Wake Up

It had NOT been Kira who pulled off her pants. In fact, it had been Devin himself! There had been some tugging of the hem!

"Oh no no, no dressing up now." bare as the day she was born, the Lorrdian went around picking up spare clothing. They had made a right mess of it too. A small chuckle had escaped before the blonde turned to enjoy the retreating figure of her husband's backside.

"I'll take a quick shower!" she called out to tell him, feeling a bit sticky all throughout. Her legs would protest the walk nonetheless. Arms came up and over her head, giving them a little stretch. The polished floor was cool under the soles of her feet, but comfortably so.

Alright, after having a meal, they should arrive at the sector soon.

The Meal that Soliael cooked wasn't anything complex, just some eggs and french toast. The entire thing didn't take longer than just a few moments, and by the time Kira was done with her shower Soliael had pinged her to come to the bridge. His own plate was already empty as he sat in the Captain's chair, the still hot food that he had made for her sitting on the communications console. His finger's darted over the controls in the arm of the chair.

"Dropping out a little early." He told Kira as she stepped onto the bridge.

"I'll take care of everything." They would need to position themselves in a blind spot in the system. "You eat."

Luckily, the curse didn't extend to ships that were the size of The Freya. That was mostly because you didn't actually pilot ships of this size, rather you told a computer what you wanted to do and the computer than did it for you. There were manual drives, but those weren't really all that handy unless you were flying into atmosphere. "Strap in though."

He told her with a smile.

"Oo, eggs, and toast!" Kira was well pleased with this. Dimples flashed at Devin's direction, if a bit more curious that he was dropping them out early. Then again, early meant that they could take their time.

"Anything on the world?" she inquired, settling into the large chair with her plate in hand. No navy suit or chef outfit, much to Soliael's disappointment. Instead, she took to comfortable baggy, drawstring gray pants and a light blue button-up blouse -- with the first two buttons unbuttoned. Her hair was still a little damp, darkening her blonde hair into an ash blonde.

Setting her plate on her lap, she did as instructed and strapped herself in.

"Low technology or high?"

[member="Kira Talith"]

"About in the middle." Soliael told her as he pressed another key on the arm of his chair, eyes quickly darting towards the left for a moment so that he could look at his wife.

The scans that had come back were fairly conclusive and simple.

"There's no major cities." Not what they would consider a city anyway. "Mostly just scattered villages and the like, but it seems at least one of them has a shield generator for protection."

That had been surprising to him, though it was a good sign. Perhaps that particular village or town hadn't yet fallen to the pirates and would be a bit friendlier to them. It was a bit of a pipe dream, but Soliael was allowed those every once in a while, or so he thought anyway.

"I put us on a course behind the moon." Just in case any of the pirates did show up.

"Huh." a stab of her fork brought a small bite of the french toast for the Jedi Master to eat. Kira would chew thoughtfully as her eyes swept over the information, taking in the details of the small towns.

" But are they a space faring type of mid technology?" just how surprised would they be at their visit? Humanoids? Or were the natives a completely alien species?

Kira brought her hand up, giving a few taps of the holographic screen.

"Well at least the air is Type One breathable."

[member="Kira Talith"]

"I don't think they have any ships." He told her. "But I'm pretty sure they won't panic when they see us."

Why else have a shield generator?

Soliael presumed that the Rishi Maze likely didn't have much native life, or rather, much native sentient life. He theorized that many of the worlds within this galaxy were colonized hundreds, if not thousands of years ago. The primary galaxy had known of the Rishi Maze for millenia after all, and unlike moving to a galaxy in the distance, the Rishi Maze was relatively close by. Colonism made sense in a way, especially if you were trying to get away from the chaos.

"I Suppose we'll find out though." The Freya bucked slightly as it shifted into the planets orbit and past it, heading directly towards the worlds moon.

They would be able to hide behind the little ball of dirt, escaping sensors and blending with the rock just in case any Pirates showed up.

