimes happened, she had no involvement in it. Oh, she would love to see that childhood face in front of all three Jedi Princesses in service. But Julie couldn't serve as the maid of honor, even though she attends the ceremony because she was a guest on Jessica's side. And Marcia, too. Jessica couldn't help but think that Charzon would be able to watch Jessica's coronation as a princess and her wife as queen: it was broadcasted by Taking Off on a Star Tour. It was Jessica's idea to hold both coronations (hers and Summer's) and the wedding at the same time. The newlyweds both wore Contessa-made dresses in what will be a same-sex wedding for the ages.

"Your Royal Highness, why did you make the decision of getting crowned and wed at the same time?" Marcia asked.

"Coronations cost almost the same as royal weddings - it's a cost-saving measure"

Today was the day... Summer's heart was pounding, they had been over this ceremony so many times it wasn't real but now that it was here it seemed unreal. She was about to become Queen and marry the love of her life. She would look out the window onto the snow covered land of her planet. Glyss was so beautiful this time of year. She would then look down at her beautiful gown. It was shorter than the average wedding gown but she loved it. She would look in the mirror and check herself over. She would be wearing the tiara that marked her as a princess. Soon she would trade this for the Crown of the Queen. Just the thought of that had her heart racing but what made it even better was the fact she was about to marry the love of her life and see her Coronation

The droid looked over himself in a mirror, he was invited to the wedding not just as a guest but a bridesmaid, he wasn't technically a male since he lacked genitals, so all they had to do was put him in a dress, of a very specific color as dictated by the brides' planner, and he was good to go, for once lacking his usual outer armor, just him in his pale almost skeletal Phrik body, clad in the dress and Abregado-Rae sash to mark him as a delegate of the planet.

He turned about to check how his metal ass looked in the dress,

"This is one of the weirder things I have done."

He muttered to himself. The droid then adjusted his voice, raising it in pitch and making it sound feminine,

"Show time."

And he walked out of his room to find the bride-to-be.

Knocking on the door before he opened it he would look at Summer,

"Are you ready, dearie?"

When [member="Summer Sovereign"] had asked her to serve as a bridesmaid, Lady Ajira Cardei had been somewhat taken aback. She knew the younger woman a little, or at least had associates in common, but they weren't especially close. A political measure, perhaps: one could usually benefit from closer ties with the noble houses of Naboo.

Admittedly, the bridesmaid dress left something to be desired. Oh, the tailoring was on point and so forth, but it wasn't Naboo regalia by any stretch of the imagination. It was very clearly the sort of dress one assigns to one's bridesmaids.

Ajira had concealed a hold-out blaster in the small of her back, beneath some kind of ruffle or bow or whatever. Royal weddings, after all, had a tendency to go awry. And since she'd gone to great lengths to conceal her training and strength in the dark side of the Force, a mundane means of defense would have to do.

Glyss, a frozen planet in the Unknown Regions. Jessica never went on the planet of which she was to become a princess. Almost at the other end of the galaxy compared to Geonosis, with Ringo Vinda as a midpoint for such a trip. While the Wookiee-sized princess-to-be will soon have Summer's old tiara, Jessica will soon wear her magnificent wedding dress for what will surely be a major event in her life: her wedding as a princess. She will have her own quarters as a princess soon enough. A big difference from the planets where she spent the last six years of her life: she spent most of her time on either Dulvoyinn, Geonosis or Ringo Vinda, which were all rather hot planets. Despite her size, and stockiness of her body build, she still trembles when it is cold. She could always use pyrokinesis to heat herself up but then she will be lighting up. But only on Glyss will she be addressed as Her Royal Highness or Her Majesty, as Princess Consort of Glyss. As the royal carriage (even though it isn't actually a carriage) bringing Jessica to the ceremony venue arrived at her location...

