“Acolyte Farah,” The trooper insisted with a distinct note of urgency in his voice. “Forgive me for questioning you, but this does not seem—“

“Oh, can it with the formalities.” Sitting on the muddy ground, the Zeltron was busy scanning yet another sample she’d taken. This one would go into a DNA library of sorts, so even if they lost the samples they had they’d be able to have its fingerprint of sorts. Scientists were thorough by nature, paranoid about messing things up so they tended to cover all of their bases at least twice. “I’m not going to electrocute you or anything.”

Probably because she hadn’t learned how yet, but still.

Suddenly a puff of flame sprouted from the small well in the ground. “Yeouch!” Farah jerked her hand back, pouting with pain and irritation.

“Are you alright?” The trooper asked tentatively, leaning forward. He wasn’t sure how to treat her now.

“I’ll live.” She grunted, storing the last sample away in the durasteel box before standing. “I didn’t know they could do that.” The doctor cast a wary gaze at the flickering flames. “Interesting.” A shrug followed.

The trooper hesitated before speaking up. “What is it supposed to do?”

“It’s a bacteria that supposedly feeds off of the life force of organics.” She didn’t go into detail as to why she wanted it, given that there were a whole host of options for a Sith when it came to life sucking bacteria. “It’s very rare. I’ve only read one encounter for it and it was very vague, so I’m surprised to see that it actually exists.” A good way to get Farah talking was to show an interest, however mild, in her work.

A pause. “Do you think the Jedi know about this?”

“Doubtful.” She wiped her gloved hands on the pants of her suit. “I’m sure they would have quarantined the area if they knew. It has the potential to be very dangerous and I can’t think of anything off of the top of my head that can kill it.” The Acolyte gestured to the surprise bonfire. “Besides that.”

The closer he got, the stronger the pull of the force toward a person oozing with the darkside, the others he could sense their existence but no affiliation to the mighty power of the universe but never underestimate that. They are soldiers and well trained by the looks of them. They were not a unit of men he recognised, certainly not Silver Jedi, but he was surprised by their lack of threat toward him as he walked into their camp as bold as brass. Then he heard the man speak, appear before him and it was only now did he recognise anything about this scenario .. Durin. A man he had encountered in his youth so many years ago on Midvinter, a hunter and warrior and from memory, no presence in the force so it was very odd to Théo he could sense him now. Sith at that.

There could be many reasons for this of course, the truth of it Théo had no knowledge of after all, his parents do not delight in singing praise in battle to their children. Théo's brows pulled together, the words falling from his mouth not very enticing to him. "Good to see you well Durin", he said eyeing the troops around him. "If that is your real name". Théo would remain on high alert, he did not know this man well only meeting him the once and this situation could turn in an instant.

"Your options are not very appealing to me", he began. Kashyyyk was far from lost as far as he was concerned, and it was clear Durin did not know much of the Silver Jedi. Not enough to know they would rebuild if the need arose because they never give up. He would not waste words on the matter, but, "I don't follow you anywhere. You would be hard pressed to count the number of people I do follow on one hand .. you are not among them".

The situation did turn in an instant.

The calling had been answered. The powerful presense of another approached, revealed to them and Théo turned toward the sound of breaking branches and his eyes met with a most amazing sight. A dragon like creature of which he had never seen before this day. It was the most impressive beast he had witness. The rider however could writhe in turmoil in the deepest depths of Hades for all he cared. But Théo stood to listen to the exchange between Durin and this woman, clearly there was history which matter very little to Théo, what did was the fact she and her hordes where present on Kashyyyk.

The beast turned it's head to leave, "I will not follow you, but will stand beside you to fight this day .. and if this is to be, I want to know the name of the man I fight with". Seems he has several and there was no time to find out how he knew his father.

"Aye, need buddies at times like this." He said, looking out towards the beach where smoke could be seen to rise even from where they were at Silver Rest. Their attackers had certainly not put any holds on their assault, that was for sure. Though from what he heard, things were going well at the beach so far. But Dusaro doubted that this was all the enemy had in store. "I am not sure that is right either though. They have not hit anything important yet, or gotten close." Dusaro thought on it, but he just did not have the information at hand to make a strategic call on the situation. Realizing this he let it dropped and focused on the moment instead, keeping tuned into battle comms just in case.

"Rangers would be a different task force. They would go just by 'Rangers', at least they have in my experience. No i am not quite sure who these guys are.. Maybe a local force?" Certainly not a group he had heard from elsewhere. "Ah, right, that was your mothers profession.. Its been so long since i have been around people in that profession, i forget on occasion." Dusaro said with a wry look as Sky gave him a 'bow' to lead the way. "Don't you get coy with me." He remarked with a bemused tone before heading to the sector at a running pace. It would not take them long to arrive but things around them had continued to progress. Matsu's battlemeditation kicked in and this would mark the third time Dusaro had come under the influence of it. It was not quite a feeling he could describe or put into words, but the former MercMan could certainly agree it was helpful. It gave a certain kind of sense of the battlefield, how things were progressing and where.

They would arrive at a rally point where there were forty wookies, all impressively armed and armored. "So it was a Nightsalker platoon.." Dusaro said with a rare tone of surprise. He had heard of them before, but had never caught the name of the unit itself. So that is who the Second SOG was. "I am HandyMan, this is Sky. So they have us on reserve to deal with any surprise threats i take it?" Given the rather 'specialized' nature of both Dusaro, Sky and the Nightstalkers themselves, they were to be on hold for now. After a moment a voice would patch in over the comms and confirm that theory. "That is affirmative HandyMan. Hurry up and wait." The Major said, Dusaro not able to hide the annoyed look that crept up on his face from that. Unluckily for them though they did not get much time to hurry up and wait as only moments later the news of the 'Golden Companies' apperance made its way across the comms, along with their attack on the Wookiees home of Kachirho. Dusaro's gut reaction was filled with anger and resentment at the attack, but also a form of twisted amusement. 'You shouldn't have done that.' A single look at the Nightstalker platoon was enough to show where that twisted amusement came from. Angry wookiees were never a happy sight to see. And these were skilled, angry wookiees. "Major, requesting permission to deploy in defense of Kachirho with this Platoon." It would only be a few moments before his request would be approved and they would be directed to a landing pad which had five gunships docked, plenty to take the group of forty two to Kachirho. A certain kind of glint appeared in Dus's eye as he quickly headed to the gunships, boarding up and taking off with Sky and the platoon.

