They arrived not at the end of a mirage, but a real paradise in the desert. Water was bubbling to the surface, and the temptation to jump in was tantalizing. Sarla however followed Remy’s lead, this could be under the protection of Raiders who migjt think the waters sacred.

Oh but she wanted to splash in it and wiggle her toes in the liquid, get all that sand off her hair and well, figure. Instead, The Former Sith stood watching the waters rise to the surface and stuck out her tongue which was incredibly dry and in need of some living water.

“I hope this isn’t booby trapped. I could really go for a dip.”

"We should proceed with caution." Remy said it... mostly cause it was quiet but she was moving around the edge looking for the best way down. Feeling it with the force and nothing was there and she found a place. The waters darker below as she was debating what to do... then she thought about it. Looking at Sarla. "Do you trust me?" She said it with a look on her face for a moment before she moved her hand slipping from fingers to wrap around the waist and pull so the two of them were going over the edge down into the waters below. She wrapped her arms there for a moment though and looked with a smile on her face that was wide.

Sarla was completely taken by suprise when Remy took her by the waist and pulled them over the edge down into the waters. As she fell she shouted,

“I…trust.. you!!!!’”

SPLASH!

The two were now in the water, and it felt so good, great bubbles of sand rose up like a sand bar, the grains coming off. The Boken Trainee rose back up to take a breath, her hair wet as she snorted some water and swam towards Remy.

“You always catch me off gaurd.. its unnerving.”

She winked to express that she actually liked it.

Remy was playful and reminding Sarla that not everything had to be sabers and grunts of stoicism. The constipated Jedi she had pictured was not them, Remy was making the light side fun.

As Sarla dog paddled closer, she felt the urge to say what before she couldn’t.

“Uh.. when say I introduce you to say.. a friend..”

She had no friends, well Anak perhaps.

“Should I call you Master.. or Girl.. Friend.”

She said it, but in such a way that let Remy if she so desired have a way out and she some shred of dignity should her hopes be dashed.

"The divine beauty whom I worship." She said it floating there... the feeling of the water on her skin and loosening her hair before she was laughing. "I kid, that was a joke... master is formal... too formal but am I your girlfriend?" She tilted her head as she floated there. Her feet doing small kicks to stay up but she was practiced in this sort. She held her arms to the side to add a little flotation to herself. SHe remained looking at Sarla as she could feel the water taking the sand off of her, better yet she could feel the coolness going down to her bones as looking up and around them the oasis in the desert in a cenote like this was very beautiful. From this perspective she could see the trees that lined it and had a misting of water... she could feel the force stronger here and even see now small grooves in the rock one could use to get down but it was visible from down below.

Sarla nearly sunk ar the title “divine worship,” she blushed, for she felt like worshipping Remy. Then the Pureblood posed the question back to Sarla, forcing her to say it.

“Uh.. well yes, I mean.. to me your my girl friend.. uh.”

She wound her fingere in her damp black hair like noddles in a dish with chopsticks.

As a Zeltron this was a serious matter, unrequited feelings like love was painful to a Zeltron, more so than for humans. So the fact The Former Sith was going on a limb meant she was risking her heart. She bobbed and kicked to float as she studied Remy’s face, waiting for the veredict. She was on pins and needles. Her face so woeful despite the pleasure of the cool waters caressing her ruby skin.

She looked at her, listening and floating there as it was an important thing she was saying. "Hearing you say that is... unexpected but not unwelcomed." She said it and motioned with her head to the shore of it as she moved over to be on the sand that was there. Remy sitting as she took off her pack and footings. LAying them out on rock to dry in the sun with a nod of her head. "I am not entirely certain... I have not had one other whom I considered important for such a thing. Are you certain such a thing is what you want?" She said it and there was the danger of attachment but she was more concerned that they wouldn't want to leave this place.

Sarla felt a tinge of excitement at her words, “not unwelcome.” The. They swam ashore, and Remy explained she had not designated anyone by such terms and then asked The Zeltron if that was what she wanted, she felt some reservations. She recalled Jedi generally forbid attachment, fearing it would lead to the dark side and she was not going to talk Remy into it having been a Sith Lord.

“Well.. let’s say I am open to it.. but it needs to be consentual. I won’t drag anyone into It.”

Her heart was a little brittle, she had been hasty and made this fun occasion to serious.

“Anyway.. lets just sun and have fun!”

She leaned on her side, her eyes trembling. Her heart was bruised because she had been a Zeltron, throwing herself in to a relationship. Just as she had with Anak and see how that faired.

Listening to her and looking she moved as the woman was on her side and wrapped an arm around her. "It will be alright Sarla... I am not saying no... just unsure what to do in a situation like this. THe physical might be easy I suppose but the emotional and mental stuff will be something we both have to be prepared for and I wouldn't want you to think you needed to." She moved so her head was at the back of the womans neck and rested her face against it as she was able to run a hand through the black hair. "We'll make it work, just breathe and enjoy yourself... also might best be getting out of these cloths they are wet and we could get colds and then that will be really attractive with all of the snot."