"The royal carriage is almost there, Your Highness"

"I am ready now"

Summer would look over at the droid and smile hearing the change in its voice and loving it "Yes I am thank you." She would smile and make her way for the royal carriage that would have just arrived bringing her bridesmaids with her as she took her seat. She would shake a bit. She had lived on this planet her whole life but she still shook

Lady Cardei adjusted her bridesmaid dress and entered the carriage-that-wasn't-a-carriage, following the happy couple and a much-adorned HK unit. At least the inside of the carriage was somewhat warm. In a former life, by another face and name, she could have controlled her body temperature with the Force, but Lady Cardei didn't have access to those skills. Not publicly, anyway, and you never knew who might sense something like that. Instead, she just bore with the goosepimple cold like she was back on Ilum or Iceball or Belsavis or the Spires of Hell.

She paused on the step of the carriage, squinting around. With her Force presence expertly nullified, her senses were diminished, and they'd never been that great to begin with. The naked eye revealed nothing serious or suggestive.

Still, the Unknown Regions were deeply unsafe. Anything could happen, especially at a double coronation and royal wedding. She was here representing Naboo, but she'd turned down the RNSF's offer of protection. Just about now, she regretted it a little. There was something on the wind...

She entered the carriage last and closed the door behind her.

The droid nodded to [member="Summer Sovereign"], walking with her and other bridesmaids to the carriage, the machine would nod to [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] in greeting once he spotted her and sit opposite to [member="Ajira Cardei"] once inside. Putting his hand on Summer's shoulder when he saw her shake he would whisper,

"It is going to be alright."

As he calculated just how big the odds for Sith crashing the party were. The droid did hide his lightsaber somewhere among the hems and frills of his dress, although he did not exactly needed it, he had both guns and blades built into him, along with a stray flamethrower, and he was made from one of the sturdiest materials known to galactic civilization, he could always just shield others with his body if he needed to.

The machine only hoped that [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] weren't going to be there to see him like that.

[member="Summer Sovereign"] | [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] | [member="HK-36"] | [member="Ajira Cardei"]

Right before Cardei shut the door another figure jumped into the carriage-not-carriage.

It was a bird. More specifically it was a Thirriken - more popularly referred to as 'Space Peacock' - and this one was finely groomed. Beautiful feathers arranged in distracting, but attractive colors, clad in the most alluring of silk fabrics and with bright, bright eyes shining as he stood there watching. For a brief moment the Lord Fa studied all the assembled individuals, before promptly pushing himself off the floor and gracefully settling himself down on Cardei's lap.

The feather-light weight bounced a bit on her legs, before settling himself in a comfortable position.

"Bouncy laps please well.
Thanks to you, Lady Cardei.
Class of royalty."
Perhaps they would assume that he was Ajira's plus one or perhaps a pet, but an especially pretty one at that.

Herr Vanderhing stood at the back end of the ceremony, far away from the alter. He stood with an entourage of Neimoidians behind him with Genf Orkay to his right side as well as two battle droid bodyguards next to him due to his paranoia. He wore extravagant black and red fur robes with a matching miter with a beautiful blue feather at the tip. He had a gold cane in his right hand to help him walk. Genf Orkay wore beautiful turquoise blue and white robes with a matching miter for his robes.

Jessica's carriage-not-carriage was to follow Summer's carriage and, because she was to become a Princess Consort, she was given less amenities than the Queen, her wife-to-be. Nevertheless, she was given a specially-decorated stair truck, like those used by news crews or spaceports. Hence the "not-carriage" part of Jessica's carriage, painted by several intellectually-deficient artists for the occasion. The end result is a little crude, unrefined, but as a Jedi she had to give the benefit of the doubt to the downtrodden. Actually it was Jessica's request for her to have the carriage painted by such people. She sat at the passenger side, front row, of the royal carriage, with the two bridesmaids sitting in the back row of the stair truck: Marcia and Julie. Meaning that Jessica would have to go out first and then fellow board members Marcia and Julie. They have almost arrived at the ceremony's location. There was a light snowfall...