As they flew through the canopy, they could hear the dull sounds of battle in the distance. For a single corvette, it sure made a lot of noise. Smoke rose from the city and all sorts of feelings were able to be felt in the force. Dusaro's already sharp force senses were also behind enhanced by battle meditation, it made the scene just that more vivid and easy to grasp. Still looking forward to their destination, Dusaro spoke without turning his head to Sky. "Are you ready to do battle? The stage is perfect, though whether that is by design or their foolhardy mistake we shall see." He asked, unabl eto quite hide the drawn back, feirce look on his face as he spoke. From what he gathered, the enemy was more a small specalized unit rather then a large force. Properly managed it would be nasty to deal with. Which meant they would have to be just as nasty in return. For now Dusaro was coming up with broader, general counter tactics while keeping his finger on the pulse of the Golden Companies movements from what reports they had coming in.

The battle raged on, the battlefield having turned the waters red with blood and the sand blackened and spotted with glass. It was all so...beautiful. The once lush forests and brilliant beaches of Kashyyyk were all slowly being reduced to cinders as the two forces clashed with one another in a battle of attrition. Where the Silver Jedi had made a bold move by throwing everything they have at the Sith forces, Vexen had yet to reveal his hand. Everything that had played out thus far was to be expected, and most of his assets had been deployed on the field with the addition of [member="Koda Fett"] having been hired by the Empire to assist in their battle against the wretched Silver Jedi along with The Golden Company. Reports were coming in as [member="Scipio Alta"] had made landfall and had met resistance. He keyed his comms as he responded to an incoming transmission, " Proceed at your discretion Lieutenant. The beach will be held for as long as needed until all our forces are able to converge and wipe their front line out. Do not delay too long and move with caution. " As predicted, the Silver Jedi had sent a detachment of their forces to deal with his intrusion on their flank. The resounding march of Vexen's Fangs continued to echo throughout the battlefield as they had made it to the beach, forcing the defenders to either retreat from their entrenched positions or be fired upon by their own artillery. To many Wookies who had been told stories from their ancestors, this would be reminiscent of one such battle during the old Clone Wars, but their fighting spirit was not so easily deterred.

As the Wookie vanguard forces fired upon Vexen's advancing troops, they would find the effective range of a standard Wookie bowcaster ineffective given the range from which they were firing from as they were easily negated by the thick durasteel towershields wielded by the advancing droids, it would only be until they were close enough would they even have a remote chance of causing a droid to stagger from the force. Any attempts to take out Vexen's Fang sniper force would be made excruciatingly difficult to all but the best marksmen the enemy had to offer as the only exposed bits that were to be shot at were the barrels and scopes that protruded from behind the safety of the Vanguard Fangs that held shields. Their superior accuracy to biological snipers also made them that much more dangerous to those that attempted to fire at them so brazenly. Vexen would look to the skies as their bombers came in for an attack run, though the notion that they would be able to do so freely whilst being unopposed was off the table. The skies above were contested as the escort TIE fighters that flew in with the leading group of transports were engaged to contest air superiority. Fighters would engage them though it was inevitable that bombs would be dropped regardless. Scores of Fang wardroids would immediately vaporize as the bombs impacted, creating additional gaps in the leading formations of droids, though Vexen cared little for their numbers as they had served their purpose in being able to push the beachhead while minimizing his own casualties from infantry. A warbled and encrypted transmission came in from the Special Forces unit deployed near [member="Tekkio"], " Excellent work Captain, make use of the enemy's disarray. They will play right into our hands. "

Vexen would watch as over a hundred proton rockets flew at his forces position, calmly watching as they streaked across from their rear positions at a rate that far outpaced that of their mortars. Timing was crucial at this moment for his next maneuver. He watched as he motioned with his hand, a signal for his walkers and the swarms of drones deployed from them to intercept the incoming wave of proton rockets. Once more the air was filled with waves of laser fire that connected with the proton rockets and detonated the majority of them before they found their marks. Unless the proton rocket's explosive payload was located away from the tip of the warhead, they would be neutralized by the lasers on contact and be harmless. But as expected, the sheer number of them was something his forces were not able to handle as many got through and hit targets. Some deflector shields on the walkers would flare and fail as they were impacted by rockets, taking out some of their legs as well as they found themselves unable to move. Scores of droids were taken out alongside the mobility of his initial walkers, as well as his own Legion troops. Vexen once more lifted his arm up as he made a forward slicing motion before keying his comms as the whistling sound of mortars were rapidly approaching. " Activate shields. "

Just outside the deployed ramps of the transports that had landed where no action was being taken against them, a series of beams shot up from generators that had been pushed out. Waves of energy sprung into the air as they rapidly created a large dome-like shield as the deflector shields were powered up, creating an area of protection that surrounded Vexen's position as well as Legion soldiers that had been spread out across the beach. The thermobaric mortar shells would impact against the shield as their waves of flame and destruction had formed and wrapped around the edges of the shield, a massive wall of fire blotting out the sky from those who looked up. Those outside the edges of the shields, though they were mostly droids would be incinerated in a near instant as they were reduced to slag. Vexen would watch unfazed by the carnage that had unfolded, once more having revealed another card from his hand, having made the right choice to bring defensive measures when storming the shores of the Silver Jedi's capital. And now their Hailfire tanks whose proton rockets posed a plausible threat to his shields were all but depleted of their munitions due to the enemy commander having launched everything she had at him.