" Well if we fly through the cover of the night, it would at least give us a little bit of cushion." they may have a planetary shield, but that didn't mean that they were a space faring world. It could be there potentially to protect against outside celestial bodies. Or perhaps it had something to do with their atmosphere. It could be anything really. They were talking about a world within a satellite galaxy.

" Seems to be a near human population" Kira added, going through what little bit of information they could pluck from the databanks and from Nohei's probe.

"I could send the probe under stealth mode to try and pick up more information in one of the larger villages."

[member="Kira Talith"]

"That might scare them." He pointed out, plus it would just take more time.

"It's easier just to take the shuttle down and land a bit away." He highly doubted that they would be in any danger. "Not like they ever have to see our ship."

Sending another probe was too risky, someone could see it and panic. They could report it and cause a rise in the village, or they could just shoot it and they'd end up losing another one of their probes. He didn't want that, and it would be easier just to head down onto the planet itself. If they ran into anything bad Soliael would just blink them away back to the shuttle.

"Night time is a good idea though." That way they could just pretend to be travelers from another city.

Easy.

"That was my same thought." Kira replied. They would need to prepare accordingly of course. Wear something light weight and easier to blend into the darkness. Maybe a robe.

"We could park the shuttle in an isolated area. Walk a ways to the village." her legs would protest of course, what with their recent activities. However, Kira was well used to having to walk quite aways. If anything, Devin would be kind enough to give her a foot massage after if she asked.

"The probe is deploying close to the village. I have enabled stealth mode. Should give us an idea on what we might be expecting."

"Let's try to look simple." Difficult for him. "No fancy clothes and no jewelry besides our rings."

Those were simple enough, but her necklace? That would have to stay. Kira wouldn't like it of course, but if she wore that thing everyone would be staring. The necklace was more ornate than even some nobles on Coruscant had.

Better not to flaunt anything. "I'll meet you at the shuttle."

Soliael told he as he stood from the captains chair. The Freya would make it's way towards the back of the moon in auto-pilot, it would then shut down most of it's systems aside form auxiliary thrusters. This would ensure that the ship actually stayed where they wanted it to.

He had a point. The necklace, as delicate and refined as it was, would stand out if they were going in with simple traveling clothes. The contrast would be too obvious and indeed, would bring in more unwanted attention.

" Yeah, that's fine." she agreed. Although if she were honest with herself, removing it would make her feel a bit naked. More so than actually being naked. Since Devin had presented to her the handmade gift, the Lorrdian Jedi Master had worn it practically every day. Only a few instances in which she allowed Esme to borrow it had it left her side.

"Is it strange that I feel a little bit weird taking it off?" She was at least honest about her uneasiness. It was the right thing to do, but it still felt a little bit weird. Lifting her hands, the blonde went reaching up to remove the clip.

[member="Kira Talith"]

He kissed her forehead. "No."

The necklace had adorned her for nearly every day of their marriage, it was older than their children. It was one of the few things that Soliael had crafted almost entirely on his own. He was no master craftsmen, he was no Sith Alchemist, but there was a special quality to that necklace that even he couldn't explain.

"Leave it on the shuttle." There was a hidden compartment. "You can put it back on when we get out of there."

He wouldn't mind if she said no to that either though, knowing Kira she would be too afraid of having it stolen.

The idea of that was a bit silly since they would park in the middle of the desert, but Soliael wouldn't say that outloud. He knew his wife better than to try and argue about something as precious as that necklace. Unlike some of the other things they owned, there really was no replacing that.

" I don't know," the blonde woman vacillated between leaving it back in her room or the shuttle. A small rock of her head and she came to a decision.

"I'll take it back to our cabin" she said, the delicate filigree curling along her fingers. It was a beautiful necklace, the Angraal crystal catching the light with its facets and seemingly burning from within with sparks and fire.