"Wait for my signal to get out: here the bride goes first and the bridesmaids afterward"

"Roger, roger" both Marcia and Julie said in unison.

[member="Herr Vanderhing"] [member="Tai Fa"] [member="Summer Sovereign"] [member="HK-36"] [member="Ajira Cardei"]

Summer would sit in the Carriage and smile ready to get this on. She would run through the plan with her bridesmaids. "So what is gonna happen when we get up is I shall exit and make my way to the ready room. When I exit wait a moment then follow me, we shall wait until i get the signal from the planner. you will then take your seats near the front of the chapel then the Coronation shall happen and I will take the throne. Then Jessica will be coronated and take her place next to me. Then you both shall move to take your place as we stand and take our places at the alter" As she said this they would arrive on the scene. The Carriage would stop and Summer would step out into the light snow and make her way up the steps with flashes of camera's and news crews reporting

Two coronations and a wedding. How cost efficient. The young Mandalorian woman stood in the front entrance of the grand temple, watching the other guests file in. They were chatting pleasantly. Excitement filled the air. Cerasi had mixed feelings. She wasn't a normal guest, the hostess and the future princess had hired her Clan to act as security. That was the main reason she was here. But when she was getting ready, staring at herself in the mirror, feeling naked without her armour, she couldn't help but feel something more than duty. To blend in better, the Shado clan had been asked to dress formally, as if they were invited guests. And when Cerasi saw herself every mirror she passed, she felt a thrill of excitement. She couldn't think about her own wedding day. She hadn't been engaged yet, but every girl thinks about her wedding at some point in her life.

She was dressed in a little blue dress; classy, but not enough to upstage the bride and princesses. It was short enough to reach her knees, and it was adorned with small glittering gemstones around the bodice, and a black sash wrapped around her waist to tie behind her back in a bow. Her hair was pinned up in a bun, the light blue strands curled in ringlets. It was all topped off with a flower pin.

When the bird, [member="Tai Fa"], jumped into the carriage right before the door closed, the droid jerked, immediately bringing his leg up and tensing it like a spring, aiming for the Space-Peacock,

"Chit, a bird!"

The machine exclaimed, as he was seemingly hellbent on literally kicking Tai Fa out, whether that would be stopped by the carriage's door or not. It was when Tai Fa settled on lap belonging to [member="Ajira Cardei"] that HK understood it was only a pet or something along those lines.

"Right."

He relaxed, putting his foot back down,

"Sorry, I have a thing about birds."

HK looked aside, out of the carriage,

"I do not want to talk about it."

It probably had something to do with the droid living on a planet where most of the creatures were weirdly avian, like Nocur, the Owl-Bears, or leovi, flying creatures large enough, and which may or may not have done so already, to pick the droid up and carry him off to attempt and feed on him.

When Summer explained the plan, the droid looked back to her, paying full attention before nodding in agreement,

"Roger-roger."

He let her know he understood.

When the carriage arrived the droid would wait inside once Summer stepped out, waiting for a moment before following behind the queen-to-be.

Outside, as he awaited for the carriages to arrive, Michael was as chief adviser of security, in disguise. Never had the merc ever worn something as fancy as the tux he now found himself in. It's black threads fitting his muscular body in all the right places as his hands were clasped behind his back to greet the bride [member="Summer Sovereign"]. The Sovereign woman had hired clan Shado as discrete bodyguards, and security while the wedding took place. Many of his best men, and women were already inside, preparing foods, setting tables, making sure reserved spots were given to their rightful owners. His second in commands were also here, acting as mere guests to the wedding, while Michael pretended to be just a man with a lot of money who could afford to be able to drink the booze that Summer was going to offer later...she was going to offer some later, right?

His black hair matched the tux, bringing out the blue in his eyes, while the hint of snow that touched his face prickled the scars that shifted from his lip down, and the one that could be found from the corner of his eyes to across his cheek. Apart from those blemishes, Michael was a pretty handsome young man, but others probably saw him as a brute with the scars. His metallic hand was the only indication he was missing an arm, opting not to get the synth skin for it as it would make a great conversation piece later on. The clan's job was to make sure everything went without a hitch, and at any point that something seemed off, he, or any one of his many Mandalorian commandos were to act upon it.