A wave of several transports inbound would peel away from the expected flightpath as they made for the beach far behind Vexen's established landing zone whilst the remaining few were arriving to drop off additional reinforcements. His forces would begin to regroup and ready themselves for another push while the shields were up, whatever units that survived the incoming hellfire that had been stopped earlier retreating into the safety of the shield as they passed through the barrier. Vexen would turn to his second in command as he issued his orders, " Have a squad of Fangs assigned to each of the deflector shield generators for protection. While we still have them active, the Jedi will not be able to penetrate our defenses. Ready the Legion to storm their lines. The mercenaries have engaged the enemy and our forces are beginning to move into pla- " His words were interrupted by the abrupt sound of artillery fire impacting against his shields as he turned to see where they were coming from. Had those rounds been fired earlier before the shields came up, they might have been cause for alarm as his attention was focused on the enemy commander who had plodded all their firepower in front of him. He had reason to believe that someone else was responsible as this artillery fire came from an area where he had no battle data on, nor the lines of sight to engage with the Harbinger artillery walkers he was beginning to deploy far in the back out of the reach of anything currently on the field. This may prove to be a problem for him, though he was confident in the Silver Jedi's incompetence, letting his arrogance show briefly with his dismissal.

The female standing next to him would nod as orders were being directed to the deploying artillery walkers that were on the beach across the water from Vexen's rear, being given the locations of all credible threats such as mortar and hailfire positions. Their primary directive was to annihilate anything that was within direct line of sight from their position since their heavy rail cannons had the capacity to tear through anything they came into contact with like paper. The magnetized ablative rounds would work their way through whatever shields that the Silver Jedi might throw at them, and either force them to retreat to the safety of the jungle where it would be harder to target from or be sitting ducks to the rail cannons. They had yet to find proper grounding to deploy as the sand was too soft for them to dig into, so they slowly lumbered off to the edge of the treeline to find solid dirt to dig into. Another warbled transmission would come through as it appeared their aerial reinforcements were en route to their positions. Vexen would activate his comms as he opened a channel to the squadron leader, " Send Admiral Denko my regards. Dispatch half your squadron to assist with friendly units in the air and the other half to assist with the squadron being sent to assist Lieutenant Scipio's position. " The battle on the beach had been stagnated for the time being as Vexen's main force had arrived and prepared for a full fledged assault against the Silver Jedi, with his initial vanguard forces pushing ahead outside of the shield to engage the enemy infantry and give them little time to breathe.

The Sith Troopers, quite frankly, fell at an alarming rate against the Mandalorian Supercommandos that followed Varad into battle. What was one to expect, though? Mandalorians were known for their combat prowess, whilst Sith infantrymen were simply unable to keep up. That wasn't to say they didn't put up a well deserved fight, for their numbers were greater - it was a matter of time, really. Their resistance was fierce, equipped with a wide variety of weapons that stemmed from your ordinary blaster to explosive ordinance. Ultimately, they were the bait.

As the Supercommandos departed the well fortified defenses of the temple, Fett's trap had been sprung. For the Sith Troopers were expendable, he was not. A barrage of missiles came soaring from the red-gauntlet mounted on his wrist, intent on wounding, killing or at the very least creating confusion. He still stood at a considerable distance, for this wasn't about honor but simple tactics. The explosives didn't only come from him, however. Few carried missile launchers and fired said rockets in their direction. The Mandalorian Supercommando wasn't a threat to take lightly, and twenty of them? You were in for a fight.

Sukais eyes scanned the surrounding area, the distance thunder of artillery and its impact shells indicating to where the front line was, the beach assault looking to be going just as well as it had to the droids back in the clone wars, gathering from all the smoke and shot down drop ships. “You are right, the Sith had not attacked any major location, which is odd, almost all the time they send their expendable propaganda brain washed troopers into the fold allowing their more skilled force users to strike the decisive blow against". Whether it be teaming up on a Jedi master or slaughtering the Padawan’s, this did not feel the same, or perhaps the Silver Jedi was just more prepared this time around unlike when trying to defend Voss and the surrounding systems from Sith attacks.

Who they were supposed to meet up with though was a question she wanted to know, if not rangers who? "Well regardless it will be interesting to fight not so much as Jedi and more soldiers, I could live like a Jin warrior this day, that would bring my family name honour". She looked back to Dusaro, still with a coy smile on her face, "I can be as coy as I want, Padawan, he he he". Well Sukai was still undergoing knight trails bust still it was fun to tease the man about it, soon though the duo regrouped with the now known to be night stalker group, seemed appropriate for her kind, but it was not really night right now. Herself giving a small bow to the group, upon her partner introducing them both, a slight respite from the whole invasion, well not for long, golden company, the infamous mercenary group appearing once again, their Sukai hearing about them from her brother after the invasion of Dagoba.

"Those guys kind of feel awkward to fight, just seems strange such a mercenary group would fight for the Sith", maybe it was just their radiant clothing that made her associate them with saviours, but they were not better then Koda Fett, given the right money anything was a target. In the following moment Sukai did not utter a word, following the Echani Jedi along with the Wookie’s to the landing pad, the thunder of feet planting against the deck as the group made haste, time being of the essence as of now. Grasping a firm grip of the drop ships hand rails as they lifted off, the pilot making double time to the affected area, the feel of battle ever nearing for the newly appointe-ish knight.