Sarla felt her arm come around her side, she tried bot to sob. Then Remy said softly words that made her feel less hurt, “we will make it work.” She then felt fingers run through her hair. She turned arpund with watery eyes.

“I understand.. its my nature, I am sorry.. I dive in, in the matter of hearts.”

She held Remy’s hand.

“I am sorry to burden you, I didn’t consider your feelings, that you might need to take things slow.”

As she said that, the suggestion they get out of wet clothes came. Sarla’s Ruby cheeks lit up like thrusters from the warmth.

“Well if its for health.. then sure.”

She removed her tattered hood and tossed it aside.

She offered a smile to that and nodded. "It is alright... we will figure it out like the rest of what is happening. Not everythign needs to be decided within the day... or even a week. What if tomorrow you wake up and think me fat... and you have a dislike of fat women?" Would not be great to have tied yourself to one person so completely." Her example was well extreme but she was just wrapping her arms around the zeltron and being there in the sand she was stretched out to get the sun on all of her skin to dry. The clothing on rocks and elevated so it would do much the same and they could have it for the night.

Sarla let out that squeel laugh once more.

“I happen to like fat women.”

She winked.

She understood what Remy was saying, though a Zeltron was not fickle in their affections. When it took, when that line of love grabbed her, that was it. One could be handicapped and have a missing eye. It did not matter to a Zeltron in love.

“I come on real strong.. I understand. I do not expect you to respond as I do to these feelings.”

She looked at The Pureblood in the eyes.

“I understand the Jedi fear attachment. I probably won’t make a good Jedi then.. but I’ll try..”

She then looked at the ground, her toes wiggling in the sand. She let out a sigh, she felt doomed.

SHe laughed with that comment and brought her hand up and over smacking lightly on the shoulder. "Terrible, there hasn't been overweight jedi since the High Republic." She said it and there were records but she nodded to Sarla as the woman was speaking. "It is not attachment I fear as much as not knowing if you would be here tomorrow." Well not tomorrow tomorrow but the metaphorical tomorrow. SHe offered a smile though while finding a place to sit and she crossed her legs to sit down. She was at peace here and could relax in it. The sounds of water coming out was there and aabove that the silence fo the desert itself. "This though... was worth it. The force is here and is sooths like a balm."

Sarla took Remy’s hand, and looked at her intently,

“Tomorrow may never come. I know more than most that in a split second your world can be torn apart. But to live in fear of that and deny ourselves the passion, ardent affection of the moment is foolishness. If you could lose it all at any moment, why not seek affection in each others arms now?”

Sarla felt the winds of the Great Mystery, but her mind and heart was fixed on Remy. She knew that she had to be careful, The Pureblood had been abandoned by a Master, just as Sarla had for a time been abandoned by Anak. It was not an easy wound to heal, but still The Zeltron had made her point. She would not force Remy into a fast fall into affection, if she needed time that was what she would get. Sarla took some more steps into shallow water, rinsing her feet.

She gave a nod as there was wisdom in her words... it wasn't just being fearful or worried about it. She looked at the zeltron going to the water and remained where she was. Allowing the force to go through her when she spoke. "You are not wrong." She said it and rose up after a moment as she stood there and moved tot he edge. ONe hand coming out to touch the shoulder and the darker hair with a smile. "One should not overly worry about tomorrow when anything can change and alter it. We might be able to meditate here.. there is a sense of peace this far out and being the last place on the world where water exists... it might attract other wonders."

Remy agreed that Sarla was right, but that wasn’t what the Zeltron cared about. She wanted to be close to her and it was clear that would take time. The Zeltron would have to be patient.

As the Pureblood mentioned meditating, Sarla said, @
“First thing is first.”

She called some of the plate coverings that had fallen with string like straw coming iut and threw some leaves on it. She then called the Force to immolate, it burst into flame and she placed her clothes and Remy’s on a palm plate to dry them.

She then returned to wading in the water, and prepared to train in meditation. Something she only knew the dark version of, that channeled anger and sharpened rage.

"We have a brazier." She said talking about the heater that she had used before and offered a smile though as she went to sitting there and stretched out on the sand. Finding a place to sit comfortably when she was meditating. "Just find a place to sit and relax, allow your body to loosen, tongue at the roof of your mouth. Eyes closed, breathing even." She said it while remaining there before shaking her hair out so the black curtain was over one shoulder. "Imagine something that calms you, that focuses you. Or someone, there is nothing against a focus being a person with a purpose behind them or tied to them."

Sarla took her place on the sand, her legs folding into the Lotus position before going down on her back and trying to apply her Master’s training. She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on something, her mind saw hee sister Cecilia.

“Hi sis..”