Each one of them had a small hidden communication's device that was stuck in their ear in a clear color so that no eyes could see it. It transmitted through wireless to a speaker that was attached to the collars, bows, and various other things that were close to the neck, and could pick up even the slightest vibrations of the voice.

All this time, as he watched a carriage pull up, knowing that it was Summer, Michael wondered what Cerasi, and Jezza looked like in their dresses. He had bet his vod were beautiful young ladies outside their armor, and in something a little more feminine. Not saying that he felt they needed to be like that, they were perfectly fine in their iron skins, but curiosity had a way of making one wonder.

"Alright, the heat is here. Everyone double check to make sure you know what your roles are, keep your weapons hidden, and holstered until I give the okay to act. And, remember, you are allowed to have fun, acting it best when it is natural. We got a lot riding on our backs here, show time people. Make me proud vod."

Among the crowd of crazy paparazzi, no one would hear him barely murmur the words to the mic that was hidden well underneath his tie.

And such a clucking there was, some of it even from the bird, as a white-plumed Thirriken plopped onto her lap. Ajira tilted her head, then petted the bird's wing mechanically. There seemed noting to be done. "Comfort and shelter, gifts to all who may need them, but this lap is mine," she murmured.

The bride gave her final instructions, and Ajira complied. As the carriage drew to a halt, the bride exited. Ajira removed the Thirriken from her lap and followed. She entered the ceremonial building -- place of worship? Of government? -- and took her place in the assigned seating by the front of the well-filled coronation chamber. She had little doubt that the Thirriken would tag along.

Now all that remained was to embrace situational awareness and wait for Summer Rose Sovereign's coronation as queen of Glyss. Ajira, a longtime battle leader, spotted various low-profile security personnel here and there. Enough to handle most kinds of threat, ideally, though as threats scaled, so did necessary weapons, and thus collateral damage.

It was Jessica's turn to arrive and make to the ready room of the venue, where she is to be on standby until Summer's coronation is complete, and then it will be Jessica's turn. The planner's signal will come assuredly after her wife-to-be will get the crown on her own head. She was entitled to only two bridesmaids due to cost-cutting measures put in place by Jessica in person. Marcia and Julie followed both of them behind Jessica as soon as her carriage-not-carriage arrived over to the marriage venue. She was a little disappointed that Junko couldn't come to Glyss, not even as a Silver Jedi representative - that Jessica herself was no longer a part of - she would have loved to see Junko's face upon seeing that genius of a princess right next to her and actually be considered a princess. Oh, for sure, she liked Junko better as a person than she did some of these Jedi healers (in particular, that Jedi Healer that wanted no point-defense on the Triage-class under whom she conducted the second Force-sensitivity test: Cathul proved to be a much more compatible person with respect to Jessica despite her shortcomings as a therapist)

"Now is time to face the media and the people of Glyss!"

"I witness union.
Fancy, this moment might be.
Doubts linger heavy."
The Lord of House Fa remarked after arriving on the scene and taking his place right next to Ajira. It was quite good that as the bridesmaid the Lady of Naboo had the best seats in town - arguably even better than the main participants of the event themselves, mostly because it meant they could simply watch, instead of partaking themselves.

It was good, because it meant that Fa did not have to climb his way across Cardei's arm to her shoulder, to be able to see what was going on.

The Thirriken started humming to himself slightly.

Summer would make it to the ready room. Her tiara would shine on her head. She was ready for this. She had dreamed of this her whole life. Her heart was racing as she waited for the signal. Then she would get it. In her ear she had an earpiece, it would click to life and the planner would come on and say "The sparrow is flying" That was her que. She would start from the ready room, she would make it to the main room and the doors were opened to her and she would step through and start down the isle