With her already enhanced sense further increased by battle meditation every move, shot and action and smell coming from the battle field down below then seemed clear as crystal, seeing the precision and decisive tactics of Golden Company go to work. "A Samurai is always ready for battle, poised to strike down those that would invade their lord domain", she replied, drawing her blue bladed sabre, it iconic humm filing the cabin as they began to make land fall, a stoic looks on her face, heart clasped in steel, anticipating one hell of a fight. "Today these honours less soldiers will face a Jin, no quarter will be given until either they or myself fall in combat", he almost yell in a speech like manner, leaping from the transport as soon as they were close enough.

Two sith soldiers ran side by side to a recently fallen home. One of them turned on his suit's thermal scanner and saw three signatures buried under the remains of the house. "Here!" He said and rose his blaster as the other soldier removed some of the debris to reveal three wookies. A large male roared out and backhanded the blaster out of the sith's hands, only to reach out with the other and grab his neck The trooper let out his retractable knuckle blade and stabbed at the wookie's wrist forcing him to let go. The other sith soldier let three rounds loose from his blaster, all true. The other two wookies was a female and youngling. "Common!" One of the sith troopers ordered, forcing them out.

The scene was the same for just about the entire civilian area. A wookie managed to get high up with a blaster and shot down at the sith, forcing them to take cover, managing to kill a couple. A large blast caught the wookie and sent his charred remains flying out of the tree and at the ground. What shot him was one of the walkers. A couple dozen walkers patrolled with the sith troopers.

Tekkio was in a tree watching the scene. The fierceness of the wookies reminded him of the Xinkra back on his planet. This similarity allowed him to dismiss many of their deaths, even the deaths of the younglings. But at least the survivors was competent enough to be ushered into small groups. The Kushiban's wrists beeped a few times, indicating the officers was meeting together. He jumped down to another branch then to the floor, bouncing a few times on four feet for a few paces before switching to jogging upright again. He paced himself as he approached the officers. turning in time see the wookies huddled down.

"If we continue North we will have a straight shot to the temple." The Lieutenant Commander Rogers said. One of the other Lieutenants nodded. "But we will be alone, can we hold out until the two Generals break the enemy and reach the temple?" Rogers was about to respond when there was multiple roars coming from the wookies, forcing the officers to take a look. The officers was on the far East side of the group, the disturbance was on the far West. A few wookies was attempting to overpower a few soldiers. Walkers held fire so as not to fire on friendlies. Other soldiers wanted to contain them, not kill their prisoners. Rogers walked to the group, still on the far East side, drew his blaster and shot one wookie in the back of the head. The fighting stopped as Rogers turned to aim at another who was not part of the hustle. Everyone was looking at him. "Well, I thought I would have to shoot more than one to finally get some attention." He said and lowered his blaster. "I want you to pay attention cause I am only saying this once!" He yelled out, speaking to the wookies. "You try to escape, and you all die, even those who do not try. If some of your friends tries to rescue you, you all die. If even one of you gives me a wrong look..." He paused. "You all die. So if I need to address you again, will be done by my soldiers with their blasters. So shut up, and you might live!" Rogers had yelled in a furious tone, so much he was shaking from every word. He recomposed himself and turned to walk to the officers. "Tekkio, Survey team and Recon team to the front, we head South East to the temple. Walkers will escort our prisoners and soldiers behind the walkers. If Jedi tries to rescue them, kill them... all of them." Tekkio saluted and jogged off.

He slowed his pace to look at the wookies. Xinkra was never this calm, this obedient... this scared. And it was catching up with the little Lieutenant that these beings was just defending their home. Still he followed orders. Maybe it was a bad idea to go to the temple right now, but whatever Rogers was planning, Tekkio hoped it would work. The Chief of the Survey team looked down at Tekkio. "We're not going home yet, huh?" He joked. Tekkio smiled a bit and said, "We have the front. Destination is South East." The Chief sighed out a bit. "The temple. Lots of Jedi there." Tekkio nodded. "But our main goal is to distract the forces away from the two Generals so they can punch to the temple. Our objective hasn't changed."

A Force Breaker grenade was thrown Fromm Enyo at the group of Padawans that were brave to defend the stairways to their Temple. It then exploded in airborne, the chemicals of the gas hoping to reach the nostrils and lungs of its intended targets despite it being an indiscriminate instrument of war. Force Breakers were nice and all, but it wasn’t his style. His style was very complex to describe though it was efficient for him. Destruction was his passion, an art he refined for his own unique taste while not costing a lot of energy for him.

Even sociopaths were capable of being intelligent. Another thing he gave thanks to Vilaz for.

And now...

Finally
...he could destroy his prey.

With shots firing from Enyo and his mother dealing with someone else that was part of her past, the Outlaw would make his move and activate his repulsorpack. A traditional move amongst Mandalorians, and still effective. His main goal was the Temple as that was the jackpot, the gold for him yet he knew that the Padawans at the stairways would do anything to prevent him that. He’d have to do some tactics to have them back off of him, however, make sure to not fully engage them.

His Mandalorian ripper would aim at any hostile that would try to stop him from doing his objective and making Matsu proud.

They say that one Mandalorian was worth of ten Republic soldiers during the Mandalorian Wars. He wondered how many Jedi equated to him.

"The enemy just hit a hospital!" a hospital official reported.

"While this is cause for concern, keep hitting the parties responsible for that! Reload the hailfires! Mortars, switch to ion rounds! Concentrate on the mobile shield generators!"

Since the mortars were muzzle-loaded, switching ammunition types did not have much of an effect on reloading times. That would force the proton rockets to be fired last in the sequence, given that it would take 30 seconds to reload and then have new targeting solutions acquired. And the big problem for both enemy artillery groups was that her own heavy artillery was behind a shield, causing the seismic charges to explode against Silver Rest's shields, causing very loud noises that could be heard for several kilometers, but the shield itself to be drained somewhat. And the very nature of missile firing allowed indirect fire, hence requiring no direct line of sight on the target. In fact, between the beach and Silver Rest there was jungle all over the place. Meanwhile, in the jungle, one of the gunships has taken fire, and is steadily losing altitude after taking hits to the engines. In its crashing course, it was threatening to take down the remaining enemy walkers on their rear like bowling pins: the Xi Charrians would need to be laying low, under cover, to unleash proton torpedoes at the walkers' legs, while the rest of the vanguard infantry continued firing at various enemy units such as the 21LEB behind them, the infantry elements supporting the walkers, and recognizing that taking out the shields were necessary to rout the enemy on the beach. And then their crews will realize in horror that a walker on one leg is liable to being tripped over, especially given the force required to blow the other leg off it.