Sarla’s eyes in this plane quaked.

“Ce.. Cecilia..”

The Woman wore a white dress, her skin lighter ruby, almost human.

“I have been watching your progress..”

The Former Sith Lord shook her head.

“How.. how is this happening? I am not in Chaos..”

Cecilia nodded.

“No, but you traveled there and it has given you ‘eyes to see’ and ‘ears fo hear.”

Sarla lowered her head.

“I am sorry I did not look for you..”

Cecilia smiled.

“I am not in Chaos..”

Sarla looked up.

“Wha.. what?!”

The Sister smirked.

“I had long been learning Jedi teachinga in secret, particularly the Shaman of the Whills.. who know the secret to immortality. I could see the Tsis’kaar was doomed, The Sith are barbarians who burn down everything, including themselves.”

Sarla stepped forward,

“Why didn’t you say anything?”

Cecilia chuckled,

“Would you have listened then? Besides I did not want to have to fight my sister.”

Sarla sighed,

“You are probably right.. but why now? Why have you come at this place?”

Cecillia drew closer, her body now visiably glowing in a teal light.

“Because now you walk the Jedi Path, and to encourage you to stay on The Narrow so that we may be together one day.”

The Zeltron felt tears welling up and she hugged her sis.

“I am glad you found peace.. that Darkstar sent you to a better place.”

Cecilia embraced her sister.

“You and he have more story yet. If he asks for your help, do it. You both have a bond, The Force has willed it.”

Sarla nodded,

“I do not love him in that way anymore..”

Cecilia smiled,

“That matters not, he is like a Brother who will always look out for you. Be good to him.”

The Boken Trainee nodded some more,

“Anything you can tell me aboit Jedi afterlife?”

Cecilla laughed,

“The Jedi of ages are chatty, and there are no coffins or flames.”

Sarla gave that squeal laugh.

“That is good to hear!”

Cecilla pointed to Remy who laid beside her.

“She is important to your journey. Be patient. I know our people like to jump into things, she needs you and you her, but tread softly, like yourself she has scars of the past.”

Sarla nodded as she looked at Remy.

Cecilla began to fade away, Sarla reached to grab ger,

“Wait! Don’t go! Sister!”

Cecilla said as she faded in whire,

“I am always with you sis, all the Jedi are One in the Force..”

Sarla’s eyes opened and she betan to pant heavily, her eyes wobbling, as tears dropped from her white eyes. She mediatee on those last words,

“I am always with you sis, all the Jedi are One.”

She meditated, the force swirling around this place made it much eaier and she was able to feel the force moving throughout her body as she inhaled and allowed it to fill her lungs. THen it went from her core to the ends of her fingers and toes while she sat there. Her tongue running along the roof of her mouth. She inhaled as her vision clouded over and she wasn't in the oasis... the sounds of the desert here was different. Sun overhead as it cast red light on everything painting all of them in darker shades. Tantorus was never a surprise she knew it well enough as the other purebloods did this every year. THey ran, a test of strength and endurance. Her brothers and sisters using it to mostly handle and trade off the runts of the family.

The running continued... fast, hard and as they went through the desert sands they kicked up dirt all around them. Her eyes were tracking parts of it... her brothers and sisters leading the way but they were running faster to get past her. She focused on endurance and as they crested one of the canyon dunes.. they started falling behind and she was able to bound down faster and faster. Using the sand and stone to her advantage when she slid quickly. Her attention went to the sun above as a shadow passed over them and it was larger then some fo the creatures on the world. Mentally she knew what this was in the memories she had.

Remy's eyes shot open for a moment as she was sitting there and she could feel and hear Sarla who was there meditating as well. She rose up and looked around breathing in and then out as she relaxed her body and mind. "JUst a memory."

Sarla opened her eyes, the twin suns blaring in the sky. The visit from the Netherealm was not what she expected on her first meditation. She sat up and saw Remy had stirred too, her eyes blinking as she ruminated on what her sister had said.

Sarla now had incentive to stay on the Path of Light, that she would be promised to see her kin again. Of course Remy was another reason, she had lost a master, she would not lose a apprentice. The Zeltron was starting to understand, you had to think about the other’s feelings, not just satisfy yoir oen cravings.

She was learning to unlearn what she had leearned from the Sith which “thought only inward, about themselves.” (Anakin Skywalker, ROTS).

Remy moved and looking at Sarla she raised a brow as the thicker bone like brow went upwards. A tendril twitching in amusement but she moved to stand there near her. "I take it your first time was... different?" She said it and offered a small nod while standing near the water and it was cool with all of the heat from the sun. THe feeling of the oasis granted a lot more for the pair of them when she allowed the force to flow between them. She breathed in and then out as she finally looked around. "Our cloths should be dry." She offered it as a small thing to latch onto should asking about the meditation not be good and moved to the side stretching her arms and back.