"Since it is a desert world, we'll need some more water. Should we take a pack each? A day pack?" better safe than sorry.

Their travels already had a tendency of turning rather, well, unpredictable.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"I'll get that while you put the necklace away." They wouldn't need clothes or anything, just the essentials.

Some water, food, maybe some bandages and medication just in case. He wasn't quite sure what they would encounter down there, but he wasn't all that worried about getting attacked or anything like that. As long as they didn't look the part of pirates, they didn't have anything to be concerned. They had no idea what the people of this world were like of course, but they were at least somewhat technologically developed, that told them something.

He highly doubted this was some sort of raider tribe either, the town seemed too organized for that, at least from what he'd gotten of the scans.

"Quickly" Soliael said as he gently smacked Kira on the rump. "Don't have all day you know!"

He gave her a playful smile, trying to take her mind off the fact that she had to leave the necklace behind.

"Oh quiet you." Kira shot right back. The trip wasn't even a long one. Devin was just being silly. A shake of her blonde head and Kira gave a quirk of her lips. They messed with each other like this all the time. It wasn't anything serious. Most wouldn't believe how much of a joker her husband truly was. It reminded her of Draith, their son.

He was very much a prankster. An anaglam of them both in terms of humor. Kira wondered how he was doing. Worry arose again as it was wont to do when it came to their children. Hopefully he was doing okay.

Within five minutes the blonde would return sans necklace but with a smile. "Okay , we ready?"

[member="Kira Talith"]

"Yep." Soliael said quietly.

There wasn't really much else to do.

The shuttle had been prepared, The Freya was hidden behind the moon, and they had the supplies they needed. He wondered briefly if this would turn into another kind of horrid adventure, but maybe...just maybe they would get the information they needed and get out. It wasn't too much to ask given what they had found on the last planet. He let out a sigh and gently patted Kira on the rump again, urging her to the pilots chair with a smile.

"All yours, Captain." He told her with a smile. "Take her down gently."

With that Soliael threw himself into the co-pilots chair, strapping himself in just in case.

Kira gave a scrunch of her nose, as if the thought was ridiculous that she would do anything else. "As long as we don't get shot at." she tossed back, giving a shake of her head. A hot puff of air blew the blonde bangs away from her face. Alright, here we go.

Shutting the ramp behind them, Kira went through the preflight. The engines gave a low whine and then purred, prompting a nod from the Jedi Master. "Well we didn't blow up. So far so good on any lingering damages." she teased.

The shuttle arose to a hover before turning towards the hangerbay exit. From here, it would be a short flight.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"Looks good." He told her as he watched the half dozen readouts on his screen.

Everything seemed fine at the very least.

"I don't think we have any reason to be worried." Soliael said with a small smile as he glanced over towards her. His expression told that he had every confidence in her, the love in his eyes said that he had faith that whatever they encountered they would get through it. This journey had taken a turn, but that didn't mean it was at an end. They would beat these pirates, and then they would move on. "My wife helped fix this ship."

Well...she'd moved some wires. "She's an excellent mechanic."

The former false god offered Kira a wink.

"Now you are just trying to butter me up." Kira shot back with a flash of a smile and a shake of her head. This was Devin's humor.

"Get into my pants." again. Although, this time around they had other things to worry about. Like the new planet and keeping a low profile. Not getting ravaged against the shuttles piloting array.

Although...

"Any sign of pirate activity?" didn't hurt to be careful.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"None so far." Soliael said quietly as he briefly flicked a glance towards the sensor. He wasn't an expert communications officer by any means, but he could read the data just as well as anyone else. As far as he could tell they were just about the only things flying for the nearest...well anywhere. He frowned for a moment and then pulled up a map.

"You can set us down..." He looked around for a moment. "Here"

It was quite the walk, but if Kira got tired he could always carry her.

"Then we can see about getting in those pants." The words were said so quietly that Kira would likely have to strain to hear them.