"This is Silver Command. New priority targets: the enemy aircraft in the air and the mobile shield generators" she informed [member="Kei Amadis"] and [member="Valkren Calderon"]. "One squadron of Hwachas is to focus down on the fighters closing in on the temple, while our own fighters are to cover for the bombers by engaging the enemy fighters; remaining Hwachas, fire at will"

As predicted, the mortars fired first, unleashing ion charges at the mobile shield generators, in hopes of softening the shields prior to the volley of proton rockets. With mortars, the muzzle velocities and its corresponding impact velocities depended on the range of the target, with the projectile speed scaling proportionately to the range; at that close range, the impact velocity may just be slow enough to penetrate the enemy shields, if the enemy shields were of the walk-through variety. She had to grant one thing: the enemy is more competent than they used to be, but that could be because the Silvers were fighting the enemy elites; just that, if the enemy made an advance on the temple, they would find three separate armies on its path, including hers. Also, the enemy airpower came in late, but with the first group of 18 enemy fighters being fired two concussion missiles apiece at it, her own fighters were using the cover of the smoke generated by the thermobaric charge detonations to fire at the other 18 fighters from either behind or underneath. Meanwhile, the bombers began chipping away at the mobility-killed walkers laying outside the shield generators, with the understanding that heavy plasma bomblets' blast radius may as well be close to the shields. And then 24 concussion missiles were fired at the remaining walkers so as to finish the secondary group off while luring the enemy fighters closer to the temple and the anti-aircraft defenses it possessed. At the same time, the proton rocket reloading process was being finalized.

"Hailfires reloaded"

"Fire at the shield generators!"

And the remaining 84 concussion missiles fired from Hwachas were firing at positions taken by the 21LEB, which was already engaged by all three of the armies present in this area. Of course, she knew that the enemy attempted to flank, and maybe even surround her force, but intense artillery fire may as well claim both flanking forces, leaving the Silvers with the main force turtling up to deal with. It took a while, but the proton rockets were now able to be fired again. And an extra 108 proton rockets were fired at targets inside the shield generators, including, but not limited to, the generators themselves, albeit a full minute after the last volley. Deploying mobile shield generators will only delay the inevitable: between all three armies' ion ammunition, they will become vulnerable once the shields are down. They're turtling up because they are taking heavy casualties. Plus their airpower will soon be crushed. There is no reason to panic: it's the enemy that is suffering for its arrogance, which cost them dearly on Utapau, not us, she thought, while the terminal trajectories taken by the concussion missiles were nearly straight-down, and the infantry around 21LEB was busy firing at any Sith stormtrooper and support elements they could find.

  • Had MANPADs hit [member="Tekkio"]'s remaining walkers' legs alongside two dozen concussion missiles

It would seem the padawans, in checking themselves for her grenade, failed to observe how swiftly Joycelyn was advancing. Perhaps it was her great height that made her distance difficult to jduge? She had moved out of the forest before throwing, and she had continued to advance swiftly soon after throwing the grenade. Fragments of the grenade's shell pattered against the white plates of her legionaire armour as she made the final leg of the charge, and she could feel the heat of the blast through the weave in the gaps.

Mother Vahl, give me your fire.

The scroll pressed against her skin - under armour and weave - heated up noticeably, but not uncomfortably. On the contrary, Joycelyn knew that her goddess was with her in the battle. The residual fire of the thermal detonator curled unnaturally as it was blasted back by one of the Padawans' showaves, refusing to give in to atrophy, as its mistress drew on the restored fireshaping forms of her people, empowered by the scroll.

Joycelyn brought the tip of her blade into a high, on point guard. The fire curled around and shot forward like the maw of some ferocious sea creature, tongues of flame like a thousand jagged teeth, coming down against [member="Tanaski Yumi"] as one of the front-most Padawans.

Right after the fire-maw came the giant form of Joycelyn. Eight feet tall, white armoured, sword on point and eyes full of hateful aspirations. If ever there was a 'guns blazing' moment, then this was it. Her charge was measured, balanced, yet quick. The on-point stance insinuated a thrust. However, at the last minute, Joyce made a twist of the midsection that brought the blade around a fast cut directed at Asaraa Vaashe's lightsabre hilt and the hands holding it.

It was quickly apparent that the Vahlacanthix had some considerable aptitude with the blade in her hands.

When the Mandalorian flew overhead, she had a hope that he would rain down fire on her opponents from above. Even a strafing wound against them would help her odds greatly, and it seemed both the mechanical beast that was Enyo, and the great Darth Yaomo were caught in their own increasingly personal battles.

Armor being crushed and in turn crushing him, wrenching, bending bone and muscle. Kei thought he’d had the cyborg, and today he’d be going home to see his wife. You never let your guard down until the Sith Lady sings, or in this case big momma machine. Just as he’d never lowered his rifle.

Which was good, because the raged induced pain which crushed him and broke two ribs, fully dislocating the battered left shoulder, was answered by his gun spraying another third of its clip directly at her. 15 rounds. These were only small ion explosives on large slugs but she was vulnerable to ion and they were concentrated around the bolter side. He wanted that out of play, and more.

A Force bubble appeared around him breaking the technique if the ion didn’t, Kei’s version was to hold it in place till it was done. He fell to the ground. Clutching his ribs. If you’ve ever broken multiple ribs at once you know it’s no joke, the blood on lips as he coughed was real. He kept the pain for now, saving his strength and staring upward.

Sweat on his face. The exertions in the force were tiring him. He wasn’t a machine, no more than any average Jedi Master who had been around the block a few times. The wounds were mounting up and a HRD might analyse it in his body language, even if another could be fooled.

“Fighting will only cost us both more.” Amadis said, dabbing his lips and crimson coloring the armored glove.

About that bolter. The reason he’d concentrated on it so hard previous, was he was looking at the trigger, just a standard press and release, nothing complex. Her hopefully weakened arm or side would have the barrel smashed downward in the force, and hopefully fired point blank into the ground. It very likely wasn’t going to explode at that range, and she’d probably stay undamaged, but it was a good way to wreck her ranged advantage while keeping his own.

Zavii waited anxiously as the others geared up in the armory and the sounds of battle came closer and more heated outside. She was on the ground floor and could see the grand entrance about a hundred meters to her right. Twenty Mandalorian contractors had set up there with blasters, explosive launchers and even a machine gun. When the sounds of it firing erupted down the mostly empty corridor, Zavii couldn't help but to start moving that way. The Sith were close enough to be seen by these warriors at the door, and that was far too close as far as she was concerned.

As she jogged closer to the doorway she could hear the Songs of several of her fellow Padawans along with a few Darksiders and a bunch of soldiers. Something strange was happening in the Force though; Notes that the young Silver Jedi had never heard the likes of before. She could tell the Sith from the soldiers and even the Mandalorians on both sides had recognizable sounds, but a few of them had sent discordant, piercing cries that resonated and somehow left the overall Symphony of the battle quieter. It wasn't until she was within two meters of one of the warriors guarding the entrance and looked out the door did the Zabrak realize what she was sensing. Across the field where the Mandalorians were firing, several figures lay dead in the grass.

With a silent curse, Zavii knelt beside the armored warriors and lifted her rifle just as a huge armored woman ran up the steps flinging a ball of fire and brandishing a sword. Acting on instinct, she let out a sharp scream that might distract the attacker before firing a single slug at the Sith. She didn't exactly have time to line up a good shot, but she also wasn't sure how powerful the rifle would be either.

Objective: Build Up

She could feel it, the open minds, the ones reaching out and feeling the force from her and the loop that was being created before she looked into it. She could see them, she could see areas of the world now clearer. Where they were dueling sith forces and where influence and power could be needed. THe jeid master was letting herself drift along while she continued to move back. Continued to let her mind flow and drift backwards and forward with all of the force energies that were being used. Creating a link she could use while Valae was working and continued to focus the force. Her eyes almost glowing underneath the lids.

'Drift but be careful.' She was allowing her mind to go but could feel it, could see it there, the spark... that point of energy that was working like a guiding light to her. A beacon in the chaos of the drift before she was standing there.Feeling the tree and she could see something, someone who was there with her and they seemed surprised for a moment before she was brought away from it. Going towards the beacon again, her body trembling in her seat before she turned herself in her mind. Finding a place to continue and observe more, she could see soem fo the sith who were here and she knew them as she waited.

She could reach out and almost touch some fo the jedi there to aid them but knew the dangers of tht, study, focus and getting to attached would only lead to a distraction as she focused on the force and once she was standing there looking at it. Submerging herself within that beacon of the force she had created the jedi master was able to ride it and channel it into her hands and body. THen along the lines of energy she had going to the others. HEr protectors were around the tree as deep within the shadowlands it glowed illuminating the area and showing some of the other creatures that were down there waiting in the dark.

"GO." She whispered it from her lips but it echoed and reverberated towards the creatures to make them flee, to make them go towards the rest and to aid the others. THeir minds were not as complex, their thoughts easier to handle and she could find ways to tame and talk with them. A stampede going towards the sith troopers from within the shadowlands itself full of claws and teeth and hunger wouldn't be the most pretty but it could send a clear message in some cases. She would be able to guide and move them along, like some fot he creatures on Voss or Yavin. THey were just easier to guide with the force.

She allowed more fo the force to be generated, allowed it to flow from her into all of these new connections that she was making. Like a small brain with each new touch, each new experience creating new pathways, new experiences where she was going until the jedi master was certain of a few more things here. She knew how to drift along the stream but that was backwards to see the primordial as had been made within the monolith. Going forward she could only do so many things though before she was looking over sections to have her own interests. The rest was under attack but she felt several of the kinraths descend and drag away soldiers.

FOr a moment the Nameless one had been surprised by the war droids but there were the war droids they had gotten developed for protection and they served well... then there was a panther and wait... what.... She didn't know what was happening as she felt sometihng from her padawan looking at the girl. "Ahh that was... ah ah ahhhh." She was at a loss for words, she needed to read her books, to check them and see what the proper procedure was for this. She could feel emotions from Selena that she had felt before but.. they were different now.. stronger.

"Ahhh." THen she was preparing to head off and help as the Nameless One stood there with a dumbfounded expression on her face before she was starting to hear the sound of the klaxons again. Looking around and walking as she pulled her hair back into a tight ponytail to look proper at least. Without her cloak she needed to keep the look of decorum while protecting the medical area of the rest. There were other jedi that she could feel out there and around them who were heading to. She stood up straight and was prepared for the fight if they needed to do things until she had her saber going to her belt again and went towards the door.

Rockets came down and caught several of the supercommandos in their blast radius, shields shorting out on a couple of them, and two dying how they lived, in battle. The mass of Sith troops that were throwing ordinance their way wore another couple of Mandalorians down and they fell where they stood. Varad fought for clan and honor here, making them tenacious. Determined. Plasma responded, grenades were thrown and smoke, or frag filled the treeline to obscure what was happening. Clan Varad rallied harder, a few covering and most making a push right down the Sith's throats into close quarters, short ranged or melee weapons out. Khia's three pushed hard to the flank, feeling the crack of blaster bolt deflect off her shield, many near misses only driving them harder.

At the tree line the Crusader exhausted her clip into an unlucky trooper who stepped out. The large heavy slugs eventually cracking his armor and leaving him broken at her feet. Mercifully Khia finished him with a downward stroke. Moving back to a rock, she released her clip and nodded to the two that were with her. Locking another back in place. Out the three of them came on the Sith flank, hunting through the jungle, cutting through them at speed. One with plasma, with one blaster and Khia with her FIST. Smashing her armored elbow into one's faceplate, and gunning down another, heavy sound of the large slugs echoing out and probably waking up the Sith to what was going on to their side.

Hammer to the anvil they came. Her first energy shield took some hits. She didn't have the force, she did have all the toys. Her targeting visor came alive and focused in. Spotting Coda Fett high in the air, she saw her prize, damned if Seka was going to beat her to it. Raising the LMG sized slugthrower up, its microtipped ion explosives slugs shot outward at [member="Koda Fett"], tracing his path through the air and trying to get her gun ahead of him to land a hit. Large slugs capped with an iron charge to pierce shields and damage equipment.

Sixteen of Clan Varad still stood.

Her attention may have been split, but Spencer hadn’t become who she was by allowing that split attention to become a weakness. Matsu was smart, she wanted for an opportunity to strike. The grenade was perfectly timed even if it wasn’t planned. As the cancerous cloud dissipated, Spencer felt the woman strike. Her mental wall was strong, but she had not expected something to be so sharp. The attack forced Spencer’s lips to curl in an excited grin. Finally, someone who didn’t fear the fight, didn’t fear what could become of her and here she was.

A sense of pride washed over Spencer as she fondly remembered her apprentice. The man had learned from her and that made her overlook his faults. Her memories of him, especially of her latest memory was something she would never forget. Despite everything and all the power he had gathered, he arrived at her side like a good son. Was the blonde motherlike than she had assumed herself to be? Jared was much older than her, yet he doted on her during Ashin’s death like a son would a grieving mother. That too kept the smile upon her face. The strike drew no blood, but it did give Spencer a warning that she did need to give Matsu Xiangu some respect.

“Beautiful.” It was all Spencer said as her mind focused on defenses, as the walls reinforced themselves something dark began to seep from the deep recesses of her mind. She truly wanted to see the extent of Matsu’s power and releasing something she never thought she’d release began to unravel itself. Time would need to be taken, till then Spencer began to buy herself time. For the time being, Spencer forced her presence upon the Sith woman, a weight upon her mind would slowly begin to grow heavier and hint towards the dread that awaited her.

With Matsu and the other darksider’s around, Spencer could tap into the dark side. She would never be a sense of perfection for the light or the dark, but her empathy helped allow her to use others to fuel the energy she needed. Stepping forward, she brought a hand up, nothing to the naked eye was visible. As her hand paused for just a moment, dark energy constructs began to form into small needles. Three small darts formed and with a flick of her wrist they were launched with their speed controlled by the force towards Matsu. They were both mentalist that required some sort of concentration. Though, she doubted a small little thing like spears of midnight black would distract Matsu from what she was doing. Still, it would be fun to see the dark lord dance a little.

“I hope you’re well prepared, Matsu – Soon the real fun will start.”

In short succession, a hailstorm of ion-tipped slugs shot towards the Terminatrix. Her rage had given her strength, but also caused her to focus on crushing the Jedi, which meant she'd temporarily lost track of his gun.

One bullet scored a glancing blow, then another struck in a full-on impact, then another. The Machine side of her mind took over and she moved quickly, drawing upon her Droid speed to dodge. Still, this did not mean perfect evasion. Her changed focus forced her to relinquish her telekinetic grip around the Jedi, granting him some breathing space. By chance or design, her helmet was hit and her vision was disrupted for a moment.

What saved her arm from being permanently disabled or destroyed was her Eisenmensch armour. Enyo's Phrik Droid Body protected her against many dangers, though obviously the degree of protectiveness varied and enough firepower would still kill her. However, it was extremely vulnerable against ion and electrical currents. Her suit had been designed to compensate this weakness.

Circuits were blown up, and her arm was temporarily nonresponsive. It hung limply to the side, and this gave the Jedi the opening he needed to reach out and pull the trigger. An explosive bolt leapt out of the muzzle and hit the ground at her side. Point blank range.

There was no explosion. The reasoning for this was simple. The Mk1 bolter's explosive bolts had a minimum range. This did not just mean that soldiers using the gun should not fire the explosive microgrenades if their target was closer than the minimum range demanded. It meant that the bolts only armed after the minimum range, because one could not count on overeager recruits being smart enough not to blow themselves up.

This kept Enyo from experiencing a bolter's shockwave. However, if the Jedi had sought to take the gun out, he'd succeeded, for an ion detonation had compromised its electronic components and messed up the scope. Enyo had no intention of giving him a reprieve though. She paid his words no heed.

In a near instantaneous action, she dropped the bolter. The Force surged through her and telekinesis abruptly compressed around the Jedi's rifle, as she attempted to crumple the thing into an unusuable ball of metal. Or just plain render it nonfunctional.

Furthermore, she fired a sonic wave pistol at him with her left hand, as her right arm was weakened by the bombardment from earlier. Burst mode. He was not wearing a helmet, so even if she did not score a direct hit, it might disorientate him. Or the concussive force might burst something. Like another rib.

At the same time, she was advancing, closing the distance between them. Soon she should be close to him. In melee combat, where she could bring her Droid strength to bear, she would probably have an edge. The Jedi was tough, determined and brave, but still human. He bled, he tired. The Machine did not.

It seemed Tanasuki would soon eat his words, upon finishing his little comment about the Sith a sudden jolt came through the force warning the Padawan of an impending attack. Turning his blue gaze fell upon an armoured sword armed Sith charging at the group, hated radiating off the woman, as well a heat forms the swirling flames that engulfed said monster sword. Despite his nibble nature the suddenness of the attack had caught the Jedi unprepared, unable to dodge the attack, but not try to counter it in some way.

Quickly sheathing his sabre Tanasuki stood firm, the force converging around the boy, 'still all the atoms are still, no movement no energy', concentrating hard, using alter environment to the fullest of his ability the Padawan cooled the area in front of him to near freezing temperatures. It was a sudden and desperate move to protect himself from the incoming flames, the sudden impact from the fiery jaws engulfing the Jin, pushing him back slightly.

Though Preventing his ultimate demise, the fierce flames slowly melted away at Tanasuki's hasty defence, his skin and clothes starting to burn, the Jedi's gritting together at the pain, 'I can't stay here for long, being Sith BBQ is not on my to do list'. Placing a firm foot against the ground Tanasuki let out a loud war cry, suddenly letting the flame briefly engulf himself before leaping through the fire, duel Vibro blade drawn, the Padawan swingeing them in an upwards arc towards the Sith sword as it made its way towards Asa.

Even with every lingering stinging sensation of being severely burn Tanasuki was not going to let it bother him, the chard areas on his arms and face already beginning to slowly regenerate, unless he was to suffer an almost mortal wound pain was just a distraction to push through.

Olrunn could sense before she saw the movement of her Master, who had taken off with a speed she had previously thought to be impossible. In truth, she realized, it was understandable for someone like him. The Force's powers seemed without limit, and he was a Master of it, an expert in bending it and pushing it. And as if this alone weren't enough to account for his speed, Olrunn remembered the many times the Sith Lord had moved with such swiftness. She had never been certain of his heritage, of what were the characteristics of the blood that tun in his veins, nor it was her place to ask. Yet one thing was for sure, whatever species it was, it was faster than most she knew.

And she would not see another attack eluded so simply. To her it was not a matter of Sith or Jedi. She was not fanatical and had nothing against the Jedi but her loyalty to Excidium and their disgusting hypocrisy. Bringers of peace and diplomacy, yet their so-called ally, the red-haired witch, had attacked them first. Without even showing her face, and ignoring her Master's declaration of willingness to speak. No, the woman deserved the fury of the Sith Lord. In Olrunn's eyes, she had failed her cause and she had threatened the ones she followed. Something that her, a pack-minded individual like she was, could not so simply tolerate. So the gurlanin drew on the Dark, with much more coldness than her previous outburst. She let it seep through the diminutive rips in her composure, those that everyone had, and brought forward her specie's ability to disappear from sight, sound, smell and the Force. Now beyond the reception of those around her, she rounded Elpsis Kerrigan-Alcori and Minch with as much swiftness as she could, aiding herself with the Force to keep her body crouched enough as to avoid the bullets fired their way just until they had passed her, before picking up her speed.

Yet her objective was not the witch. No, it would have been reckless for her to take her on. Her power was not big enough, her skills not yet that honed. She jumped, concentrating the Force around her hands as if in a spinning drill. The momentum of her own speed together with this simple tactic conjured through the Force allowed her to penetrate the Padawan's air front without losing much of her velocity. Her hands gripped onto the small alien's shoulders, ripping him away from the witch and throwing him various meters back, making sure to augment the impact of his back onto the floor through the Force. And only then did she stand once more in view and every other sense, saber once again ignited and ready in her combat stance, between Minch and the Masters. She would not allow him to play hero, was her thought, for she was more than a worthy opponent for someone that matched her skill level. And right now, all she needed to do was give Excidium time.

Minch

Afraid, you are. Worried, I'm not.
Well, to call it an orb would be inaccurate. It's actually a high to low wind front coming out in all directions. And now, back to Bob with the sports.

However Elpsis decided to handle Excidium, it was beyond Minch's purview except with what little he had currently mustered. He couldn't even see the guy, since he was hugging onto her back. No, his job was to watch for extra threats that would try to gang up on the occupied Elpsis. Such as the Gurlanin that just went invisible...oh, dear.

An enemy disappearing was trouble enough, let alone one that he couldn't sense. Minch turned and flipped his grip to hang backwards from her back, rather than hugging her back. He scanned for any sign of her. He reached out through the Force. Nothing...well, not her specifically. He narrowed his eyebrows and small details leaped out to him rapidly: the sudden flattening of long grass, leaves and other light debris stirring in the wake of something beyond the reach of his wind. She was skirting around. Minch knew the fear of being prey quite well. It was a nerve wracking experience every time, but he had learned (sometimes, the hard way) that you had to remain calm and wait for the correct moment to respond to the predator.

The moment she noticeably coalesced Force energy into her hands (like the smell of ozone before a coming rain) and then charged into his wind, cutting a notable path through his field of influence; that was when he acted. He dropped his effort of continuing to move the wind.

"Move!" There was no time to say anything else, nor a chance to give her a clearer idea of his intent, but he hoped she'd be able to work with it as much as possible.

He jumped off Elpsis' back. His right foot came down and slapped the reaching hand of Olrunn Darr as punishment for being naughty.

"Dog, bad."

He used that momentum to flip his body once before landing a few feet away. He wheeled around to look upon her with narrow eyes and said,

"Invisible to the Force, eyes and nose, you may be, but a ghost, you are not."

He realized he had been clenching his fists. So, he took a deeper breath, clasped his hands together peacefully in front of himself and dropped the teacher tone before continuing.

"Resort to violence, why must we? Already, the cost of life is high. Stop before more are hurt uselessly, we should."

Perhaps they were open to reasoning? He was willing to pay the price to find out.
